The problem of optimization of the system for diagnosing damage in the blades of gas turbine engines in nonstationary conditions is considered. A model for calculating the pressure inside a capsule with an ionizing substance is proposed, taking into account the centrifugal gas forces and the non-uniformity of the temperature field. Expressions are obtained for determining the minimum possible diameter of capsules placed in the blade body in order to increase the effectiveness of the crack detection system. It was established that the pressure in the volume of the capsule varies exponentially in the radial direction with the highest value in the peripheral section of the blade.
