Strategi Perempuan Kepala Keluarga Dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Ekonomi Di Kelurahan Kukusan Kota Depok

A female head of household is a woman who has full responsibility in assuming the role of family leader, which means being the backbone of the family to support her family. In addition to bearing the economic burden for the family, women family heads also carry the domestic burden as housekeepers and child caregivers. Therefore, this study will describe the strategies applied by female heads of households in Kukusan, Depok City in facing economic challenges. Economic challenges include women's poverty, women's discrimination, and women's double burden. Through descriptive qualitative research methods, it can be concluded that women family heads in Kukusan, apply three strategies to face economic challenges, these strategies are in the form of a network strategy, which is a form of utilizing social assistance programs and informal relationships with the surrounding environment to activate their respective jobs. The second strategy is an active strategy that can be more optimal if the family has a higher initiative to optimize the potential of themselves and their families in earning a living. And the third strategy is a passive strategy, namely a preventive strategy to manage finances with a priority scale at certain times has been implemented as well as possible.

Use of Healthy Family Toilets In Pangkajene Kepulauan District Village

According to World Bank data in 2010, the existence of latrines in Indonesia is around 22%. Nationally, for urban areas it is 79% and for rural areas 49%. Most of the waste disposal is still carried out into rivers or using dug wells that do not meet the requirements, thereby polluting groundwater. Health development is essentially an effort made by all components of the Indonesian nation which aims to increase awareness, ability and desire to live healthily for everyone in order to achieve the highest level of public health (Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health of 2009 Article 3). One of the health developments carried out is the development of adequate sanitation for the community. This research aims to determine the factors related to the use of family latrines in Pangkep Village. Based on data from the Community Health Center, Pangkep Village is the village with the lowest percentage of households with access to healthy toilets. Research methods; using quantitative analytics with cross sectional methods complemented by qualitative analytics. The population of all 433 family heads living in Pangkep Village using stratified random sampling obtained a sample of 228 family heads. Research results; shows that there is a significant relationship between family latrine use and knowledge (p value 0.019), attitude (p value 0.014), economic status (p value 0.000), latrine ownership (p value 0.000), availability of clean water (p value 0.029 ), role of health workers (p value 0.000), as well as support from community and religious leaders (p value 0.000). The variable of latrine ownership is the most dominant in family latrine use with a prevalence risk (5.879), which means that respondents who do not have a latrine have a 5.879 times greater chance of not using a family latrine. So it can be concluded that there is still low awareness of the community in Pangkep Village using family latrines. For this reason, it is recommended that health workers continue to provide guidance and education to the community and include community participation in implementing the program.

Determining factors of preparedness of heads of families in facing flood disasters in river watersheds

Flood disasters are events caused by poor water and land conditions as well as high rainfall. Flood incidents in North Sumatra Province during the 2002-2019 period reached 450 incidents with the number of victims reaching 512 people and injuries reaching 12,630 people. Seeing the existing conditions and considering the large number of fatalities, to reduce the impact of flooding, community preparedness is a very important factor. Community preparedness Community preparedness in disaster management has an important role, because it will influence community actions when a disaster occurs. Based on BPBD data, in September 2018 there was a major flood and caused 5 sub-districts to be flooded, including Medan Johor Sub-district. The aim of this research is to analyze the determinants of preparedness of heads of families in facing flood disasters in the Kwala river basin. Bekala Village, Medan Johor District. This research is an analytical study with a cross sectional design from January to August 2022 with a sample of 170 heads of families. The research results showed that there were 104 heads of families who had preparedness to face floods. There is a relationship between knowledge (p=0.018), attitude (p=0.029), socialization (p= 0.033) and length of stay (p=0.024) with the preparedness of the head of the family in facing flood disasters, while the variables age and education are not related to the preparedness of the head. family in dealing with flood disasters. It is recommended to the sub-district government and the people of Medan Johor to clean up river flows, to sub-district officials to carry out disaster response outreach and training and to heads of families to carry out flood management simulations periodically so that each member knows what to do if a flood disaster occurs.

Community vulnerability and resilience to flood disaster in Losari District, Brebes Regency

Brebes Regency is an area that has a high level of vulnerability to flooding. One of the areas with a high level of vulnerability is in Losari District. The flood disaster in Losari District occurred due to the overflow of the Cisanggarung River. The aims of the research: (1) to analyze the community’s vulnerability to floods on social, economic, physical and environmental aspects in Losari District; (2) assessing the vulnerability of the people of Losari District to floods; (3) analyzing the resilience of the Losari sub-district community to floods. This research is a quantitative esearch with a survey method. The study population came from the heads of families in the Losari District who live along the Cisanggarung watershed. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method. Statistical descriptive analysis was used to analyze vulnerability in social, economic, physical and environmental aspects, as well as community resilience to floods. The results of the study show that: (1) More than half of the people of Losari District have a high category of social vulnerability; high category of economic vulnerability; high category of physical vulnerability; and low category environmental vulnerability. (2) More than half of the people of Losari District fall into the high vulnerability category. (3) The resilience of the people of Losari District to floods is included in the low category.

Family Resilience in Urban Extreme Poverty

The impact of poverty causes pressure that weakens family resilience. Although measurements of family resilience are available, there are not many up-to-date measures for urban poor families in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of family resilience and the conditions of vulnerability of extreme urban poor families. The research subjects were the heads of families (N=416) spread across five sub-districts in the city of Bandung, with the highest number of poverties, where most of the subjects worked as daily laborers. The measurement uses a scale of family resilience through four dimensions: the quality of physical, economic, psychological, social, and family structure as demographic resilience. Data were analyzed with descriptive and correlational statistics using JASP 0.15. The results show that poor families have a level of fulfillment of family resilience qualities of 16.5 percent (12.62 percent on the dimensions of physical endurance, 12.46 percent on the economic dimension, 17.33 percent on the psychological dimension and 19.95 percent on the social dimension). Several dimensions have a significant positive relationship, with the highest level on the relationship between dimensions of physical and economic resilience (r=.768). Six conditions of vulnerability were found, namely related to job instability and income that is less than needed, environmental cleanliness and insufficient food consumption, misunderstanding of family goals, and lack of gratitude for conditions. The research findings show two sub-dimensions in each dimension of social resilience and psychological resilience. Suggestions and implications are directed at recommendations for urban extreme poverty alleviation programs and optimizing family quality programs, especially aspects of independence.

Knowledge, attitude and practise regarding Mosquito borne diseases in urban and rural areas of Maval, Western Maharashtra

Background: Mosquito-borne diseases, have always been a serious health concern in South East Asian countries, particularly India. Maharashtra was reported as one of the highly endemic areas in India and recorded the second-highest number of deaths due to Dengue. The comprehensive management of mosquito-borne diseases hinges not solely on the efforts of health authorities but also on the community's understanding, mindset, and proactive approach in pursuing timely treatment. Aim & Objective: To assess and compare knowledge, attitude and practices of people residing in both the strata regarding Mosquito borne diseases. Methods and Material: A comparative analysis was undertaken in the Maval region, encompassing both rural and urban settings, through a cross-sectional study. Taluka. A sample size of 250 houses—125 houses in each stratum were surveyed. Data collection involved interviews with head of family or next available person. Statistical analysis used: Microsoft excel was used for chi quare and z value. Results: Awareness regarding Mosquito borne disease was 87.2% in urban population and 73.6% in rural population. Conclusions: There are gaps in understanding the timing of Mosquito bites and the identification of breeding sites. This underscores the need for improved knowledge and awareness, with focus on Mosquito control measures to effectively combat these diseases.

At the beginning of 2023 in RT 03, Bumiayu Village, Malang City, the number of heads of families reached 198 heads of families (KK). The compulsory expansion from 1 (one) RT to 2 (two) or more RTs is only carried out when the RTs exceed the number of 50 (fifty) households. Therefore, this community service aims to accompany the expansion of the Rukun Neighbor institution to accelerate welfare in RT 03 Bumiayu Village, Malang City. The main focus of human instinct is one's own family, from which one finds physical, mental, moral, intellectual and spiritual peace. According to art experts, the first unit of family life is husband and wife and then their children also become a part of this system. The joint family system is also a form of family life in Pakistan. Man by nature prefers to live together instead of being isolated, so naturally he cannot be confined to his family, but by marriage and kinship he connects with many other families, when many families of different regions and languages. Inevitably, along with Islamic festivals, cultural and national festivals such as Eid, Shab-e-Barat, Mangani, Mahindi, Rakshati, Aqeeqah and many other festivals of happiness and sorrow become part of the society which has positive and negative effects. Individually and collectively affect the personality of every human being, especially the competition in appearance and display to maintain family dignity not only increases the financial burden on family heads / parents but also causes diseases like jealousy and resentment due to these festivals which in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah, the remedy is inevitable.

COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, AND BEHAVIOR TOWARDS RABIES IN BANJAR BATUSARI, SANGEH VILLAGE, ABIANSEMAL DISTRICT, BADUNG REGENCY

Rabies is a zoonotic disease caused by the genus Lyssavirus of the Rhabdoviridae family which is very fatal. In Indonesia, rabies has infected 26 of the 34 existing provinces. Bali has tested positive for rabies since 2008. The government and the people of Bali have made efforts to control rabies by carrying out mass rabies vaccinations for dogs, eliminating dogs that are not owned, and conducting education about the dangers of rabies to the public. This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of the community towards rabies in Banjar Batusari, Sangeh Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali. Data collection in this study was carried out directly by going to the field to conduct surveys and interviews with the community. The number of heads of families in Banjar Batusari is 153 families. Data obtained from the results of interviews regarding aspects of knowledge, aspects of attitudes, and aspects of the behaviour of the dog keeping community were tabulated using Ms. Excel, the data were analysed descriptively and qualitatively and displayed in the form of tables or graphs. The results showed that 100% of the knowledge of the people in Banjar Batusari had a high level of knowledge. The attitude of the people of Banjar Batusari can be categorized as a 100% positive attitude towards rabies. For the level of behaviour of the Banjar Batusari community, it is classified as good behaviour at 68.8%. Thus, the knowledge, attitude and behaviour of the community is expected to control rabies in the research location so that rabies cases are very small and make it easier to carry out rabies prevention and control there.

Will wealth inequality decrease happiness?-Empirical evidence from China.

This article delves into the broad social and economic impacts of wealth inequality, specifically focusing on its effects on happiness, as analyzed using micro survey data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS). This article employs the panel OLS regression method with time and province fixed effects for the main result and heterogeneity analysis, then uses the mediating effect and moderating effect test for the mechanisms. The article presents several key findings: 1. Impact of Wealth Inequality on Happiness. The study confirms that wealth inequality significantly reduces happiness, a conclusion reinforced by a range of consistency tests and endogeneity checks. 2. Heterogeneity Analysis. Three areas of heterogeneity are examined: Hukou status, education level, and family members' average income. The results indicate that the happiness of families with a family head holding an urban Hukou, higher education, or a higher per-member income level is less affected by wealth inequality. 3. Mechanisms Affecting Happiness. At the micro-level, the article identifies two mediating pathways-health and marital status-through which wealth inequality negatively influences happiness. At the macro-level, it is found that social security expenditure and economic development can moderate these effects and enhance subjective happiness under the same conditions of wealth inequality. The contributions of this study are specific as: 1. This study addresses some of the existing gaps in the research regarding the relationship between wealth inequality and happiness. 2. The article utilizes relative deprivation as a measure of wealth inequality, considered a more apt metric for studying happiness compared to absolute inequality. 3. This research offers insights into the mechanisms behind the observed effects, considering both micro-level (individual and family) and macro-level (societal and economic) factors.

Identifikasi Masalah Kesehatan Masyarakat: Sebuah Study Cross Sectional

Background of Study: Public health issues in Indonesia are still an important concern for policy makers and health workers. Low public awareness is one of the causes of not achieving a high degree of public health. This study aims to determine the description of the public health situation in Pringgolayan Village, Yogyakarta. Methods: This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a population of all heads of families registered in Pringgolayan Hamlet totaling 117 heads of families. Sample calculation using the formula and obtained 100 samples. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection time was conducted on February 10-17, 2023 in Pringgolayan, Yogyakarta. The data that has been obtained is by conducting interviews on several question indicators consisting of infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, occupational health and safety, availability of family medicinal plants (TOGA), drinking water facilities, clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and history of mental disorders. Interviews were conducted with family representatives by visiting from house to house in Pringgolayan. Results: The identification of public health problems is described through 5 indicators, namely infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, occupational health and safety in households, TOGA plants and drinking water facilities, clean and healthy living behaviors and mental disorders. Each indicator has a category whose assessment is based on the behavior and actual conditions of the Pringgolayan community. Conclusion: There are five indicators that become health problems, namely hypertension, diarrhea, not using tools to move heavy loads, and not having TOGA plants. Fostering Resilience: An In-depth Investigation into the Dynamics of Growth and Development in Slum Children

The goal of the study is to understand the socio-economic and educational circumstances of Slum dwellers in the Rajshahi City Corporation. The study was carried out in the Jahaj Ghat area, which is located on the Padma River. 31 street children were chosen to collect data at random from the vulnerable slum. Interviews and questionnaires were conducted with the kids and their family heads. The finding reveals that the households are at significant risk related to housing, shelter, sanitation, water, social security, education, health, and livelihood troubles. Finally, the study recommended resolving the existing problems which will empower the parents of the slum dwellers to provide adequate support for their children to continue schooling.

Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Perilaku Buang Air Besar Sembarangan pada Masyarakat di Desa Oelpuah Kecamatan Kupang Tengah

Open defecation is an unhealthy behavior of defecating in fields, forests, bushes and other open areas, which is allowed to spread to cause health problems. Open defecation is influenced by various factors such as knowledge, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and support from health workers. This study aims to determine the factors associated with open defecation behavior in the community in Oelpuah village, Kupang Tengah sub-district. This study is a quantitative study using an analytical survey method with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study were all heads of families in Oelpuah Village with a sample size of 77 people obtained from the results of Lameshow formula calculation then taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was done by filling out a questionnaire, after which the data were analyzed using chi-square test. The results of statistical tests showed that there were three factors that had a significant relationship with open defecation behavior, namely knowledge (p-value = 0.004), attitude (p-value = 0.007), socio-economic (pvalue = 0.006) and support of health workers (0,001). The conclusion of this study is that knowledge, attitude, socio-economic and support of health workers factors are associated with open defecation behavior.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pemanfaatan Lahan Kolam Lele sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Stunting

Nutritional problem that still often occurs in toddlers is stunting. The prevalence of stunting in NTB was recorded at 33.5%, still above the national figure of 29.6%. Empower the community to use catfish pond land as an effort to prevent stunting. Implementation methods include preparation, implementation and evaluation. The preparation stage involved obtaining permits from institutions and the local government. The implementation stage involved providing material about using land as a catfish pond to prevent stunting to 30 heads of families. In the evaluation of activities, there was an increase in knowledge about handling stunting and how to prevent it by using catfish pond land as an effort. Conclusion: Together with the village government, the community will try to utilize the yard as a way to prevent stunting in toddlers

KONTRIBUSI PENDAPATAN USAHA TOKO KELONTONG TERHADAP TOTAL PENDAPATAN KELUARGA di DESA SINGKUP, KECAMATAN PASAWAHAN – KABUPATEN KUNINGAN

Singkup Village. Pasawahan District – Kuningan Regency is a Village Fostered by the Academic Community of Catur Insan Cendekia University, Cirebon City. The purpose of this study was to conduct an assessment of how big the contribution of grocery shop business income is to total income in Singkup Village, Pasawahan District - Cirebon Regency. The research method that the authors use in this research is descriptive method. The population in this study were 42 heads of families, this research was a population study. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data is then analysed in tabular form (percentage). The results of this study indicate that: (1) the main occupation of the head of the Singkup Village family is as a farmer, construction worker, teacher, breeder, driver and private employee, (2) the average main income of the head of the Singkup Village family is Rp. 2,703,500 per month, (3) the average profit from the grocery shop business is Rp. 1,763,000.- per month, (4) the average percentage contribution of grocery shop business income to total family income is 39.47%. The contribution resulting from this research is to add insight to lecturers and students according to their field of knowledge, the campus has provided an analysis of the income contribution of grocery stalls in the Foster Village, especially those who have a grocery shop business in Singkup Village. The novelty of this research is the author's suggestion to grocery shop entrepreneurs to be able to increase their business income.

Hubungan Perilaku Pencegahan 3M Plus Dengan Kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Bintuhan Kabupaten Kaur

Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) says that in 2022, every year it is estimated that 50-100 million cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) will occur in the world. The highest number of DHF in Kaur Regency is in the Bintuhan Community Health Center working area, namely 21 cases in 2022. This research aimed to determine the relationship between 3M Plus prevention behavior and DHF incidents in the Bintuhan Community Health center working area, Kaur Regency. This type of research was Analytical Survey, with a Case Control research design. The case population was all heads of families who had family members suffering from DHF in the period January 2022-April 2023 in the Bintuhan Community Health Center working area, Kaur Regency, totaling 33 families. The control population was all families whose family members did not suffer from DHF in the Bintuhan Community Health Center working area in the period January 2022-April 2023, totaling 3,525 families. The number of samples in this study was 66 heads of families consisting of 33 case samples and 33 control samples, with a ratio of 1:1. The data analysis used in this research was univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The research results showed that of the 66 heads of families, 39 heads of families (59.1%) implemented 3M Plus prevention behavior and 33 heads of families (50.0%) experienced DHF. There was a relationship between 3M plus prevention behavior and the incidence of DHF in the strong relationship category and odd ratio (OR) = 48,438. It is recommended that the Bintuhan Community Health Center, Kaur Regency, develop strategies for preventing and controlling DHF, one of which is holding aducation about DHF.

Gambaran Faktor-Faktor Pendorong Perilaku Pengelolaan Sampah Rumah Tangga Pada Warga Di Kawasan Kayu Tiga Cekdam Kecamatan Sirimau Kota Ambon

According to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2006) waste is something that is not used, not used, not liked or something that is discarded that comes from human activities and does not occur by itself. The issue of waste in Ambon City has become a serious problem, because the volume of waste generated in Ambon City is 220 tons per day. Meanwhile, the waste transportation capacity that can be carried out by janitors is only 160 tons per day. This limited transport capacity will greatly affect the system and capacity of conventional waste management at the Integrated Waste Management Installation (IPST) in the Toisapu Ambon area. This study aims to determine the description of knowledge, attitudes, and community actions related to household waste management in the Kayu Tiga Cekdam Area, Sirimau District, Ambon City. The type of research used was descriptive survey, the population was 77 households (head of family), the sample was 77 households, the sample was taken using total sampling technique. Direct data collection, instrument The research used is a questionnaire, the data is processed manually and assisted by a computer, and the data obtained is presented in text and table form. The results of the study can be seen that the highest knowledge variable 33 (62%) is categorized as good, the highest attitude variable 27 (51%) is categorized as not good and the highest action variable 33 (62%) is categorized as not good. Based on the results of research conducted in the Kayu Tiga Cekdam Area, Sirimau District, Ambon City, it can be concluded that the knowledge behavior of 33 households (62%) is in the good category, the attitude behavior of 27 households (51%) is in the bad category and the action behavior of 33 households (62%) is in the bad category.

Social Determinants of Household Food Security among Rural Families in Kismayo District of Jubaland, Somalia

Food security issues and concerns are very prevalent in Somalia. A significant part of the population face food insecurity in the entire country. Even though global evidence shows that this menace affects mostly the illiterate, families headed by females, poor families, and those households headed by old members of the family, there is dearth of these literature for the case of Somalia. Thus, this study sought to establish family characteristics which influences food security among rural families in Kismayo District of Jubaland State of Somalia. Specifically, the study sought to find out the influence of family income sources, family gender characteristics, family asset diversification and family head background characteristics in determining food security. Cross-sectional design was adopted with a sample of 400 households drawn from five main villages in Kismayo District, namely Abdidhore, Gobweyn, Yontooy, Yaqshinile, and Madhawa using systematic random sampling technique. Primary data was gathered using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive and regression techniques were deployed to analyze data with the aid of SPSS version 20.0. The study has established that family income, age of the household head, gender, and family asset diversification have a statistically significant influence on family food security. Additionally, education of the household head influences family food security. The study recommends that the relevant authorities should create gainful employment for residence of Kismayo District so as to ensure food security. In addition, families should be sensitized on the importance of having diverse assets and, family heads be educated and equipped with basic skills that can help them guide the family toward food security.
