Developing Interactive Learning Media Using Powtoon to Improve Students' Interest and Learning Outcomes in Global Warming Material

The purpose of this study was to explain how well Powtoon Instructional Materials can help teachers carry out learning activities that can improve students' interest and learning outcomes on the topic of global warming. To explain how well Powtoon Instructional Materials can improve students' interest and learning outcomes. This study uses a type of development research commonly called Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Distribution, and Evaluation). 3 validators conducted validation to produce a feasible product, and the result was 87.6%, which indicates a very feasible category for use. According to the results of the distributed learning interest questionnaire, the initial results of the questionnaire were 55.2% for the low category and the final results were 73.4% for the moderate category. The pretest-posttest and N-Gain results were calculated to determine student learning outcomes. The calculation results show that the N-Gain score of 0.69 is in the moderate category and the N-Gain percentage of 69.5% is in the fairly effective category.

Implementation of Discovery Learning Model Assisted by E-Module to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Skills on Global Warming Material Quantitative Study

Critical thinking skills are one of the competencies that students must have in the 21st century. Students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia are still categorized as low because these skills are not provided in learning activities, especially in physics subjects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the discovery learning model with the help of e-modules in improving students' critical thinking skills on global warming material. Quantitative method with Pre-Experimental Design design in the form of One Group Pretest-Postest. The research sample amounted to 30 students from one of the State Madrasah Aliyah in Garut Regency, which was selected through random sampling technique. This research instrument consists of 5 essay questions that measure critical thinking skills and 16 questionnaire statements to measure student responses. The research data obtained were analyzed using the Normalized Gain test for essay questions and percentages for student response questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the N-Gain of students' critical thinking skills of 0.66 with a moderate category. While for the student response questionnaire after learning activities with a positive interpretation. This shows that discovery learning assisted by e-module on global warming material can improve students' critical thinking skills. The application of the discovery learning model with the help of e-modules can be an effective strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially on global warming material. Physics teachers can consider using it to better prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.

Practicality of E-Module Teaching Materials Integrated With Islamic Values On Global Warming Material at Senior High School

Islamic values in the subject matter of global warming symptoms for class XI at Senior high school. This research is a continuation of R&D research and development with the ADDIE model using 5 stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research instrument used was a practicality test questionnaire and student answer sheets on the e-module. there are 31 students and one educator have participated in this practicality test. The results of data analysis on the average value at the practicality test stage were carried out by educators and students. With the very practical category, the practicality analysis value of educators is 92.65 %, Very practical criteria for data analysis by students yielded 89.09 %. The results of the study concluded that the integrated e-module of Islamic values in the material on global warming symptoms that was developed was very practical to use in the learning process for class XI as an alternative teaching material in the learning processABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat praktikalitas e-modul terintegrasi nilai-nilai islam pada materi gejala pemanasan global untuk kelas XI Sekolah Menegah Atas. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan penelitian dan pengembangan R&D dengan model ADDIE menggunakan 5 tahapan yaitu Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket uji praktikalitas dan lembar jawaban peserta didik pada e-modul. terdapat 31 peserta didik dan satu pendidik telah berpartisipasi dalam pengujian kepraktisan ini. Hasil analisis data rata-rata nilai pada tahap uji praktikalitas dilakukan oleh pendidik dan peserta didik. Dengan katerogi sangat praktis diperoleh nilai analisis kepraktisan pendidik sebesar 92,65%, Kriteria sangat praktis analisis data oleh peserta didik menghasilkan sebesar 89,09%,. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa e-modul terintegrasi nilai-nilai islam pada materi gejala pemanasan global yang dikembangkan sangat praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran kelas XI sebagai bahan ajar alternative dalam proses pembelajaran.

The Use of Inquiry-Based Mobile Pocket Book on Students’ Knowledge Based on Critical Thinking Skills on Global Warming

The purpose of this study was to analyze: (1) differences in the effect of using learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (2) differences in the effect of critical thinking skills with high and low categories on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (3) interaction between learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book with critical thinking skills on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a sample of grade XI students’ divided into two classes. The data analysis technique used was Kruskal-Wallis Test. The results showed: (1) there is a difference in the effect of using learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book on student knowledge learning outcomes, (2) there is no difference in the effect of critical thinking skills with high and low categories on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (3) there is an interaction between learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book with critical thinking skills on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material.

UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI PEMANASAN GLOBAL MELALUI MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in improving students' concept understanding of global warming material in class X of one of the high schools in Kotagede, Yogyakarta. This study used a quantitative research design with a sample of 10 learners selected through purposive sampling. The method involved two meetings, each allocated 2 x 35 minutes, which included a pretest, learning by applying the Discovery Learning model, and a post-test. The paired sample t-test analysis showed a significant increase in concept understanding, with the average pretest score of 65.5 increasing to 83.0 in the posttest. The Discovery Learning model's application improved student engagement and understanding of global warming material. Based on the results of this study, the Discovery Learning model is recommended to be applied in physics learning in high school.

Analysis of Validity and Learner Response to the Development of Pro-Environment Based Teaching Materials on Global Warming Material

Pro˗environmental attitudes are specific actions a person takes to minimize the negative impacts of human activities on the environment and environmental health. This research aims to determine the validity and response of senior high school students to environment˗based teaching materials. This study is classified as research and development (R&D), and the ADDIE model, which stands for analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, is the paradigm used. Two media validators and two material validators verified the teaching materials. The validation results from material aspects obtained a percentage of 1.6% and media aspects a percentage of 6%, both of which are included in the valid category. Students' response results to teaching materials are in the very practical categories, with a mean percentage of 85%. Based on the results of validity and student responses, it can be concluded that the pro-environment-based teaching materials on global warming developed are valid and can be used in the physics learning process in high schools to increase students' knowledge and character towards the environment.

Preliminary Study on Critical Thinking Skills of Learners in South Sumatra Related to Climate Change (Global Warming)

In the 21st century, critical thinking skills play an important role in facing the challenges of globalization in the world of education; in Indonesia, students' critical thinking skills are still in the low category. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an initial study to find out an overview of students' essential level of thinking skills. The subjects in this study involved 192 students of class X phase E independent curriculum who were available and willing to be studied, divided into five schools in South Sumatra. Critical thinking skills data uses Ennis indicators packaged as a questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods per indicator and the overall average of the indicators. The results of this study show that only one of the five indicators of students' thinking skills shows a high category. For the average critical thinking skills in each school, namely for the first school, the average percentage is 85.30% with a high category; in the second school, the average percentage is 47.38% with a medium category; in the third school, the average percentage is 37.78% with a medium category, the fourth school, the average percentage is 36.66% with a medium category and the fifth school, the average percentage is 29.44% with a low category. Following up on the findings in this study, the critical thinking skills of grade X high school students in South Sumatra on global warming material must be improved. Some solutions to improve students' critical thinking skills are using learning models, learning methods, teaching materials, LKPD, and appropriate technology in the learning process.

Pengembangan Ular Tangga IPA sebagai Media Pembelajaran pada Materi Pemanasan Global untuk Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP/MTs

This research aims to develop Snakes and Ladders Science as a learning medium for Global Warming material for class VII students at MTs Negeri 11 Jombang. This research includes development research using the ADDIE model through the stages of analysis, design, development and evaluation. The result of the development is Snakes and Ladders Science as a learning medium with an average validity value of 85.74% by material experts, 89.28% by media experts, and 94.64% by science teachers at MTs Negeri 11 Jombang. From the three validators, an average validity value of 89.89% was obtained with very valid criteria. This research was motivated by a lack of student interest and interest in learning because the learning methods used by teachers were less innovative and teachers had not utilized appropriate media to make it easier for students to understand the material presented, especially on Global Warming. Students prefer learning while playing. For this reason, it is necessary to develop innovative learning media. The data collection technique in this development research was through a questionnaire distributed to 33 students at MTs Negeri 11 Jombang on February 10 2021. The data obtained from the questionnaire was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively.

Development of E-Module Contextual Teaching and Learning Model on Global Warming Material for Class XI High School

Technological developments will affect the world of education in terms of institutions, materials, teachers, methods, infrastructure and so on. This is a challenge that must be answered by the world of education, in the 2013 Curriculum where learning is required to be able to balance three student competencies including attitude, skills and knowledge competencies. To support the learning process, teaching materials in the form of e-modules are needed. This research aims to produce a product in the form of a physics e-module on global warming material for class XI high school. This research is included in research and development research with the Plomp development research model. Preliminary research data was obtained from needs analysis through interviews with teachers and distribution of questionnaires to high school students in the city of Padang and legitimacy information was gotten from 5 material science instructors. The instruments in this exploration were educator interview sheets, self-assessment sheets and master legitimacy sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively. This research produces a physics e-module with a contextual teaching and learning model with REACT learning strategies on global warming material. The self-evaluation results show that the e-module is in the good category. The validity test results obtained an average value of 0.81 which is in the valid category. Based on this data, the physics e-module with the contextual teaching and learning model with the REACT learning strategy has met the requirements in terms of validity so that it can be used in schools.

Analysis of the Effectiveness of Guided Inquiry-Based Physics Learning with the PhET Simulation Guidebook on Global Warming Material

This research aims to develop a guided inquiry-based physics learning guidebook using PhET simulations on global warming material to improve the science process skills of 10th-grade students. The type of research used is development research with a 4D development model. However, this research was carried out only at the development stage, where the product being made would be tested for feasibility first by experts to find out how far the product had been developed. The subjects in this development research were two media experts and two material experts as validators of the guidebook being developed. The media and material expert validation results show that this guidebook falls within the criteria of being quite valid, with a percentage score of 45% from the media expert validation test and 46% from the material expert validation test. This guidebook can be considered a good development based on the development results. It can be used to support physics learning at the high school level, especially regarding global warming.

Validity and Practicality of Teaching Materials Based on Project Based Learning on Global Warming Material for Phase E

The Independent curriculum demand students to be active, creative and independent learners. The learning process requires teaching materials to support students' learning. Learning materials are organized materials that enable students to work independently, which is consistent with the demands of the independent curriculum. Appropriate teaching materials for the independent curriculum cannot ignore the three elements of meaningful understanding, provoking questions and possibilities for learning. In fact, there are teaching materials that do not meet the requirements of the independent curriculum. This article aims to explore the feasibility and usability of project-based teaching materials on the subject of global warming. The research methodology used the 4D model, research and development (R&D) through definition, design, development and disposal. The validity analysis results of the manual using three validators revealed a high category of 0.89 for the presentation component, 0.90 for graphics, 0.93 for content validity and 0.86 for language, while the usability test of the manual using three physics teachers and 60 students revealed an average of 95% and a very practical category of 81.65%. It was therefore confirmed that the E-level textbook based on project-based learning on global warming is valid and practical and can be used as a teaching aid.

Implementation of Problem-Based Learning to Improve Cognitive Understanding and Quality of Learning of Global Warming's Topic

Implementation of one learning model in the classroom will stimulate student learning outcomes. Class X-1 at SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya shows that student learning outcomes must be upgraded based on the researcher’s observation. The objective of fulfilling the Problem-Based Learning model with the Lesson Study approach in this research is to upgrade the cognitive competencies and the value of learning in class X-1 SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya. This type of research is Classroom Action Research, with a total research target of 36 students in class X-1 SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya. The teacher conducts learning for three cycles on global warming material, with each cycle using a lesson study approach. Research data was attained from observer observations and data on students' cognitive abilities. Then, it was analyzed to define the percentage of learning completion and the intensification of cognitive competencies using n-gain. The research results show an improvement in cognitive competencies with a value of 0.557 in the moderate category. Apart from that, the research results show an improvement in the percentage of learning operations. Therefore, it can be established that the research directed by the teacher can develop cognitive competencies and the quality of learning in class X-1 SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya.

Development of Think-Pair-Share (Tps) Model Based Learning Tools for Global Warming Materials

The aim of this research is to develope are cooperative model-based learning tools of TPS type with Quizizz learning media on global warming materials for high school XI students. The materials are consisting of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKPD), and Learning Outcome Test. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with 4D model design. The research instruments used are rpp validation assessment sheets, LKPD, and Learning Results Tests used by validators to assess learning devices. The data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each learning device indicator. Based on the results of the analysis of validity data, the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) gets an average score of 3.07 (high), the Student Worksheet (LKPD) gets an average score of 3.16 (high) and the Learning Results Test gets an average score of 3.13 (high). Thus, tps-type cooperative model-based learning devices with Quizizz learning media are declared valid and feasible for use in global warming materials in grade XI SMA.

Application of the Climate Kids Interactive Web to Build Understanding of Concepts and Environmental Awareness of Class VI Students on Global Warming Material

There is a problem faced, namely that elementary school students' understanding of science concepts is still low, which has an impact on low environmental awareness. This research aims to determine the application of the Climate Kids interactive web to build students' conceptual understanding and environmental awareness. The method used in this research is quantitative with an exploratory approach and pre-Exploratory with a one group pretest-posttest design. Participants in this research involved 25 students, 10 male students and 15 female students in class VI of one of the state elementary schools in West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The research results show that the Climate Kids interactive web can build conceptual understanding and environmental awareness as seen from the average pretest score of 37.67 while the posttest average score is 79.87, supported by the results of the Wilcoxon test with asymp. Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest-posttest results and the average environmental awareness questionnaire results obtained are 92%, which shows that the level of students' environmental awareness after being given learning is in the very high category.

Needs Analysis Of Cognitive Conflict Teaching Materials Integrated with Augmented Reality Global Warming Material


 The development of the 21st century is marked by the increasing quality of human resources, especially in the field of science and technology. Conceptual understanding is very important to be improved in the 21st century, this is supported by the goal of an independent curriculum, namely students are able to deepen concepts and strengthen competence. In the independent curriculum, the available teaching materials are still limited, one alternative solution is to develop teaching materials based on cognitive conflict models integrated with Augmented Reality technology on global warming material in order to increase students' conceptual understanding and remediate student misconceptions. This type of research is preliminary research. The instrument used was a questionnaire which was given to 3 teachers at Padang City High School to analyze the implementation of physics learning at school. Then the questionnaire instrument was also given to 130 class X students in two different high schools in Padang City, the aim was to analyze the needs of physics learning devices at school. In addition to the questionnaire, journal analysis was also carried out to analyze high school students' conceptual understanding of global warming material. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Students' conceptual understanding is still low and there are misconceptions about global warming material, which is the result of an analysis of several published journals. In addition, learning in schools is still teacher-centered, teaching materials are still limited, and technology-integrated learning media is also limited. Therefore, from the results of preliminary research it is necessary to develop cognitive conflict-based physics teaching materials that are integrated with augmented reality technology.

Development of Discovery Learning and Toulmin Argument Pattern (TAP) Based Learning Devices to Trains Students’ Critical Thinking Skills on Global Warming Materials

This study aims to develop learning tools for the Discovery Learning model based on the Toulmin Argument Pattern (TAP) which are valid, practical and effective for training students' critical thinking skills on global warming. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) and is tested in SMA Negeri 1 Menganti with One Group Pre test – Posttest Design. Data collection through observation, tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using descriptive quantitative analysis, qualitative and parametric statistical tests. The results of the study show that the learning tools developed are in the valid category, the learning tools developed are practical in terms of the implementation of the lesson plans and the learning activities of active students according to the stages of Discovery Learning syntax, the learning tools developed are effective in terms of from Increased critical thinking skills seen from the n-gain in the high category , there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills, there is no difference increasing critical thinking skills from one class to another.  It was concluded that the discovery learning model based on Toulmin's Argument Pattern (TAP) Global Warming material developed was valid, practical, and effective

The Effect of a Guided Inquiry Learning Model With A Scientific Approach in Green Chemistry and Global Warming Material On Students Critical Thinking Ability and Learning Motivation

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dampak dari model pembelajaran guided inquiry, yang diimplementasikan dengan pendekatan saintifik, terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group desain. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Semarang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari peserta didik kelas X SMAN 1 Semarang. Sampel terdiri dari total 136 peserta didik dari kelas X. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan bentuk soal pilihan ganda beralasan dan kuesioner motivasi belajar. Teknik analisis yang digunakan melibatkan penggunaan statistik multivariat, khususnya menggunakan uji Manova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan pendekatan saintifik memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Secara khusus, efek gabungan dari model pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan pendekatan saintifik menyumbang 30,9% dari varians dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar. Selanjutnya, model pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan pendekatan saintifik secara masing-masingi berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 10,8% dan motivasi belajar peserta didik sebesar 23,8%.
