Penerapan Modul Ajar Literasi Inovatif Berbantuan Teks Narasi Imajinatif untuk Peningkatan Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas 2 SD

This research aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills in material on maintaining personal health in the Indonesian language subject for grade 2 students at SDN Wates 01 through the application of innovative literacy teaching modules assisted by imaginative narrative texts. This research uses a mix method which combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research results showed a significant increase in the average student score from 65 (42% completeness with quite effective criteria) on the pretest to 85 (85% completeness with very effective criteria) on the posttest. Innovative literacy teaching modules assisted by imaginative narrative texts have been proven to improve students' reading skills and understanding of material on maintaining personal health, especially dental health, Indonesian language subjects.

Evaluasi Program Literasi Dengan Model CIPP Di MTSN 2 Kota Bekasi

This study aims to evaluate the literacy program at MTSN 2 Kota Bekasi using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. This model was chosen to provide a comprehensive analysis of the program's success and recommendations for improvement. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving students, teachers, the head of the madrasah, and parents. The evaluation results in the Context component indicate that the literacy program's objectives align with the madrasah's vision, although parental involvement needs strengthening. In the Input component, the competence of human resources and supporting facilities are deemed sufficient, yet diversifying book collections and increasing parental engagement remain challenges. The Process component shows that literacy activities such as workshops, writing competitions, and literacy campaigns have been well-executed, but more thorough socialization and evaluation are needed. The Product component reveals positive outcomes, with a 60% increase in students' reading interest, a 66.67% increase in average reading time, and a 90% increase in book collections. However, challenges include a lack of innovative literacy teaching methods among non-language teachers and stereotypes that literacy programs are solely the responsibility of language teachers. The study recommends developing a more structured and technology-based literacy program, intensive teacher training, and regular monitoring to ensure the program's sustainability. These improvements are expected to make the literacy program at MTSN 2 Kota Bekasi more effective in fostering a sustainable literacy culture.

Improving Literacy Learning and School Library Management Through a Smart Literacy System for Kids at SDN Demaan

Improving students' literacy skills is a key step toward achieving quality education. However, the implementation of literacy learning in elementary schools is not yet fully optimal, and the library's supporting resources have not been utilized effectively. As a result, students' literacy skills remain low. This situation is evident at SDN Demaan Jepara, which is a partner in this PKM activity. The aim of this PKM is to enhance teacher competency in developing student literacy skills and managing the library at SDN Demaan Jepara. The PKM activity employs a service-learning method, which includes stages of socialization, training, mentoring, and reflective evaluation of activities. It begins with an analysis of partner needs through observation and interviews. The targets of this PKM are the school principal, teachers, and education staff at SDN Demaan, totaling 20 participants. The results of this PKM show that the activity contributed to insights into differentiated literacy learning innovations, achieving a success rate of 90%. The program also positively impacted the skills of SDN Demaan Jepara teachers in using technology to enhance student literacy learning and in providing varied digital-based learning resources, with a success rate of 88%. Additionally, the 'Smart Literacy for Kids' application developed by the Service Team helps partners implement innovative literacy learning and effective library management, achieving a success rate of 88%. Therefore, this training and mentoring activity can positively affect the competency and creativity of the partners

Relationship between human capital and entrepreneurship orientation from the intellectual capital perspective of innovative literacy

PurposeThis study measures the relationship between human capital and innovative literacy from the perspective of intellectual capital. For this purpose, the relationship between human capital and innovative literacy was first investigated to measure intellectual capital. Subsequently, the moderating effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the influence of innovative literacy on human capital was also analysed.Design/methodology/approachThis study analyses the relationship between innovative literacy, human capital and entrepreneurial orientation through structural equation modelling – the study sample comprised 457 participants in Türkiye.FindingsThe results suggest a positive relationship between human capital, a sub-component of intellectual capital and innovative literacy. Innovative literacy can influence intellectual capital and increase value. Our finding further confirms that entrepreneurial orientation has no moderating effect on the same relationship.Research limitations/implicationsDespite the observed correlation between IL and HC growth, this study had some limitations. First, the generalisability of the findings is limited because the sample was selected from individuals with a high level of education in Türkiye. Despite these limitations, this study has important theoretical and practical implications for developing countries. Türkiye is a developing country, and the selected sample is the most critical database in the country for an Innovative Literacy Scale. However, future research could focus on whether there is a potential source of bias and collect and compare data from heterogeneous workers. In addition, research on existing research frameworks in other countries may consider varying levels of education and business sectors. This research aims to be a pioneering initiative towards the advancement of IL. The question of whether IL should be considered equivalent to or a subset of HC, which has been previously proposed as a dimension of IC, can be clarified through a thorough examination of what IL means.Practical implicationsIn a theoretical framework, transforming human capital into value through innovations derived from innovative literacy activities will significantly increase the company's intellectual capital. Organizations in which innovative literacy play an important role achieve organizational goals, strengthen commitment and contribute to sustainability through the emergence of new potential innovative individuals. This research also contributes significantly to the existing literature. Initially regarding theoretical implications, this study examines the concept of innovative literacy in the existing literature on intellectual capital, human capital and entrepreneurial orientation. Additionally, this study offers a new perspective on intellectual capital.Social implicationsThe findings of this research also provide managerial outcomes. Initially, the assessment of concepts, research and development capabilities and efficient knowledge management are indicators of innovative literacy proficiency at the individual level. Human capital is a subcomponent of intellectual capital and refers to knowledge, skills and experience. Innovative and literate team members should be developed in order to strengthen the intellectual capital structure of an organization.Originality/valueThis study contributes to understanding innovative literacy from an intellectual capital perspective using the Innovative Literacy Scale to reveal important dimensions that influence innovative literacy. Using a measurement tool with new sub-dimensions not included in the extant literature on intellectual capital is unique. This study suggests that scholars should include innovative literacy – a distinct subset of intellectual capital – in their body of knowledge on human capital. Our findings have the potential to help meet the needs of human resource departments, researchers, educational institutions, public institutions and enterprises.

Literacy activities in education hold a crucial position, particularly reading within history education. Addressing literacy challenges encountered in the history learning process at State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Sumenep, there arises a necessity for innovation in implementing school literacy movements. LIRIS stands as an innovative initiative formed by the School Literacy Team (Tim Literasi Sekolah/TLS) at SMAN 1 Sumenep, aimed at addressing literacy challenges by amalgamating literacy processes with research. This research aims to find out the implementation and problems of history learning in the GLS program and find out how LIRIS can be an innovation in literacy activities. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and verification. Findings reveal: (1) GLS implementation in history education generally follows existing guidelines, observable in familiarization, development, and learning stages, yet specifics vary based on classroom conditions and teacher innovation, (2) literacy activity issues in history education arise across student, teacher, and school support aspects, and (3) LIRIS emerges as an innovative literacy activity addressing both general and specific history education challenges, albeit still necessitating evaluation and refinement.

The results achieved from this activity are: (1) The enthusiasm of the PKK of Kelungkung Village for digital marketing innovation literacy activities with various conditions of limited time and age, (2) Can understand and practice how to create a market place account to do online marketing, (3) Can understand material about online marketing strategies, (4) Able to plan a digital marketing business, (5) Able to compile small business performance evaluation management.

Managers to Support the Core Literacy Innovation Strategy of Art Teaching

In the teaching work of higher education, under the guidance of the core quality concept, the external art education pays attention to the cultivation of discipline quality, innovation quality, practical quality, international vision and social responsibility. A Study on the System of Cultivating Core Literacy of Science Education Teacher Trainees Based on the Background of Deep Learning

Abstract This paper aims to develop the IDL-C system to cultivate the professional core literacy of science education teacher trainees through deep learning technology and science education theory. The authors constructed a model for assessing the effectiveness of core literacy development containing multiple algorithms to determine the system’s effectiveness. They conducted an empirical study using the example of Science Education College in S city. The values of teacher trainees in clustering as good and excellent are relatively close to each other, 0.4480 and 0.4246 respectively, and their cultivation effect is approaching from good to excellent, and the total score of the measurement = 0.685 × “Civic and Political Literacy” + 0.411 × “Foundation Literacy” + 0.091 × “Practical Literacy” + 0.111 × “Innovative Literacy”, which is most related to the cultivation of Civic and Political Literacy. The study not only enhances the core literacy of science education teacher trainees, but also promotes the modernization and reform of science education.

The Value and Significance of Design Aesthetics Education in the Information Age

Abstract This study focuses on the innovative teaching mode of design aesthetics education in the information age, and builds a flipped classroom and blended teaching mode of design aesthetics based on MOOC+SPOC platform. The study points out that traditional design aesthetics education needs to integrate modern technology to enhance students’ aesthetic ability and innovation literacy. By conducting teaching experiments in 10 colleges and universities, the results show that students using the blended teaching mode significantly outperform the traditional teaching mode in terms of design aesthetics performance, interest and cognitive learning effects. The study also proposes a personalized recommendation method to effectively promote students’ in-depth learning of design aesthetics. The conclusion emphasizes that design aesthetics education in the information age should focus on technology integration and teaching mode innovation to improve the teaching effect and cultivate design aesthetics talents adapted to the development of the times.

A Literacy Education Model with Commercial Video Games to Address Digital Divide Problem

We propose an innovative Literacy Education Model to address the digital divide problem in contemporary society, focusing on enhancing human literacy through the use of commercial video games and the automatic generation of educational materials. The human literacy model, fundamental to our approach, consists of three layers: the Application layer, the Method layer, and the Concept layer. Each layer is characterized by a specific skill: operation skill in the Application layer, knowledge acquisition skill in the Method layer, and generalization skill in the Concept layer. Our proposed Literacy Education Model is built upon this three-tiered human literacy model and includes a curriculum developed through a six-step process. A distinctive feature of our Literacy Education Model is the integration of commercial video games, which serve as engaging educational tools, and the use of OpenAI API like the Chat-GPT for the automatic generation of educational materials. We developed a rudimentary literacy education tool based on the models. Subjects tried taking the literacy education with the tool in preliminary experiments. We observed a progression as the individual improved their literacy skills and knowledge.

Research on the Teaching Method of College Students’ Education Based on Visual Question Answering Technology

With the changes of the times, visual question answering (VQA) technology has gradually been widely used in many fields, such as intelligent bionic robots, student learning and education, and visual assistance for the disabled. In view of this, the study proposes a method of college student education and teaching system based on VQA technology. First, a multiscale fusion feature method is proposed for the representation of image features, and then an improved mixed attention mechanism is proposed based on this. Solve the network noise problem; finally, introduce the VQA system. The results show that the research method tends to a stable state when the iteration reaches the 28th time, and the corresponding loss function converges to 2.38, which is 0.5% lower than the traditional model; in the application effect analysis, on the data set test-dev, the research model The accuracies of the four types of questions about “total, whether, count, and others” are 69.94%, 86.21%, 50.16%, and 59.61%, respectively; among the example outputs of the VQA dataset, the research model can accurately infer the categories of each target object. Analyzing the change of students’ comprehensive literacy, when the teaching times of the constructed model reach six times, taking students’ enthusiasm as an example, the score ratios of innovation literacy in subjects such as English, mathematics, and Chinese are 96.32, 93.14, and 88.56. The above results all show that the accuracy of the research method is better, and it has better feasibility and effectiveness in the field of education and the teaching of students.

Scaling up a Technology-Based Literacy Innovation: Evolution of the Teacher Professional Development Course

Good teachers are a major predictor of students’ success in school and beyond it. Finding ways to increase the quality of teaching has been a concern for educational systems across various income contexts and, particularly, in the Global South. This paper discusses the iterative design of an online teacher professional development program geared to improving teachers’ English language instruction by means of implementing early literacy software. The program was implemented in various modes (face-to-face, blended and online) with early primary teachers scattered throughout Kenya during the pandemic school closures and after reopening. Relying on the blended learning approach, a potentially effective technology-driven TPD offers multifaceted content, has adaptive and flexible design, and is ongoing until mastery of core concepts is achieved. Further, such solution develops motivational dispositions of teachers about teaching with early literacy software so that its perceived value and the likelihood of success are high, and the benefits outweigh the costs of implementation. The next step of this research is to learn about the specific outcomes of the blended TPD, including changes in literacy instruction and subsequent improvements in student literacy skills.

Bluegrass Biodesign: Why an Integrated Biomedical Engineering Curriculum is Crucial for Medical Education.

Background Medical education often overlooks the significance of design and innovation literacy, resulting in a knowledge gap in undergraduate medical education (UME) regarding formal training in these areas. Incorporating innovation into UME's core curriculum is crucial as future physicians will encounter evolving technologies, and fostering a transdisciplinary approach can enable collaborative problem-solving and improve patient health outcomes. Methodology We developed a comprehensive medical biodesign curriculum focused on innovation, including problem identification, prototype testing, and product commercialization. Participants were selected based on applications, interviews, and diverse criteria. A survey was conducted before and after the program to assess students' biodesign experiences and knowledge, with data analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-tests. Results Of the 41 participants, 24 (58.5%) completed both pre- and post-program surveys. These five-point Likert surveys showed a significant shift frompre-program to responses demonstrating increased "comfort levels in explaining and applying biodesign principles" (p < 0.0001). Specifically, the "comfort level in taking a product to market" increased from 33% to 67% (p = 0.01), while the "comfort level in applying the biodesign process" increased from 29% to 92% (p < 0.0001). Moreover, 58.3% of participants expressed interest in continuing their current projects, and 70.8% of students stated feeling confident in generating ideas and solutions with their team members. Conclusions The medical biodesign curriculum demonstrated success in exposing undergraduate medical and engineering students to the concepts of medical innovation and biodesign. The program has led to a significant improvement in students' knowledge and comfort levels in applying the biodesign process and taking a product to market. The high level of interest and participation in the program highlight the need for incorporating innovative training in UME to foster creativity and prepare future physicians to contribute to the advancements in healthcare.

In the context of globalization and informatization, cultivating the information ability and innovative literacy of university digital talents is of great significance for cultivating talents in supply chain majors. However, some shortcomings remain in the information ability evaluation and innovative literacy cultivation of university talents in the current education system. In this context, this study conducted in-depth research on the information ability evaluation of digital talents in universities and its impact on the cultivation of innovative literacy. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was first adopted to make a quantitative evaluation of the information ability of university digital talents, which aimed to compensate for the shortcomings of existing qualitative evaluation methods. Then, regression models, as well as mediating and moderating effect models, were constructed to deeply analyze the impact of information ability on innovative literacy cultivation, aiming to reveal the complexity of the impact mechanism. This study aimed to provide new perspectives and methods for theory and practice, thereby improving the information ability evaluation system and the innovative literacy cultivation mechanism of digital talents in universities. This study is not only theoretically significant, but it also provides a practical reference for universities in cultivating talents in supply chain major.
