Pembelajaran Ability Grouping Dalam Mengembangkan Prestasi Akademik dan Non-Akademik Peserta Didik

This research examines the implementation of ability grouping learning in developing student achievement both in terms of increasing academic and non-academic achievement at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Ngoro Jombang. This research uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research is a case study, as well as data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation which the researcher will later explain in data analysis including data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The research used several validity checking techniques that the researchers examined, including: Credibility, transferability, confirmability and anteriority. The results of research related to ability grouping include: 1) the planning for ability grouping at MI Darussalan is based on previous teaching staff and the initiative of the madrasa head to develop student achievement by means of ability grouping; 2) the stage of implementing ability grouping at MI Darussalam Badang, namely that each class is divided into 2 groups, namely the superior Ar-Rahman class and the regular Ar-Rahim class. For superior classes there are various kinds of superior programs, and for Ar-Rahim classes it is focused on learning material; 3) the positive impact of ability grouping is that student achievement increases, and the negative impact is that there are still students who feel differentiated from superior classes; 4) The ability grouping evaluation is carried out every semester and at the beginning of the year before the start of the new school year.

Generative AI as a Catalyst to Elevate School Health Education

Comprehensive school health education (HE), despite its link to enhancing both student health and academic achievement, often faces barriers to effective implementation. As pedagogical strategies evolve to integrate traditional methods with technological innovations like artificial intelligence (AI), the adoption of innovation in HE preparation and instruction becomes vital to maintain its relevance and increase student achievement. Leveraging generative AI holds immense promise for enhancing the HE curriculum, instruction, assessment, and learning environment. Presently available AI tools, such as ChatGPT, can facilitate dynamic generation and adaptive modification of the HE curriculum, incorporating best practices such as backward design, standards-based alignment, and a focus on skill development. AI technology can also enhance inclusivity and equity by developing curricula that incorporate academic supports and principles such as Universal Design for Learning to better tailor lessons to accommodate student needs. Assessment can be improved through the creation and modification of unique formative and summative evaluations. Additionally, supplemental activities and teaching strategies can be generated tailored to identified areas of growth. Finally, AI holds immense promise for multi-subject standard integration and collaboration aligning with the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model. Through the considerate use of AI, educators can foster a more responsive and effective HE learning environment that aligns with the diverse and evolving needs of students.

The role of technology in reducing mathematics anxiety in primary school students

Mathematics anxiety is a significant problem in education that affects students’ learning outcomes, academic success, and well-being. This systematic literature review aimed to explore the role of technological interventions in reducing mathematics anxiety and promoting positive learning experiences in mathematics learning. Our findings revealed a mixed picture, where learning mathematics through online distance education increases mathematics anxiety, especially among primary school students, while interventions such as game-based learning and digital tools show positive results in reducing students’ mathematics anxiety levels. Additionally, the results of this study contribute to ongoing discussions on effective strategies to reduce mathematics anxiety and improve mathematics education through the integration of technology, providing new understanding among educators, parents, researchers, and policymakers in creating inclusive and effective learning environments. Using technology to reduce mathematics anxiety and increase student achievement emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts.

Utilization of Gamification in Arabic Language Learning to Increase Student Motivation and Achievement

Technological developments in the current era of globalization are essential in the world of Education. There is much technology that supports learning. In the current digital era, technology and Education have introduced gamification as an innovative method to increase student motivation and learning achievement in higher Education. However, gamification’s negative impact on academics still requires further research. This research aims to determine the effect of using gamification in increasing motivation and achievement. The method used in this research is a quantitative survey method. This method can show that this research is in the form of data containing numbers. This data was obtained by using Google Forms to create a questionnaire containing questions, which were then distributed to respondents who would get the results. So, the researchers will discuss these results in the results and discussion. The results of this research show and explain that gamification in learning Arabic can increase the interest, motivation, and achievement of college students in the Arabic language learning process. The conclusion of this research shows that gamification can increase enthusiasm for learning and student involvement in the learning process. The limitation of this research is that the researcher only focuses on the influence of gamification in increasing student motivation and achievement in higher Education. The researcher’s hope for future researchers is that they can further develop and explain in detail the influence of gamification in Arabic language learning to increase student motivation and achievement in higher Education.

The Costs and Impacts of Descubriendo la Lectura: Evidence From a Multisite Experimental Study

We estimate costs and impacts of Descubriendo la Lectura (DLL), an intervention designed to improve the literacy skills of Spanish-speaking first graders struggling with reading. Collecting cost data from 24 schools in seven districts across four states participating in a multisite randomized controlled trial of DLL, we used the ingredients method to identify all personnel and nonpersonnel resources and then assign costs to each ingredient. The average cost per student of DLL is approximately $7,120 (in 2022 dollars), with teacher and teacher leader personnel expenditures accounting for more than 90% of the total costs. Impact analyses from the student-level random assignment study suggest DLL has substantial effects on Spanish-language literacy achievement, with effect sizes from d = 0.23 to d = 0.91. Linking estimated costs and achievement impacts, the impact per $1,000 investment in DLL is between d = 0.03 and d = 0.13, and a cost between $7,824 and $30,957 per student is associated with a one standard deviation increase in student achievement. These estimates compare favorably with those found for other interventions with recent cost and impact data.

Implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Approach through Differentiated Learning on Biographical Text Material at SMA Negeri 1 Mataram

The aim of this research is to find out how to implement the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach through differentiated learning on Biographical Text material at SMA Negeri 1 Mataram which is integrated with the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. There are several objectives for implementing differentiated learning, including: 1) meeting the individual needs of students; 2) increase student achievement; 3) increase students' motivation and interest in learning; 4) develop social and collaborative skills; 5) increase students' self-esteem; and 6) increasing student involvement. The application of differentiated learning places the teacher as a facilitator who helps students meet their needs. In differentiated learning, the teacher provides an understanding of the material by paying attention to the level of readiness, interests and learning styles of students. Apart from that, teachers can also make modifications to lesson content, learning processes, products or results of the lessons taught, and the learning environment.

Using Community and Home Supports to Increase Student Achievement and Family Engagement among Families of Color

Family engagement is pivotal to student development and academic achievement, particularly for students of color with disabilities and those from historically underserved culturally and linguistically diverse communities (Delale-O’Connor et al., 2020; Fehrer & Tognozzi, 2018; Impact of Family Engagement, n.d.). Unfortunately, the marginalization of diverse students and families is frequently reinforced within the education system, and educators are generally unprepared to effectively engage diverse families. This article illustrates how culture-centered learning using home and community supports, can facilitate successful family engagement and improve student achievement. The article provides practical, culturally responsive strategies for student success with vignettes modeling inclusive methods of family engagement.

Measuring the effective implementation of the GEQIP reform at school level in Ethiopia

This study examines the substantive impact of educational reforms on school and classroom organization worldwide, noting that many reforms have been more rhetorical than practical in enhancing educational quality. It highlights the crucial role of school principals in driving changes to improve student learning, despite the challenges of implementing reforms that have historically not led to significant increases in student achievement. Focusing on the General Education Quality Improvement Programme (GEQIP) in Ethiopia as a case study, this research aims to assess the extent of reform implementation across schools by identifying variations in the level of implementation. Through a quantitative approach using school principal surveys, the study employs a range of methodological strategies—including principal component analysis (PCA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), hierarchical cluster analysis, and K-means cluster analysis—to develop scales and indicators that classify schools into high or low categories of policy implementation. The findings reveal a partial and uneven implementation of GEQIP across Ethiopian schools, with notable disparities in reform adoption levels. This paper concludes by discussing the effectiveness of the methodologies used to categorize schools based on reform implementation and the implications of these findings for the successful execution of educational reforms in Ethiopia and similarly situated contexts. The study underscores the necessity of devising targeted strategies to assist principals and schools in fully achieving the goals of educational reforms.

The Influence of Technology Users in Learning Towards Increasing Student Achievement in Primary School

Education in Indonesia is currently facing the fourth industrial revolution known as Industrial Revolution 4.0. Education 4.0 is education that is characterized by the use of digital technology in the learning process or known as a cyber system. This research aims to find out how digital technology is used in PAI subjects at Bina Sejahtera Elementary School in Medan, what is the learning achievement in PAI subjects at Darul Hikam Elementary School in Bandung, and how much influence the use of digital technology has in PAI subjects at Bina Sejahtera Elementary School in Medan. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis method with a quantitative approach. The statistics use correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and coefficient of determination and t test. The population in this study were 5th grade students at Bina Sejahtera Elementary School, Medan, totaling 103 students. The research sample was taken as many as 50 students. The data collection technique was carried out by means of an online questionnaire, interviews and documentation of the 2019/2020 odd semester PPKN report scores. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the influence of the use of digital technology on student learning achievement in Civics subjects is in the high category with a correlation coefficient of 0.701 and the contribution of the influence is 49.1% and the remaining 50.9% of learning achievement is influenced by other variables. There is a significant influence of the use of digital technology in Civics subjects on student learning achievement with a significance value of 0.000. This finding is very important, especially for Civics teachers so they can use and apply digital technology in the teaching and learning process because this media can improve students' learning achievement. For students, it is hoped that by implementing learning using digital technology, the learning achievements obtained by students can increase even higher.

The Relationship Between Teachers' Self-Efficacy and Attitudes Towards Supervision

Self-efficacy is the individual's self-awareness in reaching the intended performance and the individual judgment that he forms for his success. Supervision is the process of involving the teacher in the educational background in order to improve teaching and increase student achievement. The attitude towards the supervision, on the other hand, is a factor that will determine the reaction and subsequent behaviors of the supervisor towards the supervision process and the supervisor after the supervison. This study aims to reveal the relationship between teachers' self-efficacy and their attitudes toward supervision. In the study, a relational survey methodology was employed. 2316 teachers who worked in various districts around the province of Samsun made up the study's population, and 747 of those instructors were chosen at random to represent the sample. Data collection techniques included the "Teachers' Self-Efficacy Scale" created by Schmitz and Schwarzer (2000), translated into Turkish by Yılmaz, Köseoğlu, Gerçek, and Soran (2004) as well as the "Attitude Toward Supervision Scale" created by Gündüz, Elma, and Aslan (2018). The methods utilized to evaluate the data included arithmetic mean, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. The analysis' findings showed that while instructors' views regarding monitoring were on the medium side, their levels of self-efficacy and efficacy were on the high side. Regarding education level and marital status, there was no discernible variation in teachers' self-efficacy; nevertheless, there was a discernible difference when it came to gender, professional seniority, branch, and school type. While there was no significant difference in teachers' views about supervision when branch type, school type, or marital status were taken into account, there was a significant difference when professional seniority, gender, and educational status were taken into account. The association between instructors' attitudes about supervision and their sense of self-efficacy was shown to be both favorable and substantial. Also, it was found that instructors' views toward monitoring were significantly predicted by their level of self-efficacy.

Utilisation of Android Learning Video Application in Improving Student Achievement

Android is a device that cannot be separated from education and learning in the current 5.0 era, for this reason educational institutions must have high enthusiasm in increasing the learning of android video applications to improve student achievement. The purpose of this study is that educators and students can utilize android learning video applications in improving student achievement in learning. This research was conducted with a quantitative method survey model, namely researchers distributed questionnaires using google form to educators and students. The results of this study explain that the android learning video application can be an alternative by educators in an effort to improve student achievement. To see an increase in student achievement through android learning videos, there needs to be training and development for educators and students, because android competition will be tighter in the future. Researchers have research limitations in conducting this android utilization survey because it does not cover all educational institutions, for that researchers hope that future researchers will conduct surveys with the addition of educational institutions and better ways.

PENGGUNAAN METODE KELOMPOK PENASEHAT DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR KELAS VIII PADA MATA PELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAK DI MTS DARUSSALAM DESA PEMAT DUKU TIMUR KABUPATEN BENGKALIS

This study raised the title of using the advisory group method in improving learning achievement of keals VIII at MTS Darussalam, Pematang Duku Timur Village, Bengkalis District. This research seeks to provide updates to the implementation of learning. The research was conducted because there are still some educators who have not consistently used innovative learning models in the classroom. This study aims to find out how the use of the advisory group method in providing an increase in student achievement in the subjects of moral creed and find out whether there is an increase between student achievement in the subjects of moral creed. This research is included in the type of experimental quantitative research, which uses tests and documentation in its data collection. In analyzing the collected data, a t-test is used to see the comparison of students' pretest and posttest scores. The results of the analysis using an independent t-test and obtained a significance value of 0.502>0.05, so that Ha in this study, was accepted. The effectiveness of the advisory group's learning method can also be seen through the average score of moral creed subjects in the experimental group was 77.97 higher than the control group which had an average score of 66.88. From these results, it can be concluded that the advisory group method can improve student achievement in the subjects of moral creed at MTS Darussalam, Pematang Duku Timur Village, Bengkalis District

Utilization of Whiteboard Animation Application as Video-Based Learning Media

Educators can use the whiteboard animation application as a means to support success in the learning process which is expected to run smoothly and improve learning, one of which is the use of video-based whiteboard animation applications as learning media, but there are still many educators who are less updeate in using the whiteboard animation application. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of utilization of the whiteboard animation application as a video-based learning media. This research uses quantitative methods using survey models and in-depth interviews. The survey used in this research is online-based. The results obtained from this study indicate that students' understanding increases when educators use whiteboard animation applications in learning activities. The conclusion of this study explains that the utilization of the whiteboard animation application is very helpful for teachers in the process of explaining learning material and students understand it more easily so that student achievement increases. Therefore, the limitations in this study, that the research only conducted research on whiteboard animation applications in learning, researchers hope that future researchers can conduct research on whiteboard applications more deeply.

MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MEMBACA AL QURAN MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TUTOR SEBAYA DI KELAS VII B SMP NEGERI 1 BATURETNO KABUPATEN WONOGIRI

As the results of the initial test for reading the Al-Quran, learning achievement to read the Al-Quran in class VII B SMP Negeri 1 Baturetno is still low with an average score of 62.30. While the learning completion score has only reached 22%. In general, the learning process is still dominated by teachers. This research aimed to improve learning achievement in reading the Al Quran through optimizing learning activities. This research consists of three cycles, each cycle including the following steps: 1) Planning: creating a learning scenario using a peer tutor model, 2) Acting: carrying out learning according to the scenario, 3) Observing: taking data through triangulation as data validation, 4) Reflecting: the observation data is reflected collaboratively to determine improvements in achievement and plan further action. The results of this research show that there is a quite large increase in learning achievement in reading the Al Quran as follows: in cycle I there was an increase in the average score of 4.30 points (from 62.30 to 66.60) and an increase in learning completeness of 15% (from 22% to 37 %), in cycle II there was an increase in the average score of 8.20 points (from 66.60 to 74.80) and an increase in learning completeness of 29% (from 37% to 66%), and in cycle III there was an increase in the average score of 1.80 points (from 74.80 to 76.60) with an increase in learning completeness of 25% (from 66% to 91%). The same actions from cycle I to cycle III show an increase in student achievement in learning to read the Quran.

Meningkatkan Kemandirian Melalui Discovery Learning Berbantuan LKPD Materi Manusia Makhluk Pribadi Kelas X SMKN1 Putussibau

The implementation of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education in class X SMKN 1 Putussibau, it was found that, first: students were not actively involved in learning activities, so they faced difficulties in understanding and applying the concepts being taught. Second, the learning model used with the material being taught is not quite right. Third, in the learning process, the teacher has not linked the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile significantly. Based on the existing problems, it is necessary to immediately make improvements in the learning process. The improvement in question is integrating the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The purpose of this research is to increase independence and increase student learning achievement. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects were 13 class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Putussibau. The results showed that in the first cycle the percentage of independence was only 69.78%. Then continued in cycle II, the percentage of student independence increased to 92.86%. This shows that the percentage of independence of students has increased and achieved predetermined indicators of success. Learning achievement has also increased. In cycle I, the percentage of learning achievement was 69.2%. The percentage of student learning achievement in cycle II increased to 84.6%. So it can be concluded that the discovery learning model assisted by LKPD can increase the independence and learning achievements of students in class X phase E SMKN 1 Putussibau.

DEVELOPING DIGITAL TEACHING MODULE OF SOCIAL-SCIENCE SUBJECT BASED STEAM METHOD FOR GRADE FOUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Digital learning modules continue the trend for future literacy modules. The covid 19 pandemic, which has paralyzed practically all sectors of economic and educationally life, has played a role in accelerating to use of digital learning modules. Student are forced to study individually from home using digital platforms. A digital modules is a digital book expected to enable students to study independently, with or without a facilitator. This research aims to develop a digital learning module on STEAM based method science-social subjects for graders. This research used the EDDIE development model, which consists of five phases; analyze, design, implementation and evaluate. The characteristic of digital learning modules include five parts; components, displys, materials, learning activities and research systems. Content validation used the Gregory formula with the results of the validity test classifiled as valid; material and media feasibility test used LORI formula with test results included in the very feasible category; practically testing used the User Experience Questions (UEQ) quistionaire method with test results included in the excellent or very hight category; and the effectiveness of the product was tested using an assessment in the form of essay with everage student score of 82.4, which is incluede in the 90% completeness category. The development of digital teaching modules aims to improve students’ ability to understands STEAM based method on social-science subjects, increase student achievement in practicing module materials in the form of literacy and numeracy through worksheet and projects activities, and improve students’s ability in digital technology teaching module independently, which are easy to use anytime-anywhere.

Types of Nursing Care Delivery to Improve Student's Resilience in Online Learning: A Systematic Scoping Review

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a shift from traditional classroom instruction to online learning. Students who learn online, experience mental health issues because of these developments. To solve this issue, people must be resilient enough to modify their learning styles. The study aims to identify the nursing care delivery modalities that can improve students’ resilience during the online learning phase. Scoping review was employed in this study with the help of articles from the databases of CINAHL, PubMed, and ProQuest. The words ”resilience” and ”student OR undergraduate student” and ”pandemic covid-19 OR covid-19” were used in the English language. Full text, randomized control trial or quasi-experiment research designs, the use of the English language, student populations and samples, and publication dates within the last 10 years were the requirements for inclusion in this study (2013-2022). We found 10 articles discussing about nursing interventions to increase resilience in students who learning online. There are training interventions mindfulness interventions, and internet-based interventions. The three interventions can increase student resilience in online learning so that student achievement increases and can adapt to changes in learning methods. There are three types of nursing interventions to increase resilience during the Covid- 19 pandemic for students, namely training, mindfulness, and Internet-based intervention.

Penerapan Metode Team Quiz dalam Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning values using the Quiz Team Method in realizing active and creative students in Islamic Cultural History Learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mu'awanah Al-Hasyimiyah Dukuhmojo Mojoagung Jombang.This research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, documentation and pretest to 29 Class III students. While data analysis was carried out using the Team Quiz method to find out whether there was an increase in student achievement in learning Islamic Cultural History at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mu'awanah Al-Hasyimiyah Dukuhmojo Mojoagung Jombang.The results showed that in the pre-cycle of 29 students there were 8 students who had completed and 21 students who had not completed. In cycle I of 29 students only 13 students completed and 16 students had not completed. Then in cycle II there was a slight increase from 29 students, namely 17 students who had completed and 12 students who had not completed. Then in the third cycle of 29 students only 3 students who have not completed and 26 students have completed.Keywords : Team Quiz Method, Learning, History of Islamic Culture

The Use of Team Teaching Methods to Increase Student Interest and Achievement

It is undeniable that students will definitely experience a decline in the learning process. In the learning process students who have a lack of motivation tend to fail to increase the passion for learning. So that it will cause students to find it difficult to achieve targets in improving achievement at school. The researcher's goal in the research to be carried out is to determine the right method in increasing student interest and achievement by using a team teaching method that involves students and educators in the research process. Thus, in this study researchers used qualitative methods conducted by direct interviews and could facilitate researchers in collecting data and asking in detail. From the research conducted, it was found that by using the team teaching method, students will be more controlled in participating in active learning in the classroom. The obstacles that researchers found during the research were that the schools concerned had difficulties when applying the team teaching method in the classroom due to the limited knowledge of teachers to determine the right way of team teaching. From the research conducted, researchers can conclude that students who do not receive direct motivation will affect the enthusiasm and learning outcomes of students, to prevent this, researchers try to use the team teaching method in the learning process and find the results that team teaching can help students play an active role while in class

Upaya Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Akuntansi Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya Pada Siswa Kelas XI Ak.2 SMK St. Willibrodus Betun Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023

The purpose of this study was to improve student achievement in class XI AK.2 SMK St. Willibrodus Betun in Accounting subject through the application of peer tutoring learning methods. The problems faced are the lack of student interest in accounting subjects, and the difficulty of maintaining focus during class. This has a negative impact on their academic performance. The proposed solution involves utilizing the peer tutoring method, whereby students receive assistance from their classmates in understanding accounting concepts. The research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method and involved 20 students as research subjects. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student achievement after the application of the peer tutoring method. In cycle I, 13 students successfully completed their studies with an average formative test score of 74.50 and a percentage of learning completeness of 65.00. In cycle II there was an increase in the number of students who completed their studies, with a total of 18 students. The average score of formative tests also increased to 88.00, and the percentage of complete learning reached 90.00. The conclusion drawn is that peer tutoring is an effective learning method in improving the academic achievement of Accounting students.
