IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Student Branch Chapter (SBC) Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, New Delhi, India, and JMI student branch jointly organized a virtual panel discussion on the topic “Power Electronics-Reliability, Artificial Intelligence (AI) are future research directions.” The event was organized on 21 June 2022 on the occasion of PELS Day ( <xref ref-type="fig" rid="fig1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Figure 1</xref> ), which was celebrated all across the world. The panelist was distinguished world renowned professors in the area of power electronics and green energy. They included Prof. Frede Blaabjerg, past president of PELS and IEEE Fellow, Prof. Huai Wang of Aalborg University, Denmark, Prof. Saad Mekhilef, the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and IEEE Fellow, Prof. Rajesh Kuma, MNIT, Jaipur, India, Dr. Sreenivas Karanki, Head, IEEE PELS India Committee, IIT Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Ahteshamul Haque, faculty advisor IEEE PELS SBC and branch counsellor JMI.
