TUPROD, an assistant Tool for the dUrable PROduct Design

The activity of durable product design satisfying the implicit and explicit customer requirements forebode the important part of the assessment and the necessity of having gradually a precise representation of the conception. This assessment in the company is represented by a set of analysis that has to be performed for the purpose of defining a durable product, which meets the customer expectations. In this paper, we have given a model for each field of assessment (engineering, ecology, logistics and risk management) for the creation of a company referential which is related to the durable product. Software architecture is proposed to focus the assessment and facilitate the cooperation between the intervening parts within the framework of the simultaneous conception.

A critical customer identification model for technology and service providers

The Technology and Service Providers (TSPs) play a critical role for innovative technology provision. Effective suggestions for potential customer identification are required for the TSPs. In order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of business promotion, this research proposes a data-mining model to explore the characteristics of critical customers for the TSPs. This paper utilises the project history to classify customers into critical and noncritical customer categories. Features of the critical customer category are extracted to serve as the basis for potential customer identification. The explicit customer characteristics discovered via the proposed model can provide the TSPs with systematic suggestions for business promotion.

Strategic planning of the master programme in health informatics at Aalborg University: targeting and updating the programme, to meet explicit customer needs

Education is essentially giving people new skills and qualifications to fulfil certain tasks. In planning and managing educational programmes it is crucial to know what skills and what qualifications are needed to carry out the tasks in question, not to mention the importance of knowing what tasks are relevant to carry out. The programme in health informatics at Aalborg University produces health informatics professionals. The students are developing skills in solving informatics problems in health care organisations. The programme has been running for 3 years now and to maintain the perception of the aim for the programme a number of activities have been launched. In the following, the programme will be presented, the activities to obtain information on how to keep the programme targeted and updated will be described and the changes that are going to be introduced will be outlined.
