PERAN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KOMPETENSI SOSIAL GURU

This study aims to determine the role of Madrasah Principal as an innovator in improving the social competence of teachers, the efforts made and the inhibiting factors found in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ikhwanul Muslimin Bojonggede, Bogor Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The subject of this research is the Head of Madrasah, with sources deputy Head of Madrasah, teachers and supervisors of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bojonggede Bogor Regency. The results showed that the role of Madrasah head in developing teachers' social competence is as an innovator in every learning activity through innovation or renewal that follows the development of learning technology and information. Efforts made by the Head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ikhwanul Muslimin Bogor Regency in improving the performance of PAI teachers include including teachers in teacher working groups and subject teacher deliberation forums with the costs incurred being the obligation of the school to bear it. Factors inhibiting the role of Madrasah Principal as a manager in improving teacher competence include bureaucratic factors, budget, infrastructure, communication, teacher motivation.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Professional Development on Science Learning: A Review

The STEM professional development (STEM PD) programs are important in improving teacher competence in developing STEM-integrated science learning. This study aims to determine the progress of STEM PD programs and effective STEM PD programs in science learning. The methodology used in this study is a systematic literature review conducted through 3 main stages: planning, conducting, and reporting the review. The results of the study stated that the progress of the STEM PD program can be seen in teacher participation, changes in teacher competencies, integration of STEM in the curriculum, improved student skills, and resource enhancement. Furthermore, an effective STEM PD program can be seen from the STEM approach, collaboration and partnerships, use of media and technology, stakeholder support, and sustainability. This study concludes that implementing STEM PD in science learning should be carried out sustainably so that teachers will continue to be exposed to the integration of STEM in science learning. STEM PD implemented with commitment and appropriate efforts will improve teacher competence and student interest in STEM-based science learning.

Manajemen Kepala Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru di SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024

Competency standards are a breakthrough in the world of education in improving the quality of teachers so as to make teachers not only professional but competent in their fields. This is an implementation of the national education system law, the national standard of education (SNP), the Teacher and Lecturer Law (UUGD), which is realized in the RPP on teachers which will soon be passed. Departing from the above thinking, the author takes the title "Principal's Manajmen in Improving Teacher Competence at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung" which aims to describe teacher competence and efforts to improve it, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in efforts to improve teacher competence at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung. In this study, there are theoretical approaches listed in chapter one and chapter two which explain the theory of efforts to improve teacher competence at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung, then in chapter three the research methods used are qualitative descriptive, and chapter four research results and exposure to research findings data, chapter five discussion or data analysis, and chapter six are conclusions and suggestions. The data that has been obtained explains that the real state of teacher competence at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung states that every aspect of competence such as pedagogic competence or teacher learning management ability is stated to be still not very masterful and still below standard, but in the aspects of evaluating learning outcomes, understanding students, and implementing educational and dialogical learning, it can be said to be good.

Implementasi Case Method Untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru

Interactive learning articulating storylines based on the case method developed can improve students' solving abilities. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding of Primagama Bekasi Homeschooling teachers regarding the implementation of the case method in learning to improve teacher competency. Implementation of community service is carried out through several stages such as assessment, planning and development, implementation (socialization), and evaluation. The number of participants was around 20 Bekasi HSPG teachers. Based on these results, information was obtained that this activity was very relevant to the participants' needs. This activity increases knowledge and skills about implementing the case method in learning. If it is made in the form of a percentage increase from the initial ability of 35%, after socialization, those who understand will be more than 75%.

Effectiveness of online GIS training on increasing professional competence of geography teachers

The change in the implementation of face-to-face learning to online during the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to adapt the learning system. In the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) subject, the delivery of GIS material to students often remains theoretical, lacking practical application. To address this, teacher selfdevelopment efforts are needed to support the competency improvement during the online class by participating in training. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online GIS training for geography teachers. The method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach and data collection using literature review and interviews. The results found that teacher participation in training acts as a form of professional self-development, enhancing theacher’s knowledge and professional competence. During the pandemic, various trainings can be easier to follow, in addition to maintaining distance, online training can also bridge the barriers of distance and location of implementation. Online GIS training in particular can still improve teacher competence, but there are obstacles for some teachers who are lacking in managing information technology tools. The role of the presenters as well as the detailed training modules will greatly help the training objectives to be achieved.

Principal Management in Improving Teacher Competency

Success in the world of education can be measured from various aspects. Starting from the quality of students, the quality of educators, the atmosphere of the school environment, to the school administration system. However, the main factor that most influences the dynamics of education in schools is the leader who is responsible for the running of the educational process, in this case the school principal. The professionalism of a teacher in teaching does not only depend on the principal, but the role of the principal in guiding teacher professionalism cannot be underestimated. The principal as the leader must be responsible for the professionalism of teachers so that teaching and learning activities in the school can run smoothly

MANAJEMEN PROGRAM KELOMPOK KERJA GURU (KKG) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU SD

This research has a background in teacher quality problems that continue to be highlighted and its professionalism continues to be questioned by various elements. This study also aims to analyze and know more in depth about the management of the teacher working group (KKG) in improving the pedagogic competence of elementary school teachers in the Giriharja school cluster and the Manggahang school cluster Baleendah Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The research method and procedure is to use a case study method with a qualitative approach, through data collection with interviews, to school principals, KKG administrators and teachers, documentation and observation studies during the KKG activities. The results and conclusions of this study are: (1) planning is prepared jointly by KKG management, teachers, principals and school supervisors by capturing input from parties related to school cluster activities, followed by group discussions to provide teachers with flexibility in determining needs the profession. (2) organizing is done by forming the management structure of KKKS and KKG, and then dividing the tasks and functions of each structure. (3) the implementation of the KKG program is adjusted to the program plans that have been prepared previously. (4) Evaluation is carried out when and after the program is implemented. Research Implications are: Management of the Teacher Working Group Program (KKG) runs according to the management function, but there are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges that need to be addressed by all parties so that the role of the GFC can improve teacher competency, especially pedagogic competence

Academic Supervision Of Elementary School Principals To Improving The Quality Of Learning In The Kampung Cambridge Program Mutiara Cendekia

This research aims to determine the academic supervision process carried out in the implementation of the Kampung Cambridge learning program at the Mutiara Cendekia Integrated Islamic School and its impact on the quality of learning as well as follow-up plans for the results of academic supervision as part of a reflection on maintaining school quality. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. This research focuses on aspects of planning, implementation and evaluation as well as identifying obstacles to the elementary school principal's academic supervision program in improving the quality of learning in the Kampung Cambridge Mutiara Cendekia program. The research steps carried out began with 1) Identifying and communicating with interested parties, 2) Collecting data, 3) Analyzing research findings, 4) Drawing conclusions. Data collection uses interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this research found that the principal of SDIT Mutiara Cendekia Lubuklinggau planned academic supervision regularly and actively involved teachers in preparing academic supervision programs and involved students to see the assessment response to the quality of learning. School principals and teachers must have good communication and be motivators to create an interactive learning atmosphere, so training is needed that presents expert speakers to improve teacher competence. The obstacles found in this research were the lack of time for school principals, making it difficult to carry out periodic academic supervision. The solution to this obstacle is to assign senior teachers or expert teachers by involving competent deputy principals as substitutes for the principal's supervisory duties.

Improving Teacher Competence in Developing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-Based Learning Tools Through in House Training Activities

Students are free to come up with a brilliant idea and make it a reality. This study aims to improve the competence of SMKN 4 Palu teachers in developing STEM-based learning tools. Therefore, this research method is school action research. This research was carried out at SMK Negeri 4 Palu. The object ofthis research is to improve teacher competence. in developing STEM-based learning tools through in House Training (iHT) activities. The procedure of this research is action planning, action execution, observation, and reflection. Data validity using data triangulation. While the data analysis techniques used in this study are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions, while quantitative data analysis is carried out by calculating the average performance increase based on scores obtained from observation sheets that have been compiled. The results showed that the implementation of House Training activities has been proven to be able to improve teacher competence at SMK Negeri 4 Palu in developing STEM-based learning tools.

Urgensi Pelaksanaan Supervisi Akademik dalam Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru di Era Merdeka Belajar

Indonesia is ranked 74 out of 79 countries in terms of reading, science, and math skills. One of the factors for the low quality of education in Indonesia is the lack of teacher competence in preparing learning media and methods. In this 21st era, Indonesia has implemented an independent learning policy that frees teachers and students from choosing learning methods. One of the efforts that can be made to improve teacher competence is the implementation of academic supervision. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of implementing academic supervision and the role of school principals in implementing academic supervision. The research was conducted using a meta-analysis that collected data and information from several studies. The findings of this study found that academic supervision activities are an effective tool for solving teacher problems and as a means of improving teacher competence. The role of the principal is very crucial as a supervisor in implementing academic supervision. The implementation of academic supervision goes through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation or follow-up.

The Effect of Educational Qualifications and Teacher Professional Education Program on the Digital Literacy Skills of Early Childhood Educators

Digital literacy is mastered by Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers because the first education obtained by early childhood will be the foundation and basis of child development in the future. This study aims to determine whether there is an interaction between academic qualifications and teacher professional education on digital literacy. This research is quantitative research with a survey type. The study was conducted in Malang City, with data distributed through a questionnaire (G-Form). The data collected was analyzed with Two Way Anova with the help of the SPSS 26.0 application. Based on the research findings, it is known that there are differences in digital literacy skills based on the academic qualifications of Early Chilhood Education teachers (H1 accepted), there are differences in digital literacy skills based on the participation of Early Chilhood Education teachers in the Teacher Professional Education program (H2 accepted), and there is an interaction between academic qualifications and teacher professional education on digital literacy of Early Chilhood Education teachers (H3 accept). Skill development programs need to be held by schools to improve teacher competence.

Science Education Optimization: Evaluating the Impact of Science Kits on Improving Teacher Competence

The researchers used a quantitative descriptive approach. The objective of the study is to determine how well teachers use KIT media in science learning. Ten teachers at Elementary School 7 Manukaya were used as research subjects. The research objective is to determine how well teachers use KIT media in science learning. A questionnaire was used. Of the ten teachers who were assessed for improving their ability to use KIT media, eight received positive results, while the other two received less positive results. The researchers examined the data using the Gain Score scale. Overall, the average N-Gain improvement was 0.7, the interpretation percentage was 75%, and included in the moderate improvement category.

PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI GEOGEBRA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAGI GURU

This community service is carried out in the form of training. This training aims to improve teacher competence in using the Geogebra application for mathematics learning. This training used a participatory action research approach. the training was conducted online and attended by 19 mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru. during the training participants showed a positive response and enthusiasm for developing interesting learning media using Geogebra software

Penerapan Konsep Manajemen Pendidikan untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru

This article discusses the application of education management concepts to improve teacher competence as the main driver in the learning process. This study aims to discuss the most effective education management strategies in improving teacher competence to implement effective learning programs. The analysis technique used is a literature study involving the identification, selection, and evaluation of library sources relevant to the research topic. This process includes information synthesis, data organization, and codification to uncover key patterns and findings from the literature Analysis results are included in the report to support or stimulate research questions. The results of this study show that the application of effective education management concepts to improve teacher competence includes the development of managerial skills that include planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating in the learning process. It is hoped that this article can provide input for decision makers and stakeholders in the field of education to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning in schools

THE IMPACTS OF REAL ACTION FEATURES IN THE MERDEKA MENGAJAR PLATFORM (PMM): MATHEMATICS TEACHER'S PERSPECTIVE

This research is a qualitative study that aims to describe the impact of using the real action feature on the Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) platform from the perspective of mathematics teachers. This research was conducted from August 2023 to September 2023. This research uses data obtained from documents or real action information from 22 mathematics teachers from West Sulawesi and South Sulawesi. Data are obtained from descriptions, reflections, and documents that can be accessed on the Merdeka Mengajar platform, especially in the resource person section in the community feature. The mathematics teachers referred to and selected in this study are teachers who are resource persons for the Merdeka curriculum because they are among the teachers who receive many benefits from using the real action feature in PMM. The data analysis used refers to three steps, namely data condensation, data display, and conclusion making. Based on the research results obtained, the real action feature on the Merdeka Mengajar platform has many positive impacts on mathematics teachers, students, and schools. These impacts include improving teacher competence, making teachers visionary person, making teachers accustomed to reflecting, improving the condition of education units, overcoming misconceptions, improving the quality of teacher learning tools, strengthening the relationship between teachers and students, having a positive impact on students, and deepening or adding new knowledge.

The Important Role of Principal in Academic Supervision to Improve Teacher Competency in Society 5.0 Era

This research analyzes theories and strategies for increasing teacher competency through academic supervision. This research used a qualitative literature review method. The collected articles were selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 120 relevant books and articles. The document findings were then analyzed and sorted into three main topics: educational supervision, teacher competency, and the era of society 5.0. After grouping the data based on the themes above, 10 articles and books were found on topics related to educational supervision, 10 articles and books on teacher competency, and 5 on the era of society 5.0. The research results show that school (madrasah) principals must have expertise and seriousness in supervising educational institutions, especially academic supervision, which aims to improve teacher competence. Academic supervision involves planning, implementation, and evaluation with the principles of objectivity and continuous improvement. With this research, it is hoped that it can be used as a model for effective academic supervision by school principals and teachers in the information technology era.

Human Resource Management in Improving the Competence of Multisite Study Teachers at MAN 1 Tulungagung and MAN 2 Tulungagung

This research aims to find and analyze in depth related to: a) human resource planning in improving teacher competency, b) implementation of human resources in increasing teacher competency, c) evaluation of human resources in improving teacher competency, and d) follow-up of resources human resources in improving teacher competence. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach to the site study type with a multisite design. The research locations chosen were Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Tulungagung and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Tulungagung. The data collection techniques used participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed via single sites or across sites using data condensation techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. All data will be tested for validity through credibility tests, transferability tests, dependability tests and confirmability tests. The results of the research show: a) human resource planning in improving teacher competency reveals mapping of existing human resource needs, followed by analysis of human resource needs and programming of recruitment plans, b) implementation of human resources in improving teacher competency is carried out by recruitment through two ways, internal recruitment and external recruitment, and selection, c) evaluation of human resources in improving teacher competency is carried out using a periodic system every month, every semester and every year which is managed by the madraah leadership. Evaluation activities are carried out through monitoring and supervision with a determined schedule, and d) follow-up of human resources in improving teacher competency with several patterns, including: training, education, position rotation and MGMP.

Utilizing Information and Communication Technology in Scalable Management Strategies for Teacher Development

INTRODUCTION: Teachers are human resources who play an important and strategic role in the success of learning so they must fulfill adequate competencies. Teachers with low competence will not be able to produce students who excel both academically and non-academically. Efforts to improve teacher competency include education and training. OBJECTIVE: This research aims to see how information and communication technology is used in developing teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies. METHODS: This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this research was obtained from various relevant sources. RESULTS: The results of this research found that increasing teacher pedagogical and professional competence through the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and scalable management strategies opens up new perspectives on the importance of investing in the development of teaching staff. CONCLUSION: The alignment of modern pedagogical approaches with the use of technology and efficient management strategies allows teachers to develop as more effective and competitive educators. Increasing pedagogical competence allows educators to create more dynamic and relevant learning environments for students. By incorporating innovative teaching methods, such as the use of digital tools and resources, teachers can adapt learning to students' diverse learning styles.

Analysis of Teacher Competency in the Creative Thinking Skills of Phase B Elementary School Students in Indonesian Language Subjects

This research aims to analyze teacher competence in developing creative thinking skills for elementary school students. The type of research used in this research is descriptive and evaluative research methods. The subjects of this research are Pesanggrahan Islamic Elementary School, Annisa Bilingual Islamic Elementary School, and Plus Latansa Elementary School. Data collection instruments in this research included interviews, documentation, and observation. Based on the teacher assessment instrument above, Annisa's elementary school teacher has a sufficient score of 69.5. Pesanggrahan Islamic Elementary School teachers have a sufficient score in the teacher assessment instrument for the teaching module component, getting a score of 71.3. Latansa Plus Elementary School teachers have a sufficient score in the teacher assessment instrument for the component with a score of 66. This research was conducted on teachers and students while carrying out lessons. Strategies for improving teacher competency include workshops, training, seminars, monthly meetings, further education, and KKMI. The research results show that there is a need to develop teacher competence in creative thinking. The results of the analysis show that the three schools still lack competency development programs. The research results describe the analysis of the questions tested to see the skills of several students in the three elementary schools. Students' creative thinking skills are still low. Students are less likely to come up with new ideas, as evidenced by the results of the questions they work on. The principal, in collaboration with his deputy, always strives to improve teacher competence, especially teacher pedagogical competence, by implementing various development programs. Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru sebagai Peneliti Pendidikan melalui Pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas

Quality teachers are those who at least fulfil the academic qualifications of having a Bachelor degree in the field of Education and the required competencies. But in fact, the continuous professional development for school improvement through the practice of systematic reflection of teaching improvement in the form of conducting classroom action research is still dissatisfactory. Seeing this fact, such activity as workshops to improve classroom action research skills through community service are needed. The design of this activity follows the Community-Based Participatory Research Design (CBPR). This design consists of five steps Formulation of Research Problems, Collecting Data through Interviews, Compiling Interview Results, Regrouping, Clustered Discussion, Modification of Research Problems. In this community service, the target participants were 25 teachers of SMPN Pulo Gadung District. The training activities have many benefits for both parties, the research team and the teacher team. These benefits are the establishment of coordination, communication and cooperation in order to improve the quality of education, especially in improving teacher competence in conducting PTK.
