Analysis of Managerial Competence of School Principals in Improving the Performance of Elementary School Teachers in Banda Aceh City


 
 
 Management ability is an ability that must be possessed by the principal in using school administrative management activities, including planning ability, organizational ability, implementation ability, and evaluation ability. The research aims to explore the managerial head in improving teacher performance. This research uses a type of qualitative research using descriptive. The instruments in the study are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Data collection techniques use interview methods or interviews to parties who directly have relationships or interested parties in this study. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data collection in the research is carried out through interview guidelines. The subjects of the study were principals, supervisors and teachers at elementary schools under the Bungong Jeumpa Cluster of Banda Aceh City. The results of the study found that the school management process, it is seen that the quality of education in elementary schools has improved, and the principal has demonstrated various effective leadership qualities, including strong personality, decision-making ability and excellent communication skills, wholehearted dedication. etc. Acting as a school leader; encourage teachers to consistently carry out their duties and functions in accordance with the subjects they teach; implement leadership models that support the achievement of school goals.
 
 

Role of the supervision of the school principal in improving the quality of learning at state elementary school’s post-pandemic COVID-19

This research aims to evaluate the role of principal supervision in improving teacher performance, identify obstacles related to academic supervision analysis, and design strategies to overcome these obstacles. This research was conducted at a public elementary school in Blora Regency. Qualitative data analysis techniques were used in this research. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Data collection through observation and in-depth interviews. The informants taken included the Principal, Teachers, Supervisors, Chair of the School Committee, and Students. The results of the study show that academic supervision is carried out by the principles of academic supervision by going through the stages of planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up. The techniques and models of academic supervision that are applied vary according to the situation and condition of the school, as well as the principles of academic supervision that are applied. The obstacles found include the role of the principal as a supervisor who is often given additional tasks by the department, teachers as the party being supervised have various activities and competencies, as well as a lack of facilities and infrastructure. Another obstacle is the limited study time and the limited communication skills of students. Efforts have been made, among others, by rearranging schedules, involving teachers in training, allocating budgets for new facilities and infrastructure through the School Operational Assistance program, and building good cooperation with school committees.

School Principal Leadership in Improving Teacher Performance in Kindergarten Tut Wuri Handayani


 
 
 The purpose of this study was to determine the leadership applied by the principal to improve the performance of Tut Wuri Handayani Kindergarten teachers to work more effectively and efficiently. The method used in the research is a descriptive approach with qualitative analysis, namely by using data collection techniques in the field through the process of interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed enhance teacher performance, the principal leads the team in finishing assignments and work within the allotted time. The orientations peer interactions and task orientation show how teacher performance has improved at Tut Wuri Handayani Kindergarten. The principal effectively carries out the laws aimed at enhancing teacher performance, carries out programs that develop teaching ability by encouraging teachers to pursue further education, and recognizes and rewards the hard work and dedication of their teachers.
 
 

STRATEGI KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN KINERJA GURU

This research is that teachers have a noble duty as educators. However, some conditions can threaten the implementation of the teacher's duties and role, so teacher motivation and performance must always be improved by the school principal with appropriate and good strategies. There are three research objectives, namely: to analyze the principal's strategy in increasing teacher motivation, to analyze the principal's strategy in improving teacher performance, and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the principal in increasing teacher motivation and performance in SD Negeri 001 and SD Negeri 011 North Sangatta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, research at SD Negeri 001 and SD Negeri 011 Sangatta Utara. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation, as informants are the school principal and teachers. Data was analyzed using the Miles Huberman model with data collection, condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research show (1). The principal's strategy in increasing teacher motivation is: The strategy is to use efforts to remind teachers that teaching is a noble job, teachers must not complain, teachers must establish good relationships with all teachers, and create a pleasant environment and conditions. Another strategy is to motivate the form of recognition and appreciation, focus on work-life balance, and teachers must maintain a positive spirit. as well as knowing the environment and character, and maximizing all activities carried out by the teacher. (2). The principal's strategy for improving teacher performance is that the principal's strategy for improving teacher performance focuses on work-life balance, not be afraid of innovation, being very active in motivating teachers, adequate allowances, always providing opportunities for self-development, teachers developing themselves, improving teacher professionalism, Forming collaborative teams through learning communities, Involving all parties. That the principal communicates well and that cooperation in every activity is carried out well. Even if there are problems, they can be resolved with good communication.

The Role Of Information Technology And Work Environment In Improving Teacher Performance

This research was carried out to determine the influence of the work environment and the use of information technology on teachers' performance as educators in this era of digitalization, where effectiveness in the use of information technology and support in the form of an adequate work environment. This research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents of this research were 45 teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. Based on age, the majority of the productive period is 37.8%, the remainder are seniors, and most teaching staff at the school are female. The length of work of respondents in this study is 0-10 years, which is more dominant. The level of teacher education is good, and the bachelor's and master's levels of education can support teacher performance. The ability to use information technology and the physical work environment truly reflects the situation and conditions that exist in the school and plays an active role in assisting the learning process and helping improve teacher performance when carrying out their duties.

PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SMK SWASTA KRISTEN BNKP DARO-DARO LAHUSA BALAEKHA

Teacher development efforts are heavily influenced by school principals. If school principals can exercise supervision and control and coordinate educational resources, teachers' performance levels will improve. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the principal's leadership on the performance of BNKP Darodaro Baraekha Christian Private Vocational School. This type of research is descriptive and based on a quantitative approach. The research instrument was a questionnaire and the population and research sample consisted of her 38 teachers of BNKP Daro-daro Balaekha Christian Pocational School. Research shows that principal leadership influences teacher performance. Conclusion: As a leader, the principal is tasked with mobilizing all available resources within the school. The good performance of teachers in schools mainly depends on the ability of school principals to influence the behavior of teachers in carrying out their duties. Recommendations 1) School principals should strengthen their role as leaders in school educational institutions and improve the quality of their leadership, including providing continuous motivation to teachers. This motivation can be achieved by implementing a reward system for teachers who perform well. This helps improve teacher performance. 2) Teachers should increase their responsibility in carrying out their duties, follow the rules set by the principal as a leader, constantly discuss learning with the principal, and receive opinions and constructive criticism from the principal. We need to emulate the attitude. Always follow the principal's instructions for the student's progress.

THE INFLUENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE, DISCIPLINE AND SUPERVISION ON TEACHER PERFORMANCE IN SMA NEGERI 1 PAKKAT

This research aims to analyze the influence of work experience, discipline and supervision on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 1 Pakkat. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to teachers at the school. Data were analyzed using regression analysis to identify the extent to which work experience, discipline and supervision contribute to teacher performance. The research results show that work experience has a positive effect on teacher performance, indicating that teachers with longer work experience tend to have better performance. Discipline also makes a positive contribution to teacher performance, emphasizing the importance of implementing rules and regulations in increasing teaching effectiveness. Apart from that, supervision from the school also plays an important role in improving teacher performance.

Principal Supervision Strategies in Improving Teacher Professionalism

Teachers in providing knowledge to students must perform professionally. One way to increase teacher professionalism is to carry out teacher supervision. School principals must have special supervision strategies to increase teacher professionalism. The aim of this research is to determine the principal's supervision strategy in increasing teacher professionalism at MTs NW Dames. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach that focuses on teacher professionalism. The subjects of this research include school principals, teachers and education staff at MTs NW Dames. The results of this research show that there are three supervision strategies carried out by school principals, namely 1) supervision strategy using coaching activities, 2) supervision strategy using mentoring activities, and 3) supervision strategy using workshop activities.

KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU BERBASIS SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT DI RAUDLATUL ATHFAL (RA) AL-HIDMAH MARON PROBOLINGGO

This study aims to investigate the transformational leadership role of madrasah heads in improving the performance of School Based Management (SBM)-based teachers in Raudlatul Athfal (RA) Al-Hidmah Maron Probolinggo. School Based Management (SBM) is considered an effective approach to improve the quality of education by giving principals and teachers authority in resource management and decision making. The focus of this research is on how the head of the as a transformational leader can have a positive impact on teacher performance through the implementation of School Based Management (SBM). The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study in Raudlatul Athfal (RA) Al-Hidmah Maron Probolinggo which has successfully implemented transformational leadership based on school based management (SBM). Data was collected through in-depth interviews with madrasah heads, teachers, and heads of IGRA (Ikatan Guru Raudlatul Athfal) Kecamatan Maron. The results of research in Raudlatul Athfal (RA) Al-Hidmah Maron Probolinggo show that transformational leadership of madrasah heads has an important role in improving teacher performance. Through inspiration, motivation, and the development of a shared vision, the head of the madrasah encourages teachers to actively participate in the decision-making and implementation of School Based Management (SBM). In addition, effective communication, coaching, and self-development are also key elements of successful transformational leadership. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for the development of more effective education policies and leadership training in madrassas.

Performance Enhancement of Madrasah Teachers’: A structural Equation Model

Objective: This study highlights the important role of leadership style, teacher competence and emotional intelligence and teacher motivation to improve teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah. This study aims to explore the factors that cause significant shifts in improving teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah. Method: This Study uses is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). With the validity, reliability, and goodness of fit of the analytical tools used to answer the research hypotheses. Result and Conclusion: The findings of this study imply that the role of leadership style, work competence, emotional intelligence, and teachers' work motivation directly or indirectly have a positive and significant impact on their performance. Research Implications: This research proposes relevant and concrete steps in improving teachers' performance. This research encourages the need for collaboration among teachers in developing their professionalism on an ongoing basis such as the application of the latest and innovative learning methods, the development of teacher ideas and creativity and active participation in scientific activities.

This article explores the positive impact of integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching, leading to improved teacher performance and increased student engagement. The study focuses on suggestions provided by instructors to enhance the use of technology in education. Data is collected through a questionnaire administered to Moroccan university English language teachers from Moulay Ismail University Faculty of Arts and Humanities - Meknes, and Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Dhar - El Mahraz - Fes, serving as a case study. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 19 is employed for data analysis. The findings emphasize the importance of quality training, accessible ICT resources, and effective school policies as key factors in successfully integrating technology into education.

The methods used by researchers in collecting data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research conducted in the field show that clinical supervision in improving teacher performance has shown good results. Although there are some drawbacks. Clinical supervision atSMA Negeri 1 Menjalin is more dependent on teacher readiness. The supervisor who supervises the teachers is the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin. Clinical supervision at SMAN 1 Menjalin has several stages including initial preparation, initial meeting, observation. Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin have met professional teacher standard switch have fulfilled four competencies including pedagogic competence, personal competence, professional competence and social competence. In improving these competencies, especially for the new teachers in SMAN 1 Menjalin, one way is through clinical supervision. The improvement felt by teachers who have carried out clinical supervision is increased performance and increased learning effectiveness, which can be seen from the very varied methods used, being able to manage classes well, being able to know and understand the character of each student well and being able to make participants students are active in learning.

Analysis of School Principals' Academic Supervision in Improving Teacher Performance at SMP Negeri 1 Bengkalis

Role Of Managerial Principles And Teaching Supervision In Improving Teacher Performance At The Islamic Education Center For Kids

The Islamic Educational Center for Kids (IECFK) is an important institution that teaches children about Islam and Al-Qur'an. However, many IECFKs need more competent teachers. Therefore, more research is needed to identify ways to improve teacher performance in IECFKs. This study aims to improve the teaching performance of IECFK teachers by enhancing their managerial principles and teaching supervision. Cluster random sampling was used to gather data and electronic questionnaires were sent to 288 IECFK administrators out of 995 IECFKs in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The questionnaires were filled out to collect research data, which was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study found that both managerial principles and teaching supervision positively and significantly impacted teacher performance. These findings can be used to improve the quality of teacher performance at IECFKs and provide recommendations for improvement. Supervision should focus on continuous teacher development. Future research could explore other variables that affect teacher performance, such as school culture, teacher training, and improving teacher welfare.

Development of Learning Supervision Model Website Based on Improving Teacher Performance at Elementary School

This research aims to produce products and test the feasibility of products, such as producing a website-based supervision model development system in improving teacher performance in elementary schools, to facilitate the management of conventional/manual supervision of website-based management information systems and determine the feasibility of website-based learning supervision system models in improving teacher performance in elementary schools. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The research steps include 1) data information, 2) model design, 3) model testing, 4) model revision, 5) development, 6) trial/testing, 7) model revision, 8) finalization and socialization. This research was conducted in a participatory manner. The research output targets at this stage are preparing a website-based learning supervision model design. This website-based principal learning supervision model design has been tested and revised to obtain an effective learning supervision model and develop a website-based learning supervision model. The results of this research are: (1) Learning supervision activities are carried out through the website http://supervisipbelajaran.educmps.com, (2) Principals feel greatly helped by the Website-Based Supervision Model because it is practical, effective, and efficient, (3) Making it easier for teachers to improve performance at school.

Analisis Supervisi Akademik pada Peningkatan Kinerja Guru

The analysis of academic supervision was conducted to find out how the process of implementing academic supervision ideally has an impact on improving teacher performance. The research was conducted using a literature review approach that collected data and information from several scientific journal studies that have various characteristics. From the data collection, two big data were drawn which were discussed in general and also comparatively to analyze the academic supervision process comprehensively starting from the planning, implementation, and assessment system of academic supervision. In the findings of this research, it is found that each school has its own uniqueness and method in implementing academic supervision which is expected to help solve problems that have not been resolved so that ideal and quality improvements can be made. Improving teacher performance is expected to improved the quality of learning.

Peningkatan Kinerja Guru Melalui Supervisi Pendidikan Terhadap Guru MA Negeri 2 Serang Provinsi Banten

This research is motivated by the decline in teacher performance in the process of implementing teaching and learning. One of the indicators of decreased teacher performance in learning is the decreased learning achievement of students in the MA Nederi 2 Serang Banten Province. The purpose of this research is to improve teacher performance through individual supervision of teachers at MA Negeri 2 Serang Banten. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation studies. Based on the results of the research shows that; First, the implementation of student counseling services is carried out through the creation of a student counseling program and the formation of a student counseling team. Second, implementation of academic supervision through approaches and techniques; class visits, observe teacher performance, observe material management, lead group discussions. Third, monitor the results of teacher academic leadership by discussing learning methods, use and assessment techniques, use of learning environments, and use of study time.

The Effect of Training on Organizational Commitment Impacts Primary School Teacher Performance in Central Lombok Regency

Finding out how elementary school teachers in Central Lombok Regency fare after receiving training and committing to their organization is the main goal of this study. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study surveyed 361 educators about their experiences in the classroom. The findings were based on an adjustment to Morgan's hypothesis made using the Warwick and Lininger formula. Questionnaires are used as a data collecting tool, while Structural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Squares is used for analysis. The research found that: (1) Training has a direct positive and significant effect on organizational commitment (T-Statistics: 32.016, P-Values: 0.000); (2) Training has a direct positive and significant effect on teacher performance (T-Statistics: 5.756, P-Values: 0.000); (3) Organizational commitment has a direct positive and significant effect on teacher performance (T-Statistics: 18.685, P-Values: 0.000); (4) Training has a positive and significant indirect effect on teacher performance (T-Statistics: 7.556, P-Values: 0.000). This study found that teacher effectiveness is directly impacted by training and organizational commitment. The impact of professional development on educators' efficiency and effectiveness may be moderated by organizational commitment. Suggestions for enhancing organizational commitment and training in order to improve teacher performance.

Increasing the success of teacher performance is largely determined by the leadership style of a school principal in his capacity as a leader. This research aims to obtain data results regarding: (1). Increasing teacher work discipline through the leadership style of the school principal. (2). The principal through his leadership style is able to increase teacher work motivation. (3). Increased teacher responsibility through the leadership style of the school principal. (4). In improving teacher performance, there are obstacles or constraints faced by school principals. This approach uses a qualitative approach through descriptive methods. With data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies. From the results of this research it can be concluded that: (1). In order to improve discipline, an instructive leadership style (telling) is applied by the school principal. (2). In increasing teacher work motivation, a consultative (selling) leadership style is applied by the school principal. (3). In increasing teacher responsibility, the school principal applies a delegative leadership style. (4) In learning, there are obstacles or obstacles faced by school principals, namely, decreased teacher discipline, reduced teacher work motivation, and low teacher responsibility in learning. There are suggestions from the author so that the desired goals can be achieved well and maximally, a good leadership style can be applied that is optimally suited to the situation and conditions by the school principal.
