The Relevance of Inquiry-Based Learning in Basic Reading Skills Exercises for Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

This study discussed inquiry-based learning activities in reading skills training students in Madrasah Ibtidayah and elementary schools in Indonesia. In learning to understand according to Islam, reading skills receive special attention from other skills such as speaking, listening, and writing skills. Get an understanding and application of strengthening reading learning that can be started from the elementary school level, and this theme will be discussed with the literature review method from national and international journal publications. A descriptive qualitative design study will be a method of analyzing a series of data. The review process involves a phenomenological approach, coding systems, and critical evaluation to produce data findings to answer our research themes that meet the findings' validity and reliability. Finally, we can conclude our findings, among others, that the ten publications and literature have confirmed that the application of inquiry-based learning approaches is very relevant to be applied in the learning environment of elementary madrasah schools. The importance of the research lies in preparing skillful exercises in the method of playing and knowingtheir effect on the anaerobic ability and team attacking of the junior basketball players.As for the research problem: the research problem centered on lack of focus and lack of interest in exercisesthat are built according to the physiological systems that overlap with work (anaerobic) and that would bringabout functional changes that are reflected in the development of the physical, skill and planning aspect inorder to make the player able to bear physical and functional burdens similar to the burdens of competition.The objective of the research was to: Prepare skillful exercises by playing method of basketball, as wellas to identify the effect of skill training by playing method to development the anaerobic ability and teamattacking for young basketball players, and the imposition of the research is: There is an effect of skillfultraining by playing method on anaerobic ability and team attacking for young basketball players.As for the research methodology and its field procedures: the researchers used the experimental method tosolve the research problem, while the research community was identified with the emerging players of AlHillah Basketball Club, and they were distributed into two groups (experimental and control) by a simplerandom method (draw).While the most important conclusions were: that skill exercises by playing method helped to develop(anaerobic ability), and also that skillful exercises by playing method contributed greatly to the developmentof the team attacking of basketball for the young players.As for the most important recommendations, they were: The researchers recommend paying attention tothe use of skillful exercises by playing method according to scientific training bases to raise the efficiencyof anaerobic basketball players during matches and competitions, the researchers recommend attention topreparing and organizing skill exercises by playing method when training the team attacking of basketballin its various types and for all groups.

LEGAL EDUCATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY AND THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Objectives: We sought to study the main reflexes of the digital economy that influence legal education, and some of the operational suggestions that accompany criticisms of that process. To this end, some of the main suggestions made by experts in law and education to transform legal education in the face of the technological ubiquity scenario were observed. In a second moment, the transformations that higher education has been undergoing with the introduction of AI in the market and in universities were specifically analyzed. Finally, both the reflexes of AI in legal education and suggestions related to transformations that legal education must undergo were studied. Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive procedure method was used, with a qualitative and technical approach of bibliographic-documentary research, in this exploratory and interdisciplinary research. Results: It was identified that legal education will have to move away from a retrospective epistemological stance, and evolve towards a prospective and projective stance, incorporating knowledge from technological areas and quantitative methodologies, without neglecting the exercise of traditional normative skills, communicative and narrative values that are highly evaluated by law professionals, thus emphasizing the need to foster student creativity. It is also concluded that higher education courses should incorporate coding in their curricula, in parallel with encouraging students' creativity and their communicative skills — however, a regulation should be developed in parallel, which must take into account the ethical risks of the use of AI in teaching. Finally, it is clear that the legal professions are not yet under a very pressing possibility of substitution by AI, but universities must make students aware that there are specific tasks in the legal professions that may be replaced by AI tools in order to advise them to focus on tasks that cannot be replaced by machines.

Quality of Life Assessment after Motor Exercises Activation in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents

The ultimate aim of this survey was to evaluate and determine the left hand surgical dexterity among oral and maxillofacial surgery residents before and after of motor skill exercises This survey was conducted on the residents of oral and maxillofacial surgeons to evaluate the knowledge of the residents on Ambidexterity and left hand surgical dexterity before and after motor skill exercises. The attitudes of the trainers towards non-dominant left hand dexterity were analysed. This survey was conducted on 32 oral and maxillofacial surgeons. A questionnaire consisting of 15 questions was circulated among the residents. They were given some simple tasks to perform. Evaluation of the questionnaire was done. After comparing the evaluations of pre- and post-motor skill tasks, it was observed that the residents were able to perform the tasks more precisely with less stimulated time. This study improved the surgical ability of the residents of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery by enhancing their skills, reducing time and their attitude towards surgery. This is one kind of a study to enhance the surgical skill by activation of daily motor activities.

Trend Improving Soccer Professional Referees Performance in West Java Using Psychological Skill Training and Physical Fitness

The referee has an important role in football matches. The referee determines the level of fairness in the match so they must be mentally and physically fit. The purpose of this study was to examine the application of psychological skills training and the level of physical fitness to the performance of the referee. Psychological skill exercises used are relaxation, imagery, and relaxation-imagery combination that exist in conditions of high and low physical fitness. This research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of 48 people who were taken using purposive sampling based on the criteria that the referee had a provincial level referee license (Code C2) and has led a provincial level competition. Data collection techniques are through pre-test, post-test and treatment during the study. The data analysis technique used two-way ANOVA analysis followed by the Tukey test. The findings showed that psychological skill training, both relaxation, imagery, or a combination of imagery-relaxation and physical fitness, had a positive effect on the performance of the referee in leading the match. These results have implications for the concept of psychological training for football referees in West Java, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, who had limited access to training in the field. However, this psychological skill training makes it easier to train the referee mentally.

Development of Personal Income Tax Achievement Using Skill Exercises within the Classroom in the Subject of Tax Law of Students in the Bachelor of Laws Program, School of Law and Politics, Suan Dusit University

Objective of this research is as follows: 1) To study the effectiveness of the personal income tax skill exercise 2) to develop personal income tax achievement. Tax Law Course Of students in the Bachelor of Laws Program School of Law and Politics Suan Dusit University 3) To compare the learning achievement between the pre- and post-study programs of the Bachelor of Laws students who were taught using an in-class skill training exercise. The sample group is the 4th year students of the Bachelor of Laws in studying A1 34 people enrolled in the tax law course Semester 1, academic year 2019, which tools used in this research It is a skill practice exercise within the classroom. The researcher will use statistics, percentage (Percentage), Mean (Mean), Standard Deviation and T-test. 1. The efficiency of the personal income tax skill training form (E1)/(E2) was 56.32 / 86.76 2. The effectiveness of the personal income tax calculation was 0.69, indicating that the students' knowledge increased by 69% from the States this gives students the skills to calculate personal income tax for better efficiency. 3. Academic achievement before and after study of students who study with the skill training form on the calculation of personal income tax There was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level of skill training, thus helping students develop their personal income tax education. Accounting curricula: Soft skills at the expense of technical competency or a happy merger of the two?

This study explores whether soft skills can be developed through students’ participation in collaborative learning projects in entry level accounting courses without sacrificing time allotted to the coverage of technical content. Results indicate that after emphasizing technical competencies throughout the semester, capstone group projects involving collaboration require the exercise of soft skills. Analysis of students’ written peer and self-evaluations found instances of soft skills development indicating that, during the project, students display soft skills critical for success in the accounting profession. A model is proposed depicting the observed outcomes of this collaborative learning activity.

Neuromodulation of the cerebellum rescues movement in a mouse model of ataxia

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) relieves motor dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease, and other movement disorders. Here, we demonstrate the potential benefits of DBS in a model of ataxia by targeting the cerebellum, a major motor center in the brain. We use the Car8 mouse model of hereditary ataxia to test the potential of using cerebellar nuclei DBS plus physical activity to restore movement. While low-frequency cerebellar DBS alone improves Car8 mobility and muscle function, adding skilled exercise to the treatment regimen additionally rescues limb coordination and stepping. Importantly, the gains persist in the absence of further stimulation. Because DBS promotes the most dramatic improvements in mice with early-stage ataxia, we postulated that cerebellar circuit function affects stimulation efficacy. Indeed, genetically eliminating Purkinje cell neurotransmission blocked the ability of DBS to reduce ataxia. These findings may be valuable in devising future DBS strategies.

CALCULATED CALORIES FOR TRAINING AND THEIR EFFECT ON DEVELOPING SOME PHYSICAL AND BIOMECHANICAL ABILITIES AND ACHIEVING 400-METER RUN FOR YOUTH

The research problem arose through researchers' follow-up of training curricula for athletes in athletics in general and 400-meter runners in particular. Most training curricula adopt physical and skill exercises without paying attention to the need for energy appropriate for the effort exerted during the race or training. The Pro Health program - Commerce with Compassion is used in this research to calculate the calories spent during training to find out what is burned during training. The experimental research method is used in this research. The research sample was selected from young 400-meter joggers (9 runners). The arithmetic mean for age is (19.64), a standard deviation is (± 1.5), with an arithmetic mean for training age which is (6.6) with a standard deviation (± 1.65), an arithmetic mean for mass (71) with a standard deviation (± 2.54), an arithmetic mean for height (172) cm, and a standard deviation (± 3.5). The results showed that the calories consumed during training changed during training. The differences were statistically in favor of the post-test. The differences energy variable remaining in the body after performing the effort, whether in calories or kilojoules, were not significant. This means that the amounts of energy remained the same, whether in the pre or post-test. The cost of energy per 1 kg of the body, appeared in the indicator, indicated that the differences are not significant between what the body consumes during physical activity and the remaining calories in the body for both tests. It also showed that there is an imbalance between calories and their output in kilo joules that the sample members take from food, and the calories they burn to make physical effort.

MODERN APPROACHES TO TEACHING SIGHT SINGING AND EAR TRAINING

Sight singing and ear training are difficult subjects to teach. Over the past decade, however, many new technological tools were developed that support educational endeavors. Several of those tools, SmartMusic, SingSnap, EarTrainer (MusicDictation.app), and YouTube, were used at the beginning college-level aural skills courses to enhance sight singing and ear training instruction, especially in the context of enhancing audiation skills. This article summarizes their use within aural skills courses and present experimental and anecdotal evidence of increased sight singing and ear training skills. More specifically, experimental (test) data as well as anecdotal (essay) evidence showed that (1) students were much higher motivated to complete exercises compared to ‘traditional’ aural skills exercises, (2) in a shorter period of time, students performed much better than in ‘traditional’ exercises of at least the same difficulty, (3) the students’ audiation abilities increased much more as a result of the exercises, compared to ‘traditional’ exercises, and (4) students showed a greater increase in solfege proficiency, compared to ‘traditional’ exercises. The teaching approaches we have discussed also led to a greater independence from in-person instruction.

The reason for students' poor ability to read is the monotony of teacher teaching methods and the lack of tools used to make children more enthusiastic in learning, especially in the skill of reading. The researcher was interested in conducting research on the effect of smart wheel methods on students ’ability to answer skill exercises. The results of the study show that the experimental class has a mean value in the pre-test 63,43 and the prescriptive class 64.91. The post-test of the pilot class 78.87 and the control class has 75,35. The basis for taking the hypothesis test in this paper is to use an independent t-sample test: if the value of r is a number greater than the r table, Ha is accepted and rejected. Similarly, if the significance value is 2-tailed> of 0.05. The formula for testing the hypothesis in this study is independent samples t-test and the results show that r value (2,460) <2,015. Whereas the significance value is 0.05 <0.018. Therefore, it can be concluded that the smart wheel methods are influenced by the students' ability to answer the seventh grade reading skills exercises in the Curlico Middle School in the 2019/2020 year of study.

Strength training and gross-motor skill exercise as interventions to improve postural control, dynamic functional balance and strength in older individuals.

Loss of balance control is commonly experienced by older individuals. Despite the large amount of research on the effects of exercise on balance the optimal exercise regime is yet to be identified. Most studies have concentrated on strength training due to associations between muscle weakness, balance disfunction and fall risk. The effects of gross-motor skill exercise for balance and postural control have been less investigated. The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of strength training (STT) and gross-motor skill exercise (GMT) on static postural control, dynamic functional balance and strength in healthy older individuals. Thirty-eight individuals (65-85 years) participated to GMT or STT for 12 weeks, twice weekly. They were tested pre- and post-training for postural control (Romberg and Tandem positions on a force platform), dynamic functional balance (maximal walking speed in balance-challenging conditions), maximal isometric handgrip strength, maximal knee flexor and extensor strength. Improvements were observed in static postural balance (tandem position, P<0.05, -1.07 mm/s), walking speed (hurdles P<0.01, +0.08 m/s; narrow path P<0.05, +0.07 m/s; picking up P<0.01, +0.07 m/s) knee extensor strength (P<0.001, +10.9 Nm); knee flexor strength improved significantly in the SST group only (P<0.001, +13.9 Nm). There was no correlation between changes in strength and balance. Static postural balance and dynamic functional balance in healthy elderly may be improved through exercise targeting either muscular strength or coordination, agility and mobility. The present study helps fill the gap in research on gross-motor skill exercise and proposes a suitable exercise alternative to strength for managing static and dynamic balance decline.

A Preliminary Study: Why Develop High Order Thinking Skills Worksheets Based on the 3N

This qualitative research is a preliminary study of a 4-D model development research that aims to describe the basic problems, student characteristics, the formulation of learning outcomes, and specific learning goals as the initial stage of developing a high order thinking skills (HOTS) exercise bank based on 3N in Algebra. Research subjects at the analysis stage of student characteristics are all students taking Algebra courses in Mathematics Education Department Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa for the 2019/2020 academic year. Data were collected using a literature study, observation, documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively with the following steps: (1) preparing the data, (2) data coding, (3) searching for findings, (4) constructing the framework, and interpreting the data. The results of this study are: (1) Algebra learning centered on lecturers and students has difficulty solving non-routine problems, (2) there are only 1.59% of students who implemented to check the correctness of solutions in solving HOTS problems, (3) CPMK Algebra, and (4) formulation of specific learning goals. Examining the effect of school administrators’ leadership skills on employees’ work engagement

The study wanted to determine the correlation between the exercise of leadership skills of administrators of Divine Word Colleges in the Ilocos Region and the work engagement of employees. To support the study, related literature was reviewed to establish the theoretical foundation of the study. The study used a descriptive assessment and correlational research design. To gather the data, the validated questionnaires were used and weighted mean and Pearson r or Product-Moment Correlation were used to interpret the data. Weighted mean was used to determine the level of leadership skills of administrators and Pearson r was used to determine the correlation between leadership skill and work engagement of employees. The study found that there is a correlation between leadership skill and work engagement of employees and therefore the hypothesis of the study is accepted

The Return of the Military Memoir: The Bundeswehr Deployment to Afghanistan and the Re-Emergence of a Literary Form

This article examines the re-emergence of the military memoir in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) since the deployment of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of the FRG, to Afghanistan as part of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in 2001. The resurgence of a literary form associated in the 1950s with the apologetics of officers of the Wehrmacht, Hitler’s army, and the construction of a usable Second World War past is striking. The article locates this phenomenon in a gap that has been growing since the mid-2000s between official claims about the deployment and soldiers’ perceptions of the reality on the ground. It also reads memoirs by Achim Wohlgethan, Heike Groos, Andreas Timmermann-Levanas and Robert Sedlatzek-Muller as examples of the soldiers’ dominant narratives – of the exercise of military skills and of trauma – to emerge from ISAF. These recent memoirs resemble more closely the texts by soldiers from other NATO forces and they offer a partial normalisation of a form with a problematic history in the FRG. In the face of ongoing suspicion on the part of German scholars, the article draws on a tradition of English-language scholarship to argue also for a normalisation of critical approach. What is needed is a method able to relate the texts to international scholarship about the form while remaining sensitive to the distinctive way in which, against the background of the form’s problematic history in Germany, they embody key values of the founding ideal of Bundeswehr of the soldier as a ‘Citizen in Uniform’. Relationships Between Learned Self-Regulatory Skills and Changes in Weight-Loss Behaviors: Mediation by Barriers Self-Efficacy

This study aimed to assess changes in learned self-regulatory skills and barriers self-efficacy associated with theory-based behavioral weight-loss treatments with different curricular emphases, and to evaluate mechanisms of short- and long-term changes in exercise and eating behaviors via self-regulatory skills usage to inform theory and improve lagging intervention effects. Women with obesity volunteered and were randomly allocated into 1-year community-based behavioral weight-loss treatments with either a high ( n = 37) or moderate ( n = 41) focus on building self-regulatory skills to overcome lifestyle barriers. They were periodically assessed on measures of exercise- and eating-related self-regulatory skill usage, exercise- and eating-related barriers self-efficacy, exercise outputs, fruit/vegetable intake, and body composition. Reductions in weight and waist circumference, increases in exercise- and eating-related self-regulation and barriers self-efficacy, and increases in exercise and fruit/vegetable intake were each significant overall, and significantly greater in the group with a high self-regulatory skills-building focus. Change in barriers self-efficacy significantly mediated relationships between self-regulation change and changes in exercise outputs and fruit/vegetable intake from both baseline–Month 6 and baseline–Month 12. Change in barriers self-efficacy also significantly mediated relationships between change in self-regulation for eating from baseline–Month 3 and long-term changes in self-regulation for eating. Findings supported tenets of social cognitive, self-efficacy, and self-regulation theories: and indicated the importance of emphasizing, and facilitating a high amount of instruction and rehearsal time for self-regulatory skills development within behavioral weight-loss treatments. The ability to nurture self-efficacy through overcoming lifestyle barriers was also indicated.
