INTEGRATION OF EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

The article deals with the problem of differentiation and scientific research of scientific knowledge in chemistry at the university. The strategic foundations of science and education incorporation in modern society are presented, together with the main objectives and tasks to enhance their collaboration. The combination of science and education on the foundation of universities has been formed as a multifaceted process, involving the construction of a global data environment, a unified educational space, and the employment of various new teaching methods.One of the research disciplines of chemistry at the university was chosen as a model for studying the mechanisms of integration and differentiation. The relational integration of various fields of knowledge and scientific research in chemistry is considered in detail. The paper exposes the issues that initiate the procedure of combining pedagogical education with science; reveals the areas of work of the department that contribute to the development of scientific research and interaction of the educational process; proposes new fundamental and comprehensive professional skills required for the construction of upcoming bachelors and masters of pedagogical education ready for an innovative combination of knowledge and scientific activity centered around the exploration of the field;educational and analyzed ways to improve the effectiveness of the pedagogical university in the integration of research works are proposed.The purpose of the article is to offer an opportunity to study chemical theories, to develop knowledge and scientific and theoretical knowledge of universities.

Analysis of Open-Ended Problem-Solving Ability in Mathematics in Terms of Cognitive Style

Problem-solving ability is a fundamental skill. Problem-solving is an effort to find a way out of a difficulty to achieve a goal to be achieved. There are 4 stages in solving problems as follows: understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing the plan, and checking back. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The goal is to explain the ability of open-ended problem-solving mathematics students in terms of cognitive style type Field Independent and Field Dependent. Selection of the subject of this study using cognitive style test instrument Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT). The results of this study showed that the FI subject was able to answer correctly without any doubt and was able to answer the question independently while the FD subject was able to answer the question there was doubt but answered correctly and when answering the question asked the researcher.

Strategies for improving student swimming skills using training methods and media

Many students find that swimming is a necessary skill, yet many struggle to learn the appropriate form due to inadequate teaching. Learning can happen faster with the right training media, and knowledge of swimming techniques can be improved. Innovative teaching methods and training media are needed to optimise students' mastery of swimming skills. This study is to assess how well proper workout regimens and media can enhance fundamental swimming skills. This study uses an action research design, where three action research cycles are (1) preparation, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. If at least 75% of children can perform basic swim movements in a crawling style successfully, then this learning has been successful. This study used a percentage analysis methodology as its analytical method. While at least 75% of students who received a completeness score in swimming during the first cycle showed success in basic crawl style movements, the learning results of students' movements were not in accordance with the success indicators; only 55.55% of students achieved the overall target. The number of students who achieved the goal in the second cycle increased to 32 or 71.11%. At the end of the cycle, 40 students, or 88.89% of students, achieved the overall target. According to the study's findings, the basic swimming ability of adolescent students can be improved by using land exercises and training tools.

Increased Salivary BDNF and Improved Fundamental Motor Skills in Children Following a 3-Month Integrated Neuromuscular Training in Primary School.

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a protein involved in synaptic transmission and neuronal plasticity, which underlie the processes of learning and memory formation. Acute exercise and exercise training increase BDNF concentration. We aimed to evaluate the effects of a 3-month integrated neuromuscular training (INT) on salivary BDNF concentration and the mastery of fundamental motor skills in school-aged children. An additional goal was to explore the associations between potential changes in BDNF and fundamental motor skills. Sixty-seven primary school-aged children were randomly allocated to control (N = 32; 7.52 ± 0.31 y) or INT groups (N = 35; 7.56 ± 0.29 y). A 3-month INT was applied during the warm-up of physical education (PE) classes, twice weekly. Salivary BDNF was measured using a sandwich-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and the mastery of fundamental motor skills was assessed using the CAMSA test, at baseline and after 3 months. The children in the INT group, as compared to the children in the control group, exhibited higher salivary BDNF (F = 8.865; p = 0.004), higher scores for sidestep (F = 13.240, p = 0.001), 1-foot hop (F = 11.684, p = 0.001), kick (F = 4.010, p = 0.050), the sum of locomotor skills (F = 18.799, p < 0.0001), and the sum of control and manipulative skills (F = 8.151, p = 0.006), as well as the total sum of fundamental motor skills (F = 11.266, p = 0.001) after the 3 months. Interestingly, the increase in salivary BDNF concentration after the 3-month INT was associated with an improvement in locomotor skills (beta = 0.385; p = 0.039; adjusted R2 = 0.088) and the total improvement in fundamental motor skills (beta = 0.428; p = 0.020; adjusted R2 = 0.124). A school-based 3-month INT increased salivary BDNF and improved the mastery of fundamental motor skills in children, highlighting the positive impact of this intervention for a pediatric population.

Multistakeholder Perspectives on the Determinants of Family Fundamental Movement Skills Practice: A Qualitative Systematic Review.

Childhood obesity is a significant public health crisis that is exposing children to associated morbidities and premature mortality. However, parents can positively influence physical activity trajectories and improve health outcomes by nurturing fundamental movement skills (FMS) in children. This is the first study to explore the determinants of family FMS practice via a systematic synthesis of qualitative evidence. Keyword searches were completed in SPORTDiscus, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase. Studies that offered perspectives relating to influences on the FMS of 2-6-year-old children in the family context via qualitative approaches, including visual methodologies that provided an important voice to children, were included. A thematic analysis was used to establish key themes. The emergent themes included parent knowledge and beliefs, self-efficacy of parents to teach, and the home environment. Parents often undervalued FMS and lacked the self-efficacy to teach due to poor understanding, conflicting priorities, and multifaceted societal influences. Children preferred autonomous play and socialisation but were negatively influenced by technology and restrictive household rules. Greater knowledge exchange between stakeholders is necessary to empower parents and enhance FMS application at home. More community initiatives could facilitate greater access to outdoor spaces, facilities, and equipment, which may improve family engagement with FMS.

The Use of Short Clip Movie on Reading Comprehension at Higher Education

Reading is a fundamental skill that requires deliberate study and mastery in order to acquire knowledge and collect information. Conversely, videos provide an enjoyable method for both language acquisition and entertainment. The goal of this study is to investigate if watching short clip movies can enhance the reading comprehension of higher education students, who often have challenges in learning to read. The research approach employed in this study is correlation. The researcher collects data from second semester students at the English Language Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. The study used a convenience sample approach to gather data. The allocation of this research is done in a convenience sampling among students belonging to a specific class. The researcher will employ a questionnaire and a test to gather data regarding the experience of watching a brief movie clip with English subtitles. The test will specifically focus on measuring reading comprehension abilities. The study findings indicate a very low correlation and a positive correlation between students' reading comprehension and using of short clip movie.

Effectiveness of Capacity Building Programme on Competency of Electrocardiogram (ECG) Interpretation Among Critical Care Nurses

This study investigates the effects of a capacity-building programme on the competency of ECG interpretation among critical care nurses. Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation is a fundamental clinical skill essential for the rapid diagnosis of potentially life-threatening conditions. Misinterpretation of ECGs can result in inappropriate clinical decisions, leading to adverse patient outcomes. This study, conducted at a tertiary care hospital with over 1600 beds and six fully equipped intensive care units, aimed to improve the knowledge and practice of ECG interpretation among nurses frequently recording ECGs. A quantitative quasi-experimental study was conducted with 100 nurses selected using non-probability purposive sampling. Pre-test and post-test assessments were used to evaluate knowledge and practice, and data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the study group had significantly higher post-test knowledge and practice scores compared to the control group, with a strong positive correlation between knowledge and practice scores. The findings highlight the importance of continuous education and training for healthcare professionals.

Ultrasound of the gallbladder: not the same bag of tricks.

Imaging evaluation of the gallbladder is a fundamental skill in the majority of radiology practice. Due to ease of accessibility, low cost, lack of ionizing radiation, and excellent spatial resolution, ultrasound is often the first imaging modality used to evaluate the gallbladder. In this invited article we review and update how ultrasound can evaluate common pathologies including gallbladder polyps, tumefactive sludge, adenomyomatosis, and acute cholecystitis. We also discuss the role of Doppler, microvascular flow imaging, and contrast enhanced ultrasound in the sonographic assessment of the gallbladder.

Perceptions Matter! Active Physical Recreation Participation of Children with High and Low Actual and Perceived Physical Competence.

Emerging evidence suggests that the accuracy of a child's perceived physical competence (PPC) impacts participation in physical activity. We examined differences in active physical recreation (APR) participation based on clusters of high and low motor competence and perceptions from grades 3-5. Participants were a longitudinal sample (n = 155; 85 girls) of grade three, four, and five children. Fundamental motor skills (FMSs) were assessed using the TGMD-2, perceptions were assessed using the Self-Perception Profile for Children, and APR was measured using the Children's Assessment of Participation and Enjoyment. K-means cluster analysis was used to create four clusters per grade based on participants' FMSs and PPC z-scores. Differences in FMSs, PPC, and APR with cluster group as a factor were examined using a series of factorial ANOVAs. In each grade, participants in the high-high cluster participated in significantly more APR than those in the low-low cluster (p = 0.002 in grades three and four; p < 0.001 in grade five). Among the less accurate clusters (e.g., low FMSs with high PPC) was a trend toward positive FMSs growth among the children with higher perceptions. Results show that combinations of FMSs and PPC influence patterns of engagement or disengagement in active physical recreation persistently across middle childhood.

Boosting Caption Craft: Instagram and WH-Questions to Elevate Student Writing

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively through written text is a fundamental skill that students need to master for better English acquisition. In particular, digital communication has become increasingly prevalent, with social media platforms like Instagram that students might be involved in various writing activities such as descriptive captions, storytelling, persuasive writing, informational posts, and reflective writing. As such, there is a pressing need to develop innovative teaching strategies that not only improve students' writing abilities but also make the learning process relevant and engaging in the context of their digital lives. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of high school students' ability to write structured paragraphs for captions through Instagram utilizing the WH Question Technique. The research engaged 28 twelfth-grade students from SMAN 2 Batang Anai in West Sumatra, Indonesai. The classroom action research framework, conducted over two cycles, each consisting of three sessions. Data collection methods included assessments of student achievements, interviews, and classroom observations, analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The findings demonstrated a notable improvement in students' writing skills; the average score increased from 67.08 in the first cycle to 71.76 in the second. Improvements were particularly significant in the students' ability to generate ideas and adapt their writing for social media, specifically Instagram. The study concludes that the integration of Instagram discussions with WH Question Technique enhance paragraph writing skills in an engaging and practical digital format, proving beneficial for high school students' engagement and skill development in writing.

Purpose-focused SEL in high school: an evaluation of the Wayfinder purpose curriculum

ABSTRACT This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Wayfinder Purpose Curriculum, a universal SEL program that provides educators with tools and training to support high school students’ development of purpose and other fundamental social-emotional skills. A quasi-experimental design was used to evaluate the effect of the curriculum on students’ self-reported purpose, social awareness, cultural awareness, school engagement, school belonging, identity expression, and emotion regulation. Two studies were conducted: Study 1 had a total of 137 high school seniors (including 77 Wayfinder students and 60 comparison group students), and Study 2 had a total of 334 high school freshmen (including 231 Wayfinder students and 103 comparison group students). All participants completed pre and posttest surveys and the survey data were analyzed using ANCOVA. Results indicated a positive effect of the Wayfinder Curriculum on students’ purpose, social awareness, school engagement, sense of belonging, and identity expression.

A snapshot audit of global flexible endoscopy practice among European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons (EAES) and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) surgeons from the EAES Flexible Endoscopy Subcommittee survey.

Endoscopy is an essential skill for all surgeons. However, endoscopic competency, training, and practice may vary widelyamong them. The EAES Flexible Endoscopy Subcommittee is working towards a standardized set of fundamental endoscopic knowledge and skills. To best advise on current practice patterns of flexible endoscopy among surgeons worldwide, a snapshot audit was conducted on the training, use, and limitations of flexible endoscopy in practice. An online survey was distributed via email distribution and social media platforms for EAES, SAGES, and WebSurg members. Respondent demographics, training, and practice patterns were assessed. The main outcome measure was theannual endoscopic volume. Multivariate regression and machine learning models analyzed relationships between outcomes and independent variables of age, geographic region, laparoscopic surgery practice, and surgical specialization. A total of1486 surgeons from 195 countries completed the survey. Respondents were mainly general (n = 894/1486, 60.2%), colorectal (n = 189/1486, 12.7%), bariatric (n = 117/1486, 7.9%), upper gastrointestinal (GI)/foregut (n = 108, 7.3%), hepatobiliopancreatic/HPB (n = 59/1486, 4%), and endocrine surgeons (n = 11/1486, 0.7%) in active practice. Eighty-two percent (n = 1,204) mentioned having used endoscopy in theirpractice, and 64.7% (n = 961/1486) received formal flexible endoscopy training. Of those performing endoscopyannually, 64.2% (n = 660/1486) performed between0and20endoscopies, 15.2% (n = 156/1486) performed between20and50endoscopies, 10.1% (n = 104/1486) performed between50and100endoscopies, and 10.5% (n = 108/1486) performed over 100 endoscopies. From the regression analysis, there was no statistical correlation between the annual endoscopy volume and age, geographic region, laparoscopic surgery practice, or surgical specialization. Performing advanced endoscopy was directly related to thebariatric subspecialty and toperforming over 50% of cases in aminimally invasivefashion. This international snapshot audit revealed significant heterogeneity in endoscopic practices among surgeons worldwide. There wasa nonindependent relationship between endoscopy volumes and other variables tested. Barriers to practicing and receiving endoscopy training were common among respondents. The EAES Flexible Endoscopy Subcommittee will consider such results when developing an equitable and effective standardized flexible endoscopy curriculum.

Biopsychosocial and Environmental Correlates of Children’s Motor Competence: An Exploratory Study

BackgroundGiven the significance of motor competence (MC) for healthy development and as a cornerstone for lifelong physical activity (PA), it is crucial to understand the manifold factors that are associated with MC. Thus, the aim of the present study was to investigate correlates of children’s MC and their fundamental movement skills (FMS) within their daily life from a comprehensive biopsychosocial-ecological perspective.MethodsThis is a cross-sectional sub-study of the ‘Physical Literacy for Communities (PL4C)’ WAVES cohort study conducted in the West Vancouver School District, Canada. Motor competence was assessed using the PLAYfun tool including overall MC score and five FMS category scores, namely, running, locomotor skills, upper and lower body control and balance skills. By means of structural equation modeling (SEM), direct associationswith MC and with the specific FMS categories addressing physical activity behavior, self-perceived physical literacy, parenting, and school ground design were investigated.ResultsA total of 355 children with a mean age of 7.5 years and 111.1 min of MVPA per day participated. The group comprised 51% boys and 47% girls from 14 elementary schools. Most children were at an emerging MC-level (71%), while those at a competent MC-level exhibited significantly more daily minutes of MVPA (123 versus 109, p = 0.001). Additionally, they played outdoors more frequently and engaged in more instructor-led PA. The results revealed that logistical support from parents had not only a direct positive association with overall MC, both for girls and boys, but also with most of the FMS categories. However, the correlates of MC varied between genders and showed different patterns across the five FMS categories. While time spent in sports or coach-/instructor-led physical activities had a significant SEM generated direct effect only for boys’ MC and for locomotor, upper body object control and balance, the aesthetic design of the school grounds was only associated with girls’ MC and those same three FMS categories. Multivariate SEM could explain 26% of variance for girls’ MC and 30% for boys’.ConclusionsThis exploratory baseline assessment revealed parental logistical support as an important correlate of MC, irrespective of gender. There were distinct gender patterns across biopsychosocial-ecological correlates influencing MC and FMS. Despite the heterogeneity of the results, our findings indicate a potential role of school ground design in supporting the development of children’s MC, especially for girls.

Formal Methods in Industry

Formal methods encompass a wide choice of techniques and tools for the specification, development, analysis, and verification of software and hardware systems. Formal methods are widely applied in industry, in activities ranging from the elicitation of requirements and the early design phases all the way to the deployment, configuration, and runtime monitoring of actual systems. Formal methods allow one to precisely specify the environment in which a system operates, the requirements and properties that the system should satisfy, the models of the system used during the various design steps, and the code embedded in the final implementation, as well as to express conformance relations between these specifications. We present a broad scope of successful applications of formal methods in industry, not limited to the well-known success stories from the safety-critical domain, like railways and other transportation systems, but also covering other areas such as lithography manufacturing and cloud security in e-commerce, to name but a few. We also report testimonies from a number of representatives from industry who, either directly or indirectly, use or have used formal methods in their industrial project endeavours. These persons are spread geographically, including Europe, Asia, North and South America, and the involved projects witness the large coverage of applications of formal methods, not limited to the safety-critical domain. We thus make a case for the importance of formal methods, and in particular of the capacity to abstract and mathematical reasoning that are taught as part of any formal methods course. These are fundamental Computer Science skills that graduates should profit from when working as computer scientists in industry, as confirmed by industry representatives.

Fundamental Movement Skills in Hong Kong Kindergartens: A Grade-Level Analysis

Fundamental movement skills (FMSs) are essential building blocks for children’s physical development and future participation in physical activities. While early childhood curriculum frameworks recognize the importance of teaching FMSs, little research has been conducted to explore actual teaching practices in center-based programs and their variations across different grade levels. The goals of this study were to investigate (1) the frequency of a variety of FMSs in the physical activities conducted by Hong Kong kindergarten teachers, (2) the association among these FMSs based on the frequency of use in the classroom, and (3) potential differences in FMSs across the three grade levels of kindergarten education in Hong Kong. The participants were 526 kindergarten teachers. Descriptive statistics, principal component analysis, and parametric statistical techniques (e.g., one-way ANOVA) were employed to analyze their responses to a survey, in which we asked teachers to report the frequency with which FMSs are involved in their classroom physical activities. Overall, we found that the participants practiced an imbalanced set of FMSs in classrooms. K3 teachers were found to incorporate a wider variety of FMSs into their physical activities compared to K1 and K2 teachers. Through principal component analysis, seven components of activities were identified. K3 teachers were found to implement more activities involving springing, object manipulation, uneven locomotor movements, and agility and coordination. We concluded that there is a need to provide structured opportunities for teachers to better facilitate children’s FMS acquisition. Offering more explicit guidelines and further professional development for teachers is crucial to enhancing this situation.

"Track style" children's fundamental movement skills test: construction and verification of an efficient evaluation system.

This study aimed to develop an efficient tool for assessing children's fundamental motor skills, the "Track style" Children's Fundamental Movement Skills Test (TCFMST), based on theories of motor development integrated with Chinese cultural context and physical education teaching situations. Starting from a literature analysis, the study selected items from existing fundamental movement skill (FMS) assessments, textbooks, physical education and health standards, and children's movement guidelines to construct a pool of test items. Subsequently, the items were screened and optimized using the Delphi method. Finally, the feasibility, discrimination, difficulty, reliability, and validity of the constructed test were examined using testing methods. The TCFMST includes three dimensions: locomotive skills, body control skills, and manipulative skills, with a total of 10 items. The difficulty and discrimination of each item are appropriate; the correlation coefficients for retest reliability range from 0.789 to 0.943 (p < 0.01). The results of exploratory factor analysis indicate that the common factors align with the hypothesized three dimensions, indicating good structural validity of the test. The concurrent validity results show a correlation coefficient of -0.510 (p < 0.01) between the TCFMST and the total score of TGMD-3, indicating a moderate correlation between the two tests. The TCFMST developed in this study has good difficulty, discrimination, reliability, and validity. It also features strong operability, a short duration, and high interest. It can serve as an important tool for monitoring children's fundamental motor skill levels.

Eye-tracking contribution on processing of (implicit) reading comprehension

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill to be developed from the early stages of reading acquisition and it is essential for both formative and personal learning. This study examines eye-tracking as a useful and complementary tool in the assessment and improvement of implicit reading comprehension. The aim is to understand the role of eye-tracking in implicit reading comprehension and, complementarily, in intervening skills such as vocabulary, rapid automatized naming, and processing speed. In a final sample of 7–8 year-old 67 students, tests for implicit reading comprehension (literal, inferential, and total), eye-tracking measures, vocabulary, rapid automatized naming, processing speed, as well as tests to control for intellectual and attentional levels were administered. The results of the correlational and regression analyses indicate the existence of predictive relationships between (i) implicit reading comprehension and eye-tracking measures, and additionally, (ii) between intervening skills (vocabulary, rapid automatized naming, processing speed) and eye-tracking measures, and (iii) between implicit reading comprehension and intervening skills (vocabulary, rapid automatized naming, processing speed). In summary, better performance in implicit reading comprehension (literal, inferential, and total) is related to and explained by shorter eye movement times in recognition and access to meaning, larger vocabulary, and faster rapid automatized naming and processing speed. Furthermore, eye-tracking measures are better predictors of implicit reading comprehension. These findings provide promising evidence for the contribution of eye-tracking to optimising the level of implicit reading comprehension, which is applied daily in classrooms.

THE EFFECT OF PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT APPROACH ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS IN ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES CONTEXT

Reading comprehension is a crucial component of academic development for students engaged in English for Specific Purposes (ESP). This study investigates the efficacy of alternative assessment methods, specifically performance assessment, in enhancing reading comprehension skills within the ESP context. Given that reading comprehension is a fundamental input skill, deficiencies in this area can significantly impede academic progress. The research employed a pre-test and post-test experimental design with a control group to evaluate the impact of performance assessment on reading comprehension. Participants, after a proficiency test, were randomly assigned to either a control group or an experimental group, each of comparable proficiency levels. The experimental group received continuous assessment and immediate, relevant feedback during the training, while the control group did not receive such assessment or feedback. The experimental group's assessment was facilitated through a detailed assessment grid. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests administered to both groups and analyzed using SPSS (2018). Statistical analyses, including paired samples t-tests and independent samples t-tests, were conducted to measure intra-group progress and inter-group differences. Findings indicate that both groups showed significant improvement in reading comprehension; however, the experimental group exhibited superior performance across all comprehension categories compared to the control group. The results underscore the effectiveness of performance assessment in fostering both higher-order and lower-order reading comprehension skills, suggesting a pronounced advantage over traditional assessment methods. Fundamental movement skills proficiency in preschool-aged boys and girls: Family matters

ABSTRACT To investigate the associations of fundamental movement skill (FMS) proficiency with family factors, including socioeconomic status (SES) and caregiver characteristics, by sex in young children in China. Participants included 1,207 Chinese children aged 3–6 years in this cross-sectional study. Children’s FMS, consisting of locomotor skills and object control (OC) skills, were assessed. Information on family SES and caregiver characteristics was reported by the parents. Sex differences in outcomes and the associations of FMS with family factors by sex were examined using SPSS 26.0. Boys scored significantly higher than girls in terms of overall FMS and OC skills (both p < 0.01). There were significant and negative associations between children’s FMS and parental education level and parental body mass index (BMI), which varied by sex. Boys who were regularly cared for by parents had higher FMS and OC skill scores than did those who were primarily looked after by grandparents (both p < 0.01). This complex interplay between sex and family factors (i.e. parental education level, parental BMI, and the identity of primary caregiver) on FMS proficiency in young children underscores the urgent need for developing sex-tailored, family-involved, and socio-culturally adapted interventions to enhance FMS proficiency at the preschool stage.

Exploring the Relationship between Fundamental Movement Skills and Health-Related Fitness among First and Second Graders in Korea: Implications for Healthy Childhood Development.

This study investigated the relationship between fundamental movement skills (FMSs) and health-related fitness (HRF) among first and second graders in South Korean elementary schools. It aimed to provide foundational data for developing physical education programs tailored to the motor development stages and fitness levels of younger elementary school students. This study utilized secondary data from the physical activity competence evaluation conducted by the Health Physical Activity Institute (HPAI). In October 2023, the HPAI evaluated the fundamental movement skills (jumping, running, hopping, static balance, dynamic balance, overhand throwing, and kicking) and health-related fitness (muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, and flexibility) of 291 first and second-grade students. The collected data were analyzed through frequency and multiple regression analyses performed using SPSS software. The results revealed that higher scores in jumping and hopping are associated with greater muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, and flexibility. Running had no significant effect on HRF elements. Higher scores in static balance (i.e., that used in single-leg stance) were associated with increased muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, and flexibility, but dynamic balance (balance beam walking) did not have a significant effect. Higher scores in overhand throwing were associated with greater muscular strength and cardiorespiratory endurance, but kicking did not show a significant association. Overall, these findings emphasize the importance of prioritizing jumping and static balance in physical education for the well-rounded health development of first and second graders. Based on the results derived from this study, it is expected to serve as a theoretical basis for including "jumping" and "static balance" in the first and second grade curriculum of elementary schools, thereby providing essential guidance.
