Local Government on the Move: A Quantitative Report on how Career Development Can Improve Employee Performance

The city council is entrusted with upholding and protecting social sustainability, which encompasses issues related to health and safety, raising standards of living, providing equity and inclusivity, and acting with resilience in response to community needs. The efficacy of the city council is heavily reliant on the performance of civil servants in order to accomplish the stated objectives. Customers' dissatisfaction with the city council's performance is an indication that employees are not working up to par. Prior research has shown that an organization needs to be willing to invest in human resources initiatives in order to address performance issues. Career development should therefore be given top priority since it will shape a desirable attitude and result in high-quality work. Career development activities include training and development, career opportunities, and performance management. In this study, research participants consist of all categories of employees in local government. The results demonstrate a significant correlation between career development and performance, with training being the primary factor influencing performance. Thus, in order to maximize individual performance, career development initiatives that support staff members' physical and mental well-being and embody city councils' internal social responsibility roles must be consistently implemented.

The impact of internal social responsibility on service employees' job satisfaction and organizational engagement

This study investigates the influence of internal corporate social responsibility (iCSR) aspects on employees' job satisfaction and organizational engagement through the lenses of social identity and social exchange theories. Based on a survey collected from 368 employees in 25 banks in Vietnam, the findings show the importance of each iCSR aspect in driving employee job satisfaction and organizational engagement. Job satisfaction is also found to be an antecedent of organizational engagement. The result adds a profound understanding of iCSR to the existing literature and helps bank managers have appropriate solutions to strengthen their employees' job satisfaction and organizational engagement.

Kako interna društvena odgovornost utiče na posvećenost zaposlenih? Istraživanje u uslužnom sektoru u Srbiji

Purpose: Despite the increasing importance of internal social responsibility (ISR), there has been limited research on employees" perceptions regarding social responsibility (SR) and its influence on employees" behavior within service companies. Employees play a crucial role in service delivery in these companies. The present study specifically concentrates on the effects of ISR on organizational commitment with a special emphasis on service companies. The primary goal of this study is to investigate the impact of ISR on organizational commitment components, i.e. affective, continuance and normative commitment in service companies. Methodology: Data were collected using an adapted questionnaire. Descriptive, correlation and regression analysis were applied to examine the hypotheses. Findings: The findings indicate a meaningful positive influence of ISR on affective, continuance and normative commitment among employees. Implications: This emphasizes the importance of integrating ISR into companies" business strategies, especially those oriented towards employees. Recognizing and prioritizing ISR can enhance employees" commitment, motivation and retention, ultimately contributing to organizational success.

Methodology for researching the impact of the conflict on vulnerable categories of the population of Ukraine using the charity marketing approach

The aim of the article. The purpose of this article is to solve two problems simultaneously. Firstly, highlighting the research methodology of the general impact of the current conflict with the Russian Federation on women and children of Ukraine, as well as evaluating the existing level of support and services provided to these vulnerable groups by specialized governmental and non-governmental organizations. Secondly, substantiating the expediency of using the charity marketing approach, its principles and tools by strategic leaders directly or indirectly responsible for post-conflict strategy and social security planning, in the activities of relevant structures and organizations. Analyses results. The methodological aspects of the research of directions of the strategy of reintegration of internally displaced persons in the conditions of military conflict using the approach of charitable marketing are considered. The study is based on the analysis of the results of interviews of strategic leaders directly or tangentially responsible for the strategy and planning of social security (Odesa City Council, territorial united communities in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions). During the research, the project team reached two important conclusions regarding: a) the need to change the methodology of this kind of research in the direction of "mixing" methods of research on socio-economic changes. This is appropriate because expanding and combining or mixing methods of socio-economic change research improves understanding and definition of complex interactions in modern society and rapidly changing environment; b) the application of the charity marketing approach, its principles and tools by strategic leaders directly or indirectly responsible for the strategy and planning of social security, in the activities of relevant structures and organizations, in the development of post-conflict strategies and solutions to support the economic reintegration and resocialization of affected women and children. Charitable marketing tools include partnerships with charitable organizations, social entrepreneurship, supporting charitable events, information campaigns, transparency and reporting, social media, internal social responsibility, and promoting environmental sustainability. A description of the applicability of charity marketing elements for social research and the development of post-conflict strategies and solutions to support the economic reintegration and resocialization of affected women and children is given. It is substantiated that the charity marketing approach strengthens the methodology of researching the impact of the conflict on vulnerable categories of the population of Ukraine at all stages of research, including when substantiating proposals for the development of post-conflict strategies and solutions to support the economic reintegration and resocialization of affected women and children. Conclusions and directions for further research. It is substantiated that the charity marketing approach strengthens the methodology of researching the impact of the conflict on vulnerable categories of the population of Ukraine, both at the initial stage of field research and at the final stage - when substantiating proposals for the development of post-conflict strategies and solutions to support the economic reintegration and resocialization of affected women and children, creating positive influence and contributing to the social development of society. Partnerships with charitable organizations, social entrepreneurship, support of charitable events, information campaigns, transparency and reporting, social media, internal social responsibility and promotion of environmental sustainability - this is the toolkit of charity marketing, which will allow you to positively influence society, while simultaneously expanding the client base of state and regional partners , city, territorial community and strengthening the brands of all participants of charity programs, projects and promotions. The named tools of charitable marketing and their application in post-conflict strategies represent a perspective for further research.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF HOSPITALITY BUSINESS IN UKRAINE: A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS

The article is devoted to a scientific generalization of social responsibility areas of hospitality industry in order to highlight the strategic priorities of its further development in the process of European integration and post-war recovery. Research methods: retrospective analysis, theoretical generalization, classification, grouping. It was determined that the modern consumer actively broadcasts his demand for environmental friendliness, a healthy and conscious lifestyle, while not neglecting the requirement of high service quality. Without the process of institutionalizing social responsibility, it is quite difficult for businesses to respond to these requests.
 4 stages of social responsibility development of hospitality industry were summarized, namely: pre-institutional stage (internal social responsibility directed mainly at employees; charity), stakeholder stage (taking into account the interests of both internal and external stakeholders at all stages of the product cycle), sustainable development stage (includes three directions: environmental friendliness, accessibility, quality assurance in compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals), the stage of activity in war conditions (includes three directions: volunteering, isolation and boycott of the russian federation, countering violence and harassment). Each of these four stages does not lose its relevance, because the service sector is diverse and connected with all other sectors of the national economy. It was determined that the main content of the social responsibility of hospitality industry in Ukraine is the provision of quality services in compliance with ecological and ethical aspects when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders. Understanding what was and is important for the Ukrainian service sector in the field of CSR provides an opportunity for harmonious integration into the European and international business space, the spread and observance of the principles of ethics, accessibility, and environmental friendliness in the post-war recovery of the country's economy.

Examining the Effect of CSR on Financial Performance in China: Agency Cost as Mediator

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examinethe relationship between CSR and corporate financial performance, mainly discussing the relationship between CSR and ROA, also use the agency cost as the mediating variable, using a sample of listed companies in China to conduct the study and provide relevant suggestions for the subsequent development of the company Theoretical framework: As for external social responsibility, the government, the media, the public and corporate governance should strengthen the reporting and monitoring of external social responsibility and establish a multi-governance monitoring system. Design/methodology/approach: Theresearcher used quantitative analysis to explore the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, to reflect how the independent variable affect the dependent variable, and in turn, how to improve the financial performance of firms in China. Findings: The results showed that ccompanies should be restrained from fulfilling external social responsibility as a way of giving back to society without compensation, and should not aim to win the market through speculation or malicious collusion, otherwise it will hinder their long-term development and become a double-edged sword Research, Practical & Social implications: The study is based on heterogeneity and finds that internal social responsibility is conducive to enhancing employee motivation, maintaining the interests of shareholders and internal stakeholders such as suppliers and customers, thus providing a favourable internal environment for green technology innovation. In contrast, an excessive level of external social responsibility fulfilment can lead to companies making the maintenance of external social relations a corporate priority and viewing external social responsibility fulfilment as a tool for speculation to gain access to the market, so that in this way companies may neglect their development. Originality/value: The value of the study highlighted the economic agents, enterprises should actively fulfil their internal social responsibility and strengthen the maintenance of relationships with internal stakeholders such as employees, shareholders, suppliers and customers.

The Mediating Role of Organizational Culture for the Relationship Between Internal Social Responsibility and Intellectual Capital

Purpose: The objective of this study was investigate the effect of internal corporate social responsibility on intellectual capital and testing the moderate effect of organizational culture between the dependent and independent variables in the Jordanian banking sector. Theoretical framework: Internal corporate social responsibility(ICSR) ,Intellectual capital (IC), and organizational culture (OC) are usually considered three crucial pillars to increase firms’ performance in the urban world. Nevertheless, in Arabian countries such as Jordan, these pillars have not received adequate consideration from specialists. Design/methodology/approach: The researcher designed a questionnaire based on the objectives and hypotheses of the study. The researcher distributed 350 questionnaires. 336 questionnaires have been retrieved. SPSS and Smart PLS 4was used to analyze the collected data and test the hypotheses. Findings: Study results showed a positive and significant correlation between Internal corporate social responsibility and intellectual capital , from the standpoint of managers in Jordanian Banking sector. Organizational culture plays a moderating role in the relationship between Internal corporate social responsibility and intellectual capital. Research, Practical & Social implications: Some managerial implications for bank managers in Jordanian banking sector have emerged based on the findings of this study. Originality/value: As far as the author is aware, this is the first empirical study conducted to examine the interrelationship between internal corporate social responsibility, organizational culture and intellectual capital, and their combined effects Arabian countries such as Jordan.

Career satisfaction in the public sector: Implications for a more sustainable and socially responsible human resource management

AbstractAnchored in emerging theoretical insights regarding sustainable human resource management, with a focus on pursuing socially responsible HR, we propose that enhancing employees' career satisfaction in public sector organisations constitutes a unique opportunity for public sector organisations to improve their internal social responsibility, focussing on employees as key stakeholders. In this context, this study provides original evidence regarding an original framework for examining the determinants and outcomes of employees' career satisfaction in the US federal agencies, with implications for the internal social responsibility of public sector organisations, which is a dimension of sustainable HR. We use a longitudinal study design involving a sample of permanent, full‐time civilian federal employees from two surveys conducted by the US Merit Systems Protection Board. We suggest key factors that affect public sector employees' career satisfaction and aspirations. These key factors may be useful for public sector organisations that wish to design more sustainable and socially responsible HRM centred around the career satisfaction of their internal stakeholders.

Social Responsible Company’s Proactive Approach Towards Employees and Tax Policy in the Republic of Serbia

The employer is obliged to respect employees’ rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws, whereas he can provide the employees with some benefits in addition to the salary which depends on his business strategy and financial capabilities. Poor communication among employees, low level of tolerance etc. create a bad working atmosphere, which adversely affects the company’s business. In the paper the author starts from the hypothesis that a socially responsible company could provide greater competitive advantages if it develops a proactive approach to the employees organizing, among others, joint sports and recreational activities that contribute to preserving their health, improving interpersonal relations and establishing closer ties between the employer and the employees. This is especially important under the situation when the two years’ pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus has led to predominantly virtual contacts, isolation and alienation. Both compromise as a way to overcome different opinions and social cohesion increase the company’s profitability. The state has shown readiness to encourage by tax measures the companies to implement the activities of the internal social responsibility which are particularly aimed at the preventive protection of the employees’ health.

Work-Family Interface in the Context of Social Responsibility: A Systematic Literature Review

The literature on internal social responsibility, in which the work-family interface can be included, already has a robust tradition in scientific research. It is, therefore, important to systematize the path that has been taken and what the future may hold. This article aims to systematize the literature that simultaneously focuses on the work-family relationship and on the context of social responsibility and sustainability, with the purpose of mapping the research that has been produced on these intersections. A systematic review of the literature was conducted between the period 1968 and 2021. The search was performed on the SCOPUS database, and the analysis was conducted using the VOSviewer software, with 333 articles having been identified and subjected to a bibliometric and content analysis. As a result, 88 articles were analyzed in depth, focusing on the Work and Life Space dimension and the work-family relationship. The results indicate that corporate social responsibility has a positive effect on the work-family relationship, where an efficient balance between personal and professional life is often measured based on the adequacy of the adjustment of factors such as working hours and social and family commitments.

СОЦІАЛЬНИЙ АУДИТ З УРАХУВАННЯМ КОРПОРАТИВНОЇ СОЦІАЛЬНОЇ ВІДПОВІДАЛЬНОСТІ

Social auditing activities include organizational and methodological support of the audit, practical implementation of audits (audit) and the provision of other audit services. Social audit is a set of measures aimed at changing and improving the process of providing specific services and implementing specific public policies. The main thing in social audit is not the research itself (although this does not eliminate the need for its clear and methodologically correct planning), but the involvement of stakeholders in active activities: service users, policy beneficiaries, government agencies, public opinion leaders and more. We can even say that research within the social audit is a kind of "occasion" for the activation of a community. Social programs help build an image and enhance the reputation of the business and, thus, are long-term investments in intangible assets of the company. In Ukraine, the increased interest of private business in social relations is due to the fact that today human resources have become a decisive factor in economic development. Investments in human capital have entered the category of "profitable". The social function of entrepreneurship is now increasingly determining the economic function (profit). This article examines the main problem of measuring corporate social activity of the enterprise. Corporate social activity is a multifaceted process that affects many actors and is therefore difficult to assess. In addition, companies differ in type of activity, industry affiliation, size, etc. The choice of how to measure corporate social activity plays a key role in researching its relationship to financial performance. In reality, falling incomes and social responsibility of corporations plays an important role in marginalizing a large part of Ukraine's population. Highest The level of internal social responsibility of Ukrainian enterprises, in particular, is observed among large companies, as they are under close scrutiny. Media and stakeholders. In the context of exacerbation of socio-economic and political problems, the topic of social responsibility of enterprises is now a topical issue of management and social development in Ukraine.

DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN CONDITIONS OF DEEPENING EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROCESSES

The purpose of the article is to analyze and improve the theoretical and practical aspects and directions of social responsibility of enterprises in terms of European integration. The essence of the concepts «responsibility» and «social responsibility» is investigated in the article. The main components of the structure of social responsibility are identified: political responsibility; civil liability; production responsibility; legal liability; moral responsibility; responsibility in the field of family and domestic relations. It is established that the development of social responsibility is influenced by the following factors, which are due to modern realities: globalization and the associated intensification of competition; growing size and influence of companies; competition of companies for personnel; the growing role of intangible assets. There are four levels of social responsibility: macro level, meso level, macro level, mega level. To study the internal social responsibility of the enterprise, six areas have been identified, each of which is proposed to be evaluated according to the list of indicators: remuneration and motivation of staff; professional training and staff development; Occupational Health; social programs; additional incentives for staff; satisfaction with the moral and psychological climate in the team. Favorable and unfavorable characteristics of the development of social responsibility in domestic industrial enterprises are revealed. The general problems and prospects of development of social responsibility in Ukraine are defined. The main directions of ensuring the system of social responsibility of enterprises in terms of European integration are proposed.

The Impact of Internal Social Responsibility Policies on University Teachers

The conduct of universities motivated by social practices strengthens their commitment to social responsibility, and professors are seen as significant agents that contribute to optimizing policies in this area. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact generated by the internal policies of university social responsibility of a Colombian university, compared to the organizational environment perceived by the professors. The research developed a descriptive, explanatory, and correlational approach. The vote was used to gather information, applied to 54 individuals chosen under stratified sampling by optimal allocation. The results were derived from applying the generalized additive model of location, scale, and shape; these teach that the impact of university social responsibility policies regarding the organizational environment is determined by the professor’s behavior, which depends on incentives to provide free services to low-income groups or communities. This could be interpreted as a lack of commitment that goes beyond what is strictly agreed in the workplace, highlighting the lack of social responsibility policies in favor of the environment surrounding them.

Corporate social responsibility as the foundation of the development of tourism enterprises

Nowadays the tourism industry contributes to the development of partnership relations between the state and private sector and helps to strengthen the international partnership. It promotes the development of regions and stimulates the cooperation between the tourism industry and public society. Implementation of social orientation of the tourism industry contributes to the use of partnership approach to clients, economic entities, public authorities and local governments, NGOs, and the staff of touristic companies. This way, corporate social responsibility is formed. The implementation of corporate social responsibility stipulates overcoming the legal standards of business. The companies try to establish relations with society and invest in its development, strengthen its reputation, and harmonize the “living environment”. Yet, socially responsible behavior stipulates the allocation of some part of financial resources to solve the tasks that are not directly related to gaining profits. A strive to prosper urges the companies to search for the balance between the need to invest in the social domain and possible economic results in the long run. Understanding the fact that corporate responsibility can be an important tool for competition, the companies actively include its principles in the corporate strategy. The paper examines the features of social responsibility implementation as the foundation for the development of a tourism company. The nature of social responsibility is analyzed and the components of corporate social policy are characterized. The system functions of entrepreneurial activity of touristic companies that impact the forming of corporate social responsibility are determined. Based on the defined function, the major directions of tourism entrepreneurship development are outlined. The scheme of corporate responsibility in the tourism business is constructed. The measures directed at the implementation of external and internal social responsibility of a tourism company are suggested.

Psychological aspects of social responsibility as a method of conflict management at the enterprise

Some aspects of the implementation of social responsibility principles in conflict management at the enterprise are considered in this paper. Any activity involving human interaction is followed by high probability of conflict. The implementation of social responsibility principles affects the interests of a large number of participants – related parties or stakeholders, who, in turn, have their own needs, goals, values and expectations. Certainly, this causes various differences, which over time can escalate into conflicts. One of the primary internal stakeholders of the company is its staff, as the quality and efficiency of the company is influenced not only by the efforts of individual employees, but the overall productivity of the whole team. Social and labor relations between the employer and staff, as well as employees themselves, should be focused on the creation of conditions for human activity and interaction in such a way as to minimize the possibility of various contradictions, conflicts and their destructive development. The means of management, particularly the prevention and resolution of conflicts within the enterprise are the introduction of elements of internal social business responsibility. Its priority areas include: human resources development (advanced training; professional retraining; internships; on-the-job training; the possibility of gaining the second higher education; in-house training, etc.); formation of safe and comfortable working conditions; ensuring the stability of wage payments; additional medical and social insurance of employees; providing financial assistance to employees in critical or emergency situations. At present, modern enterprises, implementing the principles of social responsibility, transform it into social benefit, at the same time receiving a number of positive effects, including improvement of business reputation and image; employee productivity increase; sales growth and customer loyalty; increase of the enterprise investment attractiveness; stimulation of consumer confidence and, first of all, prevention and overcoming of conflicts in the team.

The subject of this research is the current characteristics and development trends in the field of external social responsibility. Particular attention is paid to the development of external social responsibility of scientific institutions. Publication is devoted to the trends and partnerships in the system of external social responsibility of modern organizations of the Russian Federation. The aim of the study was a comprehensive analysis of aspects related to current trends in the field of external social responsibility and partnership. Results of the work: the concept of external social responsibility is presented, the categories of internal and external social responsibility are delimited. A list of partners in the field of external social responsibility is provided, the principles of participation and interaction in the subject area are characterized, key trends in the development of external social responsibility in the era of the knowledge economy and digitalization are presented. It is concluded that in the knowledge economy, the task of developing social responsibility within the framework of partnership between the state, business and scientific institutions along the triple spiral of interaction in the national innovation system is actualized. In this regard, the formation and development of professional systemic management of external social responsibility of organizations involved in the research and development is seen as extremely important. Practical recommendations on the development and professionalization of the management of external social responsibility of scientific institutions are presented.

Existen diversas prácticas que procuran pensar en el bienestar del empleador y en el desarrollo de la entidad, esta idea es producto de una investigación que llevaron a cabo la Universidad de Ibagué y el Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey que otorga como resultado la publicación del libro Prácticas sostenibles de Gestión Humana. Un énfasis desde la Responsabilidad Social Interna en 2020.

Responsible Job Design Based on the Internal Social Responsibility of Local Governments.

Sustainability needs the socially responsible orientation of public institutions, but not only externally. How civil servants and municipal employees consider what local governments do in relation to their internal social responsibility is the main question of this study. Through structural equation modelling and a sample of 294 employees in local governments in a Spanish region (Extremadura), it is demonstrated that responsible job position design, as well as good communication and team building, both have positive and significant effects on the personal identification of employees with the city council. That has been interpreted as the essence of internal social responsibility and the first step for building external social responsibility at the municipal level. Practical implications and future directions are discussed.

The Role of Internal Social Responsibility in Achieving Organizational Symmetry

This study aimed to identify the role of internal social responsibility in achieving the organizational symmetry of employees in Qatar commercial banks, and to achieve this goal the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical method and designed and distributed the questionnaire to the sample of the study consisting of 372 employees working in Qatar commercial banks, and the number of questionnaires can be analyzed 310 questionnaires. The study found that internal social responsibility has had an impact on organizational symmetry in Qatar commercial banks. The study recommended the need for Qatar commercial banks to adhere to their internal social responsibility and maintain them, because they have a positive impact on the performance of their employees and achieve their objectives, work to meet the needs and requirements of their employees, and increase the amount of material and moral benefits they achieve, which will generate a sense of satisfaction and belonging to the bank.

Interactive methods of mathematics teaching in technical universities: the educational and upbrbringing aspects

The relevance of research aimed at identifying promising interactive methods of teaching mathematics to improve the effectiveness of the educational and upbringing process is proved. The need to systematize ideas about interactive methods of teaching mathematics that contribute to improving the quality of education and upbringing of students is determined. Both educational and upbringing resources of interactive teaching are shown, where education is possible through the purposeful formation of personal qualities due to the development of independent creative and critical thinking. It is noted that software products, information and communication technologies, interactive whiteboards, STEM classes, as components of interactive methods, should be used not only for information transfer, but also contribute to the process of accumulation and exchange of knowledge for the formation of the personality, creativity and abilities of the student. It is defined that the project methods, when the trainees interact to solve the set of tasks for a given period of time, individually or in groups, contribute to the development of internal motivation, independent thinking, selfesteem and social responsibility. At the same time, pedagogical efforts should be aimed at reducing interpersonal tension in the group in order to achieve synergistic effect from working in the team, as well as using the element of the game is necessary for the upbringing that contributes to increasing the confidence, motivation and effectiveness of students' education.
