Strengthening Student Discipline Behavior Through The Implementation of Principal Policies in Banyumas Indonesia

Student discipline behavior is one of the characters that is targeted in the development of Indonesian character. However, field facts show that there are still school with low levels of student discipline. In Banyumas, there are schools which has managed to do strengthening student discipline behavior through the implementation of the principal's policies, one of which is Vocational School Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang Banyumas Indonesia. This study aims to describe the implementation of the principal's policy in strengthening the disciplined behavior of students at Vocational School Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang with types of qualitative research that are descriptive. Data collection using interview techniques, observation and documentation as well as triangulation of techniques and sources as a test of data validity. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, presentation and verification. The results of the study showed that strengthening student discipline behavior through the implementation of the principal's policy in Vocational School Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang is carried out by compiling student regulations, points or sanctions for students who violate and giving rewards for exemplary students. The policy is implemented through four stages of implementation policy, namely policy preparation, policy testing, policy implementation and evaluation policy.

Developing Website as Media in Wordpress Assisted in Learning Momentum, Impulse, and Collision to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Skills

Teachers are expected to have several competences; master teaching materials and have Indonesian character and personality, inspire and be a role model, have a charming appearance, be authoritative, firm, sincere, and disciplined who are able to educate, learn, guide, direct, train, assess, and evaluate students in accordance with the demands of current and future developments in information and communication technology. The purpose of this research is to develop a word press-based website to improve students' creative thinking skills in the physics concept of impulse and impact momentum. The method used in this research is development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model including five stages, namely the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate stages. The results showed that the wordpress-based website media developed was feasible to use for learning momentum, impuils and collisions on MA Ali Maksum students in class X physics subjects with a value of 86.3% media attractiveness aspect, 87.0% material adequacy and 83.7% language use and media validity declared feasible, and wordpres-based website learning media can also improve students' creative thinking skills on the concept of momentum, impulse and collision.

Shaping National Character in Early Grade Elementary School Students Through Social Sciences Learning in the Medeka Curriculum Era

By looking at the Merdeka curriculum in primary schools, this research investigates the role of social studies education in fostering Indonesian character in primary school students. This curriculum aims to provide students with a strong, genuine understanding and respect for Indonesian culture while adhering to the values derived from Pancasila, which is the identity of the Indonesian nation. Social studies education becomes important in order to foster the character of students, including the cultivation of moral values in themselves both in the home, school and community environment. The data collected in this study were collected through surveys and analyzed through the literature study method. Data were obtained from various sources, including academic journals, student documents, and relevant research topics. This research found that social studies education can improve students' understanding of the daily life that must be carried out by applying the nation's values in their daily lives. It can also help them learn academically and support them in interacting and collaborating to solve everyday problems, which helps them in making the right choices for their brighter future.

Comparison of Intrinsic Elements of Indonesian and German Children's Literature to Enrich Character Education for Indonesian Children

Children's literature has many benefits, including being a medium of entertainment and a medium for character education for children. Children's literature contains various noble values that readers can internalize daily. This research uses two objects of children's literature: the Indonesian children's literature book Dru dan Negeri Lima Kerajaan by Clara Ng and Renata Owen and the German novel Apfelkuchen und Baklava by Kathrin Rohmann. This research aims to compare two intrinsic elements from the two novels as material for character education for students in Indonesia. The intrinsic elements in both novels are characters, setting, theme, and message. The research results show that the intrinsic elements of both novels have symbolic meanings that contain noble values such as patience, courage, kindness, sincerity, acceptance, and openness. Therefore, it can be concluded that the two novels can be used as material for enriching student and Indonesian character education and cultivating global character.

The Concept of Indonesian Character Education: Emile Durkheim's Perspective

The aim of preparing this work is to analyze in detail the concept of Indonesian character education from Emile Durkheim's perspective. In researching the concept of character education from Emile Durkheim's perspective, the initial step is to identify relevant data sources, including Durkheim's work and academic analysis of his views. Then, the researcher conducted a critical study of the selected literature, evaluating the main themes and key concepts related to character education from Durkheim's perspective. Next, through qualitative analysis, they compared Durkheim's views with contemporary understandings of character education to conclude the relevance and applicability of Durkheim's concepts in today's educational context. Durkheim's contribution to sociology was to introduce the concepts of social facts and solidarity, highlighting the importance of understanding the social forces that shape human behavior and the relationship between individuals and society in modern social dynamics. With his empirical approach, Durkheim built a fundamental foundation for the study of social interaction and community formation. Character education in Indonesia, supported by government policies and related ministries, emphasizes cultural values and virtues in developing students' hearts, minds, and bodies, as well as reason and creativity, with an emphasis on honesty, intelligence, resilience, and empathy as the main values. The main goal is to form a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also morally responsible and appreciates the diversity of society. Character education in Indonesia reflects conformity with Emile Durkheim's view of the influence of society on individual behavior through an emphasis on communal values, strengthening solidarity in society.

Preserving Cultural Identity: The Imperative of Prioritizing Indonesian Character Values in English Textbooks to Safeguard Against Cultural Hegemony in Language Learning

This article discusses the need to prioritise Indonesian cultural character values in English textbooks as a strategy to maintain cultural identity and counter the hegemony of Western cultural values in language learning in Indonesia. In the context of this research, the phenomenon is based on English textbooks for high school students in grades XI and XII in Indonesia. This research method uses library research. The main instrument of this research is the researcher himself as a "human instrument". The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative, which includes activities: data collection, display and discussion, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show the following. Firstly, this study notes a number of trends that may be troubling, including the lack of representation of local values and the dominance of Western elements. Secondly, the factors causing this slide involve both external and internal aspects. Externally, relating to the theory that language learning is inseparable from cultural learning provides a foundation for the internalisation of Western culture in English language learning. Internally, the influence of modernism as well as the syndrome of being a former Western colony led to an inferiority complex in cultural awareness, reinforcing the adoption of Western cultural values as the inevitable ideal standard. By exploring concrete strategies to promote Indonesian cultural values, this article advocates for a profound change in English teaching approaches to build a sense of identity and cultural diversity amidst the challenges of global values hegemony.

Revitalization of Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an (TPA) in Padukuhan Nepi Kranggan Galur Kulonprogo

Abstract. As a nation with a majority Muslim population, early religious and moral education has a major contribution to the development of excellent Indonesian character in the future. Taman Pendidikan Al Qur'an (Qur’anic Education Center for Children -TPA) is a place to prepare the younger generation with good religious and moral provisions. Padukuhan Nepi, Kranggan Village, Galur Subdistrict also has a TPA which is managed by the mosque caretakers. However, due to the pandemic disaster which required people to reduce their social interactions in early 2020, TPA activities were temporarily suspended. For this reason, a TPA revitalization strategy is needed to attract students to return to study. The efforts to solve this problem were carried out in 2 (two) ways, firstly, organizing recitations for students by inviting little preachers, as an attraction for students to come back to TPA; Second, providing alternative learning tools, i.e. a mini library, to attract the attention of students to always come to TPA activities. The results of implementing this strategy show an increase in the attendance of students to participate in TPA activities.

Pembangunan Karakter Anak Bangsa melalui Konsep Multikulturalisme

To build the character of the nation's future, a solution is needed, one of which is through education with the concept of multiculturalism. Multicultural education focuses on Indonesian human character which is carried out by forming thinking concepts, attitudes, actions and habits to shape conscience and character. Perceptions of Indonesian character are the basis for the characteristics of the Indonesian nation. Indonesia's strength is the energy that makes Indonesia a great country. A strong nation is created from the strong character of its people. Unsustainable national values instilled have the potential to become a source of division and conflict within a country. Therefore, multicultural education emphasizes the importance of paying attention to the interests of each culture and society in order to maintain and protect the nation's cultural and social identity. So that in the future Indonesia will have good morals and become an honorable country. This scientific article aims to describe multicultural education to build the personality of the nation's children. The method used is a literature review.

A COMPARISON PRE-TRAINED MODELS FOR AUTOMATIC INDONESIAN LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION

Automatic License Plate Recognition is related to the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) that supports the road's e-law enforcement system. In the case of the Indonesian license plate, with various colour rules for font and background, and sometimes vehicle owners modify their license plate font format, this is a challenge in the image processing approach. This research utilizes pre-trained of AlexNet, VGGNet, and ResNet to determine the optimum model of Indonesian character license plate recognition. Three pre-trained approaches in CNN-based detection for reducing time for a build if model from scratch. The experiment shows that using the pre-trained ResNet model gives a better result than another two approaches. The optimum results were obtained at epoch 50 with an accuracy of 99.9% and computation time of 26 minutes. This experiment results fulfil the goal of this research.

Pesantren Law; Challenge and Opportunity for Indonesian Islamic Education

Pondok Pesantren is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia and has a distinctive character of the archipelago that specifically focuses on Islamic religious education (Educational Institution Based Religion). The emergence of colonial-based modern educational institutions presents an interesting dynamic among Pondok Pesantren Which is also called by islamic boarding schools, the Indonesian state with the National Education System continues to strive to build a symbiotic pattern between modern (official state) education and Pesantren, which of course, is expected to be a form of mutualistic relationship, the purpose of this paper is to display the main content of the Pesantren Law, the characteristics of pesantren with a historical perspective and seeks to predict the implications (challenge and opportunity) of the Pesantren Law on the development of Pesantren as an educational institution that is distinctive and has a native Indonesian character. The Method use in this paper is based on library research to find out the literature study of The Challenge and opportunity of Islamic studies based on pesantren law. The result of this paper show that Pesantren law provides a great opportunity for Islamic boarding schools to be able to improve the quality, and quality of the five constituent elements, behind the great opportunities obtained by Islamic boarding schools, there are severe challenges for pesantren after the Pesantren law is implemented.

Peran Orang Tua Migran Dalam Menanamkan Nilai Religius dan Cinta Tanah Air Kepada Anak Usia 3-8 tahun di Kampung Pandan, Malaysia

Indonesian character is an important thing to be instilled from an early age, through the role of parents who become the first school for children. Of the many characters, religious attitudes and love for the motherland are two things that are easily visible from human behavior. The role of parents becomes important when they live outside Indonesia, for how to instill this attitude in children. So that the love for the motherland is maintained, and the good character of children is supported by the religiosity. These two things become a benchmark for how parents, especially in Kampung Pandan, Malaysia, instill two Indonesian characters in their children. Through the method of interviews and field studies, researchers try to see the role of parents and what kind of influence it has on their children. So it is hoped that parents, even though they have busy lives as migrant workers, can still provide planting to strengthen religious attitudes and love for the motherland. Best Practice: Profil Pelajar Pancasila in English Teaching of SMAN 2 Pare

The introduction of a new curriculum, known as the Merdeka curriculum, has fundamentally altered various vital aspects, including character education. Merdeka curriculum provides Indonesian character education with a new paradigm, Profil Pelajar Pancasila. However, it can be challenging for English teachers to include activities based on the Pancasila ideals and the foreign culture in their lessons. The study portrays how English teachers of SMAN 2 Pare plan, carry out, and evaluate Profil Pelajar Pancasila in teaching activities. This descriptive qualitative study collected data from three English teachers of SMAN 2 Pare through interviews, classroom cobservations, and document analysis. The findings showed that the teachers conducted the application of Profil Pelajar Pancasila in teaching in three steps: planning, classroom practice, and assessment. Various learning activities and forms of tasks were synced with the profile elements in targeted materials. For the assessment, the teachers used self-designed rubric to regularly observe the students’ engagement in Profil Pelajar Pancasila before releasing the numerical and descriptive report. Although facing difficulties to implement values of morals to nation and global diversity, the teachers could familiarize the pupils with the foreign culture while ensuring they maintained their identity as Pancasila students. Furthermore, the result helps English teachers acquire practical advice regarding using Profil Pelajar Pancasila in foreign language teaching.

EFEKTIFITAS MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN KARAKTER SISWA

Character education in a place of study must involve all indicators (educational actors), including parts of education itself, namely teaching content, study procedures and assessment, management or administration of teaching. Indonesia seems to have lost local wisdom that has built character for centuries, such as fights between students and acts of corruption in all regions and institutions. Public lies that have become a habit do not have legal certainty because our laws can be bought and sold, even this country lacks figures who can be concrete models for society to emulate. Public concern for the development of national character is also a concern of the government. To improve national character education, various investments have been made in various places and various government agencies, especially in various units of the Ministry of Education. Development work is related to various levels and educational pathways, but not yet comprehensive. The community's desire and the government's concern for national character education then accumulates in the government's cultural and national character education policies and becomes one of the government's flagship programs for at least the next 5 (five) years. The application of Indonesian character education is not independent, but integrated with existing teaching by incorporating components of Indonesian character and culture. Indonesian education which increases technical knowledge based on the components of Pancasila, because it is not appropriate, only emphasizes one point of view of knowledge and values. Character education carried out in places of study is based on a political component originating from society, which requires the participation of all indicators (stakeholders), including parts of education itself, namely curriculum content, study procedures and evaluation, quality relations, administration or teaching management

Descriptive Study: Implementation Of Character Education In The Dormitory Of The Indonesian School Of Davao, Philippines

This study aims to determine the types of character education that are applied or implemented to students who live in the Davao Indonesia School (SID) dormitory. The objectives to be achieved include this research is expected to describe the application of character education in the form of religious attitudes, discipline, national spirit, care for the environment, and responsibility in the SID dormitory and can describe the achievements of character education in the dormitory and its obstacles. This research was carried out for three months starting with asking permission, data collection, analysis, reporting. Data was collected by means of structured interview sheets and documentation studies. The results showed that character education in the SID dormitory had been implemented. The implementation of religious attitudes is carried out through routine worship activities, reading scriptures, religious activities, and appeals for good dress. Discipline is carried out by applying the given rules and dividing individual and group tasks. The attitude of the national spirit is reflected in the obligation to use the Indonesian language, play Indonesian songs, and watch Indonesian films together. The attitude of caring for the environment is instilled through mutual cooperation activities, cleaning pickets, joint activities in supporting environmental cleanliness and reminding each other about cleanliness. The attitude of responsibility is implemented from the willingness to be led, regulated, and directed, to take every advice seriously and to maintain and maintain the objects owned and to carry out the results of the agreements that have been made. Overall, the results of character education in the SID dormitory have a significant impact on the character of students who previously lived and grew up in their hometowns who are not familiar with Indonesian culture at all today. The obstacles to planting character education in SID dormitories are family background and the influence of strong home environment conditions that do not support Indonesian character education and the different characteristics of students.

Tingkat Toleransi Beragama Siswa SMA: Survei pada Siswa Muslim di SMA Negeri Kota Cimahi

Senior high school students are the most vulnerable group to be infiltrated by radicalism. In order to prevent it, tolerance is included into the 18 values of Indonesian character education that need to be internalized in Indonesian students. This study aims to explore the level of religious tolerance among Muslim students in senior high school, as the majority religion, especially in the aspects of faith and muamalah. This research was a descriptive research with a quantitative approach using a Cross-Sectional Survey. The research was conducted in all the state senior high schools in Cimahi City with 707 respondents. Respondents were given a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results showed that in general, 92.94% of state high school students in the city of Cimahi have a fairly good tendency towards religious tolerance; even 289 (40.88%) students were in the 'very high' category. However, there are still a small number of students who have a low level of tolerance, namely 48 (6.79%) students and it was very unfortunate that 2 (0.28%) students were detected as intolerant. The conclusion is the level of religious tolerance of Muslim students at state senior high schools in Cimahi City is already quite good, but it needs to be improved.

Indonesian Character Building Strategy: Planning the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project in Kurikulum Merdeka

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, or P5, is a cross-discipline project based on problems in the education sector. Since the 2021/2022 academic year, there have been 4 themes for early childhood education (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini or PAUD), and 7 themes for elementary schools (Sekolah Dasar or SD), middle schools (Sekolah Menengah Pertama or SMP), and high schools (Sekolah Menengah Atas or SMA). The P5 makes up around 20-30% of the total credits in a year. However, teachers tend to work individually instead of collaborating with others. Therefore, this paper aims to provide guidelines on arranging the cross-discipline project so that the P5’s full potential can be realized. A systematic review was carried out on the relevant P5 databases from the perspective of the Kurikulum Merdeka. There is substantial evidence to suggest that forming a small group of teachers with a coordinator and facilitator is important. They will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the P5. This systematic review has the potential to become an important reference to build Pancasila’s character.

Improving The Quality of Learning Based on Sustainable Development Goals

This article internalizes the value of Sustainable development of goals (SDGs) into the learning process of MAN 1 Malang. Now MAN 1 Malang is not only being challenged by the old challenges, namely finding Islamic and Indonesian characters and modernization challenges, but also internalizing the SDGS values ​​into the learning process. The research method used is qualitative with the type of case study research. Researchers collected data utilizing in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. While data analysis with data presentation, data condensation, and concluding. As for checking the validity of the data, it is done by using credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability techniques. This study resulted in the findings: the development of SDGs-based learning in madrasah aliyah places the basis on intelligence, knowledge, noble character, personality, and concern for the environment. The attitude of concern for the environment includes student behavior in student interpersonal interactions such as honesty, discipline, confidence, caring, and responsibility for oneself, family, and nature according to the main goal of sustainable development of goals.

Fairy tales of Indonesia and their formulas

This article dwells upon the study of the ethics and style of a fairy tale based on the material of Malay-Indonesian folklore. The purpose of our study is to analyze the poetic system of the Indonesian magic tale as a functionally organized unity of its components. In this article we considered the medial formulas of the fairy tale, which we subdivided into "external" and "internal", that is, formulas designed to arouse listeners' interest, and transitional (internal) formulas. These stable poetic structures (formulas) play a significant role in the compositional structure of a fairy tale, as well as in the characterization of fairy tale characters. The most important functions (actions) of the characters are marked with formulas. The scientific novelty of our study is that the work attempted to interpret the methodical methods of analysis developed by the outstanding folklorist V.Ya. Propp on the material of Russian folk tales, in the context of Indonesian magic tales. The folklore of the ethnic groups of Nusantara is characterized by a variety of ancient genres and types; it is a complex system of constantly interacting genres that has been formed over the centuries. It is composed of a kind of mythological and ritual poetry, monumental heroic epic, historical and heroic legends, folk lyrics and drama, various paremiological genres. In Uzbekistan, a special study of the elements of the poetics of the Indonesian fairy tale has not been carried out yet, as well as there is no methodology for conducting analysis. The question of the autochthonous nature of the plots of a fairy tale does not raise doubts among the majority of researchers of Indonesian and Malay folklore. The originally Indonesian character of the described geographical setting and the details of their life, ethnographic realities, the names of the characters - all this testifies to the fact that fairy tales are the fruit of the national culture of the peoples of the archipelago (Nusantra). When writing the work, the tales of the peoples of Nusantara in Indonesian, Malay and Russian, published throughout the XX century, were involved. Thus, this study is based on materials from the fairytale tradition of the peoples of Nusantara, as it appears to us throughout the past XX century. The completeness of such material and the legitimacy of its use for research does not have to be indicated - after all, at this stage, the Nusantar fairy tale retained the traditional plot composition, images of poetics.

ANALISIS PROFIL JUDUL PENELITIAN DENGAN RIP LPPM UCY 2022-2027 STUDI PADA FE UCY

Research activities are one of the tridharma of higher education. For lecturers, this activity is a prerequisite in fulfilling the lecturer's performance load report which is reported every semester, while for students it is a prerequisite for the final project report in fulfilling graduation as a bachelor's degree. The problem is that although the productivity of lecturers' research through student guidance in completing their final assignments has increased, research products that have the potential to be published in national and international journals are still limited.
 This study aims to determine the profile of research titles for students of the Faculty of Economics, University of Cokroaminoto, Yogyakarta with the research themes in the Research Master Plan (RIP) LPPM UCY 2022-2027. According to the RIP LPPM 2020-2027, the leading themes of research and community service at UCY are set in 5 (five) areas of community life. The field of study is adjusted to the expertise of the study program at UCY. The leading research themes in each field are as follows: 1) Religion Religion: Strengthening Community Religiosity towards the welfare of the nation 2) Economics: Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing and Poverty Alleviation, 3) Law: Strengthening local governance and protection of human rights , 4) Education: Development of IT-based education with Indonesian character 5) Engineering: Disaster Management Management.
 The results showed that there were 24 titles of student research results with the theme of economics, namely 20 from management study programs and 4 from accounting study programs. Of the 24 themes related to Human Resources there are 2 titles, Financial Management consists of 8 titles, Marketing consists of 14 titles and Poverty Alleviation is not yet available.
