Struktur Komunitas dan Status Konservasi Ikan Berdasarkan Alat Tangkap Tradisional di Desa Simonis Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara

Fish diversity must be maintained because it has an ecological role, namely maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and can be used as an indicator of pollution. diversity is also important for the balance of aquatic ecosystems and some simonis villagers make it a community livelihood. Based on information from residents of Simonis Village, North Labuhan Batu Regency, it is recognized that the diversity found in the river is quite high. In addition, residents of simonis village, north labuhan batu district can also utilize river water in pulo biski as drinking water, washing clothes, bathing and tourism. This study aims to determine the community structure, ecological index and conservation status of fish obtained in Simonis Village based on IUCN data. This research is a survey with the determination of observation stations through purposive sampling method. Fish sampling was carried out using environmentally friendly fishing gear such as nets, shoots, fishing rods and tanggok or nets. The results of this study obtained approximately 22 species of fish and each fish species and morphological identification was carried out in order to know the scientific name of each type of fish. Index value and Diversity with moderate category. Diversity Index value with high category. Dominance Index value with no dominance criteria. It is concluded that the diversity of fish in Simonis Village, North Port Batu Regency.

Inovasi Pelayanan Publik Bupati Ngantor Di Desa (BUNG DESA) Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara

Difficult road access and long travel distances in several areas of Labuhanbatu Utara Regency have become the main obstacles for the community in obtaining public services. In response to this issue, the Head of the Labuhanbatu Utara District launched an integrated service innovation through the "Bupati Ngantor di Desa" program. (Bung Desa). This program focuses on providing public services in one location for one day to improve community accessibility to government services. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Bung Desa program as an innovation in improving the quality of public services in Labuhan Batu Utara Regency. This research uses a literature study method that includes searching for scientific references through Google Scholar and news sources related to the Bung Desa program. Relevant articles are classified based on publication year, keywords, and journal content, while news is categorized according to source, relevance, and publication time. The research results show that the Bung Desa program adopts the principles of New Public Management (NPM) and has had a positive impact. This innovation not only improves service accessibility even to remote villages but also encourages community participation in development. The success of this program is influenced by several factors, such as the awareness and capability of the apparatus, implementation regulations, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure. However, improving road infrastructure remains a priority to support smooth accessibility. In addition, the publication of schedules and activities of the Bung Desa program through official media, such as the local government website, needs to be improved to expand the reach of information to the public

Comparison of Clinical Symptoms and Laboratory Findings in Typhoid Fever and Dengue Fever Patients

Abstract: Background: Typhoid fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are two infections that often occur in tropical and subtropical areas, including Indonesia, with similar clinical symptoms but different pathogens. Accurate diagnosis is essential for proper management. Objective: This study aims to analyze the differences in clinical symptoms and laboratory findings in typhoid fever and dengue fever patients at Aek Kanopan Regional Hospital, North Labuhan Batu Regency, North Sumatra. Method: This research is an observational comparative study involving 100 patients diagnosed with typhoid fever and dengue fever during the period December 2023 to February 2024. Data on clinical symptoms and laboratory examination results were collected and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Results show that symptoms of stomach ache and headache are more common in typhoid fever patients, while rash and muscle pain are more prevalent in dengue fever patients. From a laboratory perspective, typhoid fever patients have an increased number of leukocytes (12,000 ± 3,500 cells/µL) compared to dengue fever (9,000 ± 2,000 cells/µL), while platelets in dengue fever patients are on average lower (45,000 ± 15,000 cells/µL) compared to typhoid fever (75,000 ± 20,000 cells/µL). Conclusion: This study confirms the importance of understanding the clinical and laboratory differences between typhoid fever and dengue fever to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and patient management. These results contribute to the development of better clinical guidelines for managing febrile infections in areas with high prevalence.

The Tahani Fuzzy Logic Method for Detecting Violence against Women in North Sumatera

Violence against women is a pervasive issue in society. Violence often encompasses various forms, such as physical, psychological, economic, and sexual violence. This research employs the Tahini fuzzy logic method to predict cases of violence against women. The results of the analysis in query fuzzification indicate that there are 16 districts experiencing high values in cases of violence against women, namely: Asahan, Batu Bara, Dairi, Deli Serdang, Karo, Binjai City, Gunung Sitoli City, Pematang Siantar City, Tanjung Balai City, Labuhan Batu Utara, Labuhan Batu, Langkat, Padang Lawas Utara, and Simalungun. This research also provides recommendations based on detection results, utilizing the fire strength value as the highest level ranking. Looking at the total 33 districts in North Sumatera, the highest level of violence against women is in Medan City, which occurred from July to December 2022, where all four criteria for typical cases of violence against women are significantly high.

Analysis of the spatial distribution patterns of education infrastructure development (A case study of 33 regencies/city in North Sumatra Province)

This study explores the spatial distribution pattern of educational infrastructure development across districts and cities in North Sumatra, identifying significant disparities between urban and rural areas. The study aims to: (1) determine the distribution of educational development across districts and cities, (2) analyze global spatial autocorrelation, and (3) identify priority locations for educational development policies in North Sumatra Province. The methodology includes quantile analysis, Moran’s Global Index, and Local Indicators of Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA) using GeoDa software to address spatial autocorrelation. The results indicate that there are nine areas with a low School Participation Rate Index (SPRI), eleven areas with a low School Facilities and Infrastructure Index (SFII), and eleven areas with a low Regional Education Index (REI). Spatial autocorrelation analysis reveals that SFII shows positive spatial autocorrelation, while SPRI and REI exhibit negative spatial autocorrelation, indicating a high level of inequality between regions. Labuhan Batu Selatan and Labuhan Batu are identified as priorities for the provincial government in overseeing educational development policies.

Pengaruh Daya Tarik Wisatawan dan Kualitas Pelayanan terhadap Kepuasan Pengunjung di Pemandian Gunung Gajah Lingga Tiga Labuhan Batu Selatan Sumatera Utara

This study is targeted at observing whether visitor satisfaction at Gunung Gajah Lingga Tiga Baths, South Labuhan Batu Regency is influenced by the quality of services provided and tourist attraction. Using a random sampling method, 99 visitors to Mount Gajah Lingga Tiga Baths in May 2024 were used as the study sample. This means that anyone who happens to meet the researcher can be included in the sample if it is determined that the individual is a suitable data source. Data processing was carried out using SPSS, while data analysis used multiple linear regression testing. The results of the study show that tourist attractions have a partial impact on visitor satisfaction with a t value above the t table (3.001 > 1.984) and a sign of 0.003 < 0.05. Service quality also has a significant positive impact on visitor satisfaction with a t count above the t table (8.299 > 1.984) and a sign of 0.000 < 0.05, but simultaneously tourist attraction and service quality have a significant positive impact on visitor satisfaction with a F count above the F table (164.318 > 3.09) and sign 0.000 < 0.05.

Teknik RAPD (Random Applied Polymorphic DNA) untuk Analisis Keanekaragaman Genetik pada Tanaman Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) di Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara

The ciplukan plant (Physalisangulata L.) can be used as traditional medicine, but so far people only know that this plant can only be used for the fruit. This research aims to determine the results of RAPD primary analysis which can produce polymorphic bands in Ciplukan Plants (Physalisangulata L.) in North Labuhan Batu Regency using different primers. This research is a quantitative research. Sampling was carried out in Bondar Village and Simpang Tiga Village, Kualuh Leidong District, North Labuhan Batu Regency. Then continued with molecular analysis at the Genetics Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, North Sumatra State Islamic University, Medan. The results of RAPD (Random Applied Polymorphism DNA) analysis of ciplukan plants in North Labuhan Batu district using six different primers, namely the length of the nucleotides in the amplified DNA fragments, are shown in primers OPA-2 & OPA-3 are 600bp-3000bp, while OPA-5, OPA-7, OPD -11, & OPD-13 are 500bp-3000bp with different nucleotide sequences. The differences in the length and number of nucleotide sequences in ciplukan plants are caused by the plants used coming from different locations and several factors such as the environment, population size, natural conditions, reproductive methods and natural selection.

Development of a digital app-based sambo sports book for students at high school level extracurricular activities

The survey in North Sumatra was conducted by researchers in the areas of Medan, Tanah Karo, Tebing Tinggi, Asahan, Serdang Bedagai, Deli Serdang, Labuhan Batu, Tanjung Balai, Humbahas, and Binjai, many coaches and athletes still do not have adequate guidance in Indonesian. Most of the information is still in foreign languages, making it difficult to understand Sambo's techniques and rules. This study aims to develop a digital application-based sambo sports book. Method, in this research, uses the research and development (R&D) method. The research subjects consisted of 10 athletes, coaches, and sambo sports enthusiasts for the main field trial and 20 athletes, coaches, and sambo sports enthusiasts for the operational field trial. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with instruments in the form of feasibility assessment sheets from sambo sports experts, linguists, media experts, and user subjects. Data analysis was carried out using a percentage quantitative descriptive technique. The results showed that this digital application-based sambo sports book was very good and feasible. This book has great potential to improve the understanding of sambo techniques and rules among athletes, coaches, and sambo enthusiasts by providing easy-to-understand guidelines in Indonesian and emphasizing the importance of technology-based approaches in Sambo.

Influence Price, Production Rubber and Income on The Level of Welfare of Rubber Farmers in The Village Ranto Jior District River Right Regency Port Rock South

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the impact of price, rubber production, and income on the welfare level of rubber farmers in Ranto Jior Village, Sungai Kana District, South Labuhan Batu Regency. Using a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis supported by SPSS version 23, data were collected through questionnaires. The study's population was the residents of Ranto Jior Village, with a sample size of 100 people selected using probability sampling based on the Lemeshow formula. The findings reveal that the welfare of rubber farmers is significantly and positively influenced by rubber prices, rubber production, and income. All three factors—price, rubber production, and income—together significantly influence the welfare of rubber farmers in Ranto Jior Village. The determination test shows that these factors account for 92.8% of the variance in welfare, indicating a very strong influence.

Strengthening Public Communication in Delivering Premium Services to the Community of North Labuhan Batu District

<em>This dissertation aims to study the public communication strategies used by the North Labuhanbatu Regency government to provide the best service to the community. This shows that improving communication infrastructure and human resources is needed to improve public service performance and community satisfaction. This research focuses on media observations in Aek Kanopan, North Labuhanbatu Regency. Primary data was collected from documents, books and journals, as well as secondary data from discussions, interviews and focus group observations. Interactive analysis and triangulation ensure fairness, reliability, and appropriateness of the method. Analysis of excellent service in North Labuhanbatu Regency shows that communication is very important to strengthen government and community relations. To achieve community satisfaction, things like accessibility, responsiveness, and transparency must be used. Better public communication can help the North Labuhanbatu Regency government increase trust, community participation, crisis management, public education, and strengthen shared values. This can all be achieved through effective two-way interaction and communication. The government's digital communication model combines digital technology, two-way communication, transparency, and excellent service. The public's response to efforts to strengthen government communications shows that the public is actively involved in government efforts and provides criticism and appreciation. Improving the quality and accessibility of public services through digitalization and innovation in the civil registration, education, health and social systems is part of the communication dynamics in North Labuhanbatu Regency. One of the efforts made is to increase service efficiency through the use of information technology, improve two-way communication for better response, and increase staff capacity to ensure effective and efficient services.</em>

Evaluasi Perencanaan Penanganan Existing Jalan yang Tidak Stabil pada Ruas Jalan Gunting Saga – Teluk Binjai Kab. Labuhan Batu Utara

The Gunting Saga - Teluk Binjai Road section (North Labuhan Batu Regency) is a Collector Road or Regency Road that connects the city of Aek Kanopan and the city of Kualuh Hilir. On this section of road, several large and heavy vehicles often pass with geometric conditions that are not too wide and at some points the ground conditions are less stable, which results in poor traffic flow and also damage to parts of the road. The impact of the lack of width and damage to the existing condition of the Gunting Saga - Teluk Binjai section is: hampering economic activity in the area. The aim of the study is to plan flexible pavement and widening on road shoulders and also plan flexible pavement on additional or overlay pavement.To support this study, several data are needed, such as: traffic volume data, rainfall data, CBR data, Benkelman beam data and also unit price analysis data using secondary data obtained from the North Sumatra Province National Road Planning and Supervision Working Unit. From the results of the data obtained, it is then processed and analyzed in the calculation of flexible pavement for new roads and additional pavement (overlays) using Bina Marga standards for flexible pavement analysis using Instructions for Planning the Thickness of Flexible Pavement for Highways Using the Component Analysis Method (SKBI-2.3.26.1987), Meanwhile, for additional pavement analysis (overlay), the Hot Rolled Overlay Design For Indonesia method is used.From the calculation results, it is obtained that the thickness of the flexible pavement layer for the new road and also the thickness of the additional pavement layer (overlay) are obtained with various values, namely: segment 1 has a layer value of D1 = 5,4 cm, D2 = 25 cm, D3 = 35 cm as well as for each segment so on up to four segments.

Early Detection of Subclinical Rheumatic Heart Disease Through Echocardiographic Screening: A Study in North Sumatra, Indonesia

Background: Given the urgent need to address the significant morbidity and mortality associated with Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) in Indonesia, there is a growing interest in exploring cost-effective screening approaches, such as handheld echocardiography. Objective: The purpose of this study was to ascertain the prevalence of RHD in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Material and Methods: This descriptive observational study was conducted within the population of North Sumatra from 2022 to 2023. Junior high school students aged 12 to 15 years were included from randomly selected schools in Langkat, Tebing Tinggi, and Labuhan Batu. Data collection encompassed various parameters, including social demographic information, parental characteristics, environmental factors, household details, anthropometric measurements, physical assessments, auscultation findings, and echocardiographic data. The data were analyzed descriptively. Result: In our study, a total of 692 children were examined, with an average age of 12.9 years and a standard deviation of 1.1 years, among whom 42.5% were male. Utilizing echocardiographic evaluations, we identified RHD in four children, yielding a prevalence rate of 0.6%. Further examination of these cases revealed that the majority, accounting for three individuals (75%), exhibited borderline RHD, while one child (25%) presented with definite RHD. Conclusion: In our study population, the prevalence of RHD was 0.6%. A broader echocardiographic screening program is necessary to determine the overall prevalence of RHD, assess the disease burden, and identify individuals earlier to prevent adverse outcomes. THE IMPORTANCE OF A PARTICIPATORY APPROACH IN VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT IN THE VILLAGE OF TANJUNG MEDAN LABUHAN BATU SELATAN

The participatory approach in village development prioritizes the active role of the community as the main actors, with full involvement in every stage of development, from planning to evaluation. This concept is based on the capabilities and self-reliance of the community, as well as continuous learning built from their experiences, ensuring that village development aligns more closely with the community's capabilities and progress. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to understand community participation in Tanjung Medan Village, South Labuhan Batu Regency. Data were collected through direct observation, surveys, and interviews with the village head and the community. The results show that although the community participates in gotong royong activities and program evaluations, there is dissatisfaction with the village government's transparency, particularly regarding budget reporting. Improvements in the evaluation and monitoring phases are needed to enhance the effectiveness of the participatory approach

The purpose of this study is to describe that parents prioritize their children's education and continue the tradition of rocking their children when they have grown up and the parents have enough finances, which is characteristic of the Ma ethnic group. Lai with the value of money in the lives of Malays, they can ensure the education of children and carry out the swinging process at any time, while maintaining the cultural value of carrying out the traditions tradition among the Malay community, especially in Sukarame village, Kualuh Hulu district, Labuhan Batu North Regent. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using descriptive analysis. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviewing, and note-taking. During the procession, the Malay tradition of swinging children is carried out in a series of events. The sequence begins with Barzanji, where a child swings on a rope, along with Marhaban, distributes flour, distributes potpourri flowers to those who have come to attend the event and ends with a prayer.

This research aims to determine the influence of land area, capital and labor on the income of pineapple farmers in Central Panai District, Labuhan Batu Regency. Sample used was 95 respondents. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is a multiple linear regression model and hypothesis testing using the t test, F test and coefficient of determination. Previously the data had been tested using validity tests, reliability tests and classical assumption tests. Data processing uses the SPSS 16.0 for Windows program. The results show that land area has a significant effect on the income of pineapple farmers in Panai Tengah District, Labuhanbatu Regency, Capital has a significant effect on the income of pineapple farmers in Panai Tengah District, Labuhanbatu Regency, Labor has a significant effect on the income of pineapple farmers in Panai Tengah District, Labuhanbatu Regency, Luas Land, Capital and Labor have a significant influence on the income of pineapple farmers in Panai Tengah District, Labuhanbatu Regency.

Factors influencing innovative work behavior among local government employees in Labuan Batu

Government employees are vital for delivering services to people, particularly within the Labuhan Batu Local Government. There's a strong need for workers who display innovative behavior to foster public trust. Stakeholders must be deeply committed to improving the quality of employees' work. This study aims to understand how innovative work behavior is affected by factors like professional identity, leadership humility, work ethic, strategies for managing human resources, and job satisfaction. Research on how job satisfaction influences innovative work behavior, considering professional identity, leadership humility, work ethic, and human resource strategies, is scarce. The main purpose of this research is to see how job satisfaction can boost innovative work behavior among employees in the Labuhan Batu Local Government. It uses a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze the data. Data was collected through surveys from 372 permanent staff members in Labuhan Batu. Findings show that job satisfaction is crucial, both directly and indirectly, in linking leadership humility, work ethic, and human resources strategies with innovative work behavior. However, professional identity doesn't significantly affect job satisfaction or innovative work behavior. The study's limitation is its narrow focus on government employees. Future studies should broaden the participant pool and include private sector workers to better understand the impact of professional identity on job satisfaction and innovation at work.
