Background: The Chinese betel plant (Peperomia pellucida) is used by the community as a potential plant because it contains many benefits, one of which contains alkaloid compounds. Alkaloids have the ability to help heal wounds because the active compounds contained in alkaloids have antioxidant activity so that improved wound healing by Chinese betel plants (Peperomia pellucida) can be caused by the action of free radicals in increasing levels of antioxidant enzymes. This research will use the maceration extraction method using 70% ethanol and 96% ethanol solvents which will be carried out using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. Objective: Determine differences in alkaloid levels of Chinese betel (Peperomia pellucida) based on differences in ethanol. Methods: This study is an experimental study. The dependent variable is the total alkaloid content of Chinese betel, while the independent variable is the difference in ethanol concentration. Results: Alkaloid levels in each ethanol, namely, in 70% ethanol it was 21,11%, and in 96% ethanol it was 42,413%. From these results it can be seen that the highest alkaloid levels are found in the 96% ethanol extract. Conclusion: There are differences in results between 70% ethanol extract and 96% ethanol extract.
