The present work is devoted to the wear process of mandrels of screw rolling mill “MISIS 130D” during seamless pipes manufacturing of stainless steel X12CrNiTi18-9. The software application QFORM was used to simulate the process of mandrel wear during rolling of billets of 700 mm long based on the finite element method was carried. The results showed that the wear of the mandrels was not irregular along their length. Resulting in mathematical analysis data of modeling the wear dependence of mandrels of high-temperature alloy X38CrMoV5-1 on the major various conditions of the rolling process was established. The results showed that the wear of the mandrels of the rolling mill can be diminished by the selection of optimal rolling conditions and using the moving mandrels.
