A hybrid dispersion compensating approach utilizing fiber grating and optical phase conjugator is investigated in this paper. A comparative analysis of non-compensated link, fiber grating based compensated link and hybrid compensated link is also presented. These different schemes are evaluated in 1100 km long Radio over fiber (RoF) based network. It is reported that compensated links provide larger transmission range than non-compensated link. The hybrid compensated link outperforms fiber grating based compensated link by offering acceptable Bit Error Rate (BER) of 10-8 over a successful transmission over the distance of 850 km.
