Implementation of Digital-Based Adult Learning Education (ALE) at Community Learning Centre (CLC)

This study aims to answer the challenges of globalization of information and the position of advanced technology in adult learning education that accelerates the diffusion of science and technology in the work or social life and encourages adults to adapt to the times. This research uses mixed methods, with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research was conducted at a community education institution, namely a CLC in Indonesia, with a total response of 120 adult learners from 43 CLCs. The results of the study are: 1) CLC has provided material according to the needs of the learning community with cooperative, participatory and collaborative learning; 2) CLC has facilitated its learning citizens to discuss and provide digital exercises and quizzes; 3) CLC has provided learning materials that are tailored to the needs of learning citizens; and 4) adult learners are considered satisfied with the learning and learning facilities in CLC. Digital-based adult learning education has been implemented in CLC in Indonesia. Despite COVID-19 disruptions, digitalization has brought positive changes to adult learning. It has diversified the learning process, requiring educators to be more creative. However, around 20% of the 43 CLCs continue conventional learning. Because institutions are not yet fully ready to equip IT equipment and most adult learners prefer face-to-face This research illustrates that teaching adults requires the right learning approach or strategy; boredom does not occur in learning. However, 20% of CLCs must still be ready to digitize adult learning education.

Assessment of the development of social skills among undergraduate medical students through participation in a socio-educational project during the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic: a Brazilian pilot study

Coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 had an impact on medical graduation, causing weaknesses arising from social isolation and remote emergency teaching, with an emphasis on deficits in the development of non-technical skills (soft skills). In this context, the interaction between a group of medical students and adolescents who develop activities at the Center for Learning and Mobilization for Citizenship in Campinas/SP, Brazil, was evaluated about the development of soft skills during the COVID-19 pandemic. The observational study was carried out using an electronic questionnaire based on a Likert scale on the feelings of undergraduate medical students regarding participation in project activities in the context of the development of social skills. The study demonstrated an important positive impact of student participation in a socio-educational project for the development of soft skills, emphasizing the ability to deal with adverse situations, decision-making, and the ability to deal with the fear of not corresponding. However, the existence of limitations and difficulties in the development of non-technical skills by students was revealed, further reinforced by the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this aspect, the study demonstrated participation in a voluntary social project as an important strategy to improve the teaching of these skills.Graphical

Hacia una convivencia democrática: El desafío de repensar ciudadanamente la formación y gestión de dos escuelas chilenas

Purpose. This article analyzes and discusses the scope, in terms of citizenship learning, that stems from the definitions of ‘management’ provided by two public schools in Chile. Method. The research employed a quantitative methodology with a descriptive scope. The sampling was intentional, involving 73 students, 28 teachers, and 6 assistants. Data were collected through a survey and documentary analysis and were analyzed using SPSS software. Results. Schools primarily based their decisions on a bureaucratic and total quality management approach. Meanwhile, they declared a maximalist conception of citizenship education, but its pedagogical implementation was reduced to fragmented actions with limited participation and an emphasis on results. Conclusions. It is proposed to rethink and transform management processes at both micro and macro levels to facilitate the formation and experience of democratic citizenship in schools. Since these processes mutually influence each other, it is recommended to design proposals with the educational community rather than distancing from it.

Citizen Project Based on Problem Solving Skills

This study aims to develop a citizen project design based on problem-solving skills in the General Citizenship Course. The research method used is the R&D method following the Borg & Gall procedure. The research subjects involved: lecturers in charge of the Citizenship course; students as subjects for limited group trials; and four experts for validation of the citizen project practice design. The instrument used was an expert validation questionnaire which was analyzed using the Percentage of Average Score (PRS). Meanwhile, data analysis related to students' abilities in problem-solving skills was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques on the results of observations. The results of the study showed that the citizen project design based on problem-solving skills was declared valid and feasible to be used in Citizenship learning. The results also showed that the citizen project design can improve students' skills in solving problems, which include: critical thinking and problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills, contextual learning skills, and creation and renewal skills.

The Effectiveness of the Project Citizen Learning Model on Student’ Critical Thingking Skills on the Topic of Preserving My Nation's Cultur (A Quasi-Experimental Study in Eighth Grade at SMP Negeri 3 Purbalingga)

This study aims to determine the impact of applying the Project Citizen learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the Pancasila Education subject for Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Purbalingga. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consists of 32 students from class VIII F as the experimental group and 32 from class VIII G as the control group. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Based on statistical analysis using SPSS, a significance value of 0.000 0.05 was obtained, indicating that the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (HA) is accepted. The percentage results showed an increase in the experimental group's performance from 71% before the intervention to 81% after the intervention, resulting in a 10% improvement. It can be concluded that the Project Citizen learning model significantly impacts the critical thinking skills of Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Purbalingga on the topic of preserving my nation's culture.

Blended Learning: Analysis of University Student Learning Motivation for Citizenship Learning Courses in Elementary Teacher Education

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for ongoing education, prompting the education sector to seek alternatives to solely online learning. One of the steps that this university has taken is to combine the benefits of face-to-face and online learning through the use of technology, which is called blended learning. This study aims to assess the extent of student motivation for learning in a mixed learning environment in the Citizenship Learning course within the Elementary School Teacher Education department at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. This study employs a mixed method approach, with a sample size of 30 students as participants. Data for the study was acquired via observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The study results showed that the level of university student motivation towards Citizenship Learning through blended learning was 63.72% with a high category. This study showed that students’ learning motivation remains strong when using blended learning despite challenges like internet network reliability, device availability, and implementing appropriate learning methodologies.

Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Melalui Media Power Point Pada Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

The focus of the research is to advance Pancasila and Citizenship (PKN) learning on the topic of Getting to Know the Environment in grade IV of Elementary School through Power Point media. The research approach uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study involved grade IV students in the first semester at Bulakrejo 03 Elementary School, Sukoharjo District, in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, data collection and testing. The data analysis method uses comparative descriptive, namely differentiating PKN learning outcomes between cycles before using Power Point software and learning outcomes after using Power Point for two cycles. The research results can be explained that the initial value of PKN learning outcomes on the topic of Getting to Know the Environment was an average class score of 67.67 with a classical completion level of 53.33%. In cycle I, the average class score increased to 73.00 with classical completion reaching 73.33%. While in cycle II, the average class score increased to 77.00 with classical completion reaching 90.90%. The results of the study show that the use of Power Point media can improve learning outcomes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education on the topic of Getting to Know the Surrounding Environment for fourth grade students of Bulakrejo 03 Elementary School, Sukoharjo District in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Rescue of the historical-cultural heritage of the Yanesha: interculturality and inclusive education of the oral traditions

Interculturality based on customs, dialects, historical, linguistic and oral traditions are essential for the construction of a just, inclusive and equitable society. Hence the importance of the diverse participation of children from original families who through their own expressions exercise their learning of citizenship in schools, which is usable from an early age and also based on sharing these through their parents with the aim of settling in the child. However, there has been little progress in practical experience of this inclusion and reassessment at the pedagogical level. This article sought to open reflective spaces and deliberation about the importance of oral traditions within the rescue of the historical cultural heritage of the Yanesha under an intercultural approach and inclusive education. The research was carried out in a case study of ethnographic methods carried out throughout the academic year 2019-2020, which hovers over participatory observation, unstructured interviews and documentary analysis, taking into consideration 5 oral traditions narrated by Ayllu parents of the Yanesha people of the Hauswald Initial Educational Institution. The results indicated that it is possible to establish actions focused on oral traditions to favor the teaching of values and nurture cultural inclusion in the children of the institution. Thus, the inescapable attention to interculturality from an external level of the Initial Educational Institution Hauswald is an enriching opportunity for established educational trends that value diversity, especially for being in a country diverse in culture, language and ethnicity and because it is one of the competencies of future generations

Learning Strategies for Equal Education Programs for Learning Citizen in Non-Formal Education

Equal education programs in non-formal education units are an important means of ensuring access to education for students who have been marginalized from formal education. In facing complex challenges such as the inability to access formal education for various reasons, learning strategies are key in achieving educational equality. This research aims to explore various effective learning strategies in the context of equality education in non-formal education units. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely exploring social phenomena through observation, in-depth interviews, and text analysis to understand in depth how these learning strategies are implemented and integrated in non-formal learning environments.. The research results show that effective learning strategies include creating an inclusive learning environment that pays attention to individual needs, providing a curriculum that is relevant and appropriate to the needs of participants, as well as utilizing technology and innovative learning methods consider specific characteristics of equity education, such as experiential learning approaches, distance learning, or technology-based learning. The implication of this research is the importance of developing learning strategies that are adaptive and responsive to the needs of students in equal education in non-formal education units, thereby ensuring that all individuals have equal opportunities to access education and improve their quality of life.

Pengaruh Penerapan Model Project Citizen terhadap Peningkatan Civic Disposition Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Binjai

The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the Project Citizen learning model affects the Civic Disposition of class XI students of SMA Negeri 7 Binjai. The research methodology used is quantitative. To determine the causal relationship between the independent variable (Project Citizen, variable X) and the dependent variable (Civic Disposition, variable Y), the research design used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. This research uses data collection techniques, namely questionnaires, documentation studies and observation. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Binjai North Sumatra. The population in this study were all 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 7 Binjai. While the samples are students of class XI-7 and XI-6. The data found were analyzed statistically with the t test then normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with paired sample t-test. The results showed that the Project Citizen learning model had a significant effect on improving the Civic Disposition of students in class XI-7. This can be seen from the mean or average results of Pre-Test and Post-Test Civic Disposition in experimental classes. Where the experimental Pre-Test was 100.06 and increased by 15.79, namely the Post-Test result of 115.85. While the Pre-Test in the control class amounted to 102.16 and increased by 6.19, namely the Post-Test result of 108.35. Then the t test results show that the sig. (2tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, then H_o is rejected then H_aadmitted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of applying the citizen project model on increasing the Civic Disposition of students XI-7 SMA Negeri 7 Binjai.

Learning evaluation of the study group of Packages C programme in Sragen Regency

This study aims to evaluate the learning of the Study Group of Packages C programme in Sragen Regency. This evaluation research uses the EPPKC model, which consists of Process and Product aspects. This research uses a mixed method, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The evaluation subjects in this study were 322 people, including the Study Group of Packages C programme organiser, tutors, and learning citizens in the Sragen Regency. The main field trial used a sample of 84 people, while the operational field trial used a sample of 238 people. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity techniques used source and method triangulation. The qualitative data analysis technique used in this research is an interactive analysis model, while the quantitative questionnaire results were analysed using the percentage analysis formula (percentile). The results showed that (1) the implementation of the Study Group of Packages C programme learning for the process component was included in the good category, (2) the Study Group of Packages C programme learning for the product component was included in the good category, and (3) the results of the Reviewer's Assessment of the EPPKC Instrument in the Study Group of Packages C Programme were included in the excellent category.

A systematic literature review of research examining the impact of citizenship education on active citizenship outcomes

AbstractThis article reports on a systematic review of the evidence concerning the impact of citizenship education, specifically focusing on the effect of different teaching activities on a range of active citizenship outcomes. It provides a narrative synthesis of 109 articles in peer reviewed journals, representing a wide range of methodological approaches. The review was undertaken for a teacher audience and the research team identified four themes with practical implications. First, we discuss the significance of school ethos and distinguish between distinctive aspects of ethos in the literature including relationships between students and teachers, values and behaviours. Second, we explore some of the characteristics of successful projects, including detailed consideration of the type of projects selected for action by young people, the role of teachers, and the duration of projects. This discussion suggests that, whilst full project cycles (involving students identifying and researching areas for action and devising, implementing and reviewing action plans) are valuable, there is also evidence to suggest that short, partial projects may be easier to implement and still secure comparable benefits. Third, we consider the evidence about whether and how citizenship education can have some compensatory effect, closing the civic gap between different groups of young people. In the fourth theme we consider the wide range of teaching strategies which have been demonstrated to have some success in practice.Context and implicationsRationale for this studyThis literature review was undertaken on behalf of a teacher's organisation to consider the evidence base for citizenship education.Why the new findings matterThe review demonstrates the breadth of evidence for the positive impact of citizenship education and highlights several avenues for further exploration relating to school ethos, action projects and reducing inequalities.Implications for researchers and educational institutionsImplications for practice relate to the importance of how students perceive the ethos of the school as a whole, as well as their experiences when learning citizenship. This has specific implications for school leaders whose support is required to nurture a positive school ethos (beyond the formal curriculum). Implications for citizenship teachers include making use of short, partial active citizenship projects more routinely; and adopting strategies for closing the civic gap. Researchers are urged to move beyond large‐scale surveys to explore longitudinal studies in specific contexts to track impacts over time for different students.

Benefits of E-Learning in Learning Civic Education

Research purposes this is for know utilization of e-learning in learning especially in Citizenship Education learning this study investigate utilization of e-learning in learning education citizenship. Method used is literature review systematics with instrument collection the data through observation, documentation, and literacy. Research result this showing that e-learning is very useful in current online learning this so that students and lecturers start used to with non- face- to-face learning advance or learning distance away and study case from implementation of e-learning in context education citizenship in various countries. Findings show that e- learning can increase accessibility, flexibility, and interactivity in learning citizenship. However, challenges like lack of internet accessibility and lack thereof involvement student need overcome for maximizing potential of e- learning in increase understanding and participation citizenship student.

IMPLEMENTATION OF STRENGTHENING CHARACTER EDUCATION AT MADRASAH DINIYAH AL-HIDAYAH KARANGNONGKO KLATEN, CENTRAL JAVA

The education developed in Indonesia aims to make learning citizens (students) have four main characters, namely religious humans, individual humans, social humans, and citizens. Currently, a very serious social problem occurring around us is the destruction of the order of moral values or noble character (moral decadence). Madrasah Diniyah Al-Hidayah is one of the three main components of education (tri-educational centers), namely the community, which operates in the religious sector and is organized by the community for the community (self-help community) which is concerned with the importance of character education. So this research aims to describe the implementation of Strengthening Character Education at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Hidayah Kanoman Karangnongko Klaten. The data collection techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of strengthening character education at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Hidayah includes learning planning which refers to the philosophical basis to the empirical basis. Then the implementation of the process is manifested through a class-based approach, a culture-based approach at Madrasah Diniyah, and a community-based approach. Lastly is habituation which includes aspects of worship, behavior (character), and example.

The Role of Citizenship Education in the Era of Globalization in Growing Students' Interest in Learning

This research was motivated by the less than optimal use of Edmodo learning media in citizenship lessons. Edmodo learning media is only used as a forum for giving assignments and searching for interactive videos. Interest is a state in a person, especially in students, with interest in students, students can do work happily and can get good results. With interest, especially in this era of globalization, someone can do work without coercion from anyone. The indicators of interest are feelings of joy, attention, knowledge, appreciation, interest, as well as desires and aspirations. With these interest indicators coming from students during lessons, for example students studying or studying something such as a subject, it can be said that the student has a high interest in learning in that learning or subject. This research aims to determine students' interest in learning citizenship education in the era of globalization and to determine the factors that influence students' interest in learning citizenship education. The research method used in this research is qualitative using systematic literature methods. From the results of research conducted by Penukis, it shows that students' interest in learning citizenship education is high.

The Role of Citizenship Education in Building Global Citizens

This study aim for explore role education citizenship in form attitude tolerance students at school basic, with focus on integration values tolerance in curriculum, the role of teachers in the learning process, and influencing factors effectiveness learning citizenship for tolerance. Research methods used is approach combination between quantitative and qualitative, with participant form student class school basics who follow the learning program citizenship. Research result show significant improvement in attitude tolerance student after following the program, especially because integration values tolerance in curriculum, roles active teacher in inclusive learning, and the environment supportive school. In conclusion, it's important education citizenship in promote attitude tolerance among student school base very important, and factors like design relevant curriculum, positive teacher role, and environment supportive school hold role key in create environment conducive learning for growth attitude tolerance student. Although thus, a challenge like limitations source power and resistance to values tolerance need overcome through proactive and solution-oriented strategies for increase effectiveness learning citizenship for tolerance.

Learning Citizenship Education in the Implementation of Character Education in the Scope of Primary Schools

This research is research that uses case studies by further investigating the causes of certain social aspects. The author also interviewed teachers and students at elementary schools in Buntu Pane sub-district to collect data that will be developed or proven to solve the problems in the research. The aim of this research is to look at the character education of the younger generation after the implementation of character education in citizenship education and to be able to instill good character for the life of society in the future. The current situation of the young generation in Indonesia is very worrying. Various incidents involving the younger generation are increasing, showing that there is moral damage currently carried out, shows that the younger generation no longer has good character. By because that education character very required. Wrong one way to make it happen this matter for future generations is through education citizenship. Learning education citizenship expected can renew character participant educate which the more down and align it with the values of Pancasila.

Implementation of National Defense in the Era of Technology in Learning Citizenship Education

Defending the State or what can be called national resilience is an important thing in state life. The attitude of defending the country is something that must be owned and realized by the people, especially the younger generation who will be the future leaders of the nation. Article 27 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution states that "every citizen has the right and obligation to participate in efforts to defend the State". This research uses the literature review method which is a systematic, explicit and reproducible method for evaluating and identifying research works. The aim of this research is that citizens, especially the younger generation, must have a responsibility to defend the country and prepare students to become good citizens. The results of the discussion show that to realize the 1945 Constitution concerning National Defense, the government provides citizenship education to help educate citizens, especially the nation's next generation. Through citizenship education, the descendants of the Indonesian people will be able to understand, analyze and answer the challenges faced in society, nation and state. As well as being sustainable and in accordance with the principles and ideals of the nation as intended in the preamble to the 1945 Constitution. It is hoped that awareness of defending the State or national security can be instilled in the minds of all Indonesian people, especially in this technological era. Because in the technological era there are several external threats that are sometimes overlooked.

Level of Intellectual Intelligence and Level of Moral Intelligence in Citizenship Learning at the Education Level

The educational process in school is a process that is not personal in nature but rather comprehensive in nature . Many experts state that to achieve success a person must have a high Intelligence Quotient (IQ), because intelligence is a provision of abilities that can facilitate the educational process and in time will produce maximum educational achievement. The aim of this article is to determine the level of intellectual intelligence and the level of moral intelligence in citizenship learning. And also this research aims to identify the efforts of citizenship learning teachers in developing students' moral intelligence and intellectual intelligence, because students not only need academic achievement, they also need moral and intellectual skills, especially when dealing with other people. This research is qualitative research by selecting qualitative procedures in the type of literature review or what is usually called literature study. This literature study refers to various sources related to the research discussed by the author. In this literature study, the author took various sources including books, articles and journals, scientific papers whose veracity can be fully justified. Thus, this research can be concluded that teachers in schools contribute very actively with their role, namely combining moral intelligence values that will be built in students with the learning process, reviewing material which is then linked to moral intelligence values, making plans and carrying out civic education. which is based on integrated thematics which still contains the values of moral intelligence and here the teacher will also become a moral and intellectual agent and become a role model for his students.
