The article illustrates the participation of the talented master of the word, public and state figure, Oles Honchar in the literary – art life of the era (the second half of the XX-th century) on the basis of reference and information doc- uments from the personal archive of the writer (official invitations to literary and artistic events, dedicated to the anniversaries of prominent personalities, significant social events), author’s journalistic and diary discourses. His concrete participation in the preparation and conducting of this or that actionis determined, in particular; the role of Oles Ter- entyevich in honoring the memory of Ivan Kotliarevsky, Markiyan Shashkevich, Yuri Yanovsky, Ivan Drach, Lev Tol- stoy, Maxim Gorky, and his point of viewuponthe role of these personalities in Ukrainian and world cultural context have been characterized. The main attention is paid to the mechanism of the text forming as the final stage of the honoring process. This required the establishment of a link between the text of the statement and itsactional minifragments and the final ver- sion, published in such publications as “About Our Writing” (1982), “Writing reflections” (1980), “What we live in” (1991), as well as in the first book “Publicism” of the ninth volume of the works of the outstanding classic of Ukrainian literature (2012).It has been proved that various factors influence the formation of a minitext (actional) and macrotext (journalistic). Among them – subjective and those, that are objective in nature. Among the first – the ethical and moral principles of personality, the actual attitude towards people. In this connection, Oles Honchar’s creative and human relations with those, whom he wrote about, are clearly traced. This refers primarily to the artists the writer directly communicated with.Among other sources, the consciousness dominants of the creator of the text, dictated by the already mentioned significance of the event, the magnitude of the figure, the status of the action are highlighted. The attention is drawn to the forms of the culture intertext, which are the manifestation of the author’s counteraction to the system, that has already gone to the past, and the current system with all its defects. Sometimes this is done via allusions and reminiscences. It is also noted that the reviewed texts of Oles Honchar are marked by a high level of talent and at the same time are not deprived of some ideological accents, showing the style of the era, its canonized attributes. The general conclusion is that with a simple, at the first glance, reference and informative document (invitation), a whole artistic era is built up with its joys and anxieties. An equally important mean of elucidating the course of an event or the par- ticipation of Oles Honchar in it is the author’s journalistic and actional discourse.
