Magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator as a power supply for the temperature sensor

The combination of new intelligent materials and structure technology is becoming an effective way in energy havesting and self-powered sensing. In this work, we demonstrate a magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator, which does not use complex structure and has high steady output performance. It includes three parts: magnetically levitated generator (MLG), piezoelectric generator (PNG), triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG). The peak power of each is 135 μW, 22 mW and 3.6 mW, which are obtained at 1 MΩ, 10 kΩ and 1 kΩ, respectively. The hybrid generator can completely light up light-emitting diodes (LEDs) under the vibration frequency of 20 Hz and the vibration amplitude of 10 mm. It also can charge a 470 μF capacitor. On this basis, we have integrated the hybrid generaor as a power supply into a self-powered tempreature sensing system. The combination of three generators can not only broaden the operating range, but also increase the operating length and sensitivity. This work will extend the application of self-powered sensor in automatic production line and promote the development of industrial control technology.

Research on Control Technology of Concentrated Coal Mine Rail Transport Intelligence

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Based on a matrix of interlocking control strategy, industrial plc control technology, field bus communication technology of mine shaft orbit transportation intelligent centralized control technology and implementation method are introduced in this paper. Line operation using the multi section partition method to draw intuitive control strategy, simplifying the interlock logic, to realize the intelligent management and dispatching of the railway train, improve transport efficiency; application of plc and fieldbus technology improves the stability and reliability of the system operation, convenient underground site operation personnel and ground remote scheduling scheduling staff to keep abreast of the train running state, issued instruction scheduling, to ensure the smooth of mine transportation operation. Promote the automation and intelligent development of coal transportation, to improve the level of information technology in coal mine production scheduling, decision-making is of great significance.</span></p>

2D Temperature Detection Characteristics of Engine Exhaust Gases Using CT Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy

Two dimensional (2D) temperature and concentration distribution is related to the combustion structure, the combustor efficiency in engines, burners, gas turbines and so on. Recently, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) as a multi-species measurement technique with high sensitivity and high response has been developed and applied to industrial process monitoring and control technologies in combustion environments. With these engineering developments, transient phenomena such as start-ups and load changes in engines have been gradually elucidated in various conditions. This paper discusses a study of the fast response 2D temperature distribution measurement method based on the combination of TDLAS and Computed Tomographic (CT) reconstruction using absorption spectra of water vapor at 1388nm. The computed tomography tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (CTTDLAS) method was appliedtoengine exhausts for 2D temperature distribution measurements. The measured 2D temperature showed better characteristics compared with the temperature measured by a thermocouple. Theoretical H2O absorption spectra in the 1388 nm near-infrared region calculated by the revised HITRAN database were used for temperature measurement. For accurate measurement of temperature in combustion gases, the spectroscopic databases were modified using experimentally measured spectral parameters that are not found in the databases. Accuracy of temperature measurement using TDLAS have also been discussed to demonstrate its applicability to various types of combustor.

Two Degree of Freedom Model Driven PID Control for Unstable Process with Time Delays

PID control systems are the most commonly used control technology in industries. However, there are issues on control performances for the unstable process with time delays. In order to improve the control performances of PID control systems, a new two degree of freedom model driven PID control system is introduced in this paper and it is used to the unstable processes with time delay. The model driven PID control is capable of stabilizing with unstable processes by using PD feedback, regulating quickly for disturbance and tracking quickly to the change of set point. With case studies comparing with conventional PID control systems was done.

The Design of Rolling Mills’ Automatic Control System Based on PLC

The rolling mill is a kind of mechanical equipment which rolls steel ingot or billet continuously into steel. This paper selected 1150 blooming mill as research subject. In order to realize the automatic control of 1150 blooming mill, hydraulic screw-down devices and the automatic control system of hydraulic screw-down position are used, and Siemens PLC is chose as the control system's main control unit. Then industrial control technologies are used, such as DC digital controller, touch screen, photoelectric-interrupter type position sensor.

Development of Full-Automatic Flap Disc Production Machine Based on PLC Control System

This paper designed a control system for the full-automatic flap disc production machine, the whole control system was designed based on high-performance PLC of Mitsubishi Q series, QD75P positioning module, servo motor of Mitsubishi HF series and other advanced industrial control technology. The control system realizes the target of precise positioning and high-speed responding, and the hardware and software of control system has a stable performance.

The Realization of Communication Interface Module for Dynamic Belt Weighting Device in Transporting Unit of Biomass Pyrolytic System

With the full study of industrial process control technology for thermal, chemical industry, the application process, the FCS system of biomass pyrolysis unit was development combined with the actual. Feeding system uses the weighing system of dynamic belt with an advanced embedded technology. The computing speed and accuracy, data processing compared with traditional electronic belt scale, information exchange, integration, reliability and stability will be greatly improved. The technology shall be constantly upgraded and vigorously promoted. This paper introduces the control system based on Profibus-DP communication interface module of belt weighting device in transporting unit biomass pyrolysis system. Taking a PC, as a single master station system, and the data is transmitted from the master station to the slave station through the communication card. At the same time, the MCU+SPC3 are used to design the hardware interface circuit from the station. The mechanism of data polling transmission between a master and slave is conducted. Communication protocol of Profibus-DP is analyzed, and then, GSD file is compiled.

Structural Design for Dynamic Roller Device in Transporting Unit of Biomass Pyrolytic System

Feeding system uses the weighing system of dynamic belt with an advanced embedded technology. The computing speed and accuracy, data processing compared with traditional electronic belt scale, information exchange, integration, reliability and stability will be greatly improved. The technology shall be constantly upgraded and vigorously promoted. The frame structures of dynamic roller were various in forms. Different systems can be used to the frame with different scale structures. The suspension of multi-scale frame of the roller was used widely currently. The modeling and structural optimization of the frames in reasonable scale were designed with reducing the use of metal materials, optimizing the overall performance of mechanical systems and improving the weighing accuracy. The analysis of dynamic roller in scale weighing and speed principle, the establishment of a multi-roller single floating frame structure of the scale model and the analysis of the roller of the force were built. The verification in final design through the ANSYS software is reasonable.

An implementation methodology for the supervisory control of flexible manufacturing workcells

The anticipated use of autonomous flexible manufacturing workcells in the near future has encouraged recent research efforts on the development of automatic supervisory-control methodologies. However, despite intensive research on the theoretical aspects of the control of flexible manufacturing workcells, modeled as discrete event systems (DESs), relatively little research has been reported on procedures for the implementation of DES-based supervisory controllers. In this paper, a generalized implementation methodology, which utilizes recent theoretical advances in conjunction with programmable logic controller (PLC) technology, is presented. The two primary advantages of the proposed methodology are: (1) the utilization of control strategies, synthesized within a formal theoretical framework, that can be efficiently generated on-line and (2) the use of PLCs, which are currently the most suitable and widely employed industrial process control technology.

Semiconductor manufacturing: an introduction to processes and hazards.

Recent studies suggest that semiconductor workers have an increased incidence of work-related illness. Semiconductor manufacturing is a chemically intensive industry involving many potentially hazardous operations. As this industry moves into new geographic areas, health care professionals will be asked to evaluate medical or workplace conditions associated with unfamiliar and complex production processes. This paper provides an overview of semiconductor manufacturing processes for these health practitioners. Each step of device fabrication is detailed with its attendant chemical and physical hazards. Broader concepts of industrial control technology, clean room ventilation, and ergonomics are explained. The hazards are tabulated to allow rapid assessment of the risks inherent to each processing step. References have been chosen to guide the reader to more indepth information.

Industrial Hygiene and Control Technology Assessment of Ion Implantation Operations

Ion implantation is a process used to create the functional units (pn junctions) of integrated circuits, photovoltaic (solar) cells and other semiconductor devices. During the process, ions of an impurity or a "dopant" material are created, accelerated and imbedded in wafers of silicon. Workers responsible for implantation equipment are believed to be at risk from exposure to both chemical (dopant compounds) and physical (ionizing radiation) agents. In an effort to characterize the chemical exposures, monitoring for chemical hazards was conducted near eleven ion implanters at three integrated circuit facilities, while ionizing radiation was monitored near four of these units at two of the facilities. The workplace monitoring suggests that ion implantation operators routinely are exposed to low-level concentrations of dopants. Although the exact nature of dopant compounds released to the work environment was not determined, area and personal samples taken during normal operating activities found concentrations of arsenic, boron and phosphorous below OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) for related compounds; area samples collected during implanter maintenance activities suggest that a potential exists for more serious exposures. The results of badge dosimetry monitoring for ionizing radiation indicate that serious exposures are unlikely to occur while engineering controls remain intact. All emissions were detected at levels unlikely to result in exposures above the OSHA standard for the whole body (1.25 rems per calendar quarter). The success of existing controls in preventing worker exposures is discussed. Particular emphasis is given to the differential exposures likely to be experienced by operators and maintenance personnel.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
