Parasitic copepods from Indian fishes described in this paper are: Lernanthropus cruciatus sp. n., from the gills of a sciaenid caught at Vizhingom, Kerala; Lernanthropodes trachinoti sp. n., from the gills of Trachinotus blochii at Vizhingom, Kerala; and Lernanthropodes chorinemi sp. n., from the gills of Chorinemus lysan, at Trivandrum. Of the three species described here, the first belongs to the genus Lernanthropus Blainville and the other two to Lernanthropodes Bere (1936). The latter genus hitherto contained only one species, L. cucullus Bere, so far recorded only from the Gulf of Mexico. Two more species are added here.
