The method of ferromagnetic resonance is used to study the residual stresses that appear in the cord of amorphous microwire in the process of its fabrication. It is shown that the stresses increase continuously from the center of the cord and attain maximum values on its surface. The phenomenon is caused by the interface of the cord and the glass sheath.
