Leading Global Cities In The Russian-Language Segment Of Internet: How Do They Look Like At The Beginning Of The 21st Century?

In the XXI century, the factors of the development of megacities are changing rapidly, the competitiveness of which increasingly depends on their image in different social environments. The purpose of the study is to identify main common features of the current image of the leading global cities (London, Paris, New York and Tokyo) in the Russian–language segment of the Internet (Runet). The research was based on a combination of methods of socio-economic geography, quantitative and qualitative methods of sociology. To reflect the objective reality of megacities, international statistics were used; to assess the role of Internet information resources influencing the formation of the image, the number of search queries in Runet and the context of publications about cities in social media were analyzed; to identify the configuration of the image, the data of a sociological survey were studied. It was revealed that the perception of megacities in Runet is based on a comparable volume of information flow in social networks (the number of published messages is 20 thousand per day for Paris and London, 15 thousand for New York, 4 thousand for Tokyo) and on similarity of publications’ context (2/5 are in the categories “entertainment” and “personality”). Despite certain limitations of the methods used and the relevance of the digital artifacts obtained, the image structure of the centers under consideration is characterized by the predominance of objective over subjective and cognitive (knowledge and ideas about “physical” givens) over affective (emotions, feelings, sensations) components with the key role of four collective categories: common features of large cities, idealized imagery of the country, prestigious urban locations and world architectural brands; as well as high stability in time and space. The continuation of research based on the proposed principles, while improving the methodology and involving cities of different classes, will contribute to the adaptation of foreign experience in designing of images of ambitious Russian cities in the face of new global challenges.

Nonlinear effects of digital development on manufacturing innovation: evidence from China

ABSTRACT The digital economy has brought innovative power to the manufacturing transformation. This study aims to investigate the nonlinear effects of digital development on manufacturing innovation using provincial panel data from China from 2011 to 2018. A two-way fixed effects model is used to examine the inverted U-shaped curve that represents the nonlinear impact of digital development on innovation. To explore the reasons behind the nonlinear digital innovation spillover, this study considered both the internal factors and external boundary conditions. We employ a moderation effect model to verify the interaction between digital development and user literacy which has a positive impact on manufacturing innovation. Especially, higher education can help users enhance digital literacy in driving digital innovation spillovers. Threshold effect model is used to examine the boundary conditions such as Internet penetration rate, information resources, and protection of intellectual property rights that contribute to the nonlinear effects. The research findings suggest that when these factors reach a critical point, the positive impact of the digital economy on manufacturing innovation turns towards a declining trend. The study provides insights into the complex relationship between digital development and manufacturing innovation and proposes policy implications.

Identification of the pedagogical potential of Internet socialization of youth in the international professional community

Introduction. The dynamic development of new forms of socialization of young people actualizes the need of the educational society to realize the pedagogical potential of Internet socialization of students in the international professional community. The realization of this potential will make it possible to rethink the pedagogical significance of professionally-oriented Internet networks and to identify the features of the organization of various types of professional practices on the Internet. The purpose of the study is to analyze the pedagogical potential of Internet socialization of youth in the international professional community in order to clarify the conceptual apparatus of professional pedagogy focused on the use of Internet technologies. Materials and methods. To analyze world-class publications on the research topic, the following bibliographic bases were used: Scopus, Web of Science, Lens and other international information systems of peer-reviewed scientific literature. To solve the research tasks, the following methods were used: system analysis, analysis of Internet information resources, classification, comparative analysis and questionnaires. The results of the study. Digital technologies for the Internet socialization of youth in the international professional community were analyzed. The features of the organization of various types of professional practices using the Internet were identified, which served as the basis for choosing the optimal directions for comparative analysis of internships using Internet technologies. A comparative analysis of the traditional form of internship and practice using Internet technologies was presented, taking into account the following criteria: the purpose of internship in the Internet, the process (stages) of internship, professional and value orientations, new Internet technologies of internship, subjects of the practice and educational process, administrative management. The results of the search and critical rethinking of the pedagogical potential of Internet socialization of students in the international professional community were presented, which made it possible to use theoretical research to clarify the conceptual apparatus of professional pedagogy focused on the use of professionally-oriented Internet technologies during various types of professional practices. Conclusion. The presented analysis made it possible to identify and substantiate the pedagogical potential of Internet socialization of youth in the international professional community, namely: new opportunities for expanding professional ties, access to professionally-oriented resources and information, mechanisms for improving the future professional profile and reputation of students. The potential and possibility of organizing educational and industrial practice on the Internet (freelance, online internships, online practices, etc.) were considered, the possible structure of the pedagogical system of Internet socialization of youth in the international professional community was substantiated.

Strategy for update of theory and practice of basketball teaching in institutions of higher education

The reform of basketball education in higher education institutions is an important part of modern curricular innovations for higher education students. Basketball is very popular among students in higher education institutions because of its strong teamwork, emotional, active, and recreational nature. Currently, there are still some problems in the basketball education system, both in the methodology and content of education and in the practice of evaluating the effectiveness of that education on students. The specifics of instruction, such as curriculum, sports facilities, and national policies regarding student sports, have a certain impact on certain components of reform of the basketball education system. The purpose of this study is to systematize the influencing factors and trends in the development of student basketball in order to formulate key provisions for strategies to update the theory and practice of basketball education in higher education institutions. Materials and methods of research. To determine the set research objectives, we used the following methods: analysis and generalization of data from special scientific and methodological literature, monitoring of Internet information resources, methods of systematization, content analysis. Results. The obtained data define the research strategy of the main provisions on updating the theory and practice of basketball coaching in higher education institutions, fill in the content and structure of the reform system of basketball coaching in higher education institutions, update system of theory and practice of basketball coaching in physical training practice The results of the study provided the theoretical basis for the conceptualization of the system of basketball coaching theory and practice in physical training practice. Conclusion. The obtained results made it possible to extract and present in the paper the characteristics of the first element of the theoretical basis of the strategy of updating the theory and practice of basketball coaching in institutions of higher education.

Substantiation of preventive means of desynchronization in the practice of training athletes in game sports

Traveling athletes experience fatigue from flights and time zone changes, which increases their subjective burden and can affect their sports performance, increase the risk of illness and injury. Literature sources on the prevention of desynchronization from flights and time zone changes in athletes are limited, which determines the relevance of the study. The purpose of this study is to determine the initial provisions of substantiation of preventive means of desynchronization in the practice of training athletes in game sports. Materials and methods of research. To determine the set research objectives, we used the following methods: analysis and generalization of data from special scientific and methodological lit erature, monitoring of Internet information resources, methods of systematization, content analysis, Sociological research methods (interview, questionnaire). Results. Based on available theoretical and methodological physiological principles and results of practical researches we made an attempt to substantiate the problem of desynchronization and the necessity of its prevention among sportsmen specializing in sports games. Conclusions. The obtained results made it possible to define and present in the article the basic bases of substantiation of preventive means of desynchronization in the practice of training of sportsmen in game sports.

Research and Solution of Educational Inequality in Rural Areas - Based on Gini Coefficient Analysis

Based on the Gini Index of educational inequality, China's educational development level is progressing steadily and remarkable achievements have been made. However, the gap between urban and rural education has been expanding, and the gap between urban and rural education development has become the most important factor affecting the educational inequality of the country and provinces. Based on the consideration of history, gender, family income and other factors as well as case analysis, this paper proposes the following solutions: (1) Make full use of the Internet and other information resources in the teaching process; (2) Rural children can conduct reasonable exchanges and visits to urban children; (3) Matching urban and rural assistance; (4) Increase the attraction of voluntary education. Although nowadays, rural education and higher education in China become more and more popular but education inequality exists in detail. Moreover, solutions should be put into effect multiaspectly. In the process of urban and rural development, the study of educational inequality is conducive to solving the mental health problems of rural students and urban students. It can also improve the ability of rural students and urban students to live independently outside and adapt to the environment, so as to reduce the living economic cost as much as possible and enlarge the social benefits at the same time.

СУЧАСНИЙ СТАН СФЕРИ ФІЗИЧНОЇ КУЛЬТУРИ І СПОРТУ В УКРАЇНІ

The article emphasizes that the state, the most important problems and prospects for the development of the sphere of physical culture and sports are determined by external and internal factors that directly or indirectly affect specific quantitative and qualitative indicators of its functioning. The modern market socio-economic system of Ukraine contributes to the formation and development of the main components of the market of physical culture and sports services. One of the foundations of the state policy in the field of physical culture and sports is to provide conditions for supporting the areas of physical culture and sports. The formation and implementation of state policy in the field provides a list of indicators of the state of development of physical culture and sports, namely, indicators of the level: physical health of different population groups; attracting citizens to mass sports; involvement of persons with disabilities in physical education and sports rehabilitation; attraction of children and youth, including children and youth with disabilities, to classes in children’s and youth sports schools; achievements of Ukrainian athletes at international sports competitions, primarily the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games, the Global Games for Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities, the World Games in non-Olympic sports; staffing in the sphere of physical culture and sports; financial and logistical support of the sphere of physical culture and sports; creation of conditions for access of persons with disabilities to sports facilities. These indicators are taken into account to monitor the state of development of physical culture and sports and to develop programs for its development both at the state and regional levels. A systematic analysis of the state of the sphere of physical culture and sports contributes to the optimization of the selected parameters and indicators using the socio-economic mechanism for the development of physical culture and sports services, the effectiveness of managing the physical culture and sports movement, which confirms the relevance of this study. Materials and Methods. The following methods were used in the study: analysis of scientific literature and documentary sources, Internet information resources, statistical data; advanced domestic experience; combination of logical and historical analysis; system analysis; methods of mathematical statistics. The main indicators of functioning and development of the sphere of physical culture and sports for the last 3 years are subject to analysis. Discussion. The current reporting system in Ukraine on the main indicators of health-improving and sports activities of certain subjects according to the reporting form № 2-FK (annual) is characterized. The authors noted the lack of an effective system of control over the activities of private physical culture and sports organizations, as well as representatives of the public sector, which affects the objectivity of information. The system of balanced indicators, which allow assessing the level of development of both the system as a whole and the degree of achievement of individual goals, should be formed depending on the strategic goals of the social policy of the country, region, territorial community and considered according to the criteria of socio-economic efficiency, consumer efficiency, internal mechanism of functioning as well as infrastructure. In the field of physical culture and sports, the integral indicator should reflect the degree of its influence on the achievement of universal global socio-economic goals with a socio-economic effect. Today, the system of functioning of the sphere of physical culture and sports can be represented in terms of indicators that characterize quantitative changes in the development of physical culture and sports proper (the number of people involved, sports facilities, the volume and structure of financing, etc.). The indicators of the second group characterize the degree of influence of the sphere of physical culture and sports on the achievement of social and economic goals facing the society. Results. The development of the sphere of physical culture and sports is possible when positioning it as a large, complex, dynamic, probabilistic and selforganizing system, in the management of which the principles of consistency, integrity, complexity and hierarchy, synergy and emergence, structuredness, balance of centralized and centralized are applied. An effective system of state management of physical culture and sports implies a clear distribution of areas of responsibility of its various subjects for individual components of the system, for the achievement of operational and strategic goals of its functioning. An important condition for the implementation of this principle is convenient, from a managerial point of view, quantitative information using the latest IT technologies and the transition to digital interaction. In order to improve the efficiency of the physical culture and sports management system using the principles of the balanced characteristics system, it is necessary to improve the organizational and managerial model of sports organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, and a unified reporting system on their activities.

Recent Trends in Physiotherapy Learning Resources and Stakeholder Perceptions – a Case Study

The educational methodology has evolved rapidly over the past decades. The library plays a significant role in information gathering and sharing among users. The tools of Information and Communication Technology ICT like the Internet and electronic information resources and their use are common and popular due to their easy accessibility and multi-modal presentation which appeals to various learners. These tools have also significantly impacted the academic activities of faculty members researchers students and other health sciences professionals. A significant transition is seen in users approach to and seeking information. In such an academic environment our College of Physiotherapy has undertaken to provide a large number of electronic resources over the past five years. This case study attempts to explore the perceptions of students faculty and research scholars on these resources using a questionnaire modified from a published source. The questionnaire was administered to all the college students and faculty and the responses were categorized and described. Overall the perceptions of e-learning resources were positive among students with PG students being more likely to use them

The full-scale deployment of the Starlink global satellite system has opened up wide opportunities for high-speed wireless access to Internet information resources throughout the Earth. In such conditions, the problem of user control over the provided traffic arises. This is due to the fact that the organizational and technical parameters of the Starlink system were initially chosen with the condition of minimizing mutual interference to subscribers located in limited areas. On the one hand, such a system opens up the prospect of access to the global network for subscribers located in remote, industrially unequipped areas of the globe, and on the other hand, the possibility of organizing communications for illegitimate users and the right of criminal organizations. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how accessible the communication channels organized by the Starlink system are for monitoring. Taking into account these circumstances, the purpose of the study, the materials of which are presented in this article, was to assess the probability of electromagnetic availability of subscribers of the Starlink global satellite system. Based on the analysis of the operational and technical characteristics of the Starlink system in available sources, the features of its construction were considered and the initial data were determined for the development of a method for the electromagnetic availability of radio emission sources operating in the Ku / K-frequency bands. The methodology is based on calculations of the provided excess of signal power over noise power at the input of the radio receiver, which ensures the required quality and reliability of reception. The stages of the methodology are substantiated, the analytical apparatus is modified, taking into account the conditions of monitoring. The results of calculating the electromagnetic availability of radio emission sources of the Starlink global satellite system for the most difficult case, when the subscriber terminal is located at the nadir of the spacecraft coverage area and at the same time in the center of the beam formed on the subscriber, are presented. Probabilistic estimates are obtained and proposals and recommendations are formulated to improve the reliability and quality of the ongoing monitoring. Conclusions and proposals for the practical implementation of the results obtained are formulated.

Shaping the future of agricultural economy

We developed a conceptual model , an algorithm and Internet resources for information and communication support of financial resources mobilization , cooperation and subordination to ensure efficient centralized relationship management . The case of the flax production industry shows that it can make a big difference when , driven by the state , an incentive is given not to the economic interest of individual companies , but to the efficiency of their interaction , the required , recommended and acceptable actions are taken with embedded business solutions to counteract the antagonistic profit-seeking game .

Possibilities of applying the criteria of the Quality Award of the government of the Russian Federation to improve the quality of medical care

Introduction. Quality management closely relates to the search for the most effective tools for the development of institutions. Understanding the immanent focus of commercial structures on continuous quality improvement, public sector medical institutions need to pay more attention to modern mechanisms for the formation of competitive advantages. Purpose. Analysis of the experience of applying the criteria of self-assessment of the Award of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of quality in a medical management. Material and methods. Analysis of open sources of literature of scientific electronic libraries, regulatory documents and information Internet resources of the laureates of the Award of the Russian Federation in 2015-2019. Some aspects are considered on the example of the Research Institute of Complex Problems of Cardiovascular Diseases in Kemerovo. Results. In 2019, the number of participants in the competition for the Government Award of the Russian Federation in the field of quality increased significantly by more than 200 institutions of various profiles. In the course of the study, the management of the institutions’ activities was found to be based on the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001-2015 for most of the laureate institutions. The article presents the author’s vision of the significance of the Government Award in the field of quality in the development of the management system of a medical institution and illustrates options for the development of a medical institution. Limitations. The study used data from 56 Prizewinners of the Russian Federation; the clinic has 160 beds, which provides about 8000 patients per year. Conclusions. The award can be used by medical organizations for the purpose of self-assessment of internal processes for compliance with international quality standards, increasing competitiveness and attractiveness for the consumer.

The necessity of using information technologies in teaching a foreign language is considered. It is explained why it is important for a specialist in the field of education to navigate the Internet space. The main distinguishing features of a multimedia interactive computer environment, the capabilities of modern computer and communication technologies, the criteria characteristic of the computer environment, the possibilities of the Internet space in education are revealed. didactic properties of information and communication technologies, such as: a) multilingualism and multiculturalism of information Internet resources; b) multi-level information Internet re-sources; c) variety of functional types of Internet resources; d) multimedia resources; e) hypertext structure of documents; f) the possibility of creating a personal zone of the user; g) the possibility of organizing synchronous and asynchronous communication; h) the possibility of automating the processes of information and methodological support and organizing the management of educational activities of students and its control. These functions will significantly enrich the language and cultural practice of students, as well as create conditions for the development of skills for independent learning activities of students, the implementation of pedagogical learning technology in cooperation, development of an individual educational trajectory. Two main approaches to online learning (synchronous and asynchronous) and their main advantages and disadvantages are considered. Examples are given of how online resources can be used in teaching, which helps to increase the level of motivation in children and greatly helps the teacher in preparing for training sessions.

Reform and Innovation of College English Teaching under Internet + Environment

INFORMATION INTERNET RESOURCES IN THE SYSTEM OF PROVISION OF TRANSPARENCY OF PUBLIC AND LOCAL FINANCES

The use of Internet information resources has become an integral part of the effective implementation of the principles of publicity and transparency of financial relations at the level of public, local, corporate and personal finance. The need for transparency of financial relations and the main goals of its implementation are enshrined in the Strategy for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitization of Public Financial Management until 2025 and approval of the action plan for its implementation, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on November 17, 2021. This determines the relevance of research in this area. The aim of the work is to study the current state of implementation of digital technologies and resources aimed at ensuring the transparency of financial relations at the public and local levels. The article analyzes recent research and publications on the use of digital information technologies and resources in ensuring the transparency of financial relations and found that most researchers consider digital Internet resources as a key factor in implementing such transparency at the public and local levels. The analysis showed that the most widespread in Ukraine is the use of Internet information resources in the field of transparency of the budget process, taxation, and transparency of local finances. Today, the official source of public finance at the state and local levels is the web portal "Open budget", which was launched in 2018 at the initiative of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. The work also covered the activities of the official state web portal "Spending", which covers data on the targeted use of budget funds. The functional capabilities of the electronic office of the taxpayer are considered, which allows for an increase in the level of transparency in the tax sphere. The functional features and content of the website of Transparency International Ukraine, which is accredited by the global movement Transparency International and the information resource "Search and Analytical System .007", allows obtaining open data revealing the use of public funds, were also analyzed.

Разработка концепции управления транснационализацией сельского хозяйства стран ЕАЭС в контексте включения в мировую агропродовольственную систему

Abstract. The purpose of the study is to study and analyze the transnationalization of agriculture in relation to the agri-food sector of the EAEU countries. Scientific novelty. The developed conceptual framework for managing the transnationalization of agriculture will ensure equivalent shares in the structure of the common market for the EAEU members, intensify the processes of establishing business communication and joint production activities that will improve the situation on the labor market in the agricultural sector, accelerate the implementation of investment projects, carry out R&D aimed at improvement of the economic situation in the industry. Methods. Research based on a systematic approach to the studied objects and processes. In course of the work, economic-mathematical, normative, abstract-logical, monographic, expert and other methods of economic research were used. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research was scientific works, developments and recommendations of domestic and foreign scientists-economists on the problems of forecasting and planning, legislative acts, program documents and government resolutions on the effective and sustainable development of agricultural formations. The formation of the research information base was carried out on the basis of statistical data on the dynamics of agricultural indicators published in official statistical publications and yearbooks, on official websites of information Internet resources for 1998–2020. Results. The studies made it possible to identify factors in the development of agriculture in the context of transnationalization, taking into account the problems of integration of countries in the EAEU space, to establish the dependence of the development of the industry on an effective program of adaptation of organizations to new economic conditions, which should take into account a complex of political, economic and other factors affecting the efficiency of activities.

The impact of internet development on the health of Chinese residents: Transmission mechanisms and empirical tests

The development of internet information technology has promoted the integration of modern information technology with medical treatment. Chinese interprovincial panel data from 2006 to 2017 are used to study the impact of internet development on the health of Chinese residents. Specifically, this paper builds a system for evaluating four dimensions of internet development (internet popularity, internet infrastructure, internet information resources, and internet applications) and uses the entropy method to calculate and analyze China's internet development level. The OLS, FGLS and IV models are used to analyze the impact of internet development on the health of Chinese residents. The regional heterogeneity of the impact of internet development on the health of Chinese residents is studied in the three major regions, i.e., eastern, central and western China. The transmission mechanisms through which internet development affects residents' health were also investigated. Study results show that the development of the Internet significantly suppresses the mortality rate and improves residents' health. In addition, the development of the Internet can further reduce the mortality rate by promoting the development of science and technology, education, medicine, urbanization and openness.

Accuracy and Reliability of Internet Resources for Information on Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance-What Information Is out There for Our Patients?

Simple SummaryIn the current analysis, we provide a comprehensive evaluation of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS)-related health information available online. An analysis of general and patient- (user-) focused quality, readability, and content of websites and videos was performed. It revealed a generally medium to low quality of internet resources. Therefore, understandability, informative value, and support in a decision-making process can be attributed to single websites/videos only. Our study clearly highlights the risk of misinformation by insufficient, incorrect, misleading, and out-of-date information. Knowing what content is assessable to patients online may help clinicians to educate their patients and actively address misinformation.Background: Online information gathering can increase patients’ engagement in decision-making. The quality of online resources available for monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) was evaluated. Methods: 900 websites from Google, Bing, Yahoo, and 150 YouTube videos were assessed. Results: The websites did not differ regarding their search rank or between the search engines. The median time since last update was 24 months. The 86 unique websites showed a medium to poor general quality (JAMA score 3/4, only 8.1% websites with a valid HON certificate). The patient- (user-) focused quality was poor (sum DISCERN score 27/80 points). The reading level was difficult (11th US school grade). The content level was very low (13/50 points). 12.8% of websites contained misleading/wrong facts. Websites provided by scientific/governmental organizations had a higher content level. For the 61 unique videos, the median time since upload was 34 months. The videos showed a medium general quality (HON Foundation score). The patient- (user-) focused quality was poor (sum DISCERN score 24 points). The content level was very low (6 points). Conclusion: MGUS-relevant online sources showed a low quality that was provided on a high reading level. Incorporation of quality indices and regular review of online content is warranted.

Cloud Trust-Driven Hierarchical Sharing Method of Internet of Things Information Resources

Short information sharing time is one of the problems to be solved in the traditional Internet. Therefore, this paper proposes a hierarchical simulation of the Internet of Things sharing structure framework that trusts the cloud to drive Internet information resource sharing. By setting thresholds and iterative adjustment parameters, a complementary judgment matrix is constructed to obtain the minimum nonnegative deviation value and the optimal weight vector. This paper sorts according to the value of the Internet information security model, obtains the optimal model to avoid human tampering, and designs the information resource acquisition process to ensure the reliability of the source data. We use radio frequency identification (RFID) equipment in the preprocessing of massive heterogeneous data in the Internet of Things. In a network environment where resources are limited and heterogeneous are fully considered, the trust-based adaptive detection algorithm is used to evaluate the credibility of the trust-driven algorithm for hierarchical information resource sharing services in the cloud environment of the Internet of Things. We propose a cloud trust-driven hierarchical information resource sharing Internet information resource model. Firstly, the key characteristics of hierarchical information resource sharing are analyzed. Then, a hierarchical information resource sharing model was established by using specific constraints, trust steepness function, cloud trust evaluation criteria, and trust constraint coefficient. Finally, an example of IoT system is designed to verify the effectiveness of the model. Experimental results show that, compared with the traditional model or algorithm, this model has a good hierarchical sharing effect of the underlying resource information.

Determinants of internet-based resources for sex education among in-school and out-of-school adolescents in Kogi State, Nigeria

Sex education is a vital aspect of health education. It provides factual knowledge to assist adolescents to avoid sex related problems. Due to the sensitive nature of sex education many adolescents rely on internet resources for information on sex education because it offers information in a confidential manner. The study assessed and compared the determinants of internet based resources for sex education among in and out of school adolescents in Kogi State. The study was comparative cross-sectional in nature and involved comparison of selected in and out of school adolescents in Okene. Data was collected from 600 adolescents. Multistage sampling technique was used to select the required study subjects. Simple frequencies, chi-square and multivariate analysis were carried out. The mean age for in-school adolescents was 14.52± 2.17 years, while the mean age for out-of-school adolescents was 17.19± 1.54 years. Prevalence of internet use for sex education among the in-school adolescents was 41 and 59.2% for the out-of-school adolescents. The most searched sex education topic among in-school adolescents was sexual activities (73.5%) while sexual abuse (75.8%) was the most searched sex education topic among out-of-school adolescents. The determinants of use of internet-based resources for sex education among the in and out-of-school adolescents were curiosity, religiosity and less information from teachers. The study concluded that internet use for sex education is more prevalent among out of school adolescents compared to their in-school counterpart. Digitalization and Energy: How Does Internet Development Affect China’s Energy Consumption?

Internet technology has broken the boundaries of traditional geographical space, greatly shortened the space-time distance between regions, and maximized the integration of various resources. Therefore, in the era of the digital economy, the rapid development of network information technology, the energy internet and other new forms of the network economy may affect energy consumption. This paper mainly studies how internet development affects China's energy consumption and the associated transmission mechanism. Specifically, this paper constructs an evaluation system of China's internet development level from four perspectives: internet popularity, internet infrastructure, internet information resources and internet application. On this basis, the relationship between internet development and China's energy consumption is investigated and found to be significantly positive; moreover, internet development promotes the energy consumption scale through economic growth. The relationship between internet development and the energy consumption structure is significantly negative, and internet development affects the energy consumption structure through economic growth, R&D investment, human capital, financial development, and the industrial structure. Interestingly, there is also empirical evidence that the nexus of internet development and energy consumption intensity is significantly negative, and internet development helps to accelerate the decline in energy consumption intensity through economic growth, R&D investment, human capital, financial development, and industrial structural upgrading.
