The determination of the dynamic properties and ground effect of the soil plays an important role in reducing the damages due to earthquakes. One of the methods determining the soil dynamic properties of a region is the measurement of microtremors and the microtremor method has been widely used for this purpose in recent years. Microtremor measurements were made at 36 points in order to determine the local soil properties in Kütahya Dumlupınar University Evliya Çelebi Campus which constantly needs new construction due to the increasing students’ number. The recordings were evaluated with the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio method developed by Nakamura and predominant period and magnification values were determined for each measurement points. The results were interpreted by considering both the SESAME criteria and the geotechnical conditions of the study area and the predominant period and magnification maps were obtained. Accordingly, the results obtained for the overall study area support to each other and accurately reflect the characteristics of the ground.
