Project-Based Indonesian Language Course Innovation to Improve Student's Critical Thinking

This research aims to develop and assess the feasibility of project-based Indonesian language textbooks in enhancing critical thinking among Medan State University students. Following the 4-D model of Research & Development, the process involves analysis, textbook design, material development, and dissemination. Needs analysis includes front-end and material design analyses to formulate learning objectives. The design stage entails compiling project-based learning materials, selecting media, and designing the book's specifications. In the development stage, textbooks are produced and validated by experts, with validation results exceeding 87% for both material and media. Dissemination involves distributing the textbooks to students to test practicality, resulting in a practicality test score of 87.74%. Validation and implementation scores indicate "very feasible" status without the need for revision. Consequently, the project-based Indonesian language course innovation is deemed "valid" and eligible for use as the primary teaching material at Medan State University, promising to enhance students' critical thinking skills.

Analisis Bahan Ajar Berbasis Media Gambar untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Siswa Kelas III Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di MI Birrul Walidain NW 2 Rensing

One of the best role models for encouraging kids to learn is visual media, which may be utilized to accomplish educational objectives. Teachers can increase students' interest in the lecture by using image media, which can help with comprehension and memory consolidation. This study aimed to ascertain the type of instructional materials utilized in Indonesian language courses and if image media instructional materials may enhance reading proficiency in Indonesian language courses in class III MI. Rensing of Birrul Walidain NW. Data for the qualitative descriptive study design was gathered through documentation, interviews, and observation. Four steps encompass the data analysis process: gathering data, reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The study's findings demonstrate: Two types of visual aids frequently utilized in Indonesian language courses are 1) visual aids in the form of posters and 2) visual aids in the form of serial photos. Regarding media image, there are four ways that it may help with reading comprehension in Indonesian language courses: a) media usage; b) learning media; c) student reading abilities; and d) teacher training and improvement of student reading skills.

Evaluation of Indonesian language course development focused on internationalization with goal-oriented model

Currently, the gap between the theory taught in lectures and the practical needs in Indonesian language internationalization projects hinders students' mastery of competencies in studying the Indonesian Language Development course. There is a pressing need to update the Indonesian Language Development curriculum to emphasize practical application, such as language development projects and the use of Indonesian in international contexts. Active student involvement through participatory and collaborative approaches is key to preparing students for the challenges of Indonesian language development in the era of globalization. This study aims to evaluate the Indonesian Language Development course, focusing on the internationalization of the language, and is based on participatory and collaborative learning. The method employed is the Goal-Oriented Evaluation Model, which involves identifying specific needs by analyzing issues in the Indonesian Language Development course. It identifies the objectives of the internationalization program based on clear indicators and proposes actions to improve teaching and learning. Data collection methods include classroom observations, student performance surveys, and interviews, along with a literature review to support an understanding of suitable participatory and collaborative learning methods The findings show that teaching methods incorporating technology, field practice, and interactive activities create positive and meaningful learning experiences. The evaluation, including student participation and collaboration, has yielded favorable results, with most respondents reporting that this learning is enjoyable, beneficial, and memorable. In conclusion, the study concludes that the learning approaches at University A and University B are appropriate and effective.

Harmonizing Languages: The Impact of Multilingual Classroom Dynamics on Teaching Indonesian in Taiwan

This case study investigates the intricate interplay of multilingualism, specifically in Chinese and English, and its consequential impact on the language of instruction in the context of teaching Indonesian as a foreign language in Taiwan. This research delves into the nuances of language pedagogy within a multicultural and multilingual educational setting. This study employs case study methodology, gathering data through classroom observations and openended student questionnaires. Additionally, students' progress, as evidenced by assignments and feedback, serves as a quantitative indicator to measure the influence of multilingualism on their language learning journey. Key objectives include examining student preferences and perceptions on the use of Chinese and English in Indonesian language course instruction. The research explores instances of code-switching and code-mixing, shedding light on the dynamic language choices of instructors and learners. Through an analysis of student progress, the study aims to discern tangible outcomes associated with the multilingual approach. The results show that students found the classroom dynamics positive and motivating, enhancing their learning experience. Local students benefited from using Chinese, while international students appreciated the multilingual approach, though some noted occasional delays in translation. Overall, the study provides insights into the benefits and challenges of multilingualism in Indonesian language instruction in Taiwan, contributing to discussions on effective practices in multilingual education.

PELATIHAN LUKIS SIDIK JARI (FINGER PAINTING) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTORIK HALUS PADA ANAK TK SIWI

Introducing children to the art of painting is an alternative to increasing children's creativity. Introducing art to children, especially painting, is meaningful for cultivating attitudes and fostering creativity. The aim of learning this art is to ensure that children have optimal motor, cognitive and psychomotor abilities. This service activity was carried out using fingerprint painting techniques which focused on efforts to improve children's fine motor skills at Siwi Kindergarten, Daratan Village, Sleman Regency, DI. Yogyakarta. This activity is part of the output of the MKU Indonesian Language course for UST Fine Arts Education Study Program students.

Development of a Textbook for Critical Reading of Legal Documents in Compulsory University Courses in Higher Education

This study aims to develop a legal document-based critical reading textbook in compulsory university courses in higher education. This study used a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The instruments used to obtain research data are observation guidelines, interviews, and expert assessment questionnaires for the developed products. The subjects of this research were students of the law study program who were taking Indonesian language courses at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results of this study indicated that the product feasibility test for material experts obtained a score of 3.6 in the excellent category. The product feasibility test for media experts obtained a score of 4.0 with a good category. Based on the student response test results calculated by the AIKEN V formula, the score was 0.95 to 1 with an outstanding category. The effectiveness test using independent sample pretest results 0.155 means insignificant, meaning that the initial conditions are not different or the same. In contrast, the post-test results of 0.011 mean significant, meaning different conditions. This study concludes that the textbook developed is influential for teaching material for students of law study programs in understanding legal documents.

A METHOD OF APPLICATION CASE METHOD AND TEAM BASED PROJECT IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF RESEARCH COURSE LEARNING LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE PROGRAM IN EDUCATION STUDIES INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

This research was carried out at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Tadulako University, odd semester 2021/2022. The purpose of this study was (1) to determine the application of the Case Method and Team Based Project (CM-TBPj) methods in learning Indonesian Language and Literature Research courses for Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students. (2) to determine the quality of learning outcomes of Indonesian Language and Literature Research courses for Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students through the application of Case Method and Team Based Project (CM-TBPj). This type of research is classroom action research. The flow of this research activity consists of two lines, the first is a case method and a team based project, which is preceded by developing a case framework that will be used in the study of Language and Literature Research courses, then followed by collecting an evaluation test of the quality of learning after the case scenario has been carried out. Data was collected using test and non-test techniques. The research data is in the form of the CM-TBPj learning planning design and its implementation is observed and assessed by peers using the CM-TBPj learning planning and implementation instrument in Indonesian Language and Literature Research learning. The results showed that the planning of CM-TBPj was very well designed with a score of 3.5 and the implementation of CM-TBPj in Indonesian Language and Literature Research learning was carried out very well with a score of 4.0. The results also show that CM-TBPj-based Indonesian Language and Literature Research Learning activities can create an authentic, collaborative, and participatory learning atmosphere in solving real problems/cases in Indonesian Language and Literature Research to achieve course learning objectives (CPMK) with a value of the average student learning outcomes Study Group 1 = 85 (A), Study Group 2 = 88 (A), Study Group 3 = 87 (A), Study Group 4 = 88 (A), and Study Group V = 90 (A ).

Penerapan Pembelajaran Kolaboratif Dalam Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia

This research describes the application of collaborative learning in Indonesian language courses at universities, identifies its benefits, and identifies the challenges faced in its implementation. This research also aims to formulate solutions that can overcome these challenges, thereby strengthening the effectiveness and success of collaborative learning in the context of teaching Indonesian in higher education. Based on the results and discussion, the conclusion that can be drawn is that collaborative learning has a strong theoretical basis from social constructivism, constructivism, social learning, and cooperative theory (Vygotsky, Piaget, Bandura, Johnson & Johnson). The implementation of collaborative learning provides significant benefits for students and lecturers, including increased motivation, material knowledge, engagement, and better interpersonal relationships. Effective implementation strategies include clarifying learning objectives, forming effective groups, providing structured assignments, facilitating interaction, and providing fair assessments. Further training and provision is needed for students and lecturers in implementing collaborative learning effectively. The development of assessment instruments that are more detailed and sensitive to individual contributions in the group can increase the objectivity of the assessment. Further research is needed to identify more efficient strategies for overcoming challenges in collaborative learning. Stronger support from universities in providing the training and resources needed to optimize the implementation of collaborative learning models

Implementation of Tri Ngo in Learning Indonesian Language and Literature in Elementary Schools at the Higher Education Level

This study aims to determine the implementation of Tri Ngo "Ngerti, Ngroso, Nglakoni" in Indonesian Language and Literature Learning in Elementary Schools at the Higher Education level. This type of research includes quantitative survey research. The population consisted of all 4th semester students of Elementary School Teacher Education at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta. The research sample used simple random sampling and obtained a total of 156 students. Validity test data using product moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. The results of the data validity test obtained 20 items declared valid and the results of the reliability test using 20 valid items and obtained an Alpha value of 0.988. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of the Tri Ngo concept to Indonesian Language and Literature Learning in Elementary Schools at the Higher Education level was in the high category with an average of 79.88. This means that students are able to understand, feel, and apply the Elementary School Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Course well. There needs to be further research with different perspectives to strengthen this research. It is hoped that the application of Tri Ngo can also be applied to other appropriate courses.

Systematic Literature Review (SLR): CIRC Learning Model on Reading Comprehension Skills in Indonesian Language Courses in Elementary School

The CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning method is a method that supports students in developing comprehensive reading skills and provides benefits for students to understand learning material. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the CIRC learning model on students' reading comprehension skills. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection is done by documenting all articles that have similar research in the research report. The articles used in this study were 4 national journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application. The use of the CIRC learning model can be developed by teachers as a learning model to improve students' reading comprehension results.

Analysis of Learning Objectives Lesson Plan for Low Class Indonesian Thematic in the Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum

This research is motivated by the obligation of a teacher in making a Lesson Plan (RPP in Indonesian language) prior to conducting instructional activities. Consequently, it is imperative for prospective teachers, specifically students enrolled in the PGSD programme at Ngudi Waluyo University, to possess the ability to effectively and accurately develop lesson plans in accordance with relevant regulations. The primary objective of this study is to examine the learning objectives of the theme RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran) in the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning course within the elementary school curriculum of 2013, specifically focusing on the low grade level. The participants in this study were randomly selected fourth-semester thematic RPP 3 students of PGSD at the University of Ngudi Waluyo. These students were enrolled in the Low Class Elementary School Indonesian Language and Literature Learning course. The employed methodology is the descriptive qualitative approach. Based on the findings derived from the analysis of the three thematic lesson plans, it can be deduced that there exists a congruence between the learning objectives outlined in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum and the objectives stipulated in the relevant laws and regulations. Each lesson plan demonstrates alignment with the analysed aspects, specifically: 1) the learning objectives under scrutiny, which encompass the intended learning outcomes as prescribed. The Core Competencies (KI) encompass various components, including spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and abilities. 2) The learning objectives are aligned with the Basic Competencies (KD). 3) The learning objectives incorporate Operational Verbs. 4) The learning objectives encompass the ABCD components.

First language interference in speaking and writing Indonesian language of Azerbaijani students in Indonesian language course at Azerbaijan University of Languages

This study examines the issue of first language interference in spoken and written Indonesian by Azerbaijani students who are taking an Indonesian language course at Azerbaijan University of Languages. The study is framed within the context of bilingualism, where first language interference occurs when individuals learn a foreign language. The aim of this research is to identify the types and causes of interference displayed by Azerbaijani-speaking students when using Indonesian language, with a focus on speaking and writing during classroom activities. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to collect data through observation and documentation, including oral recordings and written assignments. Analysis revealed that Azerbaijani students face pronunciation, morphology, and syntax challenges due to interference based on Weinreich’s theory. Pronunciation challenges arise from the lack of the phonetic sound [ê] in Azerbaijani, resulting in substitutions with [é]. Morphological complexities arise from the unfamiliarity with prefixes in Azerbaijani, making it difficult to transform active sentences into passive structures. Syntactic challenges arise due to the differing sentence structures between Azerbaijani (S-O-P-C) and Indonesian (S-P-O-C). To mitigate interference, it is recommended to include targeted phonological drills, increased morphological exercises, and enhanced syntactic practice to facilitate a smoother language acquisition journey for Azerbaijani students who are mastering Indonesian language.

Language Teaching Materials for Writing Advertising Texts

This study is based on extensive library research, utilizing a wide range of information and resources from various sources. Having the right instructional materials is crucial for the successful completion of any academic program, including Indonesian language classes. Junior high school Indonesian language classes in Class VIII explore a range of subjects, one of which is the art of crafting advertisement copy. To achieve optimal outcomes, it is crucial to utilize appropriate instructional resources while acquiring proficiency in the Indonesian language for advertising purposes. This research aimed to provide a comprehensive description of the different types of advertisements that can be utilized as teaching materials in Indonesian language courses, along with an exploration of the diverse concepts associated with these materials.

Needs Analysis of Project Based Teaching Module Development in the Independent Curriculum

This study aims to describe the needs analysis of developing a Project Based Teaching Module to increase the creativity of PGSD S1 students in designing independent curriculum-oriented elementary school learning. This study employed a mixed method approach, specifically utilizing a sequential explanatory design combination research design. The study employed quantitative methodologies and focused on 4th semester students in the PGSD FIPP UNY Study Program, resulting in a population size of 215 students. The study employed a random sampling technique to choose a group of students in their 4th semester. The sample technique employed the Isaac and Michael Tables. The collection of quantitative data was conducted using survey methodologies. The research instrument employed questionnaires that had been previously delineated with a grid. Additionally, the questionnaire instrument that was created to assess student creativity underwent validation and reliability testing prior to its use in the field. The gathered quantitative data were evaluated using descriptive methods. The quantitative data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software, specifically version 25. Qualitative data were acquired by the utilization of qualitative methodologies, specifically through the means of interviews, observations, and documentation approaches. The tools employed in qualitative research encompass interview protocols, observation protocols, and documentation protocols. Meanwhile, qualitative data in this study was analyzed using data analysis (Miles ; Huberman, 2014) which includes condensation data, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The result of this research is that PGSD FIPP UNY students need teaching materials to support learning, especially in the Elementary School Indonesian Language and Literature Education Development Course. This is evidenced by the results of questionnaires filled out by 62 respondents from different classes, showing that the need for teaching materials for the Education Development course is needed by them. It is proven by the results of the questionnaire that 100% of students stated that they needed teaching materials for tool development, especially those based on the Merdeka Curriculum.

The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Learning Results for Scientific Indonesian Language Courses at PGRI Wiranegara University

This research explores the impact of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) on scientific Indonesian language learning outcomes at PGRI Wiranegara University. With quantitative and qualitative approaches, this research shows a significant increase in the academic achievement of students who receive AI-based learning. The results of the analysis show a positive difference in values between the experimental group and the control group. Students reported positive experiences regarding AI assistance in overcoming learning difficulties. The conclusion confirms that AI integration is effective in improving the efficiency and quality of scientific Indonesian language learning in higher education. This research contributes to the development of innovative learning methods based on AI technology in higher education environments.

Ability To Distinguish Between Standard Vocabulary And Non-Standard Vocabulary In Indonesian Language Courses For Semester 1 Class F Students At Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine In 2023

Standard words are words that follow linguistic rules recognized in Indonesian. Spelling, conventional grammar, and common dictionary words are just some of the linguistic norms that can be found in standard words. This research aims to describe the level of students' ability to differentiate standard vocabulary from non-standard vocabulary in Indonesian. The population in this study were students in semester 1 (one) class F of the Veterinary Medicine Education Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mandalika Education University totaling 39 people. Data collection was carried out using test techniques, while data analysis was carried out using percentage techniques. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is known that the level of student ability is adequate. This can be seen from the results of data analysis which shows that 74.36%Sample students who got a score of 6.5 and above, while students who got a score below 6.5 were 25.64%%.On this basis, it is hoped that in the learning process in class, lecturers who teach Indonesian language courses will intensively provide assignments or training to students, especially in terms of the differences between standard and non-standard vocabulary. Need Analysis for Developing Model-Based Scientific Writing Teaching Materials Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in the Indonesian Language Course at Ichsan University Gorontalo Indonesia

This research aims to develop a scientific writing teaching material model using CLIL for the Indonesian Language Course at Ichsan University Gorontalo to improve students' skills in the Department of Information Systems. Additionally, Vygotsky's theory emphasizes the importance of peer influence in children's cognitive development, which can be accelerated through cooperative group work and peer tutoring. This research utilizes a model development research methodology, following the procedures developed by Tomlinson, which include identifying needs, exploration/survey of needs, contextual realization between teaching materials and learners and teachers/model analysis, and pedagogical realization for the development of teaching materials. Data collection involves a survey to identify the needs of lecturers and students in the Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Ichsan Gorontalo University. Data analysis is carried out using Content Analysis to evaluate the feasibility of the teaching materials for writing scientific papers based on CLIL for 30 students in the program. Research findings indicate that teaching materials for writing scientific-based papers in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) should include an explanation of writing scientific papers, notation techniques, and stages of writing. Additionally, written materials in various text types and genres, reading materials on different topics, and evaluations at the end of each unit, program midpoint, and end are essential components of the course in scientific wrting.

Students' Perceptions of the Effectiveness of the 5E Learning Cycle and Problem-Based Learning Based on TPACK in Writing Scientific Article

Writing scientific papers is unavoidable for the scientific community in higher education. As part of the scientific community, students must master the knowledge and skills of writing scientific papers. However, the reality on the ground has not shown the expected reality. Many students do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to write scientific papers. Not a few students still have shallow knowledge and skills in terms of writing scientific papers. This study examined students' perceptions of using the TPACK-based 5E-PBL learning cycle model to improve their ability to write scientific papers. The subjects of this study were 189 second-semester students who had taken Indonesian language courses at Asahan University from the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Teacher Training. The research method used was a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. The research data was obtained by distributing surveys to all samples using the Google Forms platform, and interviews. Based on the results of the data analysis, there was a significant increase, around 51 students got very good scores, and 65 were in a good category. Thus, the effectiveness of the TPACK-based 5E-PBL learning cycle model in terms of educators (lecturers) shows a very high category (56%). While the average score showed the highest score 41% in the very high category viewed from the students’ sub-variable. In sum, students considered using the 5E-PBL learning cycle model based on TPACK for Indonesian language courses on scientific paper writing material positively impacted the learning process.

Penyimpangan Maksim Kesantunan Berbahasa Mahasiswa pada Dosen dalam Interaksi WhatsApp Group

Language politeness is the key to good communication, including in communication in student WhatsApp groups. However, violations of the principle of language politeness often occur among students, especially in WhatsApp course groups. This study aims to discuss violations of the principle of language politeness among students in Indonesian language course class groups. This study uses a qualitative method with research data in the form of WhatsApp message media. The results showed that there were four violations of the maxim of wisdom, one violation of the maxim of sympathy, five violations of the maxim of generosity, and one violation of the maxim of humility. These violations occur because students think that WhatsApp groups tend to be informal and pay less attention to language politeness. The results of this study are expected to increase students' awareness of the importance of language politeness in communication, especially in WhatsApp groups.

OPTIMALISASI PENULISAN ILMIAH MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA BERBASIS PROYEK

The progress of education is characterized by a breakthrough in the application of knowledge. However, until now, linguistic competence in Indonesian classes has not had effective standardization, so writing articles in journals is still considered difficult. The purpose of this article is to discuss the improvement of scientific writing skills for journal articles through an output-based learning model. The source of data in this study is Accounting students in the 6th semester at UIN Jakarta. The data in this study are in the form of student outcomes produced, namely articles in national journals. Standardization of learning success assessment is based on three indicators, namely: published articles, LoA, and in process. Based on the research conducted by the researcher, it was concluded that out of 57 Accounting students, there were two students who were considered not graduating. One student did not pass because he did not do the output of the Indonesian language course, the other one withdrew from the Indonesian language class. Overall, there were 13 articles produced in groups by 6th semester students. Twelve articles have been published, and one article has just received LoA.
