The article describes a new system for managing disasters and its adherence to the specific needs of disaster management system criteria based on compliance with Malaysia’s disaster management environment, hence enabling lead responding agencies and industries to have the opportunity of having expert assistance during disaster situations. This paper is part of a larger research on Integrated Disaster Management Systems (IDMS), which has been previously published and properly mentioned throughout this paper, hence the paper concentrates on IDMS development. Based on Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) and developed based on Structured Query Language (SQL), the development of IDMS used HTML and combining database from MySQL, hence providing a graphical user interface (GUI) for end-user with simple usage of IDMS and interactive information interchange between a user server and web pages. The output system is an IDMS consisting of eight (8) forms and six (6) output reports. Each form and output report have their own purpose allowing assistance to emergency responders in managing disasters. The outcome of these systems complies with elements of effective emergency management and the criteria for a computerized disaster management system and can be used for future criteria in developing a comprehensive disaster management system. The novelty of the results creates more systematic and validated ways of managing disasters effectively and comprehensively during real-time situations and even training simulations.
