The first part of this book was led by a historical vision and synthetic purposes, the avatars of the recently named “theatre pedagogy” being reviewed in their different aspects: theatre in school, school theatre, curricular design, institutional programs, teacher training, drama in the classroom, focusing mainly on the case of Mexico, although without leaving aside, certainly, the place that our country occupies in the framework of global culture. The second part goes into a pedagogical perspective regarding children’s developmental processes, the educational aspects of theatre and, above all, of that phenomenon which is common to theatrical art and to a certain genre of games, usually known as theatricality.
