University Environment in the Global Educational Space and its Impact on Diverse Students’ Learning (On the Basis of the US University Best Practice)

The article explored the modern global educational space and university environment with its structure and functioning. It presents key tasks of US university education in a global context, offers the definition of the university environment, and describes core features of the US university setting. The university campus is considered as a main educational space for students to live and study. It has been given the description of the structure, main functions and services of a university campus needed to facilitate students’ learning process. Pedagogical support for fostering a welcoming and effective learning environment has been outlined, too. It also lists diverse students’ main challenges in an unknown university setting, which they primarily met with; the theoretical findings were justified by the recent research results. The core student competences were studied that are extremely important to be acquired and developed in order to overcome adjustment and studying challenges. The article has explored some primary tasks of the university staff, primarily, international student counselors and educational counselors, who work with students of different cultural backgrounds, aiming at helping them with their adjustment and studying problems.

Enhancing Digital Literacy in International Chinese Language Teachers: Strategies and Outcomes

The research specifically aims to outline and amplify strategies that can improve the digital competencies of international Chinese teachers. By examining various educational frameworks and technological implementations, the study sheds light on the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital landscape in education. The findings of this research offer actionable recommendations for educators, administrators, and policymakers, aimed at fostering a more digitally competent teaching workforce. These recommendations are intended to not only enhance the teaching and learning experience but also to guide future research and inform policy-making within the field of International Chinese Education. This contributes to a broader understanding of the pivotal transformations necessary to adapt to and prosper in the digitally driven global educational environment.

This article identifies significant factors influencing the financial sustainability of higher education organizations and presents an authorial classification thereof. It is noted that the entire diversity of factors ensuring the sustainability of the university’s economic activities can be expressed through cost and non-financial indicators. Among the former are microeconomic, macroeconomic, and market factors determining the level of income of higher education organizations, their potential revenue streams, key expenditure items, as well as strategies for conducting activities based on the situation in the educational services market. Non-financial factors are subdivided into organizational-legal, political, social, and global categories. They imply an indirect but significant influence on the financial sustainability of an educational organization, regulating its activities through documents, state policies in various spheres, the university’s image in the domestic and global educational environment, etc. The prepared classification of factors provides a visual representation of the components of financial sustainability of higher education organizations, which can be effectively utilized in organizing management by stakeholders.

The article examines the process of forming a value aspect in the professional training of a future foreign languages teacher. Key aspects of the influence of axiological elements on the professional development and personal identity of teachers are investigated. The article highlights practical methods of forming students’ value perceptions, in particular by implementing global and intercultural approaches. The article emphasizes the importance of conscious development of values in future teachers for their successful implementation in the modern educational environment. The role of pedagogical axiology in strengthening the interaction between the teacher and students through the implementation of practical tasks and situations aimed at the development of valuable competencies is analyzed. Special attention is paid to reflection and self-assessment as effective tools for students’ awareness and analysis of their own values. The article suggests that teachers use these methods to actively involve future foreign languages teachers in the process of forming personal and professional values, which will contribute to their successful teaching path in the global educational environment. It is noted that the valuable component of professional training of future foreign languages teacher is of strategic importance in the conditions of globalization and intercultural interaction. Students are invited to actively interact in real situations, which contributes to the formation of their skills in solving ethical problems and making important decisions based on their values. The article is aimed at practical recommendations for teachers of Universities who want to improve the process of forming a value component in future specialists in teaching foreign languages, developing their professional and personal aspects. In addition, the article discusses the importance of reflection and self-evaluation in the formation of the value component in professional training. Reflective sessions, where students analyze their values and discuss them with colleagues, contribute to awareness of their own approach to professional activity.

The Impact of Language Proficiency on Academic Performance in International Programs: Insights for Educational Managers

In the context of globalization, linguistic proficiency significantly impacts the academic performance of international projects. This study focuses on how linguistic capabilities shape the academic outcomes of international projects and the implications for educational administrators. By analyzing multiple cases of transnational educational projects, this research reveals that not only does linguistic skill play a foundational role in academic communication, but it is also a critical factor in driving project success. Findings indicate that strong linguistic abilities can significantly enhance the communication efficiency of academic teams, reduce misunderstandings and conflicts, and thereby improve the overall project effectiveness and academic quality. Based on these findings, this paper proposes targeted management strategies, recommending that educational administrators strengthen language training and cultural adaptability education when designing and implementing international collaborative projects. Moreover, this study emphasizes the importance of establishing multilingual support systems to better serve diverse academic teams. Ultimately, these strategies aim to help educational administrators optimize resource allocation, enhance the academic output, and increase the international impact of their projects. Through an in-depth analysis of the correlation between linguistic capabilities and the success of international projects, this study provides practical insights for educational managers to make more informed decisions in a global educational environment. This journal explores the impact and dynamics of prophetic education in a global context, highlighting the challenges and opportunities faced. Through a literature analysis approach, this research investigates how Islamic prophetic values can be significantly integrated into diverse global education systems. Identified challenges include cultural differences, varying understandings of Islam, and rapid social change. On the other hand, opportunities arise in the form of cross-cultural collaboration, global knowledge exchange, and the development of innovative educational strategies. By delving deeper, this journal provides insight into how prophetic education can be an important instrument for building better understanding, harmony and tolerance in an increasingly complex global educational environment.

Intercultural Communication in China and Russia. Analysis of Historical Development and Interaction in International Education

Intercultural communication is an important component of modern higher education. This article examines the historical background, development status and existing problems of intercultural communication in Chinese education from a historical perspective. The results show that theoretical research on intercultural communication in China is mainly concentrated in the field of language learning, especially English. The analysis of issues of historical development of intercultural communication opens up opportunities for effective interaction in the field of education and ensures the successful integration of higher education systems into global mixed educational environment. Familiarity with issues of intercultural communication helps stimulate and develop the effectiveness of teaching a foreign language and cultural dialogue, and also helps Russian teachers and Chinese students to study more deeply the issues of intercultural communication in the field of education, and it also improves the quality of international education in theoretical and practical aspects.

Экономический вклад иностранных студентов в Российскую Федерацию

The number and mobility of international student is a sign of quality and prestige for universities and educational institutions. International student mobility impacts different aspects of global society, including socioeconomic, political, and cultural environment, science, and technology. In order to compete in the global educational environment and attract international students, Russia has been offering a wide range of programs where the English is the language of instruction. This paper offers a descriptive research and uses a systematic approach to analyze monetary gains of Russia brought in by international students. The research uses secondary data provided by official international organizations. The results show that 64.5% of the international students who studied full-time in Russian universities in academic year 2017 / 2018 were self-financed. Among the top 6 destination countries for international students, Russia spends the lowest percentage of GDP on education, has the lowest economic contribution of international students to GDP and total economic contribution of international students. International students in Russia spent around $637.5 million on tuition and $1,632.7 million on household expenses during the period of study. The aggregate income from providing Russian educational services to foreign citizens is $2,270.2 million.

What Are the Current Status and Educational Needs of Global Health Education in Medical Schools? A Nationwide Survey in Korea

This study investigated the current status and educational needs of global health education (GHE) at medical schools in Korea. Among the 40 medical schools nationwide, 32 schools that agreed to participate in the study collected data through a survey in 2022, and the results were examined by frequency analysis and content analysis. In total, 87.5% of medical schools included global health-related graduation outcomes. In the curriculum, global health lessons within courses were present at 71.9% of medical schools. Regarding extracurricular activities, 66.7% and 63.0% of medical schools offered overseas clerkships and overseas volunteer work, respectively. Although there were not many medical schools with a global health-related educational environment, 96.9% of schools agreed with the necessity of GHE in medical education. The prevailing opinion was that it was appropriate to continuously cover GHE as lessons within courses throughout all years of the program in medical education. The main opinions regarding the improvement of GHE related to curriculum development, personnel expansion, and awareness improvement at medical schools. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for identifying the current status of GHE at Korean medical schools and specifying future directions of GHE.

THE ROLE OF ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORMS IN EDUCATION

Digitization of education is a significant trend for reform and modernization in the global education environment. Digitization refers to the conversion of various information sources, such as texts, sounds, images, and videos, into digital language. Several analysts, including Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, consider the emergence and growth of online education as a pivotal moment in the history of education. The European Union has adopted a digitalization approach to education. The EU 2020 education development plan focuses on digital technology, which was adopted in 2014. The primary goal of this document was to make effective progress in the field of information technology by integrating modern technologies and using technology alongside education. After conducting a comparative analysis of the existing conceptual apparatus, we have identified several fundamental concepts related to this problem area. Text, graphics, and multimedia information placed on Internet sites (servers) are commonly understood as Internet resources. This information is delivered to the user's computer in the form of a set of files or documents (including an archive) in various formats, such as HTML, DOC, PDF, and TXT. Internet resources also encompass executable programs placed on servers (distribution), which can be transferred to the user's computer for further use upon request. This article discusses how the concept of Internet portals is being used to address this problem, which is relevant across all areas of human activity influenced by the Internet. By creating a unified platform that aggregates and organizes educational resources, Internet portals can significantly enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of education. Teachers’ acceptance of technology as predictors of the use of Google Classroom analytical learning

<span lang="EN-US">The upsurge in Malaysia’s Industrial Revolution 4.0 (4IR) is in line with the changes in the global education environment. One of the latest approaches in the education field is learning analytics (LA). The use of LA in Google Classroom (GC) as the learning platform that measures, collects, analyses data and reports information about students to help teachers improve teaching and learning (T&L). This study aimed to determine the factors of teachers’ technology acceptance as the predictor for use LA in GC among the teachers in secondary schools. It is done by observing 304 teachers in daily secondary schools in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The research instrument used was online questionnaire using Google Form, which data were collected and analyses by using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26.0. The findings from this study show that the use of GC, teachers’ perceived usefulness and behavioral intention were the predictors that influenced the performance of LA in GC. This study hoped to provide a description and contribute a required alternative for the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia and the schools in designing an effective strategy that can help teachers monitor the suitability of using LA in GC during teaching and learning.</span>

The internationalization of higher education has led to move communication between higher education systems across borders and there is a growing need more than ever before to compare levels of quality in higher education systems among deferent countries of the world. This study aims to employ internationalization in Iraqi universities and prepare and adapt their capabilities to raise the quality of their Performance and contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development in Iraq. Likewise, the adoption and implementation of internationalization activities by Iraqi universities will mean achieving higher performance rates and raising their international ranking. Gilgamesh University was selected as a case study and a questionnaire was developed to survey the opinions of a sample consisting of deans, heads of departments, instructors, and the quality department regarding the University's internationalization of its faculties, the justifications for that, and the impact of internationalization on improving the performance quality of all university activities, the competitive level, and the possibility of achieving sustainable development goals through internationalization. The most important conclusions reached by the study are that the quality of university performance is not only based on the academic Staff pe rformance, but extends to include other aspects and dimensions closely related to internationalization. The effects of academic self-efficacy on the academic achievement of Chinese and foreign university students

With the growing trend of internationalisation in global higher education, studying abroad has become more frequent. Due to factors such as different cultural backgrounds and living habits, foreign and native students have differences in adaptation to academic life and face various psychological challenges. The objective of this research is to systematically review the existing literature and examine the impact of academic self-efficacy on the academic achievement of both native Chinese students and foreign native students in higher education, with a focus on the perspective of educational psychology. To explore practical solutions to help Chinese international students improve their academic self-efficacy, which can influence their pursuit of higher academic performance. To better understand the influence of the educational environment and cultural elements on this association, the present study undertakes a comparative analysis of the correlation between students’ academic self-efficacy and academic performance across different countries and cultural contexts. The results of this study will enable Chinese international students to grow better in the future global higher education environment, promote sustainable education development, and foster cross-cultural understanding and cooperation.

A Comparative Study of Early Childhood Sports Policies in China and Korea

As countries in Asia that attach great importance to sports, China and South Korea also have different development and trends in early childhood sports, and have built more distinctive characteristics and systems. With the convergence of the global educational environment and social environment, various countries have gradually learned from each other in the theoretical discussion and practical research of children's sports, learning from each other's strengths, and jointly promoting the healthy growth of young children. Therefore, the analysis and research of children's sports policies in China and South Korea not only help to improve the decision-making of early childhood education, but also help broaden the vision of early childhood sports research, which is an important strategic issue related to social development. Based on this, this paper first introduces the development of children's sports and related sports policies in China. Then, the development of early childhood sports and related sports policies in Korea was elaborated, and finally based on the comparison of early childhood sports and policies between China and South Korea, the enlightenment of China's early childhood sports development was considered, that is, attention should be paid to accelerating the formulation of regulations related to early childhood education. ACADEMIC MOBILITY IN THE ERA OF TURBULENCE

The relevance of the problems of international academic mobility is due to the growth of export-import of educational services, aggravation of the global level of competition for human and intellectual resources. In the 20s of the 21st century new challenges emerged (COVID-19 pandemic, Russian aggression in Ukraine), which led to a serious transformation of the European and global educational space. In this context, the issue of developing tools to minimize negative challenges while intensifying the processes of academic mobility is relevant. The aim of the article is to analyze the processes of academic mobility in the context of contemporary challenges, in particular, the consequences of Russian aggression on the processes of international migration, redistribution of the global and European higher education market, development of university cooperation in the European and global educational environment. A common trend in higher education is dynamic internationalization: between 2000 and 2019, the number of students worldwide just over doubled (by 235%), and the number of international students tripled from 2.088 million to 6.064 million. And in traditional regions the number of foreign students increased 2-2.5 times (in Europe – 246%, in North America – 221%), and in rapidly developing regions – 4-8 times (in Asia – 440%, South America – 828%, Oceania – 481%). The consequences of the pandemic have been the increased penetration of ICTs in educational processes, the diversification of forms and methods of learning, and the spread of "internationalization at home". The military aggression of 2022 provoked a rapid increase in academic mobility, increased flows from Ukraine, and the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the European and global educational community: all programs and grants were suspended, all opportunities for academic mobility were closed, and it was excluded from the Bologna Process. European and other Western countries have taken unprecedented measures to support students and scholars, both at the level of countries and associations, as well as by individual universities. The consequence of Russian aggression has been a dynamic change in the flow of academic mobility, the main manifestation of which will be a significant influx of students and scholars to European and other countries.

Abstract. Introduction. The authors study the essence, features and priorities of the educational environment, taking into account globalization trends and world development, focus on the possibility of accelerating the process of retraining. The authors prove the importance of the educational environment in the global society and the need for interaction between educational institutions, employers and society, including in view of the social responsibility of business. The authors set the main global priorities in the formation of the educational environment, taking into account the impact of migration processes,technology development, trends in the spread of "green economy", the digitalization of society. The current needs of employers and interaction with world trends in economic development are analyzed. The authors set the main priorities in the development of the educational environment in view of the tasks set by the World Economic Forum in 2022 and the need to expand the scope of global partnership, the use of best practices in the field of retraining. The connection with technical and technological changes and the development of artificial intelligence is proved. Purpose. The aim of the authors' research is to substantiate the essence and priorities in the development of the educational environment taking into account globalization, global trends and needs of employers, the need to ensure effective partnerships, accelerate retraining, personal adaptation to change. Results. Current global trends reflect the need to expand the scope of educational services to meet the needs and interests of the individual, as evidenced by analysts at the World Economic Forum. Changes in approaches to the provision of knowledge and skills are due to trends in digitalization of processes and the Internetization of areas of activity. The World Economic Forum highlighted the issue of working on skills that are relevant to employers and need to accelerate the retraining process, which confirms the need to set appropriate priorities in the educational environment. It is determined that the stimulation and development of the educational environment is an investment in the future with a focus on innovation and personality. Conclusions. The authors proved that the implementation of the tasks in the global educational environment should be focused on practice-oriented learning and providing opportunities for competencies that will contribute to the adaptation and socialization of the individual to global change. The authors determined that the focus on common competencies will contribute to the adaptation of the individual to changes in the global world. Accelerating trends in technology development, digitalization and Internet, as well as migration processes encourage the introduction of changes in the educational environment and the use of mechanisms for training and .retraining

A new model of personnel training in the digital economy

This study was conducted in the context of the emergence of the need for professional retraining in Russia and the world. The article conducted a research for scientific and practical research on the following key questions: why professional retraining has become a burning issue for organizations; what retraining models are used by organizations. The purpose of the work is to identify a list of socio-economic trends in the formation of an acute need for retraining. The empirical basis of the study was information prepared on the basis of open statistical data from Rosstat and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as resources of analytical publications and scientific publications, including materials from international organizations, leading consulting companies, global associations, leading educational institutions and other active participants in the global educational environment and labor market experts. The collected material allows us to see the general trends in the implementation of professional retraining programs and to formulate certain conclusions. The novelty of the research is to present a new model of personnel retraining, as the integration of business, higher education and the state. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that it will allow companies in the face of new technological challenges to combine business needs with the fundamental training of a specialist for his movement along a new career path. At the level of organizations and the state, it will help to overcome the emerging personnel and skills gaps by creating massive retraining programs. The tools of this transformation will create an environment in which employees themselves can keep up with the pace of change, produce new solutions faster than competitors, increase their expertise and build a reputation.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

The phenomenon of digitalization of education is interconnected with the features of the modern generation, which is rapidly integrating into the global educational space. Active involvement of personalized services in the lives of young people exacerbates the problem of finding new educational technologies, updating the content of education to meet individual educational needs, personal and professional self-determination in the context of their life and career growth. Digitalization of the educational environment expands the possibilities of communication, changes the social situation, transforms the motivational and value sphere, affects the personal and professional self-determination of students as a digital generation immersed in the digital environment and digital communications, the bearer of computer-generated values , mobile devices, Internet, social networks. The digitalization of education is a powerful trend in reforming and modernizing the global educational environment and involves the conversion of all types of information from various sources into digital language. Forecasts suggest the transition of the learning process to a digital environment as a turning point in the history of education. The article investigates the preconditions and current trends in the global digitalization of education. The necessity of using new digital pedagogical technologies is reasoned and the possibilities of access to various tools for expanding the field of blended learning are outlined. It is confirmed that the digitalization of the educational environment expands the boundaries of communication, changes the social situation, transforms the motivational and value sphere, affects the personal and professional self-determination of students. It was found that the introduction of the digital technologies in education is the dominant trend of reforming and modernizing the global educational environment and involves the conversion of all types of information into digital language.

Students\u2019 learning behavior in digital education for radiation oncology

PurposeDigitalization of medical education is an important trend in terms of reforming and modernizing the global education environment. It has been long requested by students and politicians. The goal of this study was to assess the student perception of a newly developed digital educational program in radiation oncology (RO) using an interactive e‑book combined with short learnings clips on a YouTube channel combined with periodic videoconferences and a forum for queries.MethodsWe performed five evaluations during and at the end of two terms with multiple-choice and free-text answers. We evaluated student perception of our new digital learning scenario in three semesters: one pre-clinical and two clinical semesters. In addition, we analyzed all comments from the kMED forum, the YouTube channel, or the e‑mail contacts.We analyzed the learning behavior of the students based on access to the videos and the number and quality of the reflective questions answered as well as the results of the final examinations.ResultsThe students accepted the offer for asynchronous teaching and mainly learned on weekdays (74% of the videos), but also on weekends (23%) and less on public holidays (4%). The answer quality of the reflective questions was good with over 50% correct answers on the first attempt. Learning to be on one’s own authority was very difficult for the students, even in the last clinical semesters of the medical study. Without direct intervention by the teacher, access to the learning material by the students was limited and delayed. Therefore, voluntary interim tests were performed during the first analysis term, which led to an increased number of student accesses to the videos and higher number of answers. Nevertheless, in the first analysis term, the average results in the final exam of the students who did not perform the interim test were below average at 59.1%, and the students who performed the test had better results at 69.5% but this was also not satisfactory. In the second analysis term, we taught with the same digital teaching model but with an additional scheme for learning over the term, 2‑week compulsory intermediate tests, and frequent videoconferences to answer any questions. In this term, we measured a success rate of 93% in the final exam. All annotations were very positive regarding the new educational project. The evaluations showed high acceptance of the new education program. The students stated they would prefer the new education course to be continued in future.ConclusionDigital teaching methods make not only the type and quality of teaching transparent, but also the learning behavior of the students. Our analysis has shown that, in addition to the quality of the teaching, the clear structure and specification of the learning content per learning week as well as regular monitoring of what has been learned are of decisive importance for the learning success of the students.

Digital competence framework for higher education students: suggesting approach derived from relevant publications to vietnamese institutions

Nowadays, digital competence is recognized as one of eight core key competencies for lifelong learning. University students, in the context of education digital transformation, necessarily possess digital competence to be able to study and work in today's open and global educational environment. To develop digital competencies for students, the most important, time-consuming and labor-intensive first step is to determine the conceptual definition and an appropriate digital competence framework. For countries conducting digital transformation in the later stages like Vietnam, inheriting the achievements of previous countries is the optimal and smart choice. Using theoretical research methods, this article synthesizes the concept and structure of digital competence in higher education context from relevant publications, as a basis to suggest an approach in selecting a digital competence framework that is suitable to develop digital competence for university students in Vietnam.
