Reflecting on the Implementation of Online English Learning in Islamic Higher Education

The penetration of technology into education has rebounded since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic era, especially in bridging the practice of online learning in schools and universities. Reflecting on the practice of online learning, teachers and students give various perceptions. Some benefits and obstacles are mentioned. This descriptive study focused on investigating the perception of lecturers and students toward online language learning in Islamic higher education. The data were collected from teachers and students in three Islamic Higher Education, namely the State Islamic Institute of Palopo, the State Islamic Institute of Bone, and the State Islamic University of Makassar. The questionnaire was used to collect data from 12 lecturers and 86 students participating. In contrast, the interview was used to gain more profound information about the lecturers’ experience and opinions about implementing online learning. From both the questionnaire and the interview, the writers concluded that Lecturers and students in Islamic higher education in South Sulawesi have a positive view of online EFL learning. They value the flexibility, access to resources, and networking opportunities it provides. Students appreciate the ability to manage their learning independently, connect with diverse learners, and engage with various language aspects. However, there's a need for improvements in technology familiarity, stable internet access, access to online learning equipment, and pedagogical training for lecturers to enhance the online learning experience further.

Merdeka Belajar in Islamic Religious Education Learning (Case Study of Implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungagung)

This research analyzes “Merdeka Belajar” in Islamic religious education learning in implementing “Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar” at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungagung. The research method used is a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques are used to explore data by conducting interviews, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of his research were that planning the “Kurikulum Merdeka” for Islamic Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungangung was carried out using assessment planning in stages, including cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, process assessments in the form of trigger questions and summative assessments. Implementation of the “Kurikulum Merdeka” for Islamic Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungangung is done by implementing assessments before and after learning. In practice, if educators want to know students' cognitive abilities, educators present questions that are related to the learning material. Implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum starts with preliminary, core, and closing activities. Obstacles to implementing the “Kurikulum Merdeka” include limited material in student books, limited facilities and infrastructure, material in the Merdeka curriculum not yet fully mastered by teachers, implementation of an inclusive school system, limited technology capabilities that support the implementation of the “Kurikulum Merdeka.”

The learning method used in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for Islamic religious education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Itqon Bogor is by using a learning by doing system, inquiry method, question and answer method, demonstration method, and lecture method.

Development of Gender-Based Interactive Learning Media Assisted by Augmented Reality

Demands for the use of technology globally continue to grow rapidly in the world of education. Implementation of technology in education can take the form of using digital-based learning media. The aim of this research is to produce a product in the form of an interactive module assisted by gender-based augmented reality on human nature material. This type of research is development or Research of Development (R&D) with a 4-D design which includes define, design, develop and disseminate. Respondents in this research were media experts, material experts, language experts, gender experts, educators and students. Product trials were carried out on lecturers and students involved in Islamic Education lectures. The product validity value obtained an average of 94.25% with a very valid category. Based on the validation results, it can be stated that the gender-based augmented reality-assisted interactive module on human nature material is a valid product and can be used as teaching material in learning Islamic Education.

Problematika Pembelajaran PAI dalam Mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka

When viewed from the facts in the field, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (IKM) shows that it has not been fully realized due to various problems, including the learning of Islamic Religious Education. Learning Islamic Religious Education as a series of Islamic subjects is delivered with material taught from elementary school to tertiary level and must respond well to the Merdeka Belajar policy. Therefore, it is important to carry out an evaluation, starting with identifying obstacles so that appropriate solutions are determined. Various problems are even starting to be felt, especially by teaching staff who play an important role in the learning process. The research carried out has the aim of analyzing various problems that exist in implementing the independent curriculum. The method used is a qualitative approach using a literature review or library research method. In this case the researcher used a literature review with a narrative review. After conducting research, it was found that there were several obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning, namely obstacles originating from infrastructure, teacher conditions, student conditions, school environment, family and also the government.

Pengaruh Kebiasaan Membaca Al-Qur’an Terhadap Hasil Belajar PAI Siswa Kelas X di SMK Mandala Leuwiliang Kabupaten Bogor

The Influence of Al-Qur’an Reading Habits on Islamic Education Learning Outcomes of Class X Students at SMK MANDALA Leuwiliang, Bogor Regency. This research is motivated by the low interest of students to get used to reading the Qur'an at SMK MANDALA From this phenomenon, a desire arises to examine whether there is an effect of the habit of reading the Qur'an on student Islamic education learning outcomes. This research is done at SMK Mandala Leuwiliang, Bogor Regency. The research population is 121 students while the sample is 35 people Technique nonprobability sampling used sampling purposive. This study used the quantitative method with a research instrument using a questionnaire for Al-Qur’an Reading Habits and PTS scores for Student Islamic Education Learning Outcomes. Data were analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation Technique. The research results obtained r count = 0.367 > r table = 0.344. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is an influence of Al-Qur’an Reading Habits on Students' PAI Learning Outcomes. Likewise the significance test with the t test shows t count 2.267 > t table 2.035. This means the influence of the habit of reading the Koran Students' PAI learning outcomes are a significant influence, while the contribution of Al-Qur'an Reading Habits is shown by KD (Coefficient of Determination) = 0.135 which means that Al-Qur'an Reading Habits contribute 13.5% to Results Study PAI Students.

APPLICATION OF B.F. SKINNER'S BEHAVIORISM LEARNING THEORY IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION LEARNING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study aimed to know and describe the application of B.F Skinner's Operant Conditioning Behaviorism Learning Theory in Islamic Education learning at high school students and to know students' responses. In this study, the researchers described the forms of stimulus provision and the principles of Operant Conditioning B.F Skinner applied in Islamic Education learning. This research used qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. While data analysis is done with several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that B.F Skinner's Operant Conditioning Behaviourism Learning Theory in Islamic Education learning was successfully applied. The implication of this research shows that overall the application of the theory resulted in a good response and changes in student behaviour in a positive direction in the form of the formation of learning motivation, activeness, reinforcement and improved student memory.

Uniting Science and Faith: A Re-STEAM Interdisciplinary Approach in Islamic Education Learning

This study explores the effective Re-STEAM (Religion, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) interdisciplinary approach in teaching Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDIT Al-Khawarizmi and SDN 031 Tanah Grogot, Indonesia. The research addresses the need to revitalize PAI learning by integrating it with other disciplines, particularly science and technology. Using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach and Multi-Site Design, the study investigates the impact of Re-STEAM on student learning outcomes. Results indicate that this approach significantly enhances students' learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and understanding of PAI materials. Integrating science and faith through Re-STEAM helps students apply Islamic values daily and prepares them for 21st-century challenges. Moreover, it demonstrates that modern science complements religious teachings, fostering a balanced development of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. The findings suggest that the Re-STEAM approach effectively combines academic competence with strengthened faith and character, aligning with the core principles of Islamic education.

PAI Teachers' Strategies In Improving Students' Learning Activity In PAI Subjects In Elementary Schools (Case Study Research at SDN 2 Parakan Garokgek, Purwakarta Regency)

This study was motivated by observations showing low interest and activeness of students in participating in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, which has implications for the achievement of learning objectives that are not optimal. This study explores the strategies Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to improve student learning activeness in Elementary Schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method—data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Research participants consisted of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, principals, and homeroom teachers at the school. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and qualitatively to understand the strategies applied by teachers in planning and implementing learning and the factors that influence its success. The study results showed that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers used various innovative and creative learning strategies to improve student learning activeness, such as discussion methods, group work, and interactive learning media. In addition, this study identified factors that influence the success of learning strategies, including active student involvement, support from the school environment, and teacher competence and creativity in teaching. This study provides theoretical contributions in the form of new knowledge and insights regarding Islamic Religious Education learning strategies in elementary schools and practical benefits for teachers, schools, and educational institutions to improve the quality of learning and student learning activity.

Sosialisasi Meningkatkan Semangat Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 36 Bengkulu Tengah

The limited level of public education and the low level of education and skills in the field of Islam are quite complex problems in the development process. The pursuit of knowledge is very important because knowledge is a means that everyone uses to achieve prosperity in this world and the hereafter. This lack of understanding of the teachings of the Islamic religion is very embarrassing because Islamic religious education is very important. On this occasion, we, students of KKN UIN FAS group 18, will provide an understanding of Islamic religious education to the children of State Elementary School 36, Central Bengkulu. The method of implementing community service that we carry out is a qualitative descriptive method. From the activities that have been carried out it can be confirmed that studying Islam in elementary schools has a lot of importance for children's development. The following are several reasons why Islamic religious education is important at the elementary school level, Character Formation, Understanding of Ethics and Morals, Introduction to Spiritual Values, Knowledge of Worship, Prevention from Negative Influences, Strengthening Islamic Identity, and Preparing a Generation with Noble Characters. Based on the implementation of activities and learning during the activities, it is known that socialization related to increasing enthusiasm for learning Islamic religious education at SDN 36 Central Bengkulu City has influenced students and teachers. The real impact is expanding understanding of Islamic religious knowledge through improving learning methods and utilizing the latest technological advances. Apart from that, as activity participants, students can gain insight into the importance of studying Islam so that they are more easily motivated.

The Processes of Memorizing the Qur'an Program as An Optimization of Islamic Religious Education Learning in Shaping the Noble Morals of Students

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe: the paradigm, objectives, programs, processes, evaluations, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the impact of memorizing (tahfizh) the Qur'an tahfizh program as an optimization of Islamic Religious Education learning in shaping the noble character of students at SMP IT Qordova and SMP Al Amanah Bandung Regency. This research is qualitative research using phenomenological and ethnographic methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and literature. Data analysis is carried out by sorting out the data obtained and then collecting it for analysis and conclusions. The results of this study show that the process of the tahfizh Al-Qur'an program as an optimization of Islamic religious education learning in shaping the noble character of students in the two schools begins by strengthening the motivation and responsibility of students to learn by memorizing the Qur'an and is realized through the stages of planning, learning, using media, methods and learning administration. These findings highlight the Al-Quran tahfizh program as optimizing Islamic religious education learning in forming students' noble morals.

Investigating Islamic Religious Education Teacher Beliefs Toward Multimedia Learning

<p><em>Teachers' beliefs regarding multimedia learning are essential. This study aims to explore teachers' beliefs about multimedia learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Senior High School in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research employed the mix-method QUAN-QUAL, the exploratory sequential design. Nine teachers were involved based on a purposive sampling technique. Twenty-three questionnaire items were constructed to collect the quantitative data. An interview guide was used to collect the qualitative data. The quantitative data was collected through a cross-sectional survey, and the qualitative data was collected through a semi-structured interview. The SPSS version 26 was utilized to analyze the quantitative. Moreover, thematic or coding analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. Multimedia learning was shown to have excellent potential to improve students' learning experiences. With proper implementation and adequate support, multimedia learning could effectively improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education. However, some challenges must be faced to achieve optimal learning outcomes. </em></p>

Teknologi dan Personalisasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam untuk Generasi Z

This study discusses the integration of technology and personalized learning in Islamic education for Generation Z. The research employs a qualitative approach with literature review as the main method. The findings indicate that technology can enhance learning effectiveness by providing interactive tools and platforms accessible anytime and anywhere. Technology allows for more engaging material delivery and helps students understand Islamic concepts through visualization and simulation. Personalized learning allows curriculum and teaching methods to be tailored to individual student needs, which can increase their motivation and learning outcomes. Generation Z, who have grown up in a digital environment, greatly benefit from this approach. However, challenges such as the digital divide, negative impacts of technology on social and spiritual interactions, and the substantial resources required for personalized learning need to be addressed. A balanced strategy between the use of technology and the preservation of Islamic values is necessary to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and effective in the digital era. Developing technological infrastructure, training programs for teachers and students, and relevant curricula are essential to achieving these goals.

A Multicultural Approach in Islamic Education Learning to Strengthen the Islamic Identity of Moderate Students in PTKIN Aceh

This research project investigates the challenges of religious tolerance and radicalism in Indonesia, focusing on university students and the context of conservative shifts. This study examines the approach the State Islamic University (UIN) in Aceh utilized to advance a moderate interpretation of Islam, integrating multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education. The study employs a qualitative methodology, including in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The findings illustrate that UIN Aceh has adapted its curriculum to integrate multicultural values to foster religious tolerance among students. The influence of lecturers who espouse moderate attitudes and the active engagement of students in activities that promote diversity have been demonstrated to be effective in reducing radical tendencies. The research underscores the necessity of continuously assessing the strategy's effectiveness and emphasizes the importance of multicultural-based learning in fostering students' appreciation of diverse perspectives. Ultimately, this multicultural approach is expected to shape individuals who are morally upright, tolerant, and capable of collaboration in a diverse society. The study's outcomes offer valuable insights for other educational institutions in devising strategies to encourage tolerance and curb student radicalism.

Penerapan Metode CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SDN 20 Kota Bengkulu

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method in Islamic Education learning at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with research subjects consisting of 28 sixth-grade students and teachers teaching Islamic Education at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the implementation of the CIRC learning method involves all school authorities, supportive facilities and infrastructure, media selection, modes, strategies, and lesson plan preparation by Islamic Education teachers. With the implementation of this learning model, students are able to understand reading texts and solve issues within the readings. The CIRC learning method is considered effective as it enhances student engagement, makes them enjoy the learning process, and aids in understanding readings without feeling bored. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that the application of the CIRC method is effective in Islamic Education learning at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. This method enhances students' understanding of Islamic concepts and their ability to apply religious values in daily life. Therefore, it is recommended to continue implementing the CIRC method in Islamic Education teaching to enhance the quality of learning and students' learning outcomes consistently. This study explores the intellectual structure of Islamic education within the context of distance learning through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. By mapping key themes, influential authors, and research trends, this research provides a detailed overview of the scholarly discourse and identifies emerging patterns and challenges. The thematic clusters identified include strategic approaches to digital pedagogy, the integration of multimedia resources, and the adaptation of traditional Islamic educational institutions to modern technologies. The analysis highlights significant research trends towards digital transformation and modernization while emphasizing the need to balance these with traditional educational values. Additionally, the study identifies opportunities for future research in developing culturally appropriate digital content and overcoming barriers such as the digital divide. Development and Validity of Arabic Muamalat Module (M~BAM) for Islamic Finance Higher Education Learning Program

The objective of this paper is to develop an Arabic Muamalat Module (M~BAM) and evaluate its effectiveness in improving mastery of Arabic related to muamalat. This module is constructed using the ADDIE model, which consists of five development phases. The study design is descriptive, employing a quantitative approach. The instrument used for the study is the module content-validation assessment form. The module underwent validation by six experts in validity assessment, comprising lecturers from both public and private universities as well as Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) lecturers. All possess expertise in module development, Arabic content, and pedagogy. The results of the experts' validity assessment indicate that the module is relevant and usable, with a mean score of 4.29. It can be concluded that a meticulous approach to developing the M~BAM module is required for Islamic finance students, aligning with educational standards, and employing diverse teaching methods. With a focus on authentic dialogue and comprehensive exercises, the module promises effective Arabic language acquisition and enhanced understanding of muamalat concepts. The M~BAM module exhibits strong alignment with course objectives, facilitating effective learning in muamalat and Islamic finance. Technical validity assessments emphasize the significance of visual elements for engagement and comprehension, recommending enhancements accordingly. It is recommended that improvements for module usage, such as conducting pre- and post-tests is required.

Implementation of Project-Based Learning Model in Islamic Religious Education for Grade X at Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Surakarta

<em>A learning model is an approach to change learners' behavior adaptively or generatively, which is strongly related to learners' learning styles and teachers' teaching styles. One prominent learning model is Project-Based Learning (project based learning), where students actively participate in real projects to solve real-world problems independently. This research focuses on the implementation of project based learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which aims to develop learners' religious values and character. This research uses a phenomenological approach to describe the situation in the field and understand individual experiences in the context of everyday life. Through direct data collection in the field, this study reveals how project based learning in Islamic Education affects the development of students' social skills, creativity, and concept understanding. The results show that project based learning not only improves students' academic understanding, but also builds inclusive character and effective communication skills in group collaboration. In conclusion, project based learning in Islamic Religious Education makes a positive contribution to education by combining religious values with project-based learning. By going in-depth, this study hopes to provide useful insights for future educational development, particularly in the context of relevant and empowering religious teaching.</em>
