Implementation of Broadcast Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards at Celebes TV Makassar

This paper discusses the Implementation of Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards at Celebes TV Makassar. this research, the author uses Qualitative research (field research). Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that The implementation of Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standard on Celebes TV Makassar broadcast program is by following the regulation set by Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) about Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standard (P3SPS) 2012. In disseminating information, it must be in accordance with the existing facts and before the information is disseminated to the audience or public, it is necessary to research the truth of the information so that there is no misunderstanding between the information giver and the information receiver.

DISKOMINFOTIK AND KPID WEST NUSA TENGGARA READINESS IN DIGITAL BROADCAST MIGRATION (ANALOG SWITCH OFF)

This research highlights the migration of analog TV to digital TV promoted since 2007 through the Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information (Diskominfotik) Number: 07/M.KOMINFO/3/2007. The push and pull to realize this big agenda in the broadcasting world is very strong. This study uses qualitative research. Diskominfotik through the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) West Nusa Tenggara Region as the regulator is still in the wait-and-see stage. This is due to waiting and seeing any developments at the Diskominfotik and KPI at the central level. Although in subsequent developments, the Automatic Switch Off (ASO) will be implemented in August 2023 which will have an impact on local TV media in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Management of Local Broadcast Production and Enforcement of P3SPS by Indosiar Ambon TV

The research investigates management of local broadcast production and P3SPS (Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards) enforcement by Indosiar TV. Four stakeholders were interviewed: Indosiar TV Ambon representatives, KPID [Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission] Maluku Chairperson, P3SPS Department, and community members. Primary data collected through interviews and documentation; secondary sources included web, social media, books, and journals. Research process involved pre-research media observation, field research, data categorization, and objective conclusions. Aimed at benefiting the community by preventing policy duplication and aiding grassroots execution in broadcasting.

The Role of the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in Improving the Quality of Local Religious Broadcasts

This research examines the participation and activities carried out by the Yogyakarta Province Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) to improve the quality of broadcasting of religious shows as local broadcasts. KPID Yogyakarta Province is a supervisory body and takes action if broadcasting institutions do not comply with broadcasting regulations. As a state regulatory body with authority at the local level to improve broadcast quality, KPID Yogyakarta Province can take action if violations are found regarding broadcasts presented by broadcasting institutions. Using a qualitative approach with the application of descriptive analysis techniques, this research uses the theory of role aspects according to Biddle and Thomas in the form of Expectation, Norm, Performance, Evaluation, and Sanction. The results of this research produced several findings. First, in the expectation aspect, KPID Yogyakarta Province hopes that religious shows can become events that are popular and needed by the public. Second, regarding the Norm aspect, KPID Yogyakarta Province uses the 2002 Broadcasting Law No. 32, Broadcasting Behavior Guidelines / Broadcast Program Standards (P3/SPS), and 2016 Regional Regulation No. 13 concerning Broadcasting Operations as a valid guideline for improving the quality of local broadcasts on religious broadcasts. Third, in terms of performance, KPID Yogyakarta is involved in intense activities with local television stations, the government, and the community. Fourth, in the Evaluation and Sanction aspect, Yogyakarta Province KPID follows up on indications of violations and gives several award categories in the form of the best Religion and Belief Broadcasts every year to broadcasting institutions that have complied with broadcasting regulations.

Strategi Komunikasi KPI (Komisi Penyiaran Informasi) dalam Mensosialisasikan TV Digital

The aim of this research is to introduce the public to the digitalization of broadcasting, especially television in Indonesia and DKI Jakarta in particular. Currently we are entering the era of digitalization of broadcasting marked by ASO. For this reason, KPID DKI Jakarta is holding this JBeX activity, one aim is to provide sufficient information to the public regarding digitalization of broadcasting. Because usually when we talk about digital, people only know about digital internet. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with case studies. The information collection method used includes in-depth interviews and obtaining other information such as documents and other data sources related to this research. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the researchers then held a discussion regarding the results of the data obtained regarding KPI communication strategies in socializing Digital TV. In this research, researchers used persuasive theory and Lasswell's communication model. The result was that the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission built additional towers to strengthen the signal. This is proven by the large number of people who switch to digital TV channels rather than other TV channels. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission also verifies digital TV data in maximizing broadcast signals. These improvements make the picture and sound quality much better compared to analog TV broadcasts.

Konten Radikalisme berbasis Agama pada Siaran Televisi

This article discusses the role of broadcast media in spreading religious-based radicalism content in Indonesia. Using a literature review, this study found three negative impacts of broadcasting institutions, especially television, on Indonesian society. First, spreading hateful information against certain social or religious groups. Second, the potential for national disintegration due to the spread of media content that is contrary to national values. Third, the emergence of potential legal violations that occur due to weaknesses in monitoring digital-based broadcast content. From here, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), restore contradictory statement regulations and norms in broadcasting behavior guidelines and broadcasting behavior standards, as well as the need for institutional coordination between state institutions.

The Role and Challenges of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) in Facing the Digitalization Era of Broadcasting Media in Indonesia

This research discusses the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) in facing the challenges of digitization of broadcast media in Indonesia. KPI has the authority to make broadcast program standards and broadcasting code of conduct and supervise their implementation, including sanctioning violations. In the context of media digitization, KPI's role is crucial in ensuring that television shows do not only display the culture of consumerism, but also provide educational content that is beneficial to society. However, the implementation of digitalization does not come without obstacles. One of them is the readiness of the majority of television viewers who still use analog devices. In addition, there are technical obstacles such as broadcast interruptions and the need for special skills in operating digital devices. Nonetheless, digitization of broadcast media has many advantages, such as efficient use of frequencies and improved picture and sound quality. In facing these challenges, a joint effort is needed between KPI, broadcasters, and the public. KPI needs to continue developing appropriate regulations to support responsible and ethical digitization. In addition, broadcasters must improve their shows to not only follow the trend of consumerism, but also provide content that educates and benefits. Improving human resources in operating digital technology is also important. This research underscores the importance of KPI's role in guiding the transformation of broadcast media into the digital era, while still ensuring that the content presented is useful and in accordance with the values upheld by Indonesian society.

KOMNAS PEREMPUAN’S CAMPAIGN AGAINST CHILD MARRIAGE (A CASE STUDY OF ZAHRA’S SOAP OPERA IN SUARA HATI ISTRI)

Child marriages that occur to minors are still rampant in Indonesia. According to Komnas Perempuan's CATAHU 2020, the 2020 child marriage dispensation figure has tripled compared to last year, from 23,126 to 64,211 is a worrying matter that needs serious attention. [1] In today's era, humans can be said to place entertainment media as a primary need. One of the entertainment media that attracts many viewers is Sinetron (Electronic Cinema). Recently, the Indosiar television channel received a warning from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) for one of the soap operas being broadcast, namely "Suara Hati Istri". This is because the character of Zahra who is the third wife in the soap opera is still 15 years old. The formulation of the research problem is how the Komnas Perempuan organization responds to the case of child marriage in Zahra's soap opera "Suara Hati Istri". The researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method with case studies in the form of interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Researchers found the fact that Komnas Perempuan carried out persuasive communication in the form of a campaign against child marriage in the case study of the soap opera Zahra in Suara Hati Istri.

NILAI-NILAI KEBANGSAAN DALAM PROGRAM TAYANGAN RELIGI DI STASIUN TELEVISI

Religious broadcast programs on television stations always get the highest quality index compared to other broadcast programs. The results of the Television Broadcasting Program Quality Index Survey conducted by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) always place religious broadcast programs with the best index. This study specifically describes how national values ​​appear in religious broadcast programs on television stations. This research uses critical discourse analysis. The research sample was taken from religious broadcast programs on television stations that aired from January to April 2022. Primary data were obtained from religious broadcasts from television stations. Secondary data in the form of publication data from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). Data analysis was carried out at the micro (textual analysis), meso (discourse analysis), and macro (social context analysis) levels. The results of the study indicate that national values ​​that appear in religious broadcast programs on television are still dominated by normative discourse originating from the state which is associated with Islamic values. This can not be separated from the event's resource persons who come from state sources and there are still few other speakers who discuss national values.

Supervision Mechanism of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (KPID DIY) in the Implementation of Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2016 concerning Local Content and Javanese Language Content

The world of television broadcasting always presents interesting broadcast content, both information and entertainment content, foreign and national broadcasts. However, the dominance of foreign broadcasts can currently shift local broadcasts on television screens. Local broadcasts useful for increasing local potential and actualizing cultural values have become less attractive to some people. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (KPID DIY) is a regulator that regulates the broadcasting of both television and radio in Yogyakarta. And right.This study aims to discover and describe how the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (KPID DIY) monitors local and Javanese language content.he method used in this research is qualitative, with a case study approach to obtain in-depth data and information. The data collection techniques used were direct observation, interviews with the KPID DIY Commissioner and broadcast content monitoring staff, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.The result show KPID DIY monitor the television and radio program in Yogyakarta to improve the status of the privileged city of Yogyakarta. KPID DIY's efforts in implementing Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2016 for broadcasting institutions located in DIY amidst the dominance of Jakarta oriented content and foreign languages.

The Examination of Sanctions on Violation of the Broadcasting Code of Conduct to Build a Healthy and Sustainable Broadcasting Industry in Indonesia

Indonesian TV broadcasters often violate the broadcasting code of ethics. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) provides various tiered sanctions, from the lightest to the most severe, namely the revocation of broadcasting operations licenses. However, all sanctions are administrative in nature. Therefore, they often repeat violations even though they are in the same category. This article discusses new ideas regarding sanctions for violating the TV broadcasting code of ethics. The method used is the evaluative method. The results of the study conclude that violence in the TV broadcasting code of ethics must be expanded at the individual level, not only at the organizational unit. Sanctions against individuals who violate can be in the form of a record of violations that can prohibit a person from having a career in the TV broadcasting industry. People generally fear that they will not be able to earn money to support themselves. Sanctions should lead to better responsibility for TV workers so that they are more concerned about producing healthy TV shows and more compliant with regulations. The researcher believes that implementing expanded sanctions will have implications for better compliance in complying with the television broadcasting code of ethics among television workers.

Risk management of broadcasting media in Indonesia

Risk management for an institution is a necessity. It is because risk has become an integral part of the institution. For this reason, every institution, whether political, business, or social, must be appropriately managed. In that context, the study aims to find out about the form of risk management carried out by one of the independent state institutions that are trusted to broadcast, namely the Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). The main theories used are Broadcasting and Risk Management. This study uses qualitative methods and is supported by field data through data collection through in-depth interviews and involved observations. The study results show that the Central KPI must manage many risks in managing media broadcasts. Among these risks are unethical advertisements and broadcast protests due to the low socialization of the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards and complaints from the television reading community. Therefore, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission seeks to manage this risk through the School of Broadcasting Behavior Guidelines and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS) program and research on the quality of broadcast programs. With this program, stakeholders, journalists, and television broadcast media, as well as experts, are involved in schools and research. The socialization results made quality television broadcasts more enthusiastic, and finally, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission issued the KPI award, which was given to the most ethical broadcasting institution.

Optimizing the Role of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in the Context of Disseminating Health Information during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Introduction: Information technology is developing very rapidly along with the emergence of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Various information related to Covid-19 delivered by broadcasters is required to be strictly monitored to ensure that the information received by the public is correct and valid. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission has the authority to monitor the broadcasting. Objectives: This paper aimed to analyze the optimization of the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission to monitor the spread of health information during the Covid-19 pandemic. Research Methodology: This study combined doctrinal law research and non-doctrinal legal research. The research specification was descriptive-analytical and the analysis was carried out qualitatively. Conclusion: The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission has not optimally carried out its duties and roles in monitoring the dissemination of information related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Institutional strengthening, institutional synchronization at the central and regional levels, and increasing the capacity of Commissioners are some efforts to optimize the roles and tasks of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in the future. This study intends to illustrate how tv settings were in the period. The tests used in this study are subjective enlightenment methodologies, information collected as encounters, perceptions, documentation and investigation of specific information using information reduction (reduced information), information (display) and decision making (end of information). The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) is an independent or stand-alone institution, this institution consists of two, namely the Central Regional Broadcasting Commission and the Regional Regional Broadcasting Commission. This study describes how the performance of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, especially in the Aceh region, on the management of broadcast content in Aceh, it is very useful so that later broadcasts that are widely circulated and widely enjoyed by the public can be useful and do not violate the Indonesian broadcasting law. The purpose of this study is to find out how the governance of broadcast content in Aceh is carried out by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), especially in the Aceh region and minimize errors so that broadcasters will comply with regulations. The method used in this research is using qualitative research methods with a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study indicate that the Aceh Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission only acts as a regulator of content distribution in Aceh. However, the current manpower shortage and availability of experts for good governance is far from over. In addition, the lack of budget for the procurement of competent monitoring equipment is one of the main obstacles faced by the Aceh KPID. So it can be concluded that the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in Aceh has carried out the management of broadcast content to the maximum extent possible, and is supported by several parties who have helped in monitoring the broadcast content that is disseminated.

The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) is an independent institution in Indonesia whose position is at the same level as other state institutions that function as a regulator of broadcasting in Indonesia. The KPI consists of the Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) and the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) that work at the provincial level. The authority and scope of duties of the Broadcasting Commission covers broadcasting arrangements organized by Public Broadcasting Institutions, Private Broadcasting Institutions, Subscriber Broadcasting Institutions and Community Broadcasting Institutions. Radio is a media facility that still exists in Palu City. Radio media is a place for audio connoisseurs to accompany work and even travel. It is undeniable that radio is a powerful means of providing information. With a distinctive way of presentation, radio is still the main attraction. Radio listeners are served small talk and accompanied by songs. In this regard, radio broadcasters do not escape the status of a profession that is bound by a code of ethics. The Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of Central Sulawesi is an independent state institution that is responsible for controlling broadcasting behavior in each broadcasting institution, including radio. This problem is the background for the author to discuss it in research, first, how is the authority of the Central Sulawesi KPID towards the broadcasting code of ethics in radio broadcasting institutions. Second, how is the standard of behavior of radio broadcasting institutions in Palu. Duties and responsibilities, the authorities possessed by the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of Central Sulawesi have indirect responsibilities with the State.

Program Televisi Indonesia: Menguatkan ataukah Melemahkan Pancasila?

As the ideology and basic philosophy of the state, the values of Pancasila must be reflected in television broadcast programs in Indonesia as confirmed in articles 2 and 5 of Law No.32/2002. This research was conducted to analyze the content of broadcasting programs from the point of view of Pancasila values, and the efforts made by stakeholders in broadcasting, such as the Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPIP) in order to strengthen these values. Research using qualitative methods. Data was collected through documents and in-depth interviews. Informants were selected purposively. The results of the study show that among the many broadcast programs in Jakarta that carry out national broadcasts, there are still broadcast program contents that have not implemented Pancasila values, such as soap opera programs. The reason is due to the weak understanding of Pancasila values and the domination of ratings in the television industry in Indonesia. For this reason, various efforts are needed that can make broadcasters commit to implementing Pancasila values.

Penyalahgunaan Aplikasi Media Sosial sebagai Eksploitasi dalam Tindak Pidana Pornografi

With an audiovisual display, it is easy for the audience to know the message conveyed. supervising the administration of local governments in accordance with Article 1 of the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 79 of 2005 concerning Guidelines for the Guidance and Supervision of Regional Government Administration. The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission is an institution that oversees every broadcast that is broadcast with the aim that all broadcasts that are broadcast do not violate the norms that apply in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the legal regulation of public broadcasting in electronic media, and to understand the responsibilities of KPI in broadcasting the glorification of sexual harassment perpetrators. This research uses a normative research method using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach in analyzing the problem. The legal regulation on public broadcasting is regulated in Law Number 32 of 2002 concerning Broadcasting which is the main legal material in this research, which supported by legal journals and books. Data collection techniques used are recording and sorting information. In the results of this research, it was found that the Broadcasting Law regulates the issue of legal provisions and regulations regarding broadcasting service providers regarding KPI in charge of regulating matters regarding broadcasting. The Indonesian Supervision Commission has responsibility for glorification cases committed by sexual harassment perpetrators, in accordance with Law No. 32 of 2002 article 8 paragraph (3) concerning broadcasting.
