Sosialisasi Penggunaan Media Pop Up Book di SD Negeri Malaka

This service or socialization was motivated by a problem among students at SD Negeri Malaka Class II, namely that many students were still not fluent in reading. This happens because teachers are lacking in implementing literacy movements such as reading 15 minutes before studying, not implementing reading corners in the classroom and not using media and models appropriately, teachers are not playing an active role in inviting students to visit the school library and teachers are not providing assistance to students. in supervising learning, especially Indonesian language learning, namely in the aspect of reading skills, namely reading poetry, therefore it is seen that students lack enthusiasm in learning. The teacher must choose the right model and use interesting, creative and innovative learning media. Therefore, the teacher takes steps by using pop up book media to increase students' reading interest. The approach or method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which is a research approach that involves active participation from community groups who are research subjects. This method aims to produce knowledge that is relevant, useful and can be applied in everyday life. This activity was carried out at Malaka Class II Elementary School. With the presence of Pop up book media, students will be inspired and increase their interest in reading. by using Media.

Pengaruh Terapi Story Telling Kisah Nabi Pada Anak Prasekolah Untuk Menurunkan Kecemasan Hospitalisasi

Background: Hospitalization anxiety in children is quite large (60-80%), this is happen if a children had experienced unpleasant events. Hospitalization anxiety needs to be a special concern for health workers because this problem can interfere with the child's growth and development, the healing process and worsen the child's condition. Storytelling therapy for children has many benefits for developing imagination, empathy, establishing closeness, fostering interest in reading and becoming a medium of learning for children. Objective: This research aims to describe the process of providing story telling therapy to preschool aged in anxiety of hospitalization. Method: This study used a case study research design with 2 child patient subjects. The Visual Facial Anxiety Scale (VFAS) measured children's anxiety. This research was conducted in children's rooms at Kardinah Regional Hospital Tegal City. Results: Both research subjects experienced a decrease in hospitalization anxiety. Subject 1 experienced "moderate" became "none" anxiety scale. Subject 2 experienced "moderate high" became "mild" anxiety scale.

Pengelolaan Sarana dan Prasarana Perpustakaan untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran di MTS YPAK Cigugur

This research aims to determine the management of library facilities and infrastructure at MTs YPAK Cigugur. Second, knowing about library management in improving the quality of learning at MTs YPAK Cigugur. This research is qualitative research using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Research location at MTs YPAK Cigugur. The results of the research show that library management is not optimal in fostering the quality of learning and interest in reading of students at MTs YPAK Cigugur. This is evidenced by the facilities and infrastructure which are still far from the ideal library concept and library standards, where the room for the library is not spacious enough and the facilities in the library are not complete, there is only 1 table and chair, 1 bookshelf, and 2 cupboards which only contain books. - books that have been damaged, causing children to be less interested in coming to the library, which causes them to prefer reading in the classroom rather than in the library. The benefit of this research is to help the YPAK Cigugur MTs school find the right solution to make the library a learning place for students so that students can understand the meaning of reading in the library room.

The problem of low reading culture is one of the important issues in understanding the low level of literacy of Indonesian people. In addition to the low interest in reading, students' interest in visiting the library is still low. This can occur due to lack of reading material, then the available reading material does not vary so that it causes students to be lazy to read. So it is necessary to get used to the culture of reading in order to increase interest starting among early childhood. The partner of this activity is the Study Group in the South Tambun area. In the implementation there are five cycles of stages ranging from observation, counseling, training, mentoring and evaluation. The results of this activity all cycles involve an active role between the team and partners in developing the reading room corner. The enthusiasm for the existing reading room corner was welcomed with pleasure from teachers, students who felt facilitated and the realization of the reading room corner and the general public in the environment around the partner location.

Increasing Communication Literacy at Public Elementary School 05 Pemulutan

Literacy is a symbol, system, and sound structure that conveys meaning, representing a fundamental competency encompassing four language skill listening, speaking, reading, and writing. One key element in education is communication literacy, which is an individual’s ability to context. This research aims to raise awareness among elementary school students about the importance of communication literacy at SD Negeri 05 Pemulutan. The research employs two methodes 1) Conventional and 2) Question and Answer. The conventional method assesses the extent of student’s compherension through interactive questioning. The results indicate that concrete steps have been taken to improve student’s communications literacy, previously at a low level. These efforts have assisted students in increasing their interest in reading and writing, as well as enhancing their abilities to use information and communication technology. This research contributes insight into how to enhance communication literacy at the elementary school level by demonstrating the effectiveness of specific teaching strategies and involving various stakeholers.

High-cycle and low-cycle fatigue life prediction under random multiaxial loadings without cycle counting

A novel fatigue life prediction method under random multiaxial loadings is proposed in this paper. One unique benefit of the proposed method is that it is based on the time-derivative fatigue crack growth formulation and does not need cycle counting under arbitrary loadings. First, a brief review of subcycle fatigue crack growth (FCG) analysis and the equivalent initial flaw size (EIFS) concept for life prediction is introduced. Next, the existing subcycle fatigue crack growth model is extended to near-threshold conditions. An intrinsic fatigue threshold of the material is introduced, and a hypothesis is proposed that the crack only grows when the local stress intensity factor is beyond the intrinsic threshold. Following this, the analogy of stress intensity factor and strain intensity factor is used to extend the fatigue life prediction model to strain-based fatigue analysis. Correction for large plastic deformation is included to handle low-cycle fatigue life prediction. The novelties of this model are that it considers the FCG at the threshold and near-threshold region and it is able to predict both HCF and LCF conditions using FCG-based life prediction. Following this, extensive in-house and literature data for AL-7075-T6 under uniaxial and multiaxial, constant, and random loadings are used for model validation. Discussions for the effect of model parameters are provided based on parametric analysis. Conclusions and future work are mentioned. Code and data are released in public cloud service for interested readers.

<p class="5Abstract">The KOPRI Puskesmas is one of the Puskesmas in Bandar Lampung City which is located in Jalan Pulau Pisang, Sukarame District. KOPRI Puskesmas is present as one of the Puskesmas that provides the best health services supported by doctors and health workers who are competent in their fields. The conventional way of conveying messages provokes the commitment of the KOPRI Health Center to provide the best service for visitors who are not fully known by the public, which is not in line with the essence of indoor communication media that inspires enthusiasm. Infographics are practical media that can be presented statistically or digitally, such as publications on social media and websites. Infographics are useful in 1) Presenting complex information that is pleasing to the eye, 2) Brief interpretation of the substance of the message by the audience, 3) Increasing the effectiveness of digital marketing, and 4) Increasing the interest of message readers. This study uses a qualitative approach method. In the qualitative approach method, there are two sources of data that are used as a reference for analysis, namely primary data and secondary data. Menumbuhkan Minat Baca Siswa Melalui Kegiatan Literasi di Sekolah

This research is motivated by students' interest in reading in Indonesia. Students' interest in reading in Indonesia is still relatively low. Education in Indonesia lags other countries. There are two factors that influence low interest in reading, namely internal factors that come from oneself and external factors that come from outside. This research is a type of qualitative research with a literature study method (library research). The process of collecting data by searching for sources and constructing them from various sources, for example books, articles and research that has already been carried out. The analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The low interest in reading in Indonesia needs to be addressed, one way is by implementing the School Literacy Movement (GLS). GLS is a government program implemented to foster interest in reading among students in Indonesia. The main aim of GLS is to foster interest in reading widely, so that it is easy to recognize letters or words that are not well understood and increase motivation in the independent learning process. GLS is carried out in three stages, first the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. There are factors that support and factors that hinder the implementation of the GLS strategy.

Investigations in Patterns in Last Digits of Square Numbers and Higher Powers

It is interesting to see what patterns exist in the final digits of powers of integers; the goal of this work is to introduce some new problems and results, which are ideally suited for interested readers to pursue further. We start our investigation with squares and say a square is a k-square good number if its last k digits base 10 are the same non-zero number, and the last k + 1 digits are not identical. We completely analyze k-square good numbers; when k = 1 we can have final digits of 1, 4, 5, 6 and 9 (with the second to last digit different), when k = 2 we can end with 44 but not 444, when k = 3 we can end with 444 but not 4444, and there are no 4-square good numbers. We then generalize these arguments to look at k-cube and k-fourth good numbers, completely analyzing these cases. Noting that any even power 2m is the same as squaring an mth power, we can extend our results to even powers more easily than to odd, as the behavior has to be a subset of what we have seen for squares. There are complications arising from powers of 2 dividing our numbers, but using results from elementary number theory (in particular concerning the totient function and Euler’s theorem), we reduce the problem for even powers to a tractable finite computation, and completely resolve this case, and then end with a list of accessible next problems.

Utilization of Digital Books in Increasing Students' Reading Interest

Along with the times, technology in its development certainly brings life changes, especially in the world of education which will also continue to develop. Nowadays all activities we can enjoy through mobile phones. The use of technology as a learning medium is an innovative step to improve the quality and quality of education in Indonesia, this can be seen in the Indonesian Ministry of Education which supports utilizing technology as a form of utilizing digital technology as a learning medium, namely by utilizing digital books. The purpose of this study is to provide new information about fun learning resources for students, namely through the use of digital books to increase reading interest. This study used the PTK method (classroom action research) using the research subjects of grade IV elementary school students at SDN Kebarepan 1 Kab. Cirebon totaling 30 students, using collections in the form of questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study in the form of an answered questionnaire disseminated by a researcher on the use of digital books showed that the use of digital books can increase students' reading interest as shown by an increase in their reading interest indicators, and can improve reading skills shown by an increase in their reading ability test results, starting from an average of 61 in the pre-PTK test, to 79 in the first cycle PTK test and to 83 in the second cycle PTK test.

The Effect of Bumper Stickers Strategy to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension Viewed from Students’ Reading Interest

Reading is essential for information acquisition, but students often struggle with understanding descriptive writing. To improve reading comprehension, educators could employ the Bumper Sticker strategy, using color-coded lists to help students grasp the text's main ideas. This study reports the effectiveness of the bumper sticker reading strategy in fostering students' reading interests. The quasi-experimental study comprised two groups of seventh-grade students, each consisting of 40 students. Data were gathered through a reading interest questionnaire and a multiple-choice reading comprehension test. Results reveal that the Bumper Sticker strategy effectively enhances reading comprehension aligned with students' interests. Notably, the conventional strategy also improves comprehension in alignment with students' interests. Lastly, the Bumper Sticker strategy is particularly effective for highly interested students. The recommendation is to employ the bumper sticker strategy, enabling students to create color-coded lists, thereby enhancing their comprehension of the material.

Analisis Kesulitan Siswa SD Dalam Mengidentifikasi Ide Pokok Paragraf Di SDN Sempu 2

The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulty of students in determining the main idea in a paragraph. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with research methods in the form of descriptive research methods. Data sources taken in the form of interviews, observations, journals, articles, books, and other scientific works that are relevant and in accordance with the object of research study. Data collection techniques used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results showed that there were 2 causes of students' difficulties in determining the main idea of a paragraph, namely internal and external factors, internal factors include, 1) students do not understand the main idea of a paragraph; 2) students have not been able to distinguish between which are the main sentences and explanatory sentences; 3) students do not like the main idea material; 4) lack of interest in reading in students. While external factors include, 1) the lack of teacher methods and strategies in providing main idea material so that students dislike main idea material; 2) the use of local languages that become everyday language.

Analysis of the Depth of Literacy with Fertility in Ever Married Women Aged 15-49 Years (Advannced Analysis of Indonesian Health Demographc Survey (SDKI) 2017)

Literacy is a concept that is integrated into knowledge, motivation and competence to access, understand, assess and apply health information to make decisions and make decisions in everyday life. One important factor that supports a person's knowledge is the depth of literacy. This research uses a quantitative approach using data from the results of data collection in the Indonesian Health Demographic Survey which is then analyzed using the chi-square test. The research results show that depth of literacy is related to fertility with p = 0.000, which means there is a relationship between depth of literacy and fertility level. The importance of literacy is the main trigger factor for increasing knowledge, so efforts need to be made so that people increase their interest in reading about things related to their health.

This research aims to provide insight into the benefits of reading literacy to expand knowledge and to hone critical thinking skills in elementary school students. This research investigates the potential of gamification in encouraging reading motivation among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. Reading motivation is crucial in language learning, and gamification offers promising inenues to enhance it. The study examines both reading skills and the various factors influencing reading motivation. Utilizing a conceptual paper methodology, this research systematically analyzes existing literature, theories, and concepts related to gamification and reading motivation in EFL learning, providing a comprehensive synthesis that forms the basis for understanding the potential impact of gamification on enhancing reading motivation among students. The synthesis of findings indicates that gamification positively impacts EFL learners’ reading motivation by fostering greater involvement, independence, and belief in their reading abilities. By incorporating game elements like points, badges, and leaderboards, this study reveals that through gamification in reading activities, learners not only achieve a sense of progress and competition but also overcome challenges like lack of interest, self-confidence, and autonomy in EFL reading, ultimately fostering increased motivation.

The 6th Army Teaching Campus in collaboration with the students of SMKS Nusantara Banyuwangi created the Pojok Read program as a means to increase the reading interest of pupils. Research methods that use qualitative descriptive methods which use data collection methods such as observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the research showed that the Making of a Reading Claw at NUSANTARA BANYUWANGI SMKS contributed positively to the increased interest of students in reading. By providing a pleasant and comfortable space for reading so that it affects student learning achievements. With the presence of Reading Corner, it is possible to implement the School Literacy Movement that can develop student reading skills and absorb information from reading to improve student academic achievement in a variety of subjects.
