Innovation in the Management of ZIS (Zakat, Infaq and Shadaqah) in the Zakat Collecting Unit (UPZ) IAIN Madura

The Zakat Management Unit (UPZ) of IAIN Madura is part of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of East Java which has implemented excellent programs in increasing rapid development over the last 5 years effectively and sustainably in the social sector, especially in the management of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah (ZIS) funds. UPZ IAIN Madura conducts data collection, and mapping of muzakki (donors) and mustahiq (beneficiaries) to ensure that the distribution of ZIS funds is on target through superior programs in the form of social assistance, education, health, economy, and other basic needs. The research method carried out by this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with field research techniques through direct observation and interviews with 10 informants, namely the management of UPZ IAIN Madura and several mustahiq. The triangulation carried out is in the form of triangulation of data, theories, and methods. The results of the study show that the management of ZIS at UPZ IAIN Madura is implemented through six flagship programs, namely UPZ Sehat, UPZ Peduli, UPZ Serving, UPZ Sejahtera, UPZ Smart, and UPZ Clean. Innovation in ZIS management is manifested in the form of the use of information technology, applications, and transfer systems in flagship programs, for example, the use of Qris in UPZ Sejahtera, the application of scholarship information technology in UPZ Smart, the use of digital reporting applications in the UPZ Peduli program, health service collaboration in UPZ Sehat, and waste management as a source of funding for social programs in UPZ Bersih.

Social Protection, Informality, and Social Reproduction: A Schematic Analytical Framework for Latin America

The lack of social protection coverage for informal workers is an enduring problem in Latin American countries, to which governments have responded by expanding different forms of social assistance. This solution has been insufficient, however, and it is also criticized for deepening the fragmentation of social protection systems. In this article, I adopt an alternative view to analyze such matters, based on the Theory of Social Reproduction and a schematic representation of National Systems of Social Protection from the French Regulation school. I adapt the schematic representation to portray a typology of systems of social reproduction with informality, which makes up an analytical framework to understand the interaction between informality and social protection. Based on it, I argue that social protection fragmentation and the pervasiveness of informality are both stabilizing social responses in the context of an increased commodification of social reproduction in Latin America. Therefore, these problems should be better addressed through institutional and structural transformations towards decommodification that push capital to internalize the costs of social reproduction.

Participatory communication strategies for poverty alleviation in remote indigenous communities

This study investigates the poverty alleviation approach employed by social services in Medan and the influence of remote indigenous community projects. Poverty results in several social and economic issues, underscoring the importance of identifying and implementing effective strategies to alleviate these challenges. This study investigates the impact of moral communication and social support on poverty reduction. It assesses the effectiveness of social support for communities using integrated data on prosperous families (in Bahasa called DTKS). The study employed a descriptive qualitative research methodology. The researchers obtained data by conducting interviews, observations, and analysing documents. Social services employ Islamic communication strategies to address poverty, encompassing various forms of social assistance. Only localities with integrated data on prosperous families can receive this funding. Social services employ this approach to diminish poverty and empower the community. For isolated indigenous tribes, social services extend beyond Islamic communication to implement policies that provide practical vocational training programmes that promote work integration and technical oversight. This study examines the utilisation of Islamic communication and social agencies' assistance to combat poverty. It also provides guidance for policies and activities specifically targeted towards indigenous communities. These discoveries can provide valuable insights for shaping future social service practices and regulations.

PERBANDINGAN KINERJA METODE KLASIFIKASI K-NEAREST NEIGHBOR DAN SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINES PADA DATASET PARKINSON

The government program in the form of social assistance (bansos) is part of the effort to improve the welfare of the community and ensure basic needs and improve the standard of living of the recipients. However, there are often cases of mistargeting of social assistance programs by the government. Improper data management and Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial (DTKS) which are not used as the cause of the distribution of social assistance are not well targeted. The data can be analyzed using the classification method to determine whether or not the family accepts the ban from the government. This study classifies the SUSENAS data by comparing K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Support Vector Machines (SVM). The advantage of the KNN method lies in the level of accuracy to solve problems with large data while the SVM method has better performance in various fields of application such as bioinformacs, handwriting recognition, text classification and so on. Based on training data and testing data comparison 85%:15% showed that KNN method had a better classification performance than the SVM method. The accuracy value of KNN method is 80,95% higher than the accuracy value of SVM method is 78,79%.

Community-based Social Protection for the Elderly in Werdha Coral Bimo Seno Cartoharjo Township Madiun

The elderly life stage is a stage of life that has risks in various aspects of life, however, elderly people still have the desire to maintain their independence and dignity in social life. Therefore, care and protection for the elderly must also pay attention to the social environmental conditions of the elderly's life. Social protection in the form of social assistance and social security for the elderly needs to continue to be improved so that it can bring benefits that can be felt directly by the elderly. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, which aims to describe community-based social protection for the elderly through Karang Werdha Bimo Seno, Kartoharjo Village, Madiun City. The research results show that Karang Werdha Bimo Seno is a Geographical Community and a Functional Community and is an organization that emerged on the initiative of the community and stakeholders in Kartoharjo Village. Karang Werdha Bimo Seno's activities in providing social protection for the elderly include direct services such as; Elderly sports activities and health services for the elderly, as well as financial assistance provided every two weeks to the elderly in turn, can help overcome the vulnerability of the elderly. Indirect social protection for the elderly (indirect services), namely through health services with five Posyandu in Kartoharjo Village, assistance for the elderly with Wahana Kesejahteraan Sosial Berbasis Masyarakat (WKSBM), as well as various assistance and services for the elderly from both the regional and central government. Community-based social protection for the elderly implemented by Karang Werdha Bimo Seno in the form of direct services and indirect services in Kartoharjo Village, Madiun City contributes to supporting the lives of the elderly in their community environment.

Politik Kesejahteraan Sosial dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat: Kasus Ketergantungan Kebijakan Bantuan Sosial di Temanggung, Jawa Tengah

<p>One of the government's strategies for overcoming poverty is to reduce the burden of public expenditure, which is realized in the form of social assistance. The government's social welfare policy in the form of social assistance is something that is truly phenomenal and is always eagerly awaited by the recipients. One of the effects is to provide a sense of security and feel like you are in a comfort zone, in other words, dependence on social assistance. But there are beneficiaries who are dissatisfied with their situation, they want positive changes and not to be recipients of social assistance forever. They made conscious changes by empowering their group of fellow recipients of the Family Hope Program's social assistance. This research is field research in the form of a case study located in Temanggung Regency with the research object being a Joint Business Group which carries out the establishment and initial capital independently, namely from the results of setting aside some of the social assistance money they receive. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, while data is obtained from observations, interviews and documentation studies from related sources. This article tries to review the theme with Anthony Giddens' structuration theory, which states that all social action requires agents and structures where agents and structures cannot be separated from each other because they are dual. This also happens to Joint Business Groups as agents and government policies as structures, both of which are interrelated and influence each other.</p><p> </p>

Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure and Profitabilitas: Evidance From Indonesian Mining Companies

In non-mining companies, CSR patterns are numerous in the form of social assistance, scholarships, or the development of city facilities. However, for mining companies, the concept of CSR is patterned back to a time, namely the concept of renewal or natural care. This type of research is both descriptive and quantitative, and the method used for linear regression is simple. A sample of six mining companies with a total of 30 financial statements Mining companies in Indonesia. The result of the hypothesis means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected; that is, CSR disclosure has no effect on the return on assets. The results of the coefficient of determination analysis (R square of 14.4%) show that CSR disclosure contributes to the return on assets with a contribution of 14.4%. The organization manages its legitimacy according to the type of its social contract with society. Another factor for CSR disclosures to mining companies in Indonesia is the presence of political costs. Another form of contract fees that can be explained is the attitude of managers towards disclosure of information.

The Lack of Social Work Schemes as an Impediment to Social Work Practice in Nigeria

The research focused on social welfare schemes and Social Work. The methodology was qualitative comprising secondary sources of research. The theoretical perspective was the Devereux and Sabates-Wheeler (2004) transformative social protection theory. The lack of social welfare schemes led to inability of the public and most especially the most vulnerable Nigerians to get any form of social assistance. This led to extreme poverty which triggered insecurity and violent crimes across the country. The lack of budgetary allocation to fund social welfare schemes impeded the ability of government to recruit Social Workers to fulfil their professional duties of child protection, upholding human rights abuses of vulnerable Nigerians, providing services in public and private organisations. The Findings: the lack of social welfare is an impediment to effective social work practice and tremendous social suffering among the Nigerian public. Conclusion: Government should consider enacting laws to make the country a social welfare state so as to pay social welfare benefits to the unemployed and the most vulnerable Nigerians. Recommendations: Laws should be enforced to punish violators of human rights. Religious institutions should be encouraged to build retirement homes for their members so as to ease the housing needs of the aged population.

Pengembangan Aplikasi Berbasis Android Untuk Sistem Kesejahteraan Sosial Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial Kabupaten Jember

Validation of the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) needs to be carried out because the government uses this data as a basis for providing various forms of social assistance. Valid data is one of the efforts so that the social assistance provided is right on target. Jember Regency is one of the districts instructed to validate the data. The University of Jember through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) is working with the Regional Government of Jember Regency to carry out DTKS validation efforts. This activity then developed an Android-based application that enumerators used to validate in the field. The data used in the application is based on data already owned by the Jember District Social Service

Participation of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna in the Charitable Institutions under the Auspices of the Imperial House of Romanovs: Traditions and Novations

The article examines the contribution of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna (1864—1918) to the activities of charitable institutions under the patronage of the Imperial House of Romanoff. The article reflects the activities of Elizabeth Feodorovna in the Russian Red Cross Society, the Institution of Empress Maria, the Imperial Philanthropic Society, wartime committees for assistance to soldiers and their families. The author has attempted to show the Grand Duchess's adherence to the traditional ways of charity adopted in the institutions under the care of the House of Romanoff, and her introduction of new ways and forms of social assistance to all those in need in peacetime and during wars.

ГОСУДАРСТВЕННАЯ ПОДДЕРЖКА КАК ОДИН ИЗ ЭЛЕМЕНТОВ ПОВСЕДНЕВНОЙ ЖИЗНИ СЕМЕЙ ФРОНТОВИКОВ В УСЛОВИЯХ ВЕЛИКОЙ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННОЙ ВОЙНЫ 1941–1945 ГОДОВ (НА МАТЕРИАЛАХ ДАГЕСТАНСКОЙ АССР)

The work, written on the basis of diverse sources, literature and memoirs of contemporaries, shows the state of families of front-line soldiers in the conditions of the Great Patriotic War, as well as measures taken by party and state structures of various levels in Dagestan to provide normal living conditions for them. The article concludes that, despite the objective difficulties faced by many families of Red Army soldiers who found themselves in difficult living conditions, they were sympathetic to the problems characteristic of the war period. According to the author, the main forms of social assistance to the relatives of front-line soldiers in Dagestan during the war years were the payment of benefits, the provision of various benefits to disabled veterans and families of front-line soldiers, as well as the adoption of measures for their employment. Of no small importance was the help from enterprises and public organizations of Dagestan, which assumed part of the responsibility for the family members of the front-line soldiers, thereby solving everyday problems. The material used in the study shows that despite the existence of objective problems, support for military families was among the priorities of the country's leadership, thereby strengthening the faith of the Red Army soldiers in the victory over Nazism, and becoming one of the sources of the manifestation of the heroism of the people in the Great Patriotic War.

Government Policy on Accessibility of Persons with Disabilities in Finding Jobs in Pematangsiantar City

This study aims to determine the Government Policy on Accessibility of Persons with Disabilities in Finding Jobs in Pematangsiantar City. this research uses a qualitative approach. The result of this study shows Government policies related to the accessibility of persons with disabilities in obtaining employment in Pematangsiantar City are not yet fully available. This can be seen from the unavailability of programs for handling persons with disabilities from the P3A Social Service in the form of social assistance, skills training, and social advocacy for the fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities. Programs from the Manpower Office are not yet available, namely the lack of advocacy carried out by the Manpower Office regarding the marketing of workers with disabilities, the availability of job vacancies information, the provision of job fairs, and training programs for disabilities that are still planned but have not been realized. The program from the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) has not met the 2% quota for employing persons with disabilities.

Fiscal transfers in Turkey: Do politics matter?

Local fiscal transfer rules in Turkey were revised in 2008, such that, while a significant portion of transfers continued to be based on population size, the remainder was distributed based on other criteria such as the development index. In this paper, we investigate the extent of fiscal fairness in Turkey during the period 2008–2012. We define fiscal fairness by the degree of association of transfers and local spending with the structural and socioeconomic indicators, as opposed to political-party associations. Our empirical analysis reveals that while local fiscal transfers during the investigated period were significantly correlated with the socioeconomic and structural indicators, political factors also played a significant role. Particularly, we find robust evidence that cities where the incumbent party-AKP (Justice and Development Party), who won significantly more votes in the general elections than the main opposition party-CHP (Republican People's Party), received significantly more transfers and fiscal spending than the rest. The evidence also suggests that the metropolitan municipalities held by CHP received significantly more government expenditure than the rest; though less robust than the former. This observation also holds for the metropolitan municipalities held by AKP. Additionally, we observe that cities with metropolitan municipalities that were governed by either the incumbent or the main opposition party, were less fiscally independent than the rest. We also note, however, that given the increasing opacity in data reporting, this study does not account for the large amounts of public funds that are allocated in tenders with special invitees, via public–private partnerships or in the form of social assistance, although they are also likely to constitute a major component of politically-biased fiscal transfers during the study period.

Politician’s Strategy After The Pandemic: Strengthening of Patronage Goods in The Form of Social Assistance

This research describes and analyzes the strategies of politicians to attract voter support in electoral politics by providing patronage goods or club goods. The study of this strategy is increasingly relevant considering the Covid-19 pandemic that has emphasized to political actors the importance of social assistance (in Indonesian: bansos,etc.). In some areas, especially those with a flow-political landscape in the form of strong links between parties and social and religious organizations, it shows that local politicians are cooperating with organizations that share a platform with parties to distribute social assistance. However, this research confirms the academics' opinion, such as Edward Aspinall, who believe that giving from politicians with the motive of gaining mass support for party interests, and of course electoral politics, can be said to be an affirmation of patronage democracy. Through comparative analysis with several cases of social assistance distribution that have existed, this study strengthens the main thesis about patronage items as a binding of loyalty between the mass of voters whose numbers are very beneficial for parties and party politicians.

СОЦИАЛЬНАЯ ПОЛИТИКА В ОТНОШЕНИИ СЕМЕЙ ВОЕННОСЛУЖАЩИХ В ГОДЫ ВЕЛИКОЙ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННОЙ ВОЙНЫ (НА МАТЕРИАЛАХ СЕВЕРНОЙ ОСЕТИИ)

The article considers the directions of social work with military families during the great Patriotic war. Archived sources and ego-documents introduced into scientific circulation allow us to analyze this problem from different sides. It is noted that assistance to this category of population was provided in several ways. First of all, this is state support and patronage, which allowed us to provide targeted assistance in the form of food and manufactured goods parcels, housing benefits, placement of children in kindergartens and schools, and preferential employment rights. Along with the state, the families of combatants were supported by public organizations, trade unions, etc. The Timur movement has also become a form of social assistance for this category of population. In regional historiography, little attention is paid to the problem of adaptation of war invalids in the conditions of the rear region, which also turned out to be another poorly protected layer of Soviet society. State assistance consisted not only in awarding disability pensions, but also in organizing retraining with further employment, and solving the housing problem. For the first time, the article raises the issue of providing assistance to children of military personnel, including orphans. The scope of the measures that the state has provided to support children is analyzed. Of great scientific interest is the analysis of ego documents-complaints, statements, letters, which give an idea of the problems faced by military families in everyday life. It is concluded that paternalistic social policy was closely intertwined with public assistance from voluntary organizations, youth unions and ordinary citizens of the Republic.

THE SPIRITUAL BIOPSYCHOSOCIALS IN SOCIAL PROTECTION ON JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

The long-term goal of this research is to develop a method of dealing with social problems on juvenile delinquency with a Biopsychosocial - spiritual method as a way to restore the functioning of children affected by legal issues that are being fostered in Class II Sukamiskin Prison. Social protection for juvenile deliquency through various forms of service with an emphasis on aspects of spiritual biopsychosocial is in the best interest of juvenile deliquency in terms of protection in the form of social assistance, social insurance, and empowerment. Even though the child is in custody, but they are also entitled to various kinds of protection and guarantees like other normal children, such as access to education, health, spiritual services, socialization and participating in various other skills and extracurricular activities. All aspects of social protection must support a child's biopsychosocial spiritual needs. Sukamiskin's class II rehabilitation institution which has the authority in the delivery of services to juvenile deliquency must also cooperate with other institutions in providing social protection efforts. The specific target of this research is to provide the best social service efforts for children in order to fulfill children's rights.

Социальное служение неправославных христианских религиозных организаций Дальнего Востока в 1990-е гг..

Incontrol. At present, the formation of a model of social partnership between the state and religious associations to help the most vulnerable segments of the Russian population is of particular importance. The study of the activities of non-Orthodox Christian organizations allows us to take into account historical experience for the development of optimal forms and methods of work not only religious, but also public associations in the social sphere. The methodology chosen by the authors for this study includes a comparative analysis that highlights the most significant problems in each of the studied aspects of the activi-ties of non-Orthodox Christian organizations in the Far East of Russia, as well as an ap-peal to qualitative (rather than quantitative) methods of study with a corresponding dynamic approach to the description of the subject. As a result of the study, forms of social assistance, groups of the population to which it was directed and the peculiarities of its organization by religious associations of the region are allocated. It has been proven that the social service of non-Orthodox Christian organizations was missionary in nature. It is emphasized that the authorities considered religious education as equal partners in solving social problems in the subjects of the Far East. There is considerable assistance from foreign missionaries in implementing social programs.

Analisis Kebijakan Pengembangan Usaha Keluarga Sasaran Program Jaminan Sosial Cilegon Mandiri (KSJSCM)

Mayor Regulation No. 7 of 2017 concerning Jaminan Sosial Cilegon Mandiri. (JSCM) is a program that aims to support the fulfillment of basic needs, education, and family health of poor and disadvantaged people in the form of social assistance. One of the goals of this program is for the family who receives the program able to develop businesses that are managed continuously to improve family welfare. This paper tries to provide recommendations to policy implementers regarding policy alternative to develop and manage bussiness of target group (families that receive JSCM) by formulation of policy analysis issues, formulation of objectives, alternative policies, criteria and assessment of alternative policies and recommendations.

Writing for difference audiences

In Belgium, depending on their immigration status, foreigners may be entitled to different forms of social assistance, ranging from emergency medical care to financial benefits. In a context where residence permits are constantly updated, re-examined or withdrawn by the administration, this article explores the ways in which welfare bureaucrats deal with irregular migrants. Based on ethnographic fieldwork at welfare offices in French-speaking Belgium, this article shows that documentary practices in welfare bureaucracies have the effect of both restricting access to social assistance and aiding irregular migrants in bringing cases against the administration. This article thus also delves into the double-edged relationship of the social workers to the state by focusing on the competing norms and interpretations of law they encounter on a daily basis.

IMPLIKASI KEBERADAAN YOGA ANANDA MARGA UNIT KARANGASEM TERHADAP MASYARAKAT KARANGASEM

<em>Yoga Ananda Marga Unit Karangasem is located on Amlapura City. However, the existence of some people in the city of Amlapura has not been known until now. The study was directed to get clarity about the implications of the existence of the Yoga Ananda Marga Unit Karangasem on the Karangasem community. Data is obtained by observation, interview, documentation, and literature study methods. The results showed that the implications of the existence of the Yoga Ananda Marga Unit in Karangasem include increasing the spiritual awareness of the community by conducting yoga activities with the community both conducted at the Ashram Yoga Ananda Marga Unit Karangasem and outside the ashram, especially yoga asanas, while for fasting camp, akhanda kiirtan and prabhat samgiit exercises were carried out at the Ashram Yoga Ananda Marga Unit in Karangasem; and the implications for social behavior were reflected in the form of social assistance in the form of delivery of groceries, cash assistance, free treatment, and home surgery</em>
