We have presented the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect of Sm1-xCaxMnO3 compounds (x = 0.50, 0.55, 0.60 and 0.70) in this work. In association to the experimental verification regarding the formation of the ferromagnetic droplets in robust charge ordered materials through exchange bias and training effect measurements, utilization of the magnetocaloric effect for treating the same problem have been addressed here. Our present study indicates that magnetocaloric effect (isothermal magnetic entropy change) at low temperature regime gets drastically modified according to the influence of the stability of the charge ordering in the host matrix. Additionally, the modifications of the ground states was also addressed accordingly.
