Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penerimaan Bantuan Beasiswa Pada Siswa SMK Menggunakan Metode SMART

Processing of assessment data for determining acceptance of student scholarships at SMK Lentera Bangsa Karawang is still carried out conventionally, namely curriculum, the principal determines several points of assessment criteria for determining students who are eligible to receive a scholarship program, in determine the criteria still using the form and recapitulated by the staff later it will be calculated manually the entire value of the specified criteria points has been determined so that there is often a loss of archives used to make reports. With these problems, it is necessary to have a student assessment information system so that the data collection and recapitulation of student criteria values can be facilitated staff in recapitulating student grades making student grade reports. The research method used to determine the scholarship decision system this is the SMART Method. The SMART method is the method used to assess actions associated with a comparison of importance weights between factors and comparison of several alternative choices. This method will give the results of the weighting of each alternative choice accordingly with many defined criteria, namely income parents, number of siblings, average grades and status of orphans. Alternative choice with the largest weight, is the alternative choice that becomes a recommendation to be eligible to receive the scholarship program. The result of this research is a decision support system for scholarship recipients already has the ability to provide convenience in staff determine the results of the process of calculating the criteria for scholarship recipients.

STUDENT DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING BLOCKCHAIN

Blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the way student information is managed in the education sector. Our report presents the design and implementation of a student information system (SIS) using blockchain technology, which allows students to store and manage their personal and academic information on a decentralized platform. It also enables educators to easily access and verify student data, streamlining the process of enrolment and grading. Results from user studies and technical assessments demonstrate that the system provides a secure and efficient way to store and access student data, while also reducing the workload for educators. Overall, the report highlights the potential of using blockchain technology to improve the management of student education. Based on the results of the Blackbox test, it can be concluded that the purpose of this research has been achieved and designed an information system for managing data for SDN Sumber marga telang students computerized using the PHP programming language and using the Mysql database which can make it easier for staff to manage data and obtain the required information. quality and can assist in the decision-making process

Online Fusion Analysis of Mobile Information System Algorithm Guiding Red Tourism Resource Cloud Sharing and College Students' Education

This paper carefully analyzes the current situation of the current college student education mobile information system, elaborates the business of the system, and proposes solutions according to the existing problems. The final arrangement becomes the business requirement analysis of the whole system. Carrying out red tourism among college students has profound political, cultural and economic significance. Red tourism resources have the characteristics of politics, times, learning, interest and practice. It has a great impact on the ideological and political education of college students. Web-Based Data Information System for Students and Teachers at Al-Qur’an Education Parks in Kasihan, Bantul

Al-Qur’an Kindergarten (TKA) and Al-Qur’an Education Park (TPA) are non-formal religious education institutions emphasizing studying Islamic values. The development of society necessitates institutions that hold TKA/TPA-related information promptly and correctly. Currently, technology is required to aid an institution in maintaining data and providing TKA/TPA-related information. The data information system aims to provide data for the TKA/TPA coordination agency and ensure the implementation of the administrative order to assure the operational and development sustainability of the IT-based TKA/TPA operating regions. This research intends to develop a web-based information system that can handle the data of students and teachers to reduce the number of errors due to manual data management. A web-based application system for student and teacher data information in TPA in Kasihan was developed utilizing the CodeIgniter framework, the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language, the MySQL database, the SDLC method, and the Prototype model. Due to its superiority, the website was selected as the application’s foundation since it is lightweight and could be accessed rapidly using a web browser and an internet or intranet connection to the server. This study has produced a web-based application constructed successfully and could be utilized as a data information system for TPA students and teachers in Bantul.

Teaching Case: Learning Skills of the Data Analytics Lifecycle with Microsoft Power BI and National Parks Data

Like many organizations, the U.S. National Parks Service has done an excellent job of collecting and storing data for years about variables of interest. However, there are steps beyond the collection and storage of data that must be taken to transform that data into valuable information that can inform strategic business decisions. This teaching case introduces students to the data analytics lifecycle and the various processes for preparing data to make decisions. Students gain a familiarity with the leading data analytics software Microsoft Power BI as well as Microsoft Excel and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to inform data-driven decisions. This case is relevant to undergraduate and graduate students in information systems and other disciplines prioritizing data analytics. The case was not developed in conjunction with the National Parks Service; the case uses real-world data made publicly available by the National Parks Service but the narrative and questions posed are fictional.

The Impact of Using Self-Reflection Approach and Academic Advising on Performance of Lower Achieving Students

This is an observational study that aims at identifying students’ behavioral factors that influence their attitude towards learning and the methods used to motivate these students to perform better in their General Foundation Programme (GFP) offered by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Sultanate of Oman. Academic advising and self-reflection approaches were used to motivate students to improve the students’ level. The study is conducted on 17 pre-elementary students. The researchers applied mixed methods approach for this study. The quantitative data includes students’ data retrieved from the Student Information System (SIS) of the institution and a survey to uncover students’ behavioral factors. The qualitative data is derived from a combination of academic advising sessions and a self-reflective approach in which students were encouraged to reflect on their areas of strengths and weaknesses related to their Writing and Speaking skills modules. The researchers have observed several negative behaviors that adversely affect students’ attitudes towards learning which hindered their progression to the next level. The negative attitudes and factors that were noticed include unwillingness to study, coeducation system in HEIs, and poor attendance. The researchers adopted two interventions to help students perform better in their studies namely: academic advising and selfreflection approach. The academic advising sessions gave the researchers an opportunity to know more about the students, counsel, and motivate them towards learning. The self-reflection approach helped familiarize students with the learning outcomes and made them aware of what is required to achieve those learning outcomes. This study will hopefully provide some useful strategies for English Language teachers to motivate and encourage low performers in GFP.

Personal computer usage and teasing among geographic information systems students

This study arose from the observation of teasing among Geographic Information Systems (GIS) students who use personal computers (PCs) during practical sessions. A review of the literature did not provide any informative knowledge on teasing based on PC characteristics. Hence, the study sought to assess the degree of teasing among GIS students, PC characteristics students are frequently teased over, types of teasing, and its positive and negative effects. Students at University of Education in Winneba (UEW), Ghana, provided data on their experiences with analysis employed being multinomial regression, binary logistic regression, the McNemar and Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The findings of the study revealed that students had experienced and engaged in various forms of teasing during GIS sessions. Low processing power of PCs and the brand type were the targets of verbal jokes among students. Teasing during lecture periods resulted in both positive and negative utility, with a greater number of students reporting net positive utility. Although the findings verified the researchers' utilitarian viewpoint, teasing needs to be regulated, as some students exhibited feelings of depression and low self-worth.

An Action Design Research Study on Responsible Innovation Teaching and Training for Information Systems Students

While information systems organizations recognize the importance of incorporating responsible innovation into their activities, they often face difficulty implementing this practice because employees lack the required knowledge and skills, particularly the capacity for reflexivity and reflection. This paper aims to accelerate responsible innovation teaching and training for information systems students to expedite the process of positive change for sustainability. Using the action design research methodology and the responsible innovation lens, we developed a workshop enabling information systems students to form measurable reflection skills. The workshop evaluation suggests that learning took place and that students are willing to adopt responsible innovation in their future workplaces. A set of design guidelines is proposed to guide further training programs to enhance students’ ability to address complex challenges responsibly. This paper answers the call for more impactful information systems research to address societal and environmental challenges and enriches the literature on sustainable social development and business practices.

AUTOMATION OF STUDENTS INFORMATION SYSTEM USING PHP

The faculty members in the college departments maintain the data manually using the hardcopy and a few basic technologies. However, the limitation is that neither the students nor the parents have access to this information. While following the manual system, the staff members contact the parents to inform the grades of their wards, test results and attendance history. This leads to extra consumption of time and employed parents are unable to take time off their busy schedule. This research article is a study on automating the student information system to be accessed outside the organization in order to minimize the time involved and increase the range of accessibility. The system's user interface is simple, and data administration is efficient. The system has four components. Student attendance, result analysis, tracking placement information, and faculty attendance system are among them. Students, HOD’s, and tutors are the users. Results are sent to the students in the PDF format.

MEASURING USABILITY OF ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM USING USE QUESTIONNAIRE : CASE STUDY OF PADANG STATE POLYTECHNIC

The development of website-based information technology has been utilized by the Padang State Polytechnic using the Academic Information System for students. The Academic Information System contains academic information related to majors and students. The purpose of this study is the use of academic information systems by measuring the level of user satisfaction using USE Questionnaire. This study will empirically prove the effect of the independent variables, namely usability, ease of use, and ease of learning on user satisfaction as dependent variable. The data was gathered from 265 respondents and processed it using IBM SPSS version 25 software. This study used multiple linear regression analyses for hypothetical testing. The results indicate that usefulness and ease of use have significant effects on user satisfaction, while ease of learning has no significant effect on user satisfaction.

STUDENT ABSENCE INFORMATION SYSTEM AT PANCUR IDO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL USING RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT METHOD

At Pancur Ido Elementary School, student attendance is written in the attendance book that has been provided by the school management. Student attendance will be filled in by the subject teacher who will then report once a month to the school principal. This system is of course very inefficient and ineffective in monitoring student attendance. Parents of students will also find it difficult to monitor their child's attendance. Based on the results of the analysis, design, and testing of student attendance information system applications as discussed in previous chapters, the authors can conclude: Student Absence Information System is an integrated system that is very important in processing, analyzing, and evaluating as well as supporting decision making to monitor student attendance due to absence data quickly, precisely and efficiently

ViMoIS: The Student Violation Point Monitoring Information System

Although the rules have been enforced, children's behavior in schools often cannot be monitored by parents even when children commit violations. This is because the school has not implemented information system technology for parents to track violations committed by their children in the school. The purpose of this study is to build a violation point information system (ViMoIS) for students so that their recording can be done digitally and can be monitored by parents. The location of study was conducted in one of the High Schools in Gresik. The data collection technique uses the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. The model used to build this system is waterfall starting with three stages of that is, analysis, design, and testing. The results of the study were in the form of a Web-Based Student Violation Point Monitoring Information System (ViMoIS). Based on the results of black box testing that all components in this system run smoothly (success). The existence of a ViMoIS is expected to modernize the process of recording student budgeting so that old people can monitor their children's behavior in schools.

WEB-BASED ONLINE EXAM INFORMATION SYSTEM TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEARNING EVALUATION FOR STUDENTS

Digitalization currently refers to the use of digital-based systems. The design of the online examination system developed in this research is an online exam information system in elementary schools, more specifically for Integrated Islamic boarding schools (SDIT). The purpose of creating this system is to make it easier for students to move on exams quickly and see evaluations and scores of exam results. The creation of this system design begins with analyzing system needs and making system design in business processes, FR tables, use case diagrams, use case text, and class diagrams. Then proceed with creating a database design in ERD, relationships between tables, and table design. Furthermore, user interface design and system testing design were made using the BlackBox system. The result of this information system design is a Web-Based Online Exam Information System for students who can run exams online and display the scores of exams results that student have

PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI DATA SISWA DAN GURU PADA TK DARMA BAKTI DEPOK BERBASIS JAVA

Darma Bakti Kindergarten is one of the levels of early childhood education in the form of formal education that provides educational programs for children with an age range of 4-6 years. Data collection or data management, especially student and teacher data, are currently partly not computerized, namely still recording data in ledgers and some using computerization, namely using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. However, it allows data in the ledger to be prone to loss and tearing, data input errors, repetition of data input (Data Double), loss of data, data searches that take a long time, ineffective data reporting because the reported data process must be typed one by one. first. The purpose of this research is to build a data information system for students and teachers using the Java programming language and MySQL database. At this writing the author uses qualitative methods, and the information system design method used is the waterfall method. With the design of this information system, the problem of data collection in TK Darma Bakti Depok can be resolved.

Exploring Interdisciplinary Collaborative Online Learning Spaces through Sociomateriality in Cape Town, South Africa

With the rapid adoption of online learning spaces since the advent of COVID-19, more and more calls are being made in higher education to move from emergency remote teaching and learning to appropriate online education. Although much has been written about the designing of online learning from both a technological and pedagogical perspective, limited contemporary literature is available to understand the complexity of interdisciplinary collaborative online learning. This limitation is investigated in this paper that reports on the first iteration of a Design-Based Research (DBR) study. Within this iteration, a qualitative exploratory research design that applies an inductive approach between researchers from Information Systems (IS) and Urban Planning (URP) is discussed. The aim was to develop design principles for interdisciplinary collaborative online learning spaces. This paper reports on the data generated during a semester-long, inter-institutional, interdisciplinary student project that was embedded in co-creating social digital innovations for pressing environmental problems faced by marginalised communities in Cape Town, South Africa. The participants for this study are 38 Honours degree IS students and 22 Advanced Diploma URP students (N=60). Participants, individually and in groups, completed a total of three reflective structured questionnaires using Google Forms during the semester that generated the dataset for this paper. The theoretical framing that underpins this research study is sociomateriality. The attraction to sociomateriality is its ability to not merely shift attention from the human to the non-human but rather a focus on entanglements and the interrelated nature of components that constitute the learning space. This focus on entanglements is needed for an understanding of the complexities associated with interdisciplinary collaborative online learning. Engaging this complex learning space through the data has revealed four design principles namely: (1) creating immersive context-sensitive learning experiences, (2) designing opportunities to collaboratively (co)-construct knowledge, (3) focusing on the intra-action of socio-technical and socio-cultural entanglements and (4) foregrounding relationality as a tool to foster agency. It is argued in this paper that the aforementioned design principles are necessary for developing interdisciplinary collaborative online learning spaces that afford students a complex learning experience. Complex learning is considered fundamental in developing abilities in students to appropriately respond to the myriad 21st-century societal challenges that await.

Analysis and redesign of the website user interface of Universitas Faletehan using the design thinking method

The website of Universitas Faletehan as a media for publication of information and documentation as well as one of the student information systems. Currently, several problems have been found on Universitas Faletehan website. Among them are the appearance of the main page that is less organized and less organized, and page navigation that is still empty. For this reason, a design for improving the interface is carried out using the design thinking method. This method is known as a comprehensive thinking process that concentrates on creating a solution that begins with a process of empathy for a particular human-centered need. There are 5 stages in this method, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. The recommended application is built in the form of a prototype using the Figma application. The prototype that was built was successfully tested on 11 respondents by using the System Usability Scale (SUS) test and the application prototype with a score of 60.

Design and Management of Comprehensive Art Student Information Database from the Perspective of Internet plus Education

With the rapid development of information technology and network technology, all kinds of data increase exponentially, and the traditional relational databases cannot handle these data well, which is also reflected in the sharp increase in the number of college students. The amount of students' information is increasing exponentially and the simple management method in the past can no longer meet the needs of the new situation. This paper adopts B/S mode and three-tier architecture and relies on network technology and ASP.NET technology to design and implement the student information management system. The system is divided into eight functional modules: comprehensive information inquiry for students, scholarship evaluation, evaluation and award, economic recognition, student loan management, student violation, communication and feedback, and system management. Different operation interfaces are designed according to four users with different permissions: students, class tutors, college administrators, and student affairs offices. This paper describes the system analysis, design, and implementation in detail. The practice results show that the initial use of the student information database management reflects well and achieves the expected goal. The system is easy to maintain and extensible and has good application value. The operation of the system has greatly improved the management efficiency of student affairs and enabled the student affairs administrators to complete various student affairs more efficiently. Campus information construction is becoming an important part of the overall construction of colleges and universities, and it is also a basic and continuous work. Accelerating the establishment of a set of comprehensive, perfect, and efficient student comprehensive management information systems is an urgent need to promote the modernization of college student management. The modernization, informatization, and standardization of college student management are a complex systematic project. Only by relying on modern information technology can we cope with the base pressure brought by the continuous enrollment expansion of college students, promote the flat and intensive utilization of college management information, and improve the efficiency and quality of service.
