Abstract Dynamic reactive power optimization is important to ensure the security and economy for power system operation. With large-scale wind farm integration in power systems, dealing with the uncertainty of wind output power in dynamic reactive power optimization is a challenge. To address such issue, a Dynamic Operation Scenario (DOS) model is proposed considering the operation characteristic of the power system integrated with practical large-scale wind farm. Firstly, the optimal dynamic reactive power/voltage control variable vectors are obtained. Then, scenario reduction of the control variable vectors is performed. Finally, the proposed DOS model is verified with rationality and superiority.
