KONSTRUKSI POSESIF BAHASA INDONESIA DALAM RUBRIK SURAT PEMBACA

This study aims to describe characteristics of the relationship between the possessor and the possessed in Indonesian possessive constructions in letters to the editor. Theresearch data were sentences with possessive constructions collected from letters to theeditor in Kedaulatan Rakyat and Kompas daily newspapers in 2015. The data were collectedby reading and noting and were analyzed by means of the distributional method todetermine the possessive constructions and the correspondence method to determinethe relationships between the possessor and the possessed. The findings are as follows.First, the possessive constructions in letters to the editor are in the form of noun phraseswith two types of constructions, namely (1) Common Noun + Personal Pronoun, and (2)Common Noun + Proper Noun. Second, there are two types of relationships betweenthe possessor and the possessed in the possessive constructions, namely the kinshipand ownership relationships. The relationships can be categorized into two possessiverelationships, namely the lexical/inherent possessive relationship (kinship relationship)and the extrinsic possessive relationship (ownership relationship).

LIPUTAN PERPUSTAKAAN DALAM SURAT KABAR DI INDONESIA (BERITA TENTANG PERPUSTAKAAN DI SURAT KABAR REPUBLIKA, KOMPAS, KEDAULATAN RAKYAT, DAN BERNAS BULAN NOPEMBER 2006 — APRIL 2007)

Library as one of information systems has vital role in collecting, arranging, and spreading information to public who need it. Library has strategic position in learning public because its role is to collect, arrange, and prepare knowledge recording to read and study. There haven't been many user come and utilize the facilities in library. One of factors is lack of promotion or socialization to public about library through mass media, in
 this case coverage in newspaper.
 
 To get general illustration about tendency of coverage with theme library and information literacy in Republika, Kompas, Kedaulatan Rakyat, and Bernas November 2006-April 2007 edition. This research has purpose to get general illustration about the tendency of coverage of library theme in Republika, Kompas, Kedaulatan Rakyat, and Bernas, November 2006 — April 2007.Research method in this research is descriptive qualitative method which coverage content of library in the four newspaper Republika, Kompas, Kedaulatan Rakyat, and Bernas. Data from research will be process and analyzed by category analysis and showed descriptively.Research data in the four newspaper, Republika, Kompas, Kedaulatan Rakyat, and Bernas showed that the amount of library coverage is still low. Based of more detailed category, those are (1) library management, (2) library facilities and medium, (3) library technology, (4) librarians, (5) non-substantive, (6) information literacy, the most amount of coverage is on Kedaulatan Rakyat. Coverage theme that often covered the four newspaper is just on coverage category which is not connected directly with library, that is non-subtantive coverage. In this case, it is connected with book information, consist of resensi or book promotin. Meanwhile, for information literacy coverage is placed in second range in its coverage.

PELESAPAN FUNGSI SINTAKSIS DALAM KALIMAT MAJEMUK BAHASA INDONESIA

This research aimed at (1) describing the kinds of syntactic functions disappeared in the compound sentences in Indonesian language, (2) describing the categories of syntax as the antecedents of the syntactic function disappearance of compound sentences in Indonesian language, and (3) describing the function appropriateness and constituent roles having co-reference relationship in the process of the syntactic function disappearance of compound sentences in Indonesian language. This research was classified as descriptive-qualitative research. The data were the compound sentences in Indonesian language including the compound and complex ones that were affected by the disappearance of syntactic functions. The sources of the data were (1) Kedaulatan Rakyat a newspaper; (2) Kartini a magazine; (3) Kafilah-Kafilah Cinta a novel; (4) Syair Panjang Aceh a novel; (6) Anak Semua Bangsa a roman; and (7 ) Lelaki Ikan a short-story collection. The method and technique used during the data collection process were scrutinizing and noting. Furthermore, the data analysis method and techniques used were evenly-distributed methods with direct-substance-distribution techniques, reversing techniques, disappearing techniques, and substituting techniques. The methods used to present the results of the data analysis were implemented informally and formally. The results of the research are: (1) the kinds of compound-sentence syntactic functions in Indonesian language that disappeared included: (a) the disappearance of syntactic function in compound sentences consisting of the disappearance of the subjects, predicates, and the objects, (b) the disappearance of syntactic functions in complex sentences consisting of the disappearance of the subjects only; (2) the syntactic categories as the antecedents of the compound sentence disappearance included (a) the antecedent categories found in compound sentences consisting of words and phrases, (b) the antecedent categories found in complex sentences consisting of words and phrases; (3) the function appropriateness and constituent roles having co-reference relationship in syntactic function disappearance in compound sentences in Indonesian language included (a) the function appropriateness and constituent roles of compound sentences consisted of function co-reference, role co-reference, and function and role co-reference, and (b) the function appropriateness and constituent roles of complex sentences consisted of function co-reference and role co-reference.

Masalah-Masalah Moral Masyarakat di Surat Kabar: Studi Kasus terhadap Halaman “Kasus” di Surat Kabar Harian Kedaulatan Rakyat

Abstract: Information delivered by the media makes the people to communicate each other focus on that information. In the long run, communication about the same object between the people will construct a certain community characterized by the ideology of the media. In this sense, communication media plays its role constructing a community. Besides, communication media can also present the social reality only. It does not build a community, but just portraits it. Newspaper can build a certain community with information published in it. But it can just portrait the social reality of its readers. Kedaulatan Rakyat, the oldest newspaper in Indonesia, of course plays the functions above. It builds a community of the readers or just portraits the social reality of society. This paper describes moral problems of the people portrayed by Kedaulatan Rakyat especially its “Kasus” page. Economic moral cases stays in the first rank among others. The age of 26 up to 45 years’ invidious is critical ages for doing immoral acts.

Indonesian Printing Industry Trends, Current Technology, and Future Development

Printing in Indonesia was introduced by Dutch Colonial in 16th century. The oldest newspaper in Indonesia begin on 1615, named “Memories der Nouvelles” by handwriting, then on 1688 Jan Pieterzoon Coen, Dutch Colonial General Governor for Indonesia, order the first news paper printing machine from Netherlands. Since this year, printing industry at Indonesia growth with Dutch Colonialism influenced until Indonesian Independence Day on 1945. Since 1945, the first National Newspaper born, named “Kedaulatan Rakyat”, and still exist until now.
