ABSTRACT Crochet models of a hyperbolic plane are very popular as they help to visualize complicated objects in hyperbolic geometry. We present another way to make crochet models as a part of a triangulated plane and also provide an example of a cylinder in hyperbolic space. This approach assists in understanding of various properties of hyperbolic geometry such as the relation between edges and angles in a hyperbolic triangle, tiling of a hyperbolic plane or Nash–Kuiper embedding theorem.
