Intranets have evolved from simple internal communications platforms to sophisticated tools, providing a range of functions from real-time communications to seamless access to critical information. With the breadth of the healthcare landscape and the use of intranets in healthcare. The aim of this research is to find out the role of the intranet in building effective collaboration in health services. This research method uses a theoretical study approach. This theoretical theoretical study is a study based on a theoretical basis based on the results of previous research which becomes a theory. The results of this research can play a role in using intranets in health services because they can speed up and simplify work processes and transactions at the hospital. So that the officers at the hospital can work more effectively and efficiently. Finally, the information produced will be timely and useful. It can be concluded that intranet integration in the healthcare sector is not just about the adoption of technology it is an evolution in the way healthcare is delivered. With this intranet, it can certainly provide more targeted, efficient and effective accessibility to patients. For health services, it is necessary to improve health services through the use of intranets where the need for intranet technology can play an important role in equalizing health services to remote areas and cities. So that it can effectively improve service quality.

Exploring the intranet as a change agent: On the sociomaterial entanglement of intranet technology, internal branding and everyday work


 Internal and corporate branding have become prevalent strategies in the field of human resource management. They aim to promote employee commitment and identification with the company through its brand. However, scholars in critical management studies have highlighted the exercise of normative control through these measures. Using the example of an intranet implementation in the context of a company merger in the telecommunications industry, the article examines the branding strategies on the intranet and, furthermore, shows how it prompts employees to constantly reflect on and evaluate the different types of content and related work practices on the intranet. As becomes apparent, in the way the branding content competes with other, to employees more relevant information on the intranet, it is constantly being devaluated. In this manner, the intranet becomes an ambivalent carrier of branding practices, effectively resulting in employees undermining management’s call to identify with the new company brand through the intranet. Nevertheless, the article highlights the ability of employees to overlook irrelevant content as a positive quality of the intranet. It argues for a greater understanding of everyday work in addition to a further integration of employees into change management projects.

Information and registration tool for optimization of record management processes of the institution

The relevance of the research topic consists in the fact that not every organization can purchase and use information systems to automate record management processes of its activities. This research suggests a model of creating an information resource to optimize the record management processes of the “Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Hospital” Charitable Foundation implemented on the basis of a website for internal use using intranet technologies without large financial costs.
 The aim of the paper is to determine the effectiveness of the introduction of the website developed on the basis of intranet technologies for optimization of record management processes in a medical institution on the example of the “Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Hospital” Charitable Foundation.
 The methodology has been implemented using the method of a “goal tree” and the method of functional modeling, namely the use of DFD in Gane-Sarson notation, which proposes to consider the simulated process of creating an information resource of record management processes. To achieve this goal, a methodology based on the application of general scientific and special methods of cognition has been used in the paper.
 The results. The informational and functional model of creating the information resource in a website format for internal use on the basis of intranet technologies has been suggested to ensure the optimization of basic record management processes, which will allow making analysis and systematization of data on various search criteria.
 The topicality. It has been proposed for the first time to create the information resource for optimizing the record management processes of the medical institution on the basis of the website for internal use using intranet technologies. The proposed technology of creating the record-keeping information resource can be adapted not only for small medical institutions, but also for any organizations, which need to automate the functioning of document flows, increase the accuracy and efficiency of statistical, analytical and reference information.
 The practical significance. The website designed on the basis of intranet technologies allows to organize the shared use of the record management information resource by the employees of the institution, equipping it with electronic catalogues and search details, which will facilitate the processes of analytical and synthetic information processing, compilation of reporting documentation, etc.
 The conclusions. The developed and implemented website model for internal use on the basis of intranet technologies ensures automation of basic record management processes of the institution and provides ample opportunities to improve the information and communication interaction of the institution’s head with the employees of the divisions.

Analisis Keberhasilan Penerapan E-Learning di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau

E-learning is a learning system that uses information systems and internet and intranet technology. E-learning is one of the learning tools in the era of the technological revolution 4.0 which is one of the programs of the Ministry of Higher Education Research. Higher education institutions in Indonesia have used e-learning in learning activities. This study aims to evaluate, and analyze the factors that influence the successful use of e-learning in the Faculty of Engineering. Respondent in this Research consisted of 330 people consisting of students and lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering who use e-learning. Sampling is done by accidental sampling method. The model used in the study is the successful model of Delone and McLean using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Models (SEM) analysis using SMARTPLS 2.0. The results showed the high level of success in using e-learning at Engineering Faculty at Riau University in semantic succes level, then technical success level, and effectiveness success level. Factors that influencing the Engineering Faculty of Riau University are information quality and service quality. Designing the Information Educational Environment of the Studying Course for the Educational Process Management Using Cloud Services

The authoritative International Data Corporation (IDC) estimates that by 2023, global spending on public cloud services and infrastructure will be more than double, mainly due to the introduction of digital transformations. Globally, the cloud market is becoming a field of increasingly fierce competition between the world's leading IT corporations. Modern education is rapidly evolving due to teachers who in recent years have introduced cloud services in their professional activities. There was an urgent question about the formation of information and educational environment for cooperation, collaboration, communication and learning mobility. This study is devoted to the analysis of the methods peculiarities of designing the information and educational environment of the discipline with the help of GoogleServices. The authors reviewed Google Services for designing open and closed information and educational environments, which are free, so they can be actively used in the educational process. The advantages of open and closed information-educational environment of the discipline as environments for the organization and management of the educational process are described. In the study, the authors identified the following characteristics of the information and educational environment: openness (support for modern standards, Internet / Intranet technology); scalability (increasing the number of services provided in the environment; the amount of information that can be processed); expansion of databases and knowledge (does not lead to the need to reconfigure the system); integration (the ability to organize a single educational environment to expand the tasks associated with the development and design of educational and methodological support of the educational process); adaptability (dynamic adjustment to the needs of both a particular educational institution and an individual user).

Use of information and communication technologies as a factor in the effectiveness of corporate training in American companies

The effectiveness of American corporate education in the knowledge economy is ensured by the diversification, variability and flexibility of forms, methods and learning technologies, the choice of which largely depends on the purpose, objectives and content of learning, individual characteristics of the learners, material base and financial support of the learning process. Our analysis shows that these methods and technologies are highly interactive, innovative and practice focused, which ensures a high quality of training and its compliance with the needs of today’s global market. Both traditional and electronic learning methods are widely used, though a tendency has been observed over the last ten years to the decrease in the percentage ratio of traditional classroom training hours and the increase in the percentage ratio of technology-based learning hours. The use of technology-based learning methods is rapidly promoted in view of the increasing mobility of employees whose learning needs cannot be met in the traditional classroom only and this process is accelerating in the context of further globalization of the economy. Internet and intranet technologies in American companies create conditions for distance learning of employees. Flexibility and accessibility of e-learning technologies also provide for extensive use of new methods of non-formal learning: mobile learning, social networks, e-coaching, corporate blogs, corporate online libraries (wikis) etc.

The adapted position: preparing political contents for a hybrid media environment

In today’s hybrid media environment, political representatives are expected to deliver their programmatic positions in multiple yet coherent versions. To synchronize these programmatic contents with an accelerated and fragmented media system, they are subjected to what I call ‘adaptation work’. Using ethnographic insights gathered at a party’s headquarter in the Austrian national parliament, the article shows that adaptation work happens in interaction between a digital infrastructure (intranet technology, specific documents) and a writing team (knowledge managers, staff advisers, assistants). This sociomaterial distribution enables practices for archiving and sharing internal knowledge on party positions as well as literary strategies of adjusting positions to different recipients and media. At the same time, adapted positions deliberately shade the internal infrastructure and experts involved in their preparation in order to present representatives as the ones to be held accountable for positions.

An Empirical Study on Adoption of ERP on IT and Non-IT Companies in Odisha

The complex data and information from all sectors are integrated together by the ERP within an organisation. Because of the various kinds of end users, the implementation of the ERP is a complex process to handle. The results however suggests that the system functionalization supports the organisation in the functioning of the HR practices, training and development, self-dependency of employees (end users) and the compatibility factor of the end users as well. Because human resources involve the human capital, therefore the process of human resource management (HRM) is undergoing changes implementing various tools of technology while improving performance. The amalgamation between HRM processes with information technology being termed as electronic human resources management. (E-HRM). So, the phenomenon of E-HRM works to functionalise all operations and activities that the human resource management system dealt with. Both in terms of E-HRM and the virtual human resource management systems do not go with the same interpretations as those streamlined by Lepak and Snell's “The network founded structure built on partnerships and typically framed by networking technologies to support the organisation attain, develop and deploy intellectual capital.” It is not wrong to say that the decentralization of human resource functions is the essence of E-HRM. Those functions typically can be availed through an intranet or other web technology channel. When such facilities are provided within an organisation it helps the managers and employees empower themselves to perform the chosen HR functions themselves, relieving the HR department of those tasks. Intranet technology: a tool for enhancing job performance of secretaries in colleges of education

The study examined the need for intranet technology as tool for enhancing job performance of secretaries in a world of information overload consequent on changes in office procedures due to technological advancement. The descriptive survey designed was adopted. Three research questions and two hypotheses were raised. A validated questionnaire was administered on 20 secretaries from College of Education, Warri. The generated data were analysed using the Mean Scores and t-test. Findings revealed that intranet technology can assist in proper record management, the level of data and information processing through the use of intranet was rated very high extent and the extent to which intranet aid in disseminating large volume of information was also rated very high extent. Also there is significant relationship between secretaries' job performance and intranet usage. The study, therefore, recommends that academic institutions should adopt intranet technology in office administration for efficient service delivery. Efforts should made by school administrators to train and re-train office workers especially secretaries in ICT hardware and software mostly the internet to enhance their knowledge base.

EFFECTS OF INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY ON THE PROCUREMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS IN PUBLIC HOSPITALS IN KENYA

The use of information communication technology in organizations has been found to have far reaching effects in meeting customer needs in terms of service provision. It has enhanced communication along the supply chain hence sharing of real-time information. In procurement it has lead to better inventory management techniques, easy communication with internal and external customers and faster order processing. The general objective of this study was to find out the effect of information communication technology on the procurement of pharmaceutical drugs in public hospitals, Kisii County, Kenya. The research design for the study was nonexperimental in which a descriptive cross-sectional study was done. The accessible population was all the 114 public hospitals in Kisii County. The study used stratified random sampling to categorize the accessible population into district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, health centers and dispensaries. Simple random sampling was then used in each stratum to select cases for inclusion in the main sample size of twenty percent of the accessible population. Paper-based questionnaires were used to obtain raw data. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, that is, frequencies, percentages and means. Findings were presented in tables and figures. The study revealed that inventory management, order processing and information processing and communication are important areas in the procurement of pharmaceutical drugs. Regarding the information processing and communication technologies, it was found out that both the traditional and the modern electronic and internet-based technologies are used in most healthcare facilities. Some district hospital uses the intranet technology for purposes of information sharing internally while others don’t. No facility uses the internet-based extranet technology to link with suppliers. But however, all facilities use the public internet to link with theirsuppliers of pharmaceutical drugs. The modern electronic and internet-based technologies are thought to have brought about some improvements in order placement and tracking, communication and information sharing, gathering of information about quantities and specifications of orders to be made, counting the on-hand inventory and maintenance of appropriate amounts of all type of pharmaceutical drugs. However, the traditional modes of information processing and communication are more used when it comes to inspection of new deliveries than the electronic and internet-based technologies. In regard to the findings of the, it is then necessary to have knowledge of the suppliers side for a much deeper understanding of the whole procurement process of pharmaceutical drugs. Software that can scan the barcodes of pharmaceutical commodities needs to be used by the health facilities to improve on the inspection process rather than using the labor-intensive traditional modes.

This paper analyses the status of aquiculture in China and gives out some of its potential problems. In order to over these problems, Industrial fieldbus and Intranet technology are used in this paper to achieve the hardware and software design, as well as control strategies for factory aquaculture. It applies WEB server, database server and browser to establish the management platform for environment control and production process. The whole system was successfully verified at Zhenjiang production base. Through a real-time control of dissolved oxygen, temperature and PH in pond, this system stabilizes these parameters at each own optimum values, and dramatically improves the overall productivity. The test results show that this system is easy-operated and user friendly, it provides a direct and practical measure for aquiculture, and saves energy as well.

The construction industry is the next frontier as a new, computer-integrated technologies, just as it did 25 years ago of the manufacturing industry. Recently, earlier is the unlikely birth of Internet intranet technologies for design and created a new cooperation mechanism. The advances that have occurred in the manufacturing industry in the areas of collaborative design, intelligent process planning and computer-integrated manufacturing provide significant insights for formulating analogous paradigms for computer-integrated construction. EThekwini Municipality’s intranet for augmenting knowledge–sharing in the organisation

Background: The age of technology, where information and knowledge perform important roles in the organisational context, creates an opportunity for local government organisations (such as metropolitan municipalities) in South Africa to support knowledge–sharing. One such technology that supports knowledge–sharing is an intranet. If an intranet is not effectively managed, knowledge–sharing in an organisation shall not be augmented.Objective: To investigate whether or not an intranet augments knowledge–sharing in the selected organisation of eThekwini Municipality.Methods: In this study a quantitative research approach was adopted.Results: The results of this survey suggest that firstly the intranet appears to be at a medium maturity level; secondly, whilst there is information sharing, the intranet does not appear to be effective as a knowledge–sharing structure; and thirdly there appears to be scope for improvement of the content on the intranet. The implication thereof is that eThekwini Municipality’s recently formed Municipal Institute of Learning (MILE) may be ideally poised to address the identified shortcomings.Conclusion: Intranet technology plays an important role in an organisation by enabling the effective acquisition, sharing and presentation of knowledge. Because of this an intranet must be effectively managed to readily augment knowledge–sharing in the organisational context of local government organisations (such as metropolitan municipalities) in South Africa.

Virtual Journal Club Connects Evidence to Practice

Advancing evidence-based practice in hospitals can be a challenge. To address this issue, a virtual journal club (VJC) was developed using available intranet technology. Research manuscripts are posted along with professional critiques and discussion questions. Comments from nurse VJC participants are reviewed by the hospital's nursing research council and analyzed for practice implications. Recommendations for practice change derived from the analysis are forwarded to the appropriate decision-making body for consideration. This process closes the loop ensuring that the VJC not only exposes the nursing staff to scientific evidence to support changing their practice but also may lead to institutional policy changes that are based on best practice evidence in the literature. The authors discuss the VJC and the outcomes of an evaluation project.
