The Application of Information Technology in Teaching at University and College Levels in the Context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), characterized by rapid advancements in Information Technology (IT), the integration of these technologies into higher education has become imperative. This paper explores the transformative impact of IT on teaching methodologies at the university and college levels. Through a comprehensive review of literature, case studies, and qualitative analysis, the study examines how institutions are leveraging IT tools such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and immersive technologies to enhance learning experiences. Key findings highlight the benefits of IT adoption, including improved student engagement, personalized learning paths, and the cultivation of future-ready skills essential in a digital economy. However, challenges such as infrastructure readiness and faculty training remain significant barriers. By addressing these challenges and embracing innovative teaching strategies, higher education can effectively navigate the complexities of the 4IR, ensuring graduates are equipped to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION / ԹՎԱՅԻՆ ՏԵԽՆՈԼՈԳԻԱՆԵՐԻ ԴԵՐԸ ՏՆՏԵՍՈՒԹՅԱՆ ՓՈԽԱԿԵՐՊՄԱՆ ԳՈՐԾՈՒՄ

Over the past few years, scientists have been focusing on changes occurring both globally and in national economies, resulting in both positive and negative consequences, as well as all potential risks associated with the transformation of the economy and the integration of digital technologies into various aspects of public life. The main goal of this scientific article is to identify the impact of information and telecommunication technologies on digital transformation and the development of countries' economies by studying and analyzing international indices. Within the framework of the article, scientific, logical, as well as analytical and synthetic methods were used. With the help of indices developed by experts from the World Economic Forum, the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations, and Surfshark VPN, assessments of the degree of digital development of countries and the quality of digital life were conducted, keeping RA at the center of the study. Factors influencing the digital transformation of the economy are identified, the weaknesses and strengths of the Republic of Armenia are highlighted, and measures to correct the situation are proposed.

THE ONTOLOGY OF NETWORK WARFARE: THE ESSENCE AND CONSEQUENCES

The constitution of a new space for the functioning of social reality due to the impact of information and communication technologies on all spheres of human activity contributed to the transformation of traditional military operations, which resulted in the spread of network wars. The networking and digitalization of society has led to a change in human existence. Cognitive, informational, social, and psychological aspects of network processes form a new picture of the world, creating conditions for changing people's mentality and behavior. Therefore, the identification of the ontological foundations of network warfare is of particular importance. The disclosure of its essence is a prerequisite for the development of measures to preserve the security of the statedevelopment. The transformation of the mechanism of datainformational impact on the consciousness and meaning of both an individual and large social groups has led to a change in the civic position of the individual, expanding the possibilities for manipulating public opinion. The formation of new network structures and the spread of cyberterrorism are modifying the world order. Network wars have become an integral phenomenon of the modern realityexistence. Their attribute, which determines the specifics of the conflict unfolding, is the destructive use of information. Information disseminated on the Internet forms social content. Thus, new conditions are being created for the aggravation of contradictions, including the world community in the zone of confrontation, manipulating the behavior of its representatives, creating opportunities for non-contact warfare.

Dampak Teknologi Informasi Terhadap Pendidikan Karakter Di Indonesia

This study aims to determine the impact of information technology on character education in Indonesia. As well as knowing the ethical values of students in Indonesia and also knowing how the government improves the values of character education caused by current information technology. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The development of technology in modern times is increasingly rapid and we cannot avoid it, the development of technology today not only has a positive impact on people's lives, but also has a negative impact, one of which is in character education, the importance of the role of parents and teachers in character education. From the results of the study it was found that there are students now who are still very lacking in having character education caused by technology.

Information technology, market congestion, and economic geography

I investigate the impact of economic integration, in terms of trade costs and information technology, on the interregional location patterns of retail firms by introducing three features into a new economic geography model: individuals consume only a restricted number of varieties; firms compete for customer acquisition; and the advancement of information technology enables consumers to easily perceive and buy products sold by firms in distant regions. I consider two possibilities regarding competition for attention: relative competition, in which a firm can attract more consumers by advertising more than the average level, and absolute competition, in which each firm competes with another to enhance the share of its advertisement in the market. I show that consumption variety is richer in the agglomerated region, but spatial consumption inequality shrinks as information technology develops. A reduction in trade costs may cause the redispersion of economic activities under sufficiently low trade costs only in the case of absolute competition. This is more likely when competition for attention is fierce and information technology is not fully developed. The results not only support the complementarity between information technology and cities but also provide a new insight that competition among firms is an important factor governing the impact of information technology on economic geography.

Online course as a means of developing master's professional competencies: results of a pedagogical experiment

The article proposes a solution to a scientific problem, which is to substantiate the feasibility of using online courses in the professional training of masters in the pedagogical university, to develop an online course and experimentally test its effectiveness as a means of developing the professional competencies of masters in the speciality 014~Secondary Education (Mathematics). The author used the following methods of scientific research: pedagogical experiment, observation (for systematic perception and analysis of learning activities, motivation and personal growth of students in the context of blended learning), testing (to determine the level of logical thinking and development of students’ professional competences), questionnaire (to monitor the ergonomics and efficiency of the online course and the Mathematics teacher’s e-portfolio), expert evaluation of the developed online course, and methods of mathematical statistics (for proper processing of experimental data and verification of the online course’ effectiveness). The results of the control stage of the study indicate a positive trend in the development of mathematical, information and educational, methodological, psychological and pedagogical, and professional and technological competencies of students in the experimental group. The final test of the online course was chosen as a tool for determining the level of mathematical competencies of the masters in the experimental group. The reliability of the assessment of the masters’ professional competencies was confirmed by testing the hypothesis of the normal distribution of test results according to the Shapiro-Wilk test. In addition, a close correlation between students' academic achievement level in an online course and the level of logical thinking development was substantiated using the Student’s t-test. Prospects for further research include the development of online courses on Mathematics teaching methods with an emphasis on methodical, professional, and technological competencies; a detailed study of the impact of the latest information technologies (artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, web programming, etc.) on the development of students’ information and educational professional competences in distance and blended learning.

Information Technology Impact on Business Model: Case Study Peer to Peer Lending Company

Current technological developments encourage companies to re-evaluate their organizational business models to take advantage of technological advances. This research explores the impact of information technology in business model transformation at peer-to-peer lending company. PT XYZ is one of a financial technology (fintech) company in Indonesia which was originally engaged in the traditional lending and borrowing business and then transformed into peer-to-peer lending and then developed Supply Chain Financing (SCF) with a Business to Business (B2B) scheme which was previously only done by banks. The IT Impact Map analysis conducted in this study shows this company’s strategic transformation in adopting technology, IT has an impact on company strategy and value through business process reengineering and allows companies to capture new opportunities.

Impact of information technology and industrial development on corporate ESG practices: Evidence from a pilot program in China

In the context of China's rapid digital transformation and emphasis on sustainable development, this study explores the impact of the Pilot Program of the Integration of Informatization and Industrialization (PPII) on corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The research addresses the challenge of understanding how government-led digital initiatives influence sustainable business practices using an exogenous policy shock to mitigate self-selection bias and endogeneity concerns. Employing a stacked difference-in-differences method, the study finds that PPII significantly enhances ESG ratings of manufacturing firms, driven by increased green innovation and improved information quality. The positive effects are more pronounced in state-owned enterprises, large firms, firms with higher institutional ownership, and those located in central cities. This research underscores the synergy between digital transformation and sustainable development, providing empirical support for the efficacy of digital technology–led industrial policies in promoting ESG practices and achieving long-term economic and environmental goals.

Comparative Analysis of the Impact of Advanced Information Technologies on the International Real Estate Market

This study examines the impact of advanced information technologies, such as big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), on the global real estate market. Through comparative analysis of real estate markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, and specific case studies from the US, UK, and China, we quantified the effectiveness of these technologies from 2018 to 2023. Our findings show that big data analytics improved market forecasting accuracy by 15.2%, IoT in smart buildings reduced energy consumption by 10.3% and enhanced security by 17.5%, and AI in property management increased operational efficiency by 17.6% and reduced maintenance costs by 13.2%. North America showed the highest technology acceptance, with a 20%-30% improvement in market efficiency, followed by Europe at 15%-25%, and Asia at 10%-20%. The successful application of these technologies depends on policy environment, market acceptance, and enterprise management. This research offers valuable insights and quantitative evidence for policymakers, industry practitioners, and researchers, highlighting the need for future studies on the integrated effects and long-term impacts of technology convergence.

Impact of Information and Communication Technologies and Renewable Energy Consumption on Carbon Emissions in Africa

The pursuit of economic growth has implications for carbon emissions and climate change. Achieving low carbon development is important for attaining the targets of the sustainable development goals. Africa is often described as a largely import-dependent continent. The continent also requires significant investment in information and communication technologies (ICT) and renewable energy to achieve low-carbon economic growth. However, empirical evidence on the joint impacts of imports of goods and services, clean energy use, ICT, and economic growth on carbon emissions in Africa is scanty and mixed. This paper investigated the impacts of information and communication technologies, renewable energy consumption, import and economic growth on carbon emissions by using rich data on total per capita carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, economic growth, import of goods and services, renewable energy consumption, fixed telephone subscriptions, mobile cellular subscriptions, and individuals using the internet in Africa (2001 ─ 2020) obtained from the World development indicators (WDI) database. Using the Panel autoregressive distributed lag model (PARDL), we found that mobile cellular subscriptions, and level of economic growth significantly increased per capita CO2 emissions in Africa in the long run while renewable energy consumption and technologies and import of goods and services significantly decreased per capita CO2 emissions in the long run. We conclude that information and communication technologies, level of economic growth, import of goods and services, and renewable energy consumption exert impacts on carbon emissions in Africa.

Study on the Impact of Information Technology on Chinese Language Teaching

With the rapid development of information technology, its application in the field of education is becoming more and more widespread, especially in Chinese language teaching. The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of information technology on Chinese language teaching and learning, and to analyse the current status of its application in terms of teaching mode, teaching resources, and teachers' roles, as well as the impact of these applications on teaching effectiveness and learners' development. The paper finds that the application of information technology can enhance teaching effectiveness, meet learners' individual needs, and promote educational equity and universality. However, it also faces challenges such as uneven development of technology, cyber security, and allocation of educational resources. Therefore, this paper proposes corresponding coping strategies, including strengthening teachers' IT training, optimising education management policies, and reforming the education evaluation system. The concluding section summarises the positive changes brought by information technology to Chinese language teaching and points out the important directions for future research and development.

The Effect of Innovation and Information Technology on Financial Resilience

This paper aims to examine the views of managers, accountants, and auditors on the impact of innovation and information technology on financial resilience, and answers the question of whether in today’s businesses, which are rapidly changing and evolving and where events are unpredicted, organizations can increase their economic resilience through innovation and information technology. The research population was managers, accountants, and auditors of small and medium-sized companies in Razavi Khorasan in 2024, and the study was conducted with a questionnaire in both paper and electronic forms through in-person visits to the companies under research, where 357 auditors and 371 accountants and managers completed the questionnaire. The findings show that the innovation of products and services and the expansion of information technology increase the financial resilience of organizations. It is suggested that organizations increase the innovation of products and services and use information technology to eliminate and take effective action in dealing with possible risks. The findings suggest exciting facts about the effect of advanced digital space on financial resilience in organizations active in Iran’s economy, as well as possible damages in this field that cause delays in digitalization and, as a result, the economic resilience of organizations.

Unveiling the Power of Adaptive InformationTechnology: A Catalyst for Elevating SME Performance in Indonesia – A Case Study in Malang City

This research seeks to comprehend the impact of information technology (IT) utilization on the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malang. The study investigates the perceptions of SMEs stakeholders through a survey involving 90 SMEs respondents in Malang. Employing a questionnaire and utilizing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method for data analysis, the research reveals positive and significant outcomes for latent variables such as performance expectations, business expectations, social influence, hedonic motivation, and habits concerning SMEs behavior in adopting information technology, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT 2). However, the latent variable of price value does not exert a significant influence on SMEs behavioral interest in adopting information technology. Additionally, SMEs behavioral interest positively and significantly influences their usage behavior in utilizing information technology, and the subsequent usage behavior has a positive and significant effect on SME performance.

The Impact of ICT Usage on Energy Consumption Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability in Developing Countries: An Empirical Analysis

This study examines the impact of Information and Communication Technologies on energy consumption, energy efficiency, CO2 emissions, and renewable energy adoption in developing countries using the time span of 2007 to 2019 has been used. The results of Generalized Method of Moments reveal that ICT has a multifaceted impact on energy dynamics in developing countries. With increase in ICT adoption, energy consumption increase in developing countrues. Moreover, increase in usage increases CO2 emissions. We find that increase in oil prices encourages the adoption of energy-efficient technologies and reduce CO2 emissions. In constrats, we find limited effect of ICT on renewable energy mainly due to infrastructural barriers in developing countries.

Currently, professional (vocational and technical) education occupies an important place in the country's economy, determining the priority of effective training of highly qualified personnel in the state policy of Ukraine.

This research aims to investigate the role of information technology in enhancing school correspondence at MAS PAB 1 Sampali. The introduction of the research explains the importance of using information technology to improve communication effectiveness in the educational environment. The research method used is qualitative with a literature review approach, involving analysis of various related literature. The research objectives are to understand the implementation of digital platforms in school correspondence, the impact of information technology on interaction and social relations in schools, and enhancing communication effectiveness among schools. The research findings indicate that digital platforms have had a positive impact in facilitating online learning, expanding communication networks among students, teachers, and parents, and increasing engagement in school life. However, the use of technology also brings challenges related to privacy and data security that must be addressed with appropriate policies and security measures. In conclusion, information technology has great potential to enhance school communication effectiveness, but its use must be managed wisely to ensure data security and privacy are maintained.

In light of this, the significance of political and ideological education in cultivating socialist successors and builders is becoming increasingly prominent. Humanistic thinking, as a philosophical notion that stresses individual value and dignity and concentrates on the holistic development of an individual, provides a new perspective and theoretical support for ideological and political education. Incorporating humanistic thinking into political and ideological education can not only encourage students individual growth but also make political and ideological education more appealing and effective. In order to offer a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the reform and development of ideological and political education, this study attempts to investigate the application principles and solutions of humanistic thinking in this field.

Exploring the Transformative Impact of ICT Integration in the EFL Classroom

This article examines the transformative impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. ICT facilitates effective learning by providing access to diverse information, allowing students to relate it to their courses and engage in discussions with peers and educators. The benefits extend to EFL teachers, enabling a shift towards learner-centered approaches through multimedia resources and direct contact with English speakers around the world. The objectives of the study encompass the analysis of the transformative use of ICT in ILE classrooms, the identification of best practices and tools used by educators, and the recognition of challenges associated with this integration. The article selection process involved filtering those related to ICT in EFL classrooms, excluding those focused solely on the COVID-19 pandemic to maintain a perspective in which ICT was not the only resource available. ProQuest served as the primary database, supplemented with cross-referencing in ResearchGate, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The review covers articles published between 2018 and 2024, using a variety of research methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed studies. Three key research themes emerge benefits of ICT use in EFL classrooms, challenges in ICT integration, and ICT methodologies and tools employed. In addition, frequency tables are presented detailing the distribution of articles by research topic and country.
