Analysis of corporate management risks in the work of logistics enterprises

Relevance of the problem. Complexity in the global supply chain increase the risks that enterprises are exposed to, including logistics. Purpose of the article. The article analyzes the corporate management risks of logistics enterprises. Methods. The article used the method of statistical groupings and statistical tables, the game theory method, the matrix game method. Main results. The study substantiates an algorithm for the analysis of corporate management risks of using blockchain technologies in the activities of logistics companies when concluding smart contracts, certifying new types of transportation, and integrating cryptocurrency for delivery payments. Examples of choosing an economic strategy for managing the risks of a logistics company using the criteria of maximax, Laplace, Wald, Savage, Bayesian, Hurwicz were elaborated. Referring to the relevant calculations, it was determined that the most often recommended strategy was “the certification of new types of logistics services”. It was determined that this strategy will contribute to minimizing the logistics company's risks associated with the implementation of blockchain technology through ensuring the competitive position through innovation. Decentralized Federated Learning (FL) offers a paradigm where independent entities collaboratively train a machine learning model while preserving the privacy of their datasets. However, existing FL systems using blockchain often struggle with scalability, latency, and privacy issues, particularly in permissionless blockchain contexts. This paper proposes OpenFL, a novel, collateral-backed reputation system implemented on the Ethereum blockchain. This system aims to foster trust among participants in a decentralized FL environment. We present a fully autonomous smart contract platform specifically tailored to facilitate FL processes among anonymous users. Establishing the relationship between the strategic factors influencing blockchain technology deployment for achieving SDG and ESG objectives during infrastructure development: an ISM-MICMAC approach

PurposeImplementing blockchain in sustainable development goals (SDGs) and environmental, social and governance (ESG)-aligned infrastructure development involves intricate strategic factors. Despite technological advancements, a significant research gap persists, particularly in emerging economies. This study aims to address the challenges related to SDGs and ESG objectives during infrastructure delivery remain problematic, identifying and evaluating critical strategic factors for successful blockchain implementation.Design/methodology/approachThis study employs a three-stage methodology. Initially, 13 strategic factors are identified through a literature review and validated by conducting semi-structured interviews with six experts. In the second stage, the data were collected from nine additional experts. In the final stage, the collected data undergoes analysis using interpretive structural modeling (ISM)–cross-impact matrix multiplication applied to classification (MICMAC), aiming to identify and evaluate the independent and dependent powers of strategic factors driving blockchain implementation in infrastructure development for SDGs and ESG objectives.FindingsThe study’s findings highlight three significant independent factors crucial for successfully integrating blockchain technology (BT) into infrastructure development for SDGs and ESG goals: data security (F4), identity management (F8) and supply chain management (F7). The study unravels these factors, hierarchical relationships and dependencies by applying the MICMAC and ISM techniques, emphasizing their interconnectedness.Originality/valueThis study highlights critical strategic factors for successful blockchain integration in SDG and ESG-aligned infrastructure development, offering insights for policymakers and practitioners while emphasizing the importance of training and infrastructure support in advancing sustainable practices.

<p>The Smart Traffic Light system plays a crucial role in smart cities, contributing significantly to enhancing the overall urban living standards, supporting sustainable practices, assuring public safety, and optimizing operational efficiency. Smart lighting systems leverage advanced technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, and networking to construct a complex and flexible lighting infrastructure. Anomalies within the context of a Smart Light system’s data pertain to patterns, events, or behaviors that are unexpected or uncommon, displaying a considerable deviation from the system’s typical operational state. The distributed and tamper-resistant ledger of blockchain technology renders it well-suited for maintaining an open and immutable record of data and events pertaining to smart lighting systems. The integration of blockchain technology and anomaly detection techniques enables the establishment of a resilient and reliable smart lighting system. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the application of the Isolation Forest algorithm for anomaly detection and its enhancement through the implementation of Proof of Stake for enhanced security measures. The Isolation Forest algorithm is utilized for anomaly prediction and evaluation of accuracy and precision. This is achieved by employing synthetic ground truth labels. Subsequently, the non-anomalous data is incorporated into the system as blocks using blockchain technology. The experimentation involves the use of synthetic numerical data derived from a dataset accessible on Kaggle. This process is conducted in two distinct phases. The first phase focuses on the analysis of synthetic numerical data, specifically targeting the identification of anomalies, prior to the implementation of blockchain technology. In the second phase, the same technique is applied to the synthetic numerical data following the integration of blockchain technology. Various machine learning (ML) models were utilized to analyze the data, resulting in improved accuracy from 48% to 94%, as evidenced by the validation of the obtained results. The empirical results indicate that the utilization of blockchain technology in data processing leads to an improvement in accuracy. Furthermore, the random forest algorithm exhibits robust performance when integrated with blockchain technology.</p>

When considering the problems of digital transformation of various spheres of life support for the country and maintaining the defense capability of the state, it seems advisable to focus on the most effective digital technologies. Among them, in the context of an increasing risk of cyber threats, blockchain technology, which has a promisingly increasing potential for information security and demonstrates dynamic development in many areas of socio-economic life, primarily attracts at- tention. The article discusses the historical aspects of the development of blockchain tech- nology, presents the results of a study of its main characteristics, international and domestic experience of application, and also presents prospects for implementa- tion in the management of medical property resources. It has been determined that in the context of using distributed database technology in the field of military healthcare, the preferred solution is to use a closed type of blockchain, characterized by a high degree of digital security and scalability. Based on the results obtained during the study, the main advantages and limita- tions of implementing distributed database technology within military healthcare were highlighted. It has been determined that in order to increase the efficiency of the medical ser- vice, it is promising to build a single digital loop for managing medical property resources on the basis of blockchain technology in accordance with the territorial medical support system. It is concluded that digital transformation through the integration of blockchain technology into the practical activities of a medical service can be an effective tool for optimizing the processes of managing medical property resources. However, further comprehensive study of this issue is required, as well as justification and development of possible modifications of existing digital solutions, taking into ac- count the needs of military healthcare and the need to rationalize the provision of medical equipment to assigned contingents.

Blockchain technology has been used for the digitalization of physical asset management and data management processes in many areas in the industry and academia, including the water domain. Its potential as an immutable data storage system and smart contract integration has provided a plethora of use cases and utility in the domain of hydrology and water resources. This systematic review critically examines the application of blockchain technology in the field of water resources and hydrology. By analyzing 104 academic publications and 37 non-academic studies from 2017 to 15 October 2022, this paper identifies the current state of blockchain applications in water management, delineates their potential use cases, and assesses their practical utility and scalability. Despite the theoretical promise of blockchain for enhancing water governance, data security, and stakeholder trust, the review reveals a noticeable gap between theoretical potential and the existence of workable, real-time applications specifically in water resources management. The findings indicate that while blockchain technology has been effectively implemented in various sectors, its adoption in hydrological domain is still emerging, with limited empirical evidence to support full-scale deployment. The paper concludes with a call for more empirical research to validate theoretical benefits, address scalability and interoperability challenges, and integrate blockchain technology with real-time data networks for sustainable water management practices.

Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of product provenance information to consumers, with blockchain technology offering certainty and increasing customer loyalty toward brands that prioritize transparency.Research limitations/implicationsThis research has several limitations that should be acknowledged. The ANN in this study estimated the impact of digital economy growth and structure improvement on adverse environmental effects, waste reduction, and environmental sustainability. Linear regression confirmed the acceptable error of the network’s predictions compared to experimental results. Research on Blockchain-Enabled Smart Grid for Anti-Theft Electricity Securing Peer-to-Peer Transactions in Modern Grids.

Electricity theft presents a significant financial burden to utility companies globally, amounting to trillions of dollars annually. This pressing issue underscores the need for transformative measures within the electrical grid. Accordingly, our study explores the integration of block chain technology into smart grids to combat electricity theft, improve grid efficiency, and facilitate renewable energy integration. Block chain's core principles of decentralization, transparency, and immutability align seamlessly with the objectives of modernizing power systems and securing transactions within the electricity grid. However, as smart grids advance, they also become more vulnerable to attacks, particularly from smart meters, compared to traditional mechanical meters. Our research aims to introduce an advanced approach to identifying energy theft while prioritizing user privacy, a critical aspect often neglected in existing methodologies that mandate the disclosure of sensitive user data. To achieve this goal, we introduce three distributed algorithms: lower-upper decomposition (LUD), lower-upper decomposition with partial pivoting (LUDP), and optimized LUD composition (OLUD), tailored specifically for peer-to-peer (P2P) computing in smart grids. These algorithms are meticulously crafted to solve linear systems of equations and calculate users' "honesty coefficients," providing a robust mechanism for detecting fraudulent activities. Through extensive simulations, we showcase the efficiency and accuracy of our algorithms in identifying deceitful users while safeguarding data confidentiality. This innovative approach not only bolsters the security of smart grids against energy theft, but also addresses privacy and security concerns inherent in conventional energy-theft detection methods.

Internet of medical things and blockchain-enabled patient-centric agent through SDN for remote patient monitoring in 5G network

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant increase in the use of internet resources for accessing medical care, resulting in the development and advancement of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). This technology utilizes a range of medical equipment and testing software to broadcast patient results over the internet, hence enabling the provision of remote healthcare services. Nevertheless, the preservation of privacy and security in the realm of online communication continues to provide a significant and pressing obstacle. Blockchain technology has shown the potential to mitigate security apprehensions across several sectors, such as the healthcare industry. Recent advancements in research have included intelligent agents in patient monitoring systems by integrating blockchain technology. However, the conventional network configuration of the agent and blockchain introduces a level of complexity. In order to address this disparity, we present a proposed architectural framework that combines software defined networking (SDN) with Blockchain technology. This framework is specially tailored for the purpose of facilitating remote patient monitoring systems within the context of a 5G environment. The architectural design contains a patient-centric agent (PCA) inside the SDN control plane for the purpose of managing user data on behalf of the patients. The appropriate handling of patient data is ensured by the PCA via the provision of essential instructions to the forwarding devices. The suggested model is assessed using hyperledger fabric on docker-engine, and its performance is compared to that of current models in fifth generation (5G) networks. The performance of our suggested model surpasses current methodologies, as shown by our extensive study including factors such as throughput, dependability, communication overhead, and packet error rate.
