Pengembangan Modul Tematik Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Sebagai Sumber Belajar IPS

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials based on local wisdom in elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to develop teaching materials in the form of thematic modules based on local wisdom about the uniqueness of the Gunungkidul Regency area that was suitable for fourth-grade elementary school students. This research used Research and Development (R&D). This research procedure used the ADDIE model, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The subjects of this study were experts, teachers, and four-grade elementary school students. This research used interview guidelines, expert validation questionnaires, and response questionnaires obtained from teachers and students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. This research used qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze the data. Expert assessment results showed that the modul is considered appropriate to be tested in which this decision is previously proven by the validation from the instructional media expert and thematic learning expert. The validation score from the instructional media expert is 3,00 (good category). The validation score for thematic learning expert is 3,36 (very good category). The average score of teachers’ questionnaire responses is 3,66 (very good category). The average score of the limited trial is 3,48 (very good category). The implication of this research is the need to disseminate the idea of using local wisdom for social studies learning resources.Keywords: teching materials, thematic modul, local wisdom

Module of Renewable Energy from the Earth's Gravity Based on Islam as Teaching Materials for Tadris IPA Study Program

Gravity is a renewable energy source that has not been widely studied, although many scientists have researched and made prototypes of tools that use it. This article describes the development of a module of renewable energy from the Earth's gravity based on Islam as teaching material for the Tadris Science study program. This research used Research and Development (RD) method by Borg and Gall but modified only until the product revision stage. The validation results are 88.3% in the very good category from the material expert, 82.6% in the very good category from the media expert, and 89% in the very good category from the learning expert. This study concludes that students can use the developed product.

Development of LKPD assisted by phet simulation on material form of energy and their changes to improve creative thinking ability of students at SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal

Student Worksheet (LKPD) is one way to support and activate learning activities so that students and teachers can interact more effectively, which can improve learning activities and student achievement. Because PhET media encourages creativity, it can help students' creative thinking skills. 4D technique, PhET Simulation helps the development of LKPD. In this study, data collection used observational methods, questionnaires, tests, and documentation methods. In this study, descriptive analysis and N-gain test were used for data analysis. Two material experts, learning experts, design experts, seventh grade science teachers, and 32 seventh grade students of SMP N 2 Sunggal became the sample. Based on the approval of LKPD, learning experts, and learning materials experts and design experts, class VII science teachers and 32 students of class VII SMP N 2 Sunggu. Based on expert validation, learning experts and LKPD material design experts, the participant's response was very good and the LKPD materials assisted by PhET Simulation could improve students' creative thinking skills, which can be seen from the N-gain calculation, which is 0.71 high categories.

Developing An Android App As A Maritime History Learning Media In Senior High School

History learning is an efforts for maintaining maritime culture as part of the nation's identity. However, the maritime paradigm is still not an important issue for most Indonesians. Therefore, the learning of maritime history needs to be improved in order to strengthen national integration. One of the obstacles to learning maritime history is the lack of learning media about maritime history. This study aims to develop a maritime history learning media of the Sultanate of Banten based on an android application. The research method used is research and development (RND) with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop and Dessiminate). The development of this media was carried out on the basis of the needs of history teachers and class X students in Banten for the learning media of maritime history of the Sultanate of Banten. The results of this study produced a learning media that has been created starting from the framework, its design, and the content of the material which is packaged into an Android Application product. The learning media for the Maritime History of the Sultanate of Banten based on the Android Application that was developed received a positive response from learning experts, linguists, media experts, teachers and students. The media trials for teachers and students show that the learning media developed is in accordance with the needs of students and teachers, providing student motivation in learning and making learning more enjoyable.
 

Developing Android-Based English Folktales Learning Materials to Develop Communication Skills of Primary School Students

Both teacher and students faced difficulties in teaching and learning English during remote learning and they need English learning materials which can be easily accessed during learning from home. This study aimed at developing android-based English Folktales learning materials to promote primary school students’ communication skills. This research applied Design and Development (D&D) method proposed by Richey and Klein (2007) which underwent four stages namely; 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, and 4) Evaluation. The research subjects were an English teacher and sixth graders of SDN 1 Banjar Jawa in the academic year of 2020/2021, Bali. The research instruments used questionnaires and interview guide. The results showed that digital folktales application as the product was developed in the form of android package kit (APK) file using Microsoft Office Power Point, iSpring, and APK Builder Pro. It provided 9 Indonesian folktales and 8 follow-up learning activities. The product was tested and evaluated by a technology expert and an EFL learning expert. digital folktales application has an excellent quality as an android-based English learning material. Thus, the digital folktales application was beneficial for students and teacher as English learning material to develop communication skills.

Development of HOTS Science Test: Ethno-Science Technology Engineering and mathematics (STEM) based on Javanese Gamelan

Ethno-STEM is appropriate to accommodate High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The study aimed to develop an ethno-STEM-based HOTS science test instrument for Javanese gamelan musical instruments for junior high school students. The development research referred to the Thiagarajan 4-D (Four-D) development model with define, design, develop, and disseminate. The sample in this study was 24 students of VIII grades. The learning expert validation sheets, practitioner validation sheets, student questionnaires, and student ability test results were used in this particular research. The data analysis of the science test instrument feasibility showed that: (1) both experts’ and practitioners’ judgment with overall score classified into a very good category and students’ response classified into good categories; and (2) the reliability test showed a correlation coefficient of 0.8 so that it was declared as reliable. In short, the instrument based on Javanese gamelan Ethno-STEM instruments on Vibration and Sound Waves was appropriate to improve and optimize students' HOTS.

Online Learning Experience During Covid-19 Pandemic: Higher Education Students Satisfaction and Expectation

The absence of instructors with online learning expertise, the information technology infrastructure, and the readiness of higher education institutions to support online learning were all obstacles to the deployment and success of online learning for students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research examined student satisfaction with online learning in higher education institutions and explored students' goals for raising the standard of online education. According to 1,845 respondents from 8 provinces, 19 cities, and 62 higher education institutions, students in Sumatera Island in Indonesia were generally satisfied with online learning despite a lack of infrastructure. This study revealed that the areas students wanted higher education institutions to concentrate on to improve the online learning system were the lecturer, the teaching materials, and the internet quota. A descriptive quantitative research design was used by delivering an online survey to students who participated in online learning during the 2020–2021 academic year. The primary beneficiaries of this research were anticipated to be those involved in creating online learning models in the future.

Developing Clinical Artificial Intelligence for Obstetric Ultrasound to Improve Access in Underserved Regions: Protocol for a Computer-Assisted Low-Cost Point-of-Care UltraSound (CALOPUS) Study.

BackgroundThe World Health Organization recommends a package of pregnancy care that includes obstetric ultrasound scans. There are significant barriers to universal access to antenatal ultrasound, particularly because of the cost and need for maintenance of ultrasound equipment and a lack of trained personnel. As low-cost, handheld ultrasound devices have become widely available, the current roadblock is the global shortage of health care providers trained in obstetric scanning.ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to improve pregnancy and risk assessment for women in underserved regions. Therefore, we are undertaking the Computer-Assisted Low-Cost Point-of-Care UltraSound (CALOPUS) project, bringing together experts in machine learning and clinical obstetric ultrasound.MethodsIn this prospective study conducted in two clinical centers (United Kingdom and India), participating pregnant women were scanned and full-length ultrasounds were performed. Each woman underwent 2 consecutive ultrasound scans. The first was a series of simple, standardized ultrasound sweeps (the CALOPUS protocol), immediately followed by a routine, full clinical ultrasound examination that served as the comparator. We describe the development of a simple-to-use clinical protocol designed for nonexpert users to assess fetal viability, detect the presence of multiple pregnancies, evaluate placental location, assess amniotic fluid volume, determine fetal presentation, and perform basic fetal biometry. The CALOPUS protocol was designed using the smallest number of steps to minimize redundant information, while maximizing diagnostic information. Here, we describe how ultrasound videos and annotations are captured for machine learning.ResultsOver 5571 scans have been acquired, from which 1,541,751 label annotations have been performed. An adapted protocol, including a low pelvic brim sweep and a well-filled maternal bladder, improved visualization of the cervix from 28% to 91% and classification of placental location from 82% to 94%. Excellent levels of intra- and interannotator agreement are achievable following training and standardization.ConclusionsThe CALOPUS study is a unique study that uses obstetric ultrasound videos and annotations from pregnancies dated from 11 weeks and followed up until birth using novel ultrasound and annotation protocols. The data from this study are being used to develop and test several different machine learning algorithms to address key clinical diagnostic questions pertaining to obstetric risk management. Griffin: Real-Time Network Intrusion Detection System via Ensemble of Autoencoder in SDN

Many efforts have been devoted to the development of efficient Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) using machine learning approaches in Software-defined Network (SDN). Unfortunately, existing solutions failed to detect real-time and zero-day attacks due to their limited throughput and prior knowledge-based detection. To this end, we propose Griffin, a NIDS that uses unsupervised machine learning expertise to detect both known and zero-day intrusion attacks in real-time with high accuracy. Specifically, Griffin uses an efficient feature extraction framework to capture the sequential features of the traffic packets. Then, it utilizes cluster analysis to reduce the feature scale to achieve low throughput. Moreover, an ensemble autoencoder is built automatically to further extract features with low complexity and high precision to train the model. We evaluate the accuracy, robustness, and complexity of the system using open datasets. The result shows that Griffin’s complexity is about 40% lower, and its accuracy is at most 19% higher than existing NIDS.Additionally, even in the situation with evasion, the Griffin has at most 9% decrease of AUC, which is a good performance compared with other solutions. Furthermore, this paper also utilizes the differential privacy framework during training autoencoders to protect datasets’ privacy which is inherent in machine learning approaches.

Effectiveness of E - Module Implementation Using STEM Project-Based Learning on Statistics Materials

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing e-modules based on STEM Project-based learning on statistical material. This research is qualitative and quantitative. The types of data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is generated from the input and suggestions of teachers (learning experts) and respondents. Quantitative data in the form of scores from the questionnaire and test results done by students. The instruments used in this study were e-modules based on STEM Project-Based Learning, tests, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Al Inayah. Based on the results of the study, it was found that: 1). Assessment of effectiveness based on the results of test scores obtained by students during limited field trials (small groups) showed that students' completeness scores were 80% reaching a score of 75 or above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). This percentage is located on a criterion scale of 80% < 𝑋̅ ≤ 100%, so the test results show that the e-module developed is in the "very effective" category. 2). Assessment of effectiveness based on the results of test scores obtained by students during large field trials (large groups) showed that the student's completeness score was 90% reaching a score of 75 or above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). The difference between this study and previous research is that this research focuses on the effectiveness of implementing the STEM Project Based Learning e-module on junior high school statistics which discusses data distribution, average value, median, mode, and distribution of data to conclude, make decisions, and make predictions. The e-module contains exercises that help students think creatively and implement material on real-life projects and their relationship to the STEM

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Development of mHealth Innovation Based on Data Mining Algorithms

Data mining algorithms combine expertise in machine algorithm learning, software modeling pattern recognition, statistical analysis principles, database construction, and artificial intelligence. With the rapid development of Internet technology and the common application of cell phones, mobile medical, a new medical method based on this technology, has been spawned, which greatly facilitates multiple aspects of medical services such as doctor diagnosis, patient treatment, disease care, and health management of critically ill patients and also alleviates the imbalance of medical resources. This paper firstly starts from the background of rapid development of information technology and mobile technology, combines the theoretical knowledge of data mining algorithm and mobile medical, as well as previous research reviews, and presents the main research content of this paper: analysis of factors influencing the development of mobile medical innovation based on data mining algorithm. Based on the K-means algorithm in the data mining algorithm and the Apriori algorithm in the association algorithm, this paper analyzes the current situation and problems of mobile medical development in China based on the algorithm model, analyzes the influencing factors of mobile medical innovation development in China based on the algorithm model, and summarizes and concludes the influencing factors of mobile medical innovation development and concludes that there are four categories of mHealth innovation development influencing factors: demand influence, policy orientation, technological innovation, and capital injection.

How to establish workplace learning in long-term care: results from a World Café dialogue

BackgroundAs long-term care continues to change, the traditional way of learning for work purposes is no longer sufficient. Long-term care organisations need to become ‘learning organisations’ and facilitate workplace learning for nursing staff teams. Therefore, insight is needed into what conditions are important for establishing workplace learning. The aim and objective of this article is to gain insight into necessary individual, team and organisational conditions for nursing staff to enhance workplace learning in long-term care settings.MethodsThis study is a qualitative explorative study. A World Café method was used to host group dialogues in which participants (n = 42) discussed certain questions. Group dialogues were held for the nursing home and community care setting separately due to organisational differences. Nursing staff, experts in workplace learning, educational staff, client representatives and experts in the field of work and organisation in healthcare organisations were invited to a Dutch long-term care organisation to discuss questions of interest. Data were analysed using theme-based content analysis.ResultsOverall themes concerning individual, team and organisational conditions for workplace learning included: facilitating characteristics (e.g. to be given time and room for [team] development); behavioural characteristics (e.g. an open attitude); context and culture (e.g. feeling safe); cooperation and communication (e.g. giving/receiving feedback); and knowledge and skills (e.g. acquiring knowledge from each other). No major differences were found between settings.ConclusionsBy assessing the themes at the individual, team and organisational level regarding nursing staff, the current workplace learning situation, and its possible improvements, can be detected.

Exploring The Knowledge And Experience Of Childhood Education Teachers On Steam Education In Indonesia

This study investigates early childhood teachers' knowledge and experiences with STEAM education after participating in STEAM learning training in professional education in Indonesia. The research participants were 51 teachers who had completed professional education and worked in raudhatul athfal, or Islamic kindergartens. Participants completed a test consisting of thirteen knowledge items in the form of closed questions and group interviews to describe teachers' experiences implementing STEAM education. The findings show that after attending training, teachers' knowledge of STEAM education increases, and teachers have experience in selecting the best method, affordable media, and collaborating with material experts in STEAM learning. Teachers also stated that they required the availability of learning media and learning collaborators. Despite having received professional education, the majority of early childhood education teachers in Indonesia require the availability of media and collaborators in STEAM education, according to the findings of this study. The implications and recommendations for the future are also discussed.

학사경고자를 위한 학업적 정서조절 개입모형 개발

Objectives The purpose of this study is to develop an academic emotion regulation intervention model for academic probation students. Methods The study was conducted according to the ADDIE model. First, in the draft model development stage, the process, details, and approach of academic emotion regulation intervention for academic probation students were derived through literature analysis, and each key element of the model was designed so that it could be systematically sequenced to develop a draft model. Second, in the implementation process, the developed preliminary model was applied to academic probation students of actual university sites to confirm the effectiveness of the model. The results of ANCOVA of 22 academic probation students(11 experiments, 11 controls) showed a significant effect on improving academic emotion regulation. In order to analyze the effect, participants' evaluations were analyzed and reflected in the intervention. Third, the evaluation process verified the usefulness and value of the preliminary model. An expert formation evaluation was conducted in a focus group interview composed of nine learning experts. The output from the implementation was reviewed and the value of the developed model was evaluated. Finally, the final model was developed by modifying and supplementing the model. Results The research results of this study are as follows. First, first, this model organically linked the academic warning overcoming process, academic emotion, and academic emotion regulation process. Second, this model suggests a systematic procedure for learning experts to effectively solve the academic emotional regulation problem of academic warnings. Third, this model presented a 4x3 matrix type of intervention method according to the approach for academic emotion regulation intervention. Fourth, in this model, the academic emotion regulation was cyclically performed in consideration of the academic emotions of the academic warning. Conclusion This study is meaningful in developing a model that can be used by actual learning experts to intervene in academic emotional regulation for academic warnings by fully reflecting the emotional characteristics of academic warnings and the experiences and needs of learning experts. Conclusions This study is significant in developing a model that can be used by actual learning experts to intervene in academic emotional regulation for academic probations by fully reflecting the emotional characteristics of academic probations and the experiences and needs of learning experts.

Audio-Visual-Based Learning Media through Canva Application for Eight Grade Students

Audio-visual media can facilitate the interaction between teachers and students during learning activities in the classroom. This study aims to develop of audio-visual-based learning media through Canva Application. This research method is research and development (R&D) which include research and information collection, planning, developing the product, and field testing. The subjects in this research are: material expert, media expert, language expert, learning expert and 36 students in 8th grade. Likert questioner is used in this study. After the product was developed, a feasibility assessment was carried out by experts to see the feasibility of media design, material completeness, language suitability, and feasibility in learning. The results findings were: first the experts’ assessments on the content of audio-visual-based learning media through the Canva Application, it obtained a score of 91.5%. Student responses obtained a score of 90.5%. It can be conclude that the Audio- visual-based learning media is effective because it can increase student learning motivation and can be used in learning.

Heutagogy-Based Didactic Design of Indonesian Language Online Learning

This study aims to describe the didactic design of Indonesian online learning based on a heutagogical approach. The research design used is a qualitative research design using the Design-Based Research (DBR) method. The research subjects were students, lecturers, and learning experts. The data collection methods used were observation and interview and data analysis techniques with four stages of analysis. The results showed that the didactic design consisted of the stages of preparation and implementation of learning. The learning preparation stage is carried out by providing scaffolding consisting of seven stages, namely (1) essential study analysis, (2) precondition, (3) orientation and discussion, (4) topic determination, (5) assessment discussion, (6) technical discussion, learning, and (7) reflection. Meanwhile, the stages of learning implementation consisted of four stages, namely (1) exploration, (2) connection and reflection, (3) material comprehension, and (4) final reflection of learning. The design provides support for the concepts of learning agents, efficacy and ability, metacognition and reflection, nonlinear learning, and learning how to learn.

HOTS-Based Worksheet in English Learning Activity for Eight Grade Students of Junior High School

Teachers should be able to develop learning activities that offer meaningful learning to students and improve students' English skills. Higher Order Thinking Skills, or HOTS, are the current solution to support the development of student's abilities. This study has the purpose to develop a students' worksheet in a form of a supplementary book by promoting HOTS for eighth-grade students to implement curriculum 2013. The book is for the eighth grade in the second semester of junior high school students. This research implements D&D (Design and Development research) methods with four steps which are Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. The researcher employed random sampling and participants in this study were eighth-grade Junior High School students. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted learning process observation, teacher interview, document analysis, and expert judgment. The result of the study found that the HOTS-Based Worksheet can use as a guide for leading and educating students when reading books. The use of this book makes learning more fun, interesting, and visually appealing for students. This worksheet can also help students improve their English language skills and critical thinking skills. The expert evaluation findings show that this product falls into the category of "very good" media. It is hoped that the product will be giving advantages for both students and teachers to improve the quality of English teaching and learning process.

Interactive Procedural Knowledge Learning Resources Development in The Context of Competency-Based Training Instructional Approach and Interactive Media Design Subjects for Information Technology Vocational High School

Many research has proven the good impact of digital learning resources on the knowledge acquisition by students. However, this research only focuses on factual and conceptual knowledge types. In contrast, the learning process in vocational high schools is dominated by procedural knowledge and practical activities. This research aims to produce a digital handbook appropriate in content, media, and utilization in the learning process of procedural knowledge at an information technology vocational high school. Digital handbook components were arranged based on the context of the Competency-Based Training (CBT) instructional approach and Interactive Media Design subjects. The digital handbook was developed under the Four-D model dan Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. The content, media, and practicality appraisal were carried out to prove that the digital handbook is appropriate as a digital learning resource. The material, media, and practicality appraisal involves subject matter experts, multimedia learning experts, and potential users. The content validity average score is 97.80%, the media validity score is 95.50%, and the practicality score is 90.00%. Based on these, the digital handbook is declared practical and worth using as an interactive digital learning resource for procedural knowledge, potentially attracting students to hands-on or practical activities and guiding students to learn independently.

Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) Model Learning for Overhead Pass Volleyball in Elementary School Students

This study aims to determine the expert validation of the research product in the form of a learning model for the basic technique of overhead pass volleyball based on Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) in elementary school students. The research method used is research and development from Borg & Gall. The research product was validated by physical education learning experts and volleyball game material experts. The results of the expert validation of Physical Education and Sports learning for the top pass, namely the feasibility indicator, were obtained at 77.08%. The results of the validity indicator were obtained at 81.25%. The results of the expert validation of the volleyball game indicators in the variation of the TGfU-based learning model for passing over are 81.25%. The results of the ease indicator in the variation of the upper passing learning model obtained 83.33%. The research product on learning to pass over volleyball was validated by motor learning experts; the results obtained were 83.33% of the upper passing safety percentage. The results of the learning model that can improve volleyball passing skills are 79.17%. Based on the validation results that have been obtained, this research implies that the research product in the form of a TGfU-based learning model is suitable for use in passing learning on volleyball for upper-grade elementary school students.

Mobile Learning-Based Basketball Theory and Practice at University

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of implementing mobile learning-based basketball learning in universities during the pandemic. In addition, this research will improve the quality and flexibility of students' distance learning during the pandemic. The method used in this research is experimental. The subject of this research is the education of students who are currently receiving training courses for basketball theory and practice as many as 250 students in five universities. The results of this study consist of three parts, namely identification of the learning environment, justification of the material by experts, and implementation. Based on data analysis, it shows that 100% of students require the development of this learning resource. Meanwhile, according to the evaluation results of basketball experts, sports got a percentage of 89.44% which means very good; according to learning technology experts, it obtained a percentage of 89.34% which means very good; learning experts got a percentage of 91.67% which means very good. Based on the Paired Samples Test, the sig value is known. (2-tailed) experimental group is 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the Independent Samples Test, it is known that Sig. (2-tailed) 0.030 < 0.05. So as a basis for decision making in the independent sample t test, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant (significant) difference in the final test results of basketball skills between the experimental group and the control group. The test results show that there is a significant effect of using mobile learning on student learning outcomes. Besides that, there are also significant differences between classes that use mobile learning for the better and those who do not use it.
