Introduction of Forage Feed Processing Technology for Cows in the Damang Saiyo Farmer Group

The Damang Saiyo Farmer Group is one of the farmer groups located in Batu Balang Village, Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This group is quite active, especially in the agricultural sector. Most of the group members are active in agriculture, such as planting rice and gardening. However, there are also group members who raise livestock such as cows. Raising cattle for group members is a side activity and as family savings. Supporting natural resources such as empty land, fertile soil and easy access to green fodder in the form of grass and agricultural waste are supporting factors for raising cattle. The problems found in the Damang Saiyo Farmer Group are the lack of community knowledge about green fodder and never having processed green fodder from agricultural waste such as straw. So far, straw has not been optimally utilized as cattle feed.

Upaya Pencegahan Hipertensi Melalui Program ‘MARI GASI’ di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pangkalan

Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the significant health problems in the world, including in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension in Lima Puluh Kota Regency in 2022 reached 15% or 10,688 out of 70,250 people who took blood pressure measurements. However, only 627 people (11.8%) took blood pressure measurements and received hypertension services according to standards. Therefore, it is necessary to increase public knowledge about hypertension. This service activity was carried out in September 2023 through the emo-demo method, which expects health promotion efforts through an emotional approach. The service activities were carried out on 37 community members, and it was found that there was an increase in the average score of community knowledge from 51.56 to 90.63. An increase can follow this increase in community knowledge, attitudes, and actions toward efforts to prevent and control hypertension, including the prevention of complications of hypertension in the community.

Balimau Tradition in the Wedding Procession in Nagari Koto Alam, Pangkalan Koto Baru District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province

This study examines the "Balimau Tradition in the Wedding Procession in Koto Alam Village, Pangkalan Koto Baru District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province". The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the balimau tradition in the wedding procession in Koto Alam Village and to describe the meaning of the balimau tradition. The theory used in this study is the symbolic interpretative theory of Clifford Geertz. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection in this study was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique in this study uses steps including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study indicate that the balimau tradition is a bathing tradition carried out by the bride and groom after carrying out the marriage contract, this tradition is carried out during the village barolek event. The implementation of the balimau tradition is to prepare the tools and materials for balimau, the bride and groom are paraded to the river, read prayers, shave the bride's hair, rub the boreh kasai on the bride and groom, rub the bungo kiambai, the bride and groom dive, wash the bride and groom's hair, bathe, use pamanih oil, distribute kotan kuniang, and wash away the remaining materials from the balimau tradition. The meaning contained in the balimau tradition is to cleanse and purify the bride and groom. The tools and materials used in the balimau tradition have meanings that are intended for the good of the bride and groom.

Community Empowerment Through Super Ganepo Umkm in Jorong Padang Kandi, Nagari VII Koto Talago, Guguak District, Lima Puluh District

This research discusses "Community Empowerment through Super Ganepo UMKM in Jorong Padang Kandi, Nagari VII Koto Talago, Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency". The aim of this research is to describe the role of Super Ganepo UMKM in the community economy and the forms of community empowerment that occur in Jorong Padang Kandi, Nagari VII Koto Talago, Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The theory used in this research is Chambers' empowerment theory. The method used is a qualitative method, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this research show that it started with the success of one of the people who tried to create a food called Ganepo. This success was well received by the community, whose presence is currently increasing through empowerment. Empowerment occurs not only from community to community but there is a role for the government in it, such as facilitating the business to become a Super Ganepo UMKM as well as providing training and providing tools to improve Super Ganepo UMKM. Currently, the existence of Super Ganepo UMKM has a very important role in the social and economic aspects of the community in Jorong Padang Kandi in facilitating interaction in the empowerment process, equality for each member of the group, reducing unemployment rates, providing employment opportunities and jobs in increasing community welfare and improving quality. society's life in a better direction.

The Relationship of Toothbrushing Knowledge and Gingival Tissue Condition in Class VII and VIII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh Limapuluh Kota District

A person's low knowledge about health can be a predisposing factor for the emergence of a disease. Knowledge is a cognitive domain that influences a person's health attitudes and behavior, especially actions to prevent and cure disease. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between toothbrushing knowledge and the condition of gingival tissue in students of class VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The research method used is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. The population of this research is students of class VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh District. The sampling technique used Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique and inclusion criteria technique so that the sample was 150 people. The research was carried out by filling out a knowledge questionnaire and examining the gingival index. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis. The research results showed that students' toothbrushing knowledge had good criteria at 29.3%, adequate criteria at 49.3% and inadequate criteria at 21.3%. The condition of the gingival tissue is healthy criteria 8%, mild inflammation 77.3%, moderate inflammation 13.3% and severe inflammation 1.3%. The Chi-square test results obtained a p-value of 0.027 < 0.05. The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of brushing teeth and the condition of gingival tissue in junior high school students. It is recommended for students to increase their knowledge about brushing their teeth by looking for more sources of information about dental and oral health, brushing their teeth twice a day in the morning after breakfast and at night before going to bed and regularly checking with dental and oral health services once every 6 months.

Pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (UMK) oleh Dinas Perdagangan Koperasi dan UMKM Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kinerja UMK

This research is motivated by the author's observations which show that there are still many MSEs who face various problems in running their businesses. This research aims to find out how empowerment is carried out by the Limapuluh Kota Regency Cooperative Trade and MSME Service and to find out the impact of this empowerment on the performance of MSEs that have taken part in the empowerment provided. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. And there were 7 informants in this study. The results of this research show that the empowerment provided by the Limapuluh Kota Regency Cooperative Trade and MSME Service is in the form of training, including product improvement training, financial managerial training, marketing digitalization training, technical guidance on business licensing, entrepreneurship training and MSE literacy to obtain certification. halal. And the empowerment provided influences the performance of MSEs which results in an increase in sales turnover from the previous year.

Studi Fisika Tanah pada Budi Daya Tembakau (Nicotiana tabacum L) di Berbagai Kemiringan Lahan

The percentage of slope classes on a land has an impact on changes in soil physics. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the physical properties of soil planted with tobacco on various slopes in Kenagarian Situjuah Batua, Situjuah Limo Nagari District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The method used in this study was a survey; samples were taken purposively based on slope classes at slopes 8-15%, 15–25%, and 25–45% at depths of 0–20 cm and 20–40 cm. From each slope 3 repetitions were taken. The results showed that there were changes in soil physics properties in each slope class with the dominant texture of sandy clay loam. Organic matter was classified as high to low (18.77–3.63%), low soil buld density (0.66–0.34 g/cm3), and total pore space was classified as high (75.27–86.87%). The permeability of the soil was classified as very fast to somewhat slow (34.88–0.78 cm/h), and the aggregate stability index was somewhat steady to less steady (60.89–45.98%). It is recommended that tobacco farmers to make terrracing and cut the length of the slope so that it does not lose organic matter. Keywords: soil physical properties, slope level, tobacco plantation

Enhancing Women's Capacity in Funeral Management: A Community Service Study in Lima Puluh Kota Regency

This community service aims to enhance the capacity of women in managing funeral rites in Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra. Through a series of training sessions conducted in six locations, this program is designed to empower women to be more confident and skilled in performing funeral management tasks according to Islamic law. The methods include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, enabling participants to understand and practically apply the necessary skills. The results of the community service show a significant improvement in the participants' technical skills and confidence, as well as a positive change in women's active participation in religious activities within the community. Additionally, this training successfully shifted societal perceptions of women's roles, recognizing them as capable and important in funeral management. In conclusion, this program not only contributes to women's empowerment but also to the development of a more inclusive and empowered community. The program has the potential to be replicated in other regions with similar cultural contexts, thereby broadening its impact on women's empowerment and community capacity building.

Implementation Of Naïve Bayes Classifier And Support Vector Machine For Stunting Classification

Stunting is a condition when a child's physical growth and development are stunted or delayed due to a lack of adequate nutritional intake over a long period of time, especially during the early years of life. Indonesia still has a stunting prevalence rate above the WHO standard, which is at 21.6%. 2020 UN statistics recorded more than 149 million (22%) toddlers worldwide were stunted, of which 6.3 million were early childhood or stunted toddlers were Indonesian toddlers. This study aims to create a classification model using Data Mining Algorithms NBC and SVM to analyze and describe the class of a total of 2018 toddler nutritional status data in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The results of this study are expected to be an evaluation of whether the stunting prevention program implemented has been successful, and can be the basis for creating the next program.

This study aims to describe: (1) the structure of the Talempong Batu legend folklore in Kenagarian talang Anau, Gunuang Omeh District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, (2) the social function of the Talempong Batu legend folklore in Kenagarian Talang Anau, Gunuang Omeh District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This type of research is literary research in the field of oral literature using descriptive methods. The data of this research is the folklore of the legend of Talepong Batu in Kenagarian Talang Anau, Gunuang Omeh District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The collected data is then analyzed in several stages (1) data description stage (2) data classification stage or data analysis stage (3) discussion or conclusion stage of the classification or data analysis results (4) reporting stage. The results of this study are (1) the structure of the Talempong Batu legend folklore in Kenagarian Talang Anau Kecamtan Gunuang Omeh Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota consists of; (a) the language style in the folk tale of the Talempong Batu legend uses the Minangkabau language in Kenagarian Talang Anau, Gunuang Omeh District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, (b) characters and characterizations in the folk tale of the Talempong Batu legend there are two characters, Samsudin and Mother, (c) the setting in the story includes place setting, time setting, and social setting, (d) the plot or story is a conventional plot using three stages, namely, the initial stage, the middle stage, and the final stage, (e) theme (f) mandate.

Utilization of WebGIS for Visualization of the Distribution of Tourist Destination Religious Objects in Nagari Batuhampar of Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatera Province

Nagari Batuhampar has several tourist attractions planned as object tourist destinations in the strategic plan. However, publication and presentation on social media are less effective in promoting the unique characteristics of tourist attractions. This research aims to identify the distribution of tourist destination objects in Nagari Batuhampar, followed by comprehensive information. The type of research used is descriptive survey research with the waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system analysis, system implementation, system testing, system evaluation, operation, and maintenance. Data collecting techniques include observation using GPS and documentation, interviews to obtain information for web development, and questionnaires. Furthermore, the built-in data application QGIS 3.32.3” Lima” is open source. WebGIS, built using the Database Management System (DBMS) approach, is designed as software to manage big data. Big data is meant to be a collection of lots of data tailored to the project being carried out, such as mapping the distribution of public facilities and village potential. In this research, DBMS focuses on spatial data and religious and supporting tourism attributes. This is focused on data on religious and supporting tourism attributes. The result found that historical religious tourist attractions dominated the distribution of attractions in Nagari Batuhampar. The WebGIS of Tourist Destination Object was constructed using a waterfall method that was effectively created. This development was conducted through system evaluation tests, resulting in most respondents being satisfied with the process's performance.

Struktur dan Fungsi Pantun dalam Teks Cerita Santan Batapih dalam Seni Pertunjukan Tradisional Basijobang di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota

The purpose of this research is to identify the structure and function of pantun in the Santan Batapih story text in the traditional Basijobang performing arts in Limapuluh Kota Regency. This research is literary research that uses descriptive methods. Data collection uses interview techniques supported by note-taking and recording, as well as through field observation methods. The data source in this research is the pantun in the story text Santan Batapih in the traditional Basijobang performing arts in Limapuluh Kota Regency. The data in the research was analyzed using four stages, namely: (1) transcribing the data, (2) classifying, (3) analyzing and interpreting the data, and (4) concluding the results of the research and writing research results reports. The results obtained from this research are: (1) the structure of the pantun in the text of the Santan Batapih story in the Basijobang Performance consists of stanzas, lines, rhymes, endings, and content. (2) the function of pantun in the story text of Santan Batapih in the Basijobang Performance which consists of opening the story, changing the story, content of the story, aesthetics and closing the story.

Standardization Of Traditional Pongek Situjuah Food Recipes

The background to this research is that there is no standard pongek situjuah recipe in Nagari Situjuah Gadang because there are still differences in ingredients, spices, measurements used and processing processes. This research aims to standardize the pongek situjuah recipe in Nagari Situjuah Gadang, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This type of research uses a mixed method between quantitative and qualitative descriptive. Qualitative data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation and quantitative data collection techniques are organoleptic test questionnaire format. Qualitative data analysis techniques use three activity streams, namely: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and quantitative data analysis techniques using the formula (Mx=∑ x / N), data validity, testing the validity of qualitative data, namely: extended participation, diligent observation, and triangulation. Based on the research results, 3 pongek situjuah recipes were obtained. The results of the organoleptic test obtained the highest score by Mrs. Damiar from Jorong Padang Jariang with an average score of 27.8. The standardization of the Pongek Situjuah recipe is carried out by organoleptic tests to obtain good quality Pongek Situjuah including: Pongek Situjuah shape (neat and half-crescent shape with a thickness of 3 cm), color of Pongek Situjuah (dark yellow), aroma of Pongek Situjuah (fragrant blend of spices), texture. pongek situjuah (soft and thick sauce) and pongek situjuah (savory) taste.

Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi dan Ketidakpastian Lingkungan terhadap Penerapan Praktik Akuntansi Manajemen pada Usaha Kecil dan Menengah

This paper aims to determine the influence of organizational culture and environmental uncertainty on the implementation of management accounting practices in SMEs in Limapuluh Kota Regency. Objective data was taken from a questionnaire with a sample of 100 companies. The statistical test tool used is SPSS version 24. Findings from data analysis show that an important factor influencing the level of implementation of management accounting practices in SMEs is organizational culture. Organizations that have good commitment and vision in achieving their goals will be more flexible in accepting reforms, including in implementing management accounting practices. Apart from that, the environmental uncertainty felt by companies also encourages companies to use various kinds of management accounting practices in order to maintain and sustain their business. Previous research has studied various contingent factors that influence the implementation of PAM in SMEs, but there is still little previous research that studies the influence of culture in implementing corporate PAM, especially in small and medium enterprises.

The potential of Indonesian simmental cattle in Nagari Balai Panjang, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, Sumatera Barat Province, Indonesia

This study aimed to determine the output value of Indonesian Simmental cattle in Nagari Balai Panjang, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh District. This study used 220 farmers as respondents, who owned 379 Indonesian Simmental cattle. This study used a survey method with a snowball sampling technique. The variables observed in this study included the number of adult, young, and calf Indonesian Simmental cattle, the number of births and deaths of Indonesian Simmental cattle within the last year, and the identity of the breeder. The data was taken with the help of a questionnaire. Then the data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the value of Indonesian Simmental cattle’s natural increase (NI) was 32.19%. The net replacement rate (NRR) of female Indonesian Simmental cattle is 332.52%. The estimated output value of Indonesian Simmental cattle is 32.19% or 122 heads, with details of rejected males at 0%, rejected females at 6.95%, the remaining male replacements at 9.08%, and the remaining female replacements at 16.16%. The output value in Nagari Balai Panjang was the same as the NI value, which means there was a population balance. Nagari Balai Panjang could potentially become a source area for Indonesian Simmental cattle.

Proximate Analysis of Dadih from Batu Payung Village, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia

Dadih is a traditional food made from fermented buffalo milk from West Sumatera, Indonesia, for 24-48 hours at room temperature. Dadih is one of the processed dairy products which is efficacious as a functional food. Dadih is a functional food that is a probiotic that contains lactic acid bacteria (LAB). This study aimed to determine the proximate properties of Dadih from Batu Payung Village, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh Kota Regency West Sumatera, Indonesia. The research method was a descriptive method and analysis in the laboratory. The measured variables were protein content, fat content, water content, and pH. The sample used was taken from Batu Payung Village, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia because it is one of the buffalo milk producing centers in Limapuluh Kota Regency, which is then processed into Dadih. The results of this study indicate that Dadih from Batu Payung Village, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatera has protein content ranging from 6.83%-7.90%, 5.11%-5.92% fat, 74.18%-75.71% moisture content, and pH 5.0-5.3. The conclusion is that Dadih has good nutritional quality.

Factors Affecting the Participation Rate of Women in the Labor Force in Lima Puluh Kota Regency Using Probit Regression Analysis

Labor currently plays a very important role in a country's economy. In the labour sector, women still experience discrimination, which causes the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of women to remain low compared to men. The LFPR of men in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota is higher than the LFPR of women. In 2022, the female LFPR was 63.75%, meaning that of the total labour force, around 63.75% of them were working or looking for work. This study aims to determine the factors that influence women's participation in the labour force in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. This research is applied using the probit regression analysis method. The data used is secondary data, which is microdata from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS). Based on the results of the analysis, the factors that influence the level of women's participation in the labour force in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota in 2022 are education level, age, job training status, and status as head of household.

Successful shoot tip grafting of cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) due to the application of plant growth regulators on various concentrations

Cacao plays an important role in the Indonesia economy. Therefore, its production and area expansion have to increase to achieve maximum cacao productivity by the quality and superior cacao clones. Shoot tip grafting is one of the propagation methods to obtain superior cacao plants by applying Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs). Research on the effect of several PGRs with various concentrations on cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) shoot tip grafting was conducted at the Integrated Innovation Farmer Group, Belubus, Sungai Talang Village, Guguak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra from February until June 2022. This study aimed to determine the interaction between PGR type and concentration on the grafting success and growth of cacao shoot tip grafted seedling. The research was designed by a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The first factor was the type of PGR, i.e., synthetic PGR (BAP), young corn seed extract, shallot extract, and young coconut water. The second factor was the concentration of PGR, i.e., 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The results showed an interaction between PGRs with some concentrations on the number of shoots, shoot length, and leaf length on the grafted cacao seedling. The natural PGR from young coconut water at a concentration of 75% gave the best effect on the number of shoots (3.33 shoots) and shoot length (24.50 cm) of cacao seedling.

Value Chain Analysis for Chicken Layer Industry on Districts in Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatera

Eggs and chicken meat are poultry products, and their demand continuously increases yearly. Limapuluh Kota Regency is the home of the largest chicken layer industry in West Sumatra. This district's total population of chickens reaches as much as 10 million. This industry has made a significant contribution to the district’s economy. In contrast, the number of farmers decreased significantly due to the low profit margin, while the egg market price was comparatively high. Our study aimed to investigate the value chain in the poultry product industry, especially in West Sumatra, and how the added value is shared among the actors. We want to determine the distribution channels, the actors, value creation, and value distribution along the supply chain. We analyze the value chain of the chicken layer industry, identify activities performed by each actor, and value creation in each stage. Value added was analyzed using a value-added Hayami method, defining the value added as the difference between the output and input values. The results showed that the structure of the industry value chain of chicken layer farms in Limapuluh Kota Regency consists of poultry shops (PS), breeders, traders, wholesalers, small traders, and consumers. Comparative analysis showed that wholesalers gain the most significant value-added distribution at 29.11 %, the second the breeder at 29.05 %, then small traders at 20.07 %, and then poultry shops at 14.17 %, and the last is traders at 7.60 %.
