Abstract The use of green energy not only has the potential to preserve fossil fuel reserves but can also have a positive impact on the environment. Briquettes are one of the alternative fuels to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Manual and hydraulic printing of briquettes often experience problems, namely fluctuations in size and pressure in manual printing and leaks in the hydraulic system. Therefore, this research aims to make and test a briquette press machine with a pneumatic system to increase productivity and briquette quality. The results of this study indicate that the effective capacity of the machine is 3,179 kg/hour. The percentage of material left behind is 1.56%. The briquette density value reached 0,58 gr/cm3. The briquette moisture content value is 4.3% and the briquette compressive strength value is 7,22 kg/cm2. The production cost of briquettes is Rp.13,500/kg. BEP is 100 kg/year. R/C ratio is 1,265. NPV of Rp.345,915,642.25. The amount of IRR value obtained in this briquette processing is 45,66% and the PP of this business is 3,6 months. Based on the results of this study, it can be stated that this machine is feasible to use, and the briquette results have met the Indonesian briquette quality.
