Research Trends in Higher Education Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystems: A Bibliometric Analysis

Entrepreneurship is considered as one of the solutions to support the economy of a country. The rapid development of information and communication technologies introduces opportunities to create new digital ventures. Many giant companies successfully grow their business exponentially, although many of them do not even own products. Many countries, including Indonesia, are keen to support and encourage more people to build digital startups. There are many successes story about entrepreneurship ecosystems that contributes to the success of digital ventures. One of the critical factors of the success of an ecosystem is the availability of campuses that support innovations and talents. Thus, it is critical to find the optimum digital entrepreneurship ecosystem for education to produce new and sustainable digital entrepreneurs—this research attempt to find out the research trends in digital entrepreneurship ecosystems in higher education. The method used in this research was bibliometric analysis using three software, including Publish or Perish, Mendeley Reference Manager, and VOSviewer. The results are presented in a graphical network map of terms in several relevant keywords. This research concludes that while there are many studies about the entrepreneurship ecosystem during 2015-2021, few studied the development of digital entrepreneurship ecosystems in higher education.

Machine Learning for Capillary Pressure Estimation

Summary Capillary pressure plays an essential role in controlling multiphase flow in porous media and is often difficult to be estimated at subsurface conditions. The Leverett capillary pressure function J provides a convenient tool to address this shortcoming; however, its performance remains poor where there is a large scatter in the scaled data. Our aim, therefore, was to reduce the gaps between J curves and to develop a method that allows accurate scaling of capillary pressure. We developed two mathematical expressions based on permeability and porosity values of 214 rock samples taken from North America and the Middle East. Using the values as grouping features, we used pattern-recognition algorithms in machine learning to cluster the original data into different groups. In each wetting phase saturation, we were able to quantify the gaps between the J curves by determining the ratio of the maximum J to the minimum J. Graphical maps were developed to identify the corresponding group for a new rock sample after which the capillary pressure is estimated using the average J curve of the identified group and the permeability and porosity values of the rock sample. This method also provides better performance than the flow zone indicator (FZI) approach. The proposed technique was validated on six rock types and has successfully generated average capillary pressure curves that capture the trends and values of the experimentally measured data by mercury injection. Moreover, the proposed methodology in this study provides an advanced and a machine-learning-oriented approach for rock typing. In this paper, we provide a reliable and easy-to-use method for capillary pressure estimation in the absence of experimentally measured data by mercury injection.

Understanding Slovakian Gas Well Performance and Capability through ArcGIS System Mapping

There are two important territories in Slovakia with functioning gas well operations: the Eastern Slovak Lowland and the Vienna Basin. This article focuses on the creation of electronic monitoring and graphical mapping of the current technical conditions of gas wells in the Eastern Slovak Lowland. An analysis of the gas wells’ current state in the terrain is available. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the current state of gas wells, such as the insufficient processing of gas wells, the lack of summary and uniform records concerning them, and the lack of an electronic system for monitoring the technical security of the wells. The scientific contribution of this article lies in its ability to interpret and address operational problems related to gas wells. Through analogy, the step algorithm expresses the possibility of also using gas wells for oil, geothermal and hydrogeological wells. The intention was to highlight the importance of the need to create a database for the security and strategic needs of the state regarding the storage of natural gas. As of yet, no computer or graphic system has been used in Slovakia to monitor, unify and clarify the actual technical condition of gas wells. Using the ArcGIS electronic and graphical software tool, the mapping and recording of gas wells was carried out in the area under investigation. The mapping was completed with the mentioned technical patterns. These patterns have the information found on individual gas wells. After the information is added to the database, this mapping can also be carried out in another important area with functioning gas wells, such as in the Vienna Basin, which could be another theme for further research in this area.

Explanatory Factors of Business Failure: Literature Review and Global Trends

This study aims to provide a bibliometric analysis of business failure research, recognise the main existing research topics and establish future research challenges. The results, based on a sample of 588 articles, show that the number of published papers and citations has grown steadily, especially in the last 14 years. The most productive and relevant journals, countries, institutions and authors are presented using bibliometric performance indicators. In addition, through the graphical mapping of strategic diagrams, this study identifies the most significant research trends and proposes several directions for future research. The results of this research may be helpful for beginner researchers and experts in business failure, as they contribute to bringing clarity to this line of investigation. These results reveal all the aspects involved in business failure research, analysing its temporal and methodological characterisation, and the most prolific authors who have participated in its study (see, i.e., H. Li), leading journals (see, i.e., Expert Systems with Applications) or academic institutions that have headed the scientific analysis of this business phenomenon. Likewise, it has been possible to identify three main areas in which the research on business failure has been focused: business, management and accounting; economics, econometrics and finance; and social sciences. In addition, a complete, synthesised and organised summary of the various definitions, perspectives and research trends are presented.

Graphic Map Load Measuring Tool – development and verification

ABSTRACT Map load is a map property quantifying the amount of map content in cartographic products. Since the 1960s, various approaches have been examined to determine map-load value to assume the map complexity level. However, none of these approaches has become commonly used to evaluate the map-load level neither during the map-design process nor for maps’ comparison. This paper aims to present an easy-to-use and freely available tool GMLMT (Graphic Map Load Measuring Tool) developed at the Department of Geoinformatics, Palacký University Olomouc. GMLMT applies a metric averaging of the amount of visible structures in a map using an edge-detection approach to measure graphic map load of raster representations of maps. The tool is suitable for a large scope of various map styles and visualisation methods and also provides a visualisation of map-load distribution across the evaluated map layout. This paper describes the process of designing the tool and its verification on both sample map sections presenting various aspects of map complexity and real maps examined in previous research through a user-perceived map load experiment.

Restructuring of an evidence-based practice curriculum and assessment with structural mapping by course outcome verb.

An evidence-based clinical practice (EBCP) subcurriculum within a chiropractic curriculum was restructured to distribute EBCP topics to courses throughout the curriculum. We posited that this would enhance student learning through early exposure, repetition, and the use of progressively more difficult levels of learning. In this paper we describe how we determined if Bloom's verb level trended upward from the beginning of the curriculum to the end and if there were any gaps in presentation of topics periodically in the curriculum. We describe how we determined if the restructured subcurriculum provided adequate integration of topics. EBCP committee chairs created templates of the new structure, solicited feedback from the faculty, and faculty members volunteered to assimilate topics into courses. Support for the faculty included comprehensive PowerPoint production and in-service training. Assessment for trends and gaps was performed of the resultant learning outcomes by mapping 13 quarters against 6 Bloom's verb levels for 19 topics. Fourteen of the topics had increasing linear model trends indicating verb progression. Decreased attention to EBCP topics was identified in some quarters. The graphical mapping process seemed useful to find EBCP topics that did not show progression of Bloom's verb difficulty and gaps in topics in the restructured subcurriculum.

Global research trends in hyperuricemia: a bibliometric and visualized study.

The global trend of research on hyperuricaemia (HUA) has not been well studied. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the trend of research on HUA and compare the findings in publications from different countries, institutions, journals, and authors, to predict the research hotspots. Publications related to HUA were searched using the Science Citation Index-Expanded Web of Science. The data were analysed by using the bibliometric methodology. Additionally, a graphical mapping was generated by using the VOS viewer software to carry out a co-occurrence analysis and to investigate the trend of publications in this field. A total of 6313 articles were included. The number of publications was increasing globally yearly. USA was the leading country in global research in this field, with the largest number of publications and citations as well as the highest H-index (H-index reflects both the number of publications and the number of citations per publication). PLOS One published the largest number of publications related to HUA. JOHNSON RJ T has published the largest number of papers in this field. Published studies could be classified into six clusters: 'Pathophysiology', 'HUA and metabolic syndrome', 'HUA and cardiovascular disease', 'HUA and gout', 'HUA and nephropathy', and 'Genome-wide research'. 'Pathophysiology', 'HUA and cardiovascular disease', 'HUA and gout', and 'Genome-wide research' were predicted as the next hot topics in HUA research. USA was the leading country in global research in this field. It is expected that an increasing research output will continue to be observed in the near future. 'Pathophysiology', 'HUA and cardiovascular disease', 'HUA and gout', and 'Genome-wide research' may be the next hotspots and hence need more attention in the future.

Multiple outcome interactions in healthcare systems: a participatory outcome mapping approach

Outcomes, which are the result state or condition from a process or intervention, are essential elements of healthcare system design and an important indicator of performance. They are included in well-known system analysis frameworks such as the Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS) and Cognitive Work Analysis (CWA). However, fewer practical approaches exist for understanding and communicating interactions among healthcare outcomes. This study applies a novel mapping method as a practical approach to collect, aggregate and visualise interrelations among multiple healthcare outcomes. Graphic facilitation mapping sessions with eleven healthcare providers and ten patients with chronic conditions were conducted. Participants created outcome interrelationship maps following a six-step process. Two outcome-based network visualisations were synthesised using network analysis. This outcome-based approach advances how we frame healthcare systems, focussing on accommodating multiple stakeholders’ visions, understanding interrelations, and defining trade-offs. This practical approach may complement frameworks such as SEIPS and CWA. Practitioner summary: The presented outcome-based mapping approach can facilitate the understanding of outcomes as part of the interrelated healthcare system. The approach allows the discussion and integration of different stakeholders’ outcome priorities to identify critical elements and better inform the development or adaptation of healthcare systems. Producing climate boundary maps using GIS interface model designed with Python

Climate and its effects need to be examined within a more planned and comprehensive framework to prevent the unfavorable impact of climate change. Thus, climate effects on the ecosystem can be identified by determining the geographical boundaries of different climate types. The Köppen, Trewartha, Thornthwaite, Erinc, Aydeniz, De Martonne, and De Martonne–Gottman methods are used in the classification of climates. These methods enable the regional differences of climate types to be determined and their changes over the years to be examined. A number of studies examining climate classes have produced graphic findings and maps. The absence of new approaches has resulted in climate classifications still being carried out via manual studies. However, a program for identifying and representing these methods in a convenient, fast, and automated way could facilitate the completion of analyses in a shorter time. The programming languages developed in recent years have made it easy to design interface models that can perform analyses faster and easier than prolonged manual methods. In this study, a climate boundary determination interface model, designed using the Python programming language, was developed for use in the ArcGIS 10.6 program to determine geographical climate boundaries automatically. The provinces of Artvin, Ordu, Rize, Trabzon, Giresun, Bayburt, and Samsun (Turkey) were chosen as the study area to test the interface model. The resulting interface model design is expected to: (1) address the dimensions of climate change in Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change studies; (2) identify the climate changes in our country as an objective of the National Climate Change Strategy; and (3) determine the land-use changes caused by climate boundaries and examine the ownership dimension of the adaptation process in the declaration published by the International Geodesy Federation in 2014.

Introducing the Rapid Alert Supply Network Extractor (RASNEX) tool to mine supply chain information from food and feed contamination notifications in Europe.

BackgroundDuring food or feed contamination events, it is of utmost importance to ensure their rapid resolution to minimize impact on human health, animal health and finances. The existing Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) is used by the European Commission, national competent authorities of member countries and the European Food Safety Authority to report information on any direct or indirect human health risk arising from food or feed, or serious risks to animal health or the environment in relation to feed. Nevertheless, no methods exist to to collectively evaluate this vast source of supply chain information.MethodsTo aid in the extraction, evaluation and visualization of the data in RASFF notifications, we present the Rapid Alert Supply Network Extractor (RASNEX) open-source tool available from https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4322555 freely. Among RASNEX’s functions is the graphical mapping of food and feed supply chain operators implicated in contamination events. RASNEX can be used during ongoing events as a support tool for risk analysis using RASFF notifications as input.ResultsIn a first use case, we showcase the functionality of RASNEX with the RASFF notification on a 2017/2018 contamination event in eggs caused by the illegal use of fipronil. The information in this RASFF notification is used to visualize nine different flows of main and related food products. In a second use case, we combine RASFF notifications from different types of food safety hazards (Salmonella spp., fipronil and others) to obtain wider coverage of the visualized egg supply network compared to the first use case. Actors in the egg supply chain were identified mainly for Italy, Poland and Benelux. Other countries (although involved in the egg supply chain) were underrepresented.ConclusionsWe hypothesize that biases may be caused by inconsistent RASFF reporting behaviors by its members. These inconsistencies may be counteracted by implementing standardized decision-making tools to harmonize decisions whether to launch a RASFF notification, in turn resulting in a more uniform future coverage across European food and feed supply chains with RASNEX.

Exploring consumers’ perceptions of plant-based eggs using concept mapping and semantic network analysis

Plant-based eggs offer a healthy, animal-free, and more environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional eggs. Given the novelty of these products, it is vital to understand consumers’ perceptions before their market launch. Perception is based on product associations stored in consumers’ memory as semantic networks. In this study we used the graphic procedure concept mapping to elicit associations of 180 consumers from the UK and Italy to explore perceptions of three types of plant-based eggs, namely liquid, powder, and egg-shaped. Concept mapping also allowed to investigate the relevance that these associations have for the consumers. Results show more complex associations among participants in the UK than Italy for all three types of plant-based eggs. ‘Price’ is the most frequently mentioned association by consumers in both countries. In terms of relevance, participants evaluated ‘healthy’, ‘animal welfare’ and ‘sustainability’ as the most important and positive attributes of plant-based eggs. Furthermore, the semantic network analysis showed that the health benefits of plant-based eggs is quickly activated in consumers’ mind and should therefore be emphasized when marketing these products. ‘Use’ of plant-based eggs, e.g., baking, is also a key association, particularly in the UK for the egg-shaped version. However, ‘use’ was generally lower rated, suggesting that the limited applications of this product (only hard-boiled) may be perceived negatively. These findings provide insights into the psychology of consumers’ acceptance of plant-based eggs and have important implications for designing successful marketing strategies for promoting plant-based eggs.

An archaeology of information landscapes?

In its modern form, information literacy was named by Zurkowski (1974), but humans have been creating and using information landscapes since prehistory. Lloyd (2010, 9-10) describes these landscapes as “intersubjectively created spaces that have resulted from human interaction, in which information is created and shared and eventually sediments as knowledge.” It can be surmised that evidence of these landscapes, even from centuries ago, should be visible in the present, including the physical structures and associated graphical and discursive maps (Whitworth 2020) that help users navigate the space and communicate practices to others. This presentation discusses an archaeological study of information landscapes both ancient and modern, based on questions such as: 
 •What is the form of the landscape? 
 •What practices are evident within this landscape? How do these make learning possible?
 •How is authority distributed over these practices? 
 •Who has stewarded the landscape?
 •What knowledge ‘sediments out’ of these landscapes as they have been deposited?
 •How have these landscapes been made sustainable?
 Two landscapes will be examined in detail. First, medieval world maps, including the Map Room at the Vatican and the Mappa Mundi at Hereford, UK. These maps are oriented to helping users navigate not only the geographical landscape but the landscape of ecclesiastical authority and power. Second, the landscape emerging from the Legacies of British Slavery project (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/). This is an example of how research and mapping conducted in the present time has revealed landscapes that were significant, but obscured by politics and power, both 200 years ago and in the present. This study shows how archaeology, in its own right, is a significant expression of information literacy. In summary, investigating landscapes and maps in this way reveals how IL can be developed through a critical pedagogy of place (Gruenewald 2008).

The use of resilience engineering tools for fault propagation mitigation in sociotechnical systems

Purpose – To demonstrate an application of resilience engineering, aiming to improve productivity and quality by decreasing variability and fault propagation in the production functions of a sociotechnical system, the object of the study, in an asphalt concrete production plant.Design/methodology/approach – The approach used was the functional resonance analysis method, where experts in sociotechnical systems were interviewed, eliciting their knowledge on the aspects of interaction between production functions. The elicited knowledge was entered into FRAM Model Visualizer 0.4.1 software, which presents a graphical map of the system and allows the number of couplings (NC) to be analyzed.Findings – The analysis of the NCs highlighted that the laboratory control, burner, drum dryer, and baghouse functions showed a high potential for variability absorption, while the PLC control system and laboratory control functions have a high potential for fault propagation. Both groups were examined and measured explored within the scope of resilience engineering that enhance their roles in mitigating resilience within the system.Originality/value – The replication of the resilience engineering discussed in this article enables gains in productivity and quality in sociotechnical systems for the same segment; the application of the functional resonance analysis methodology demonstrated can benefit further studies on productive systems with interaction between people and technology.Keywords - Resilience engineering, productive systems, sociotechnical systems, FRAM.

Thunor: visualization and analysis of high-throughput dose-response datasets.

High-throughput cell proliferation assays to quantify drug-response are becoming increasingly common and powerful with the emergence of improved automation and multi-time point analysis methods. However, pipelines for analysis of these datasets that provide reproducible, efficient, and interactive visualization and interpretation are sorely lacking. To address this need, we introduce Thunor, an open-source software platform to manage, analyze, and visualize large, dose-dependent cell proliferation datasets. Thunor supports both end-point and time-based proliferation assays as input. It provides a simple, user-friendly interface with interactive plots and publication-quality images of cell proliferation time courses, dose–response curves, and derived dose–response metrics, e.g. IC50, including across datasets or grouped by tags. Tags are categorical labels for cell lines and drugs, used for aggregation, visualization and statistical analysis, e.g. cell line mutation or drug class/target pathway. A graphical plate map tool is included to facilitate plate annotation with cell lines, drugs and concentrations upon data upload. Datasets can be shared with other users via point-and-click access control. We demonstrate the utility of Thunor to examine and gain insight from two large drug response datasets: a large, publicly available cell viability database and an in-house, high-throughput proliferation rate dataset. PLannotate: engineered plasmid annotation.

Engineered plasmids are widely used in the biological sciences. Since many plasmids contain DNA sequences that have been reused and remixed by researchers for decades, annotation of their functional elements is often incomplete. Missing information about the presence, location, or precise identity of a plasmid feature can lead to unintended consequences or failed experiments. Many engineered plasmids contain sequences—such as recombinant DNA from all domains of life, wholly synthetic DNA sequences, and engineered gene expression elements—that are not predicted by microbial genome annotation pipelines. Existing plasmid annotation tools have limited feature libraries and do not detect incomplete fragments of features that are present in many plasmids for historical reasons and may impact their newly designed functions. We created the open source pLannotate web server so users can quickly and comprehensively annotate plasmid features. pLannotate is powered by large databases of genetic parts and proteins. It employs a filtering algorithm to display only the most relevant feature matches and also reports feature fragments. Finally, pLannotate displays a graphical map of the annotated plasmid, explains the provenance of each feature prediction, and allows results to be downloaded in a variety of formats. Determination of sex dimorphisms of the thickness of the hard palate in adolescence using computed tomography: Pilot study

BackgroundIn addition to traditional craniometric techniques, computer craniometry has been used in recent decades, including stereometric methods, which make it possible to determine the microanatomical spatial relationships and dimensional features of various structures of the skull, in particular the thickness of the inert palate of the maxilla. AimDetermination of the gender-specific variability of the thickness of the bony palate at the age of 18–20 years using CT. Material and methodsThe material of the pilot study were 40 computed tomograms of young males and females aged 18–20 years. The method of computer craniometry was used to measure the thickness of the bony palate in sagittal projection taking into account the gender. A graphic raster map was created to identify the palatal areas, then analyze their thickness and determine the safe zones for the mini dental implants. ResultsIn young males and females (18–20 years) the thickness of the bony palate decreases at different levels from front to back and from the median suture to the alveolar process. The greatest thickness of the bony palate corresponds to its anterior third and reliably predominates in young males at all levels compared to young females. In the middle and posterior third palate, the averages do not show gender differences and their variation is insignificant. ConclusionsThe greatest thickness of the bony palate can be used as the most favorable zone for the fixation of orthodontic mini dental implants. The variability in the thickness of the bony palate should be considered when selecting the most optimal zones and depth of mini-implant placement.

Bibliometric Analysis on Motivation of Sport Event Volunteer using the Scopus Database

This paper contains research in the most productive journals, the most prolific and productive country, dedicated to the study of the motivation of volunteers for sporting events. Over the past 40 years, the number of journal publications devoted to these areas has grown exponentially. This paper addresses the most important contributions in these areas with the help of a bibliometric method. Furthermore, this paper uses the similarity view for graphical mapping important themes and keywords. Several researchers in these fields have reviewed all of the articles published on the Web of Science for an as broad time as discussed in this study. This research is useful for various purposes. It is possible to identify the greatest potential of countries and institutions to help academics and researchers in their research development and research exchanges, and possibly to determine what would be important to pursue their doctorate and improve their careers.

Environmental aspects of insect mass production

Mass production of insects is calling for environmentally optimised and economically efficient insect value chains. It is a complex task considering a great variety in insect species, production scales, feed formulations, etc. Taking a challenge of environmental impact clarification, a few studies highlight on life cycle assessment (LCA) of insect production. The current study is aimed to systemise 24 selected previous studies to establish a modular framework for the determination of contribution of sustainability assessment factors of insect production chains. Reviewing published studies according to the elements of LCA, the study identified a feasible approach for the modelling of insect production chains, which can be used for the facilitation of comparability of further LCA studies. The approach is based on a modular analysis of insect production through a graphical mapping of value chains (allowed identification of precise system boundaries) supplemented with table analysis considering scale of production, reference (functional) unit, impact assessment methodology and type of LCA. Such an approach allows for consistency in LCA setting and further comparability of results.

Some Fixed Point Results of Weak-Fuzzy Graphical Contraction Mappings with Application to Integral Equations

The present paper aims to introduce the concept of weak-fuzzy contraction mappings in the graph structure within the context of fuzzy cone metric spaces. We prove some fixed point results endowed with a graph using weak-fuzzy contractions. By relaxing the continuity condition of mappings involved, our results enrich and generalize some well-known results in fixed point theory. With the help of new lemmas, our proofs are straight forward. We furnish the validity of our findings with appropriate examples. This approach is completely new and will be beneficial for the future aspects of the related study. We provide an application of integral equations to illustrate the usability of our theory.
