Aesthetics and Creativity: A Preliminary Exploration of Modern Poetry Teaching in Primary School Chinese——Taking Ai Qing’s Teaching of “Green” as an Example

Among all literary works, the language of poetry is the most concise, unique, and timeless, and its expression of emotions is particularly rich. Learning poetry can enhance one’s ability to appreciate various literary works. The way to enhance the aesthetic understanding of poetry itself is closely related to quality education in Chinese language teaching. Undoubtedly, it is particularly important for classroom teaching to guide students in creating poetic scenarios, inspiring them to explore the artistic conception of poetry, and guiding them to appreciate the unique expression of poetry. Teaching students the general method of self-reading and self-understanding modern poetry can be seen as a way to make poetry teaching twice the result with half the effort. Based on this, this article takes Ai Qing’s “Green” as an example to explore the teaching path of modern poetry in primary school Chinese for reference.

The Application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Approach In Learning The Indonesian Language

This research was conducted to reflect on teachers' performance and analyze the improvement of the quality of student learning in Indonesian language subjects. This research aims to explore the use of poetry learning strategies through CRT. The focus is on improving the quality of Indonesian language learning by implementing CRT in the students' environment. This research design uses a case study. Based on the implementation of Field Experience Practices, it was found that students looked sleepy and easily bored while learning the Indonesian language. This case was because Indonesian learning displays too much long text. So, the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach was implemented to solve the problem. Teaching using the CRT approach in the Indonesian language subject was carried out for eight weeks with two sessions of meetings in class X.1 of State Senior High School 1 Jember. The results showed that students actively participate in the learning process. Besides, learners' learning activities support the existence of learning products. The Indonesian language learning product produced is a musicalization video of poetry. The product also received feedback from the teacher in the form of appreciation, enthusiasm, and motivation for students. The findings of this research show that improving the quality of learning can be achieved by utilizing CRT as a context in the development of texts and their instruction. The meaningfulness of the learning can be seen from the students' deep understanding, enabling them to grasp the benefits and functions of studying texts in Indonesian. This study recommends implementing Culturally Responsive Teaching in Indonesian language learning subjects to increase student learning activities. One of the activities of Culturally Responsive Teaching is creating appropriate activities for students' cultural backgrounds in the form of musicalization poetry.

Learning by Heart as a Pedagogy of Hope: Envisionment-Building through Poetry Memorization and Recitation

ABSTRACT While memorization has been criticized as outdated, recent studies have suggested that memorized poetry constitutes a vital repository which enhances the quality of individuals’ lives. The pedagogical potential of learning poetry by heart, however, has hardly been explored in contemporary settings. This qualitative study focuses on the experiences of seven adolescent student participants in the inaugural National Poetry Recitation Competition held in Singapore in 2023, which involved 169 contestants. Employing an exploratory case study approach, including the analysis of interviews and field notes, this study applies Judith Langer’s concept of “envisionment-building” (2011) as a primary lens through which to interpret the students’ experiences, while elucidating aspects of their experiences in the light of schema theory. Findings indicate that students’ experiences demonstrate evidence of Langer’s first and fourth principles of envisionment-building most strongly, as manifested through the practice of poetry memorization and recitation. This study further proposes a model informed by students’ responses that could guide literature educators to support students in learning poetry by heart as a path towards envisionment-building, contributing to a pedagogy of hope while expanding opportunities to motivate deeper engagement with poetry.

Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Graphic Media in Poetry Text Learning for Fourth Grade Elementary School Students

This research aims to explain the problem-based learning model assisted by graphic media in learning poetry texts for fourth-grade elementary school students, as well as the process of implementing it in learning. The research was conducted in the 2022/2023 Academic Year, Even Semester, at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Zaytun, Sandrem Village, Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, with fourth-grade students in West Java Province. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The research design used is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model. The steps/phases of development include: Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery, and Evaluation. Data collection methods include interviews, questionnaires, observations, written tests, and performance assessments. The results of the research show that the design of a problem-based learning model assisted by graphic media in learning poetry texts for fourth-grade elementary school students is a new learning model developed from a problem-based learning model associated with graphic media, making learning more meaningful. The assessment results of the learning model design and media use were 70.5%, categorized as suitable for use. The learning media expert assessment results of 80% indicate that the learning media is suitable for use. Meanwhile, based on the results of the implementation of the problem-based learning model assisted by graphic media in learning poetry texts, the assessment results were 38 out of 44, or 86.4%, indicating that the implementation of the learning model was very suitable for use. Based on the data above, it is evident that a problem-based learning model assisted by graphic media in learning poetry texts for fourth-grade elementary school students is highly needed.

Amazwi Amasha: New Approaches to Sustainable Poetry Teaching and Learning

At many South African schools poetry is considered to be a “problem genre”, with both teachers and learners viewing it as “difficult” and as a genre that lowers schools’ pass rates in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) (Matric) examination. For this reason, schools tend to shy away from prescribing poetry at the Further Education and Training (FET) level (that is, in Grades 10-12). This article argues that the poems that are prescribed for English First Additional Language (EFAL) classes are difficult for learners to relate to because of having been written in contexts that are temporally and geographically distant from the learners’ life-worlds. In addition, many learners may not understand the particular variety of English that is used in canonical poetry. A new teaching anthology, entitled Amazwi Amasha (New Voices), containing South African post-1994 poetry, is in the process of being compiled to address the problem of learners’ alienation from their prescribed poems. This anthology forms the topic of this article. The theory and methodology underpinning the selection of poems and the design of learning activities to accompany each poem are described, along with the selection of themes that are relevant to young South Africans. The argument concludes that a more multimodal, interactive approach to teaching and learning poetry can help tap into the resources of this capacious and fascinating genre.

Environmental Case Method in Learning Poetry of Students at Senior High School: An Ethnoecological Literature Study

Literature and poetry play a crucial role in education by fostering students' sensitivity and reasoning towards literary works. This study aims to explore and describe practical approaches for teaching poetry using the environmental case method to students at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. This is a qualitative study, with data collected from class XI students during the 2022/2023 academic year through discussions and activities involving the case method. The descriptive qualitative method was employed to address two primary challenges: (1) students' difficulty in writing poetry and (2) students' difficulty in reading poetry. The findings reveal practical strategies to overcome these challenges by integrating environmental cases into the case method model. Specifically, this method helps students improve their poetry writing and reading skills by contextualizing poetry within real-world environmental issues. The implications of this research suggest that employing the environmental case method can enhance poetry teaching strategies broadly, making poetry more accessible and engaging for students. By applying this method, students can develop their poetry writing and reading abilities, thereby enriching their overall literary experience and appreciation.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran ICT Berbasis Game Edukatif Wordwall Sajak Bahasa Sunda Di Sekolah Dasar

Technology that continues to develop has an impact on the world of education, including the use of ICT (Information, Communication and Technology) based learning media. This research aims to develop ICT-based learning media, namely educational word wall game-based learning media for class V students with Sundanese poetry material. The research method used in this research is the ADDIE development research method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The steps for product development include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The students' response to this learning media was very good, none of the students were sleepy or bored of learning using game learning media because they were curious about what would happen afterward. The product developed in this research is ICT-based learning media based on wordwall educational games involving opening boxes and random name selection. The results of this research are that educational games learning media are very suitable to be used to support the learning of Sundanese poetry for class V elementary schools.

Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Gambar Peristiwa dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Puisi

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of event image media and its use in learning poetry writing material for class V students at MIS Jihadul Iman Pota, East Manggarai Regency. This research uses quantitative experimental research with a one-group pre-test post-test research design. The data collection method was observation and tests (pre-test and post-test). The results of descriptive data analysis show that the average reality score for students writing poetry before using event image media (pre-test) is 56.31. Meanwhile, the average reality score for students writing poetry after using event image media (post-test) was 84.73. The inferential data analysis using the N-gain test showed that the percentage value in the high category was 63%, and the low category reached 37%. This shows a difference in the results of students' poetry writing abilities before and after using event image media, as seen from the post-test score, which is greater than the pre-test score. Thus, event image media is suitable for learning poetry writing material.

Reading Choi Seung-ja’s Poetry as University Liberal Arts Education: Focusing on the Case of University’s 〈Reading poetry〉

This paper studies the case of teaching Korean poetry texts when conducting masterful reading and reading classes in university liberal arts education. It would be near impossible to present an ideal and complete list when creating a reading list for such a course. However, in this paper, it is suggested that Choi Seung-ja's poetry should be placed on any list that deals with those times in life when life itself is neglected, as well as used in liberal arts education classes at universities. In our current age, which is seeing an increase in depression among young people, this paper argues that the theme of death as seen in Choi Seung-ja's poem can actually give hope to its readers, and instill in them a level of resistance to death that will manifest as a will to life.</br>In Choi Seung-ja's poem, death is a tragedy given to us humans, but it tells us how to deal with this tragedy so that we can overcome death. The attitude of the poetic persona is repeated and circulated and strengthened, and readers can adopt the courage needed to stand up to death by reading about the attitude of the poetic persona. In this paper, the significance of character education and poetry reading by learners living in an environment of death after COVID-19, can be confirmed in Choi Seung-ja's poetry learning. Learners find a way to overcome death in a finite life where death is a certainty. This process was confirmed in the ‘Writing Poetry Review’, which was written during the process of learning Choi Seung-ja's poetry. Thus, this paper revealed that Choi Seung-ja's poetry can function as a very efficient text in poetry education.

Pengaruh Hasil Belajar Keterampilan Menulis Puisi Dengan Model Field Trip Siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Andi Tonro Kota Makassar

The main problem in this research is that there is an influence of the field trip model on the learning outcomes of poetry writing skills for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City. This research aims to describe the influence of learning outcomes on poetry writing skills using a field trip model for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City.This type of research is quantitative research that uses experimental research (pre-experimental design) with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all fourth grade students at SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City with a sample size of 48 students. The research instruments used to collect data were tests (pretest-posttest) and observation sheets.T he data analysis technique used in this research uses descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the t test. The results of the research prove that there is an influence on the results of learning poetry writing skills using the field trip model for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City.

Research on Application and Significance of Phonology in Linguistics

Ancient poetry reading is an indispensable part of high school learning, and it is also a compulsory part of the college entrance examination. Many students have difficulties in learning ancient poetry and prose, namely, poor understanding and low efficiency. This study uses the phonology knowledge rarely involved in high school as the research object, and analyzes the artistic conception of some ancient poems by using relatively simple techniques such as sticky pairs and rheology. The study aims to discover phonological knowledge and promote students' learning of ancient poetry and prose.

Penggunaan Dampak Positif Terhadap Eksplorasi Kreativitas Literasi Digital Painting Canva Pembelajaran Puisi Kelas 5 SDN Gondek

This study aims to examine the use of Canva's digital painting platform in poetry learning for grade 5 students of SDN Gondek. The research methods used were observation, interviews, and document analysis to collect data related to the exploration of Canva's digital painting literacy creativity in poetry learning. The results showed that the use of Canva positively influenced students' exploration of creativity in understanding and expressing poetry. Students show great interest and enthusiasm in using Canva to illustrate their understanding of the poetry being studied. Thus, the use of technology in digital painting literacy can increase students' creativity in learning poetry at the elementary level.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INSTAGRAM SOCIAL MEDIA AS AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE POETRY WRITING SKILLS IN GRADE X STUDENTS OF YAPIN KERTASEMAYA VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

This research investigates the application of Instagram social media to enhance poetry writing skills among Class X students at SMK YAPIN Kertasemaya during the academic year 2022/2023. The study, focusing on 14 students in the ASKEP class, addresses the identified deficiency in poetry writing proficiency within the school. The research aims to answer two key questions: 1) How does the application of Instagram social media impact learning in poetry writing? 2) What is the effect of Instagram social media on the improvement of learning outcomes in poetry writing? The research employs a classroom action research methodology, with 14 Class X students as subjects. Data collection involves observations and tests conducted in two cycles. The findings reveal a notable enhancement in the process of learning poetry writing skills. In Cycle I, the average test score was 70, and it increased to 73 in Cycle II, indicating a positive progression. Consequently, the research concludes that the implementation of Instagram as a learning tool effectively improves poetry writing skills among Class X ASKEP students at SMK YAPIN Kertasemaya, influencing positive behavioral changes in the students' approach to writing poetry.

Peningkatan Kemampuan Keterampilan Menulis Puisi dengan Memanfaatkan Media Audio Visual Siswa Kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli

This research was motivated by the fact that Indonesian language skills were still low or below average among class VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli, especially the ability to write poetry. The purpose of this research is to measure the increase in poetry writing sills by utilizing audio visual media. The method used is a description method using a classroom action research (PTK) design. Based on hasti in the learning carried out by teachers, more than 75% of students got a score below the minimum criteria (KKM), namely 75. Seeing this condition, it is necessary to discuss the use of certain learning media to improve students abilities in learning poetry writing in class VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli middle schools, the media chosen was audio visual media, the increase in students ability to write poetry can be seen in the result of the first cycle of research which obtained a total of 1.630 whit an average of 36 and 12 people were declared to have passed the KKM (75). In the second cycle the student’s ability to write poems after using the audio-visual media obtained an increase with several 2.380 with an average of 82, zelush cycle 1 and ll can be seen with several 150 and an average of 26. Based on this, awayang is categorized as complete in actus learning, has research 100%. Citraan Puisi di Negeri Amplop pada MK Kajian Puisi Mahasiswa Bahasa Indonesia FKIP UNKHAIR

Imagery is a form of language use that can give a concrete impressions of an object, scene, action, or statement that distinguishes it from abstract expository statements and usually has something to do with symbolism. This is illustrated in the poem "Di Negeri Amplop" by KH. A. Mustofa Bisri which involves 7 elements of poetic imagery. The purpose of this study is (1) to find out how students analyze the image of poetry in the land of KH's envelope. A Mustofa Bisri. (2). To find out the application of poetry learning materials by lecturers. Researchers use descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques include: Observation, Interview, and Documentation. In connection with this, data analysis techniques can be obtained from various sources of books related to poetry. The data analysis techniques data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this study show that students' ability to analyze poetry imagery is still very low. This is related to the method of application in learning is still conventional. Furthermore, it can be argued that imagery is a style of narration that is widely used in literary writing. The image gives an interesting impression to the poem "Di Negeri Envelope" by KH. A. Mustofa Bisri which involves the 7 elements of imagery. In connection with this, the application of literature learning methods must be varied so that students' analytical skills can be improved.

Analisis pembelajaran menulis puisi peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar

This study aims to describe and explain planning, implementation and assessment held by the teacher in writing poetry learning for grade IV student in SD Negeri 6 Bendungan for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data is tested using triangulation method using source triangulation and metodological triangulation. The data is analyze using interactive analysis method, which consists of 3 stages, which are: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that (1) planning of writing poetry learning in grade IV SD Negeri 6 Bendungan begins with the preparation of learning objectives (ATP), making teaching modules (MA), and determining the criteria for completing learning objectives (KKTP). (2) The implementation of write poetry learning is carried out for 3 meetings. The first meeting was in the form of initial assessment activities, the second was group assignments, and the third was individual assignments by producing a product in the form of poetry. An Educational Virtual Reality Game from an Embodied Cognitive Perspective -Take the Game Poetry as an Example

With the rapid development of virtual reality (VR) technology, it has become a trend to apply VR technology to assist teaching in the field of education. At present, the learning of traditional poetry is often in the form of book learning. The lack of physical and sensory interaction in the learning process leads to a lack of initiative and enthusiasm for learning, resulting in low learning efficiency. Based on this background, this paper develops a poetry learning game based on VR technology, which creates interactive scenarios based on the depiction of poems and allows users to learn poems in an immersive experience. Users can complete their poetry learning objectives by experiencing the games plots and completing game tasks. Based on embodied cognition theory, the game applies the strong sense of presence and immersion of VR technology to enhance the interaction between the users body and the poetry scene, thus improving the users knowledge and understanding of the poetry, deepening their memory of the poetry and enabling them to learn in a more effective and interesting form. The game uses Cinema4D to design and model the poetry scenes and the game engine Unity to realize the interaction with the user. Through the study of the game scenes and user evaluation, the experimental results show that the game achieves the design purpose and has an application value.

KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL

The purpose of this study was to describe the methods, media, and student responses in learning poetry in class X SMK PAB 10 Patumbak. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are observation, essay tests, and documentation. The research data is information about poetry learning in class X, with 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class; data sources are from researchers, students, and events in learning to write poetry. The data analysis technique uses a contextual approach that is perfect for learning to write poetry in class X SMK PAB 10 Patumbak. The results of this study found that the learning method used by researchers was a contextual approach using essay tests. This method can arouse students' enthusiasm and interest in participating in learning, and the media researchers use relates to the surrounding natural environment. The results of student scores with an average achievement in control class learning with a score of 65, while experimental class learning with a score of 80 indicate that students' writing skills in contextual learning are better. Student responses were grouped into two, namely, positive and negative responses. Students' positive responses were shown by the activity of writing poetry in the experimental class using a contextual approach, namely being active in asking and answering questions posed by researchers, and the negative responses of students in the control class were seen by the lack of enthusiasm of students towards the use of the lecture method by researchers and the placement of class schedules at the end meetings where the condition of students is tired and hungry.
