Species of the OnobrychisGenus as Promising Species of Azerbaijan Flora

One of the tasks of pharmacy is to find affordable raw materials for herbal medicines. The studies were conducted in Azerbaijan. The results of the studies indicate that Onobrychis species are a rich source of β-arbutin. Arbutin (4-hydroxyphenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside), a monoglycoside form of hydroxyquinone, has been used in the field of cosmetology for several decades due to its effectiveness in the treatment of hyperpigmentation and removal of freckles. Onobrychis species are of significant ecological and economic importance, and also demonstrate intriguing therapeutic properties that have attracted attention in the field of medicine. The presence of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and phenols, which are known for their antioxidant properties, is another noteworthy aspect. Antioxidants play a crucial role in neutralizing harmful free radicals in the body, which are involved in a wide range of diseases and the aging process. Onobrychis has anti-inflammatory properties. It is well known that inflammation is a common factor in many chronic diseases. Plants have antimicrobial, immunostimulating, hypoglycemic, hypocholesterolemic, gastrointestinal tract normalizing and vascular wall strengthening properties. The study of Onobrychis opens up potential prospects in the field of creating natural products.

The community service programme aims to improve makeup skills among the people of Bojongmangu Village. The Bojongmangu Village community has beauty potential that can be developed. Therefore, through this community service activity, the author organised makeup training to improve the knowledge and makeup skills of the community, especially women, in caring for and beautifying their faces. The method of activity implementation includes practical demonstrations and participant training. In addition, this activity also provides practical guidance on how to apply good and correct make-up. The results of the community service activities can have a positive impact, in the form of increased self-confidence, job opportunities in the field of cosmetology, and increased community economy. The existence of this community service activity is expected that the field of makeup can provide tangible benefits to the people of Bojongmangu Village, providing real benefits for the community. Bojongmangu Village community, making a positive contribution to the development of local beauty, and open up new job opportunities in the field of cosmetology.

ORGANIZATION OF SAFETY WHEN PROVIDING COSMETOLOGICAL SERVICES AND PREVENTION OF RISKS OF COMPLICATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Introduction. The article presents the results of a medical and sociological study among consumers of cosmetology services regarding the quality of services and the state of safety, cases of infectious complications, problematic issues of regulatory support. The aim of the study. To establish the risks and factors of complications and diseases of infectious origin as a result of performed cosmetology procedures.
 Materials and methods. Bibliosemantic, medico-sociological research among consumers of cosmetology services, analysis of current regulatory documents, medico-statistical, system analysis and logical generalization methods were used.
 Research results and their discussion. According to the results of a medical and sociological study, a relationship between cosmetology services and infectious complications was established in 23% of respondents. 10% of consumers of cosmetology services had a history of contraindications, as well as allergic reactions to cosmetic products and materials, 29% have a tendency to allergic reactions, but continue to carry out cosmetology procedures. 93% of respondents are cautious and do not rule out the possibility of infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, parenteral viral hepatitis B and C, as well as fungal, staphylococcal and other infections in case of non-compliance with the anti-epidemic regime and the rules of asepsis. Based on the analysis of the regulatory and legal support for the development of the field of cosmetology and the prevention of infection in the field of services for the public, it was found that there is a direct connection between the irregularity of cosmetology practice and the spread of diseases, including those of infectious origin, which leads to the insecurity of consumers and poses a threat public health.
 Conclusions. On the basis of the conducted research, cases of infectious complications among consumers of cosmetology services have been established, which are related to the non-regulation of the activity of the field of cosmetology in legislative, regulatory and regulatory documents. In order to minimize risks, prevent infectious complications and preserve public health, it is necessary to adopt and improve at the state level normative legal acts related to cosmetology, to settle the issues of personnel training, to bring the standards of safety approaches in cosmetology closer to the level of the standards in force in the industry Health Care.

Development of Professional Ethics and Aesthetics E-Modules Based on Problem Based Learning to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Ability

Most students of the Department of Cosmetology and Beauty (TRK) Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FPP) Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) are still unable to think critically in lectures, especially in analyzing problems related to the profession in the field of cosmetology and beauty. In addition, based on the explanation from the supporting lecturers, in Professional Ethics and Aesthetics lectures there are limited learning resources that can support students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to produce E-modules of Professional Ethics and Aesthetics based on Problem Based Learning that are appropriate, effective, and practical. Data collection in this study used validation questionnaires, critical thinking questions, and response questionnaires from students. The research method used is Research and Development. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and N-gain scores. The results showed that the average percentage of e-module feasibility was 94%, so it was included in the feasible category with a little revision. The effectiveness of the E-module in improving critical thinking skills is quite effective with an average percentage of 62.80 % and an N-gain score of 0.67. While the Practicality of the E-module shows a percentage of 90% with practical criteria.

PHYSIOLOGICAL ASPECT OF TWACHA VARNA: A REVIEW

Now a day, Ayurveda is gaining wide popularity in the field of cosmetology. Many cosmetic products are prepared and used on the Ayurvedic concepts. Twacha is matruj bhava. The foetus gets varna in the sixth month of intrauterine life. The word "varna" means lustre of the body. Varna is not just colour but includes all the parameters of healthy and radiant skin. Twacha varna varies among different individuals. In Ayurveda twacha varna occurs as per prakriti. According to current medical science, skin colour depends on the amount of melanin and other factors. So here is an attempt to enlist all the factors responsible for varnotpatti.

Regulatory and legal regulation of medical care in the «cosmetology» profile in the Russian Federation

The theoretical and methodological bases of the present study are scientific works, theoretical and methodological developments, current publications of domestic scientists, official normative legal acts, and description of their application in the practical activities of medical organizations providing cosmetology services. This study aimed to examine studies that have focused on the most pressing issues of the legal regulation of medical care to the population of the Russian Federation in the field of cosmetology, identify the main problems associated with the legal regulation of the industry, and summarize the proposals of medical organizations for its improvement.
 In the study, a survey study was conducted, which allowed researchers to identify and summarize the known literature on this topic, regardless of the publication type and study design. The study presents an analysis of the regulatory and legal regulations of the activities of employees and medical organizations providing services in the field of cosmetology. After completing the initial literature search, the authors analyzed, compared, summarized, and systematized the published information.
 The analysis made it possible to distribute the data obtained in several key areas of regulatory and legal regulation of domestic cosmetology, i.e., an excursion into history, regulatory and legal support for the activities of a cosmetology medical organization at the present stage, modern requirements for the activities of a doctor, in relation to medical cosmetology care. A content analysis was conducted on the use by medical organizations in the regions of the Russian Federation of the regulatory framework of the cosmetology industry, assessed its effect on the system of providing cosmetological care to the population at the present stage, identified several problems related to the legal regulation of the activities of medical cosmetology organizations and summarized proposals for its improvement.

The Review on Aloe Vera : A plant for many uses

Aloe vera is a natural product that is now a day frequently used in the field of cosmetology. Though there are various indications for its use, controlled trials are needed to determine its real efficacy. The aloe vera plant, its properties, mechanism of action and clinical uses are briefly reviewed in this article.

Directions of hyaluronic acid application in cosmetology.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. It is a component of the intercellular matrix of the dermis and is often used as a raw material in cosmetology. This substance was isolated for the first time in the first half of the twentieth century, while cosmetology treatments and aesthetic medicine have been developing rapidly and gaining popularity. The same applies to companies producing cosmetic care products which contain hyaluronic acid. This is related to the growing desire of the society to improve the quality of the skin and maintain its vitality and firmness. The study investigates different directions and possibilities of using hyaluronic acid in cosmetology. Moreover, the paper describes possible side effects observed after hyaluronic acid injections. The study was based on an anonymous questionnaire conducted between October 10, 2021, and February 21, 2022. 513 responses were collected. The awareness and level of knowledge in this field of cosmetology among potential beauty salon clients are on the rise. Hyaluronic acid is used in injections, as well as in care cosmetics, oral and vaginal preparations. Various areas of the face are injected, most often the lips. Face creams are among the most frequently purchased skincare products. The use of hyaluronic acid in cosmetology is multidirectional. It is mainly focused on skincare and specific anti-aging activities. Treatments of this type help preserve the skin's vitality, which translates into an improved quality of life due to the satisfaction of the need for attractiveness.

Rosa davurica Pall., Rosa rugosa Thumb., and Rosa acicularis Lindl. Originating from Far Eastern Russia: Screening of 146 Chemical Constituents in Three Species of the Genus Rosa

Rosa rugosa Thumb., Rosa davurica Pall., and Rosa acicularis Lindl. contain a large number of target analytes which are bioactive compounds. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), in combination with the ion trap (tandem mass spectrometry), was used to identify target analytes in MeOH extracts of R. rugosa, R. davurica, and R. acicularis, originating from the Russian Far East, Trans-Baikal Region, and Western Siberia. The results of initial studies revealed the presence of 146 compounds, of which 115 were identified for the first time in the genus Rosa (family Rosaceae). The newly identified metabolites belonged to 18 classes, including 14 phenolic acids and their conjugates, 18 flavones, 7 flavonols, 2 flavan-3-ols, 2 flavanones, 3 stilbenes, 2 coumarins, 2 lignans, 9 anthocyanins, 3 tannins, 8 terpenoids, 3 sceletium alkaloids, 4 fatty acids, 2 sterols, 2 carotenoids, 3 oxylipins, 3 amino acids, 5 carboxylic acids, etc. The proven richness of the bioactive components of targeted extracts of R. rugosa, R. davurica, and R. acicularis invites extensive biotechnological and pharmaceutical research, which can make a significant contribution both in the field of functional and enriched nutrition, and in the field of cosmetology and pharmacy.

A Literary Review on Cosmetics from Ayurveda Perspective w.s.r. to Beauty

The factors enhancing Beauty are adjuvants like – Dinacharya, Ritucharya, Achara Rasayana, Various methods in the form of internal medicines like Mahakashaya, Surgical treatment like Plastic surgery, Vaikritapaham, Diet as Hitatam, Matravat, Sadapathya dravyas, Medicines like Rasayana, Ghrita, Taila etc are useful. Implementasi Manajemen Penampilan Diri Melalui Pelatihan Beauty Class Bagi Calon Tenaga Administrasi Perkantoran

The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and ability of participants in the field of cosmetology, increase the confidence of the participants in the work environment. The method of this activity consists of the lecture method, demonstration method and evaluation method. The participants of this activity were 36 participants who were candidates for administrative staff who were studying at the second level of the Pusmanu Polytechnic Office Administration Study Program. Based on the observations made, it was found that almost 80% of the activity participants had never done make-up activities and did not know the complete make-up related equipment. The results of this make-up training activity received a positive response from all training participants, participants were very enthusiastic about participating in each stage of the make-up technique and participants were able to apply this activity for themselves. This activity is expected to be sustainable with materials related to make-up, hair care and how to use the hijab in order to improve a professional appearance in the work environment.

Cosmetology: An Ayurvedic Vision

Background- Ayurveda is an ancient science of indigenous medicine, which is special in respect that, it is not only a medical science but is an art of living in human beings. There is a great demand of Ayurveda in the field of cosmetology due to its unique concept about beauty and its effective, cheaper and long-lasting beauty therapy without any side effect. Some medicinal plants like- Haridra, Manjistha, Sariva, Chandana, Amalaki, Ghritkumari, Babul, Lavanga, Shikakai, Ritha, Bhringaraj etc. have been prescribed for beautification of skin, hair, etc. Review methods- The studies done in previous years were found using Medline, Pubmed, Google scholar and by manual search. The searches conducted for determining the role of Ayurveda in cosmetology were included in this study. Results- It has been tried to keenly understand the role of Ayurveda in cosmetology from various aspects. The present review deals with the advantages of Ayurveda in Cosmetology, ayurvedic medicines & medicinal plants as cosmetics. Conclusion- After reviewing the classical texts and several articles, it has been concluded that Ayurvedic beauty concepts and products have bright future in cosmetology. The increased demand for the natural product has created new avenues in cosmeceutical market

Formulation and Evaluation of Aloe Vera Gel Shampoo

Aloe Vera is a natural product which is now a days used in the field of cosmetology. Our formulation is to formulate a herbal shampoo using a plant extract which is used as hair washing and conditioning shampoo to treat hair loss and prevent itching scalp and dandruff. is effective than the marketed shampoo as we have used essential oils like coconut oil which is derived from the coconut palm fruit , lavender oil which is derived from the flowers of lavender, rosemary oil derived from the flowering tops of rosemary. eucalyptus oil which is derived from the leaves of eucalyptus plant and some other excepients like antioxidants stabilizers, solubilizing agents, surfactants, cleansing agents, coloring agents and preservatives. All of these are used for the aim to improve the smoothening , shining and growth of the hair. Our study has evaluated all the tests like foaming ability test, pH determination, skin irritancy test, conditioning performance, wettability and in all those test it has shown good results when compared to the marketed shampoo.

Role of Nasal Instillation with Ayurvedic Polyherbal Formulation in Melasma: A Case Study

Background: External beauty of human being is mainly dependent upon the quality of skin. Melasma is common hyperpigmentation disorder in the facial skin of the Indian women. It is the cause of common socio-cosmetic stigma along with hindrance to the success of more or less all professions. Allopathic management of melasma is having higher recurrence rate with mild to moderate adverse effect. This case study is to establish a scientific data to the Ayurvedic cosmetology in the management of melasma. Case summary: A 25 year old female, known case of melasma since last 5 years attended OPD of Panchakarma dept. Rishikul campus. After assessing the nidan and samprapti, she was planned for nasya with kumkumadi tailam along with some herbomineral compound. Allopathic medication which she had been taking for the same problem was reduced in tapering dose and after 1 week she was completely on Ayurvedic management. During the total study period (56 days) the patient was assessed for five times. Patient had shown significant improvement in symptoms like darkness, area involvement, itching, swelling, dryness related to the patches. Subjective and Objective parameters of the study is observed and assessed with the criteria as per the modern cosmetology. Conclusion: Ayurveda, in the field of cosmetology is a promising aspect of practice. This single case study has shown highly significant result with combined management of Ayurvedic internal medication with panchakarma therapy. It surely can lead to find out solution of different problems in the field of cosmetology with Ayurvedic/panchakarma treatment.

How has the pandemic lockdown changed our daily facial skincare habits?

BackgroundDuring the COVID‐19 pandemic, Poland implemented widespread closure of beauty and cosmetic services to control the virus spread.AimsThe aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the SARS‐CoV‐2 pandemic on home face care of women and to analyze changes that have occurred in their daily habits.Patients/MethodsAn online survey was completed by 412 women living in Poland during the spring lockdown. Questions addressed changes in face care during the COVID‐19 pandemic.Results and conclusionsOur questionnaire showed that during the lockdown, women were more interested in face skincare, more often followed the procedure of full home skincare. And after implementing the changes in skincare, they saw a good impact on their skin. The significance of the Internet also increased considerably, not only as a source of knowledge in the field of cosmetology but also as a thriving market selling cosmetic products.

The assessment of usefulness of innovative instrumental treatments for non‑invasive reduction of a double chin

One of the most common defects in the facial area is the so‑called “double chin”. The problem affects both males and females, and its occurrence is associated with several different factors. It is commonly believed that this defect is a result of excessive adipose tissue location in the lower face. However, the problem seems to be more complex. It is also facilitated by the loss of firmness and elasticity of ageing skin, and in many persons the existence of a double chin results from their anatomical structure, and therefore is determined by genes. Besides, incorrect posture accentuates the defect. It may seem that such minor change does not affect the appearance to a large extent. Whereas, in most cases it causes that the border between the jaw line and the neck disappears what, in turn, distorts the face contour. All this makes a person with a double chin look much older than he or she in fact is. This leads to negative self‑esteem, makes people feel ashamed, and quite often is the main reason for avoiding interaction with other people. So, it is no wonder that persons with such defect seek methods offering its mitigation.Surgical methods give quick and satisfactory effects. However, they are fraught with high risk of complications, and as such they cause anxiety and ultimately discourage patients from making the decision. Luckily, significant improvements in the field of cosmetology and aesthetic surgery offer a wide range of possibilities to reduce a double chin in a manner which is completely non‑invasive, pain free, and does not require long lasting convalescence. In this case, very good results are achieved with the use of innovative technological solutions, such as HIFU and cryolipolysis. Aim. The main aim of this paper is to assess the efficiacy of cryolipolysis in the double chin reduction and the description of innovative instrumental methods allowing for a non‑invasive reduction of this defect.

MEMS Based Microneedles in the Field of Drug Delivery

The technology of MEMS has paved way for many biomedical applications where a lot of new devices at microscale have emerged making the diagnosis and treatment of diseases more easy and efficient. Microneedles are one such example which have been used in drug delivery, vaccines as well and also in the field of cosmetology for skin treatments for scars, pigmentation, acne etc. Apart from penetration into the skin, the microneedles are also used in treating eye with some insertion of bioactives and also in the treatment of cells. The success of microneedles design and its application would depend solely on how it gets infused into the skin, skin recovery post the microneedle removal, how the drug stays stable during manufacturing and the delivery as well. Microneedle can pierce into the skin only when required amount of pressure is put for the insertion. This paper reviews on inception and the evolution of MEMS based microneedles and a microneedle is designed to show through the simulation that the force of 1.29N is required to break through the human skin for the reliable delivery of the drug.

Cosmetology Field and It’s Significance for Education and Industry Sector

The purpose of this paper was to identify the trends in cosmetology field. This paper also provides the definition of cosmetology, cosmetics, and other pertinent terms. Gathered articles were identified using electronic databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct and Eric from year 2010 to 2019. These reviews found that training and earning professional licensing are crucial for cosmetologist to sustain in the beauty industry. Furthermore, these reviews bring researcher to relate that there is a lack of study in cosmetology education and teaching. Whereas, this cosmetology field is vast and growing nowadays. So that, the results of this study suggest that future study needs to be conducted to examine the educational intervention on effective learning and teaching strategies in cosmetology fields. This will provide more information required for the development of cosmetology curriculum to support students’ academic interests, knowledge and skills in cosmetology.

Доведено доцільність його запровадження в Україні, розроблено пропозиції щодо удосконалення вітчизняного законодавства, що регулює ринок косметологічних послуг.

The efficacy of fractional ablative carbon dioxide laser combined with other therapies in acne scars.

Fractional ablative carbon dioxide laser resurfacing is a frontline treatment for acne scars. It creates multiple microscopic treatment zones to accelerate the collagen formation and the healing process of reepithelialization, according the principle of fractional photothermolysis. At present, the fractional CO2 laser with a wavelength of 10,600 nm is commonly used in the field of cosmetology and clinical therapies for various skin diseases, and it can effectively improve skin regeneration and scar formation. To obtain satisfactory results for patients with scars, repetitive fractional laser therapy is always required; however, this treatment could easily lead to complications such as erythema, edema, infection, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In addition, different types of acne scars may have different responses to laser, further limiting its widespread use. In recent studies both home and abroad, a new pattern of fractional laser combined with other therapies to improve acne scar has been recommended to guarantee the safety and effective of treatment. This article reviews the recent pertinent literatures and summarized the progression of ablative fractional CO2 laser combined with other therapies on acne scar.
