In the direction of Kyiv-Lviv, the formalization of the technology of work in the transportation of passengers by high-speed rail transport was carried out. To cancel the night passenger train, it was necessary to identify a route that is inefficient and which upgrades will bring profits in the shortest possible time.It is determined that the 141K / 142S route is less efficient than other options considered. Traffic time is 12 hours. 53 minutes taking into account stopping times at 24 under populated stations. Therefore, it is offered to cancel this route, instead to buy a new rolling stock manufactured by the Kryukiv Wagon, because it is cheaper than the foreign Hyundai models, but regarding they are the same the technical characteristics.The velocity of the dual system high-speed electric train after a modernization of the railway track will be 4 hours 17 minutes It is determined the smaller travel time, the higher density of population. Passengers appreciate their time and prefer short-term comfortable transportation in that traveling of more than five hours in sitting pose is physically difficult to tolerate. Therefore, the number of stops should be reduced to three in the most populated cities, as well as in Kovel, with a possibility of changing a train to the city ofHelmand perspective modernization of this direction.To transport passengers between under populated transitional stations, it is proposed to run regional express trains. Hence, passengers will be able to reach the most populated cities and make a change to high-speed electric trains if it is needed. Velocity will increase, but it will be possible to reach the place of destination as the same price as existing high-speed routes, so it is likely that passengers will prefer the newly introduced route. In addition, it is proposed to strengthen the railway lane on the route of the night trainKiev- Korosten - Kovel - Lviv.The feasibility of implementing the proposed technology has been determined. It has been proven, that it will be effective to take off the night passenger train and strengthen the railway lane to start operating high-speed dual-system electric trains. The payback period for the railway infrastructure enhancement option was 9 years. By the tenth year of exploitation, this project will be generating profit that overweighs the revenue of 141K overnight passenger train. The internal rate of return and the profitability of the proposed project were determined. The overall profitability is inferior to the profitability of using the overnight passenger train 141K / 142SH. This means that the cost of a day time high-speed train is higher than that of a night passenger train, but revenue is only available in its tenth year, so profitability will increase and this is not the main criteria for deciding whether to implement the proposed project or not. The expediency of strengthening the railway infrastructure in the direction ofKiev- Lviv proves the calculated economic effect of 2019-2020 operation periods. The results are presented graphically. Even without the residual value, there is an obvious increase of income from passenger transportation by day time high-speed electric train.
