The Impact of Urban Democracy as a Policy in Evolution and Developing the Master Plan of the City

The research aims to build a comprehensive cognitive framework about the policy of urban democracy in developing the master plan of the existing city and the interconnection of its spaces with each other spatially. Previous literature indicated that the evolutionary development of master plan is obtained through a gradual approach led by citizens and local authorities. The research classified the levels of democracy depending on the method of community participation into two styles: formal and intellectual. The hypothesis of the research is that, the idea of urban democracy in the master plans of city centers depends on the creation of the integrating the design or legislative strategies of urban democracy. And presenting Arab and international experiences to reach a comprehensive theoretical framework for the politics of democracy in developing the master plan for the purpose of enhancing cohesion, feeling, interaction, prosperity and belonging to the place. The research found a number of different indicators for the development of the master plan, including activating the will of the user in the integration and development of the city and identifying the elements of the city's structuring, which is represented by the interaction and democratic response in the processes of development and transformation or the expression of the distinct user personality for every place and time.

Ionization Air Purifying Lattice Prototype

Environmental pollution caused by human activities, the harmful mixture of gases (CO, CO2, NO2, SO2, PM), resulting from industrial production processes and vehicular traffic is a global environmental health problem in urban and rural areas; it affects vulnerable groups, children and older adults, affecting respiratory, cardiovascular and cancerous diseases. In Ecuador, in the city of Cuenca, among the main sources of contamination is the vehicle fleet in high-traffic areas and avenues; in addition to the industrial zone, that coexists with the city within the urban area in the northwest zone, which generates contamination to properties located around these strips. This paper presents the development of a purifying element based on the “evolutionary development” model. It begins by analyzing and studying concepts of lattices, ionization, and air purification, among others; subsequently, existing air purification systems are investigated in detail and a prototype of an ionizing lattice is generated, whose function is to filter polluted air when installed as an aesthetic part in buildings. Finally, the purification performance of gases and particles typical of the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) was tested by means of air quality stations. By means of a type of correlational applied research, the similarity between external and internal gases and particulate matter was verified, obtaining, as a result, the effective reduction of the same; decreasing by 4.15% of CO2, 30% of CO and 57% of particulate matter. With this analysis, it is concluded that the prototype of the ionization air purifying lattice can be efficient with some of the gases against particulate pollution in domestic interiors, positively influencing the health of the inhabitants of a building.

Burst kinetics and CNNM binding are evolutionarily conserved properties of phosphatases of regenerating liver

Phosphatases of regenerating liver (PRL or PTP4A) are a family of enigmatic protein phosphatases implicated in cell growth and metabolism. Despite their relevance in metastatic cancer, much remains unknown about the PRL family. They act as pseudo-phosphatases to regulate the CNNM family of magnesium transporters yet also have enzymatic activity on unknown substrates. In mammals, PRLs are mostly found trapped in an intermediate catalytic state that regulates their pseudo-phosphatase activity. Phosphocysteine, which is formed as an intermediate in the phosphatase catalytic cycle, is inefficiently hydrolyzed leading to burst enzyme kinetics and turnover numbers of less than one per hour. In flies, PRLs have recently been shown to have neuroprotective and neurodevelopmental roles raising the question whether they act as phosphatases, pseudo-phosphatases, or both. Here, we characterize the evolutionary development of PRLs and ask whether their unique structural and functional properties are conserved. We purified recombinant PRL proteins from fifteen phylogenetically diverse organisms and characterized their catalytic activities and ability to bind CNNM proteins. We observed PRLs from humans to amoebae form a stable phosphocysteine intermediate and exhibit burst kinetics. Isothermal titration calorimetry experiments confirmed that the PRL-CNNM interaction is broadly conserved with nanomolar affinity in vertebrates. Lastly, we determined the crystal structure of the Drosophila melanogaster PRL-CNNM complex and identified mutants that specifically impair either phosphatase activity or CNNM binding. Our results reveal that the unique properties of PRLs are conserved throughout the animal kingdom and open the door to using model organisms to dissect PRL function in cell signaling.

Developmental mechanisms underlying the evolution of human cortical circuits.

The brain of modern humans has evolved remarkable computational abilities that enable higher cognitive functions. These capacities are tightly linked to an increase in the size and connectivity of the cerebral cortex, which is thought to have resulted from evolutionary changes in the mechanisms of cortical development. Convergent progress in evolutionary genomics, developmental biology and neuroscience has recently enabled the identification of genomic changes that act as human-specific modifiers of cortical development. These modifiers influence most aspects of corticogenesis, from the timing and complexity of cortical neurogenesis to synaptogenesis and the assembly of cortical circuits. Mutations of human-specific genetic modifiers of corticogenesis have started to be linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, providing evidence for their physiological relevance and suggesting potential relationships between the evolution of the human brain and its sensitivity to specific diseases.

Collaborative AI-Enabled Intelligent Partial Service Provisioning in Green Industrial Fog Networks

With the evolutionary development of the latency-sensitive industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) applications, delay restriction becomes a critical challenge, which can be resolved by distributing IIoT applications on nearby fog devices. Besides that, efficient service provisioning and energy optimization are confronting serious challenges with the ongoing expansion of large-scale IIoT applications. However, due to insufficient resource availability, a single fog device cannot execute large-scale applications completely. In such a scenario, a partial service provisioning strategy provides a promising outcome to enable the services on multiple fog devices or collaboration with cloud servers. By motivating this scenario, in this article, we introduce a new deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-enabled partial service provisioning strategy in the green industrial fog networks. With this strategy, multiple fog devices share the excessive workload of an application among themselves. To reflect this, a task partitioning policy is introduced to partition the requested applications into a set of independent or interdependent tasks. Furthermore, we develop an intelligent partial service provisioning strategy to utilize maximum fog resources in the network. The experimental results express the significance of the proposed strategy over the traditional baseline algorithms in terms of energy consumption and latency up to 25% and 16%, respectively.

Structural Characteristics and Evolutionary Drivers of Global Virtual Water Trade Networks: A Stochastic Actor-Oriented Model for 2000-2015.

The globalization of trade has caused tremendous pressure on water resources globally, and a virtual water trade provides a new perspective on global freshwater sharing and water sustainability. No study has yet explored the structural characteristics and drivers of the evolution of global virtual water trade networks from a network structure evolution perspective. This paper aims to fill this critical gap by developing a research framework to explore how endogenous network structures and external factors have influenced the evolution of virtual water trade networks. We constructed virtual water trade networks for 62 countries worldwide from 2000 to 2015 and used an innovative combination of multi-regional input-output data and stochastic actor-oriented models for analytical purposes. Our results support the theoretical hypothesis of ecologically unequal exchange and trade drivers, arguing that virtual water flows from less developed countries to developed countries under global free trade and that unequal trade patterns lead to excessive consumption of virtual water in less developed countries. The results partially support the theoretical content of water endowment and traditional gravity models, finding that trade networks are expanding to farther and larger markets, confirming that national water scarcity levels do not impact the evolution of virtual water trade networks. Finally, we point out that meritocratic links, path dependence, reciprocity, and transmissive links have extreme explanatory power for the evolutionary development of virtual water networks.

A Method of Representing Cyclic Program Structures in Artificial Chemistry Model

The need for automation of software development processes makes it necessary to search for forms of program representation that can undergo automatic transformations without violating the integrity and semantic significance of the results of such transformations. Previously, we have proposed a notation for programs that permits the use of automatic transformation methods, namely methods of evolutionary development used, in particular, in genetic pro­gramming. But we have considered only linear and tree-like structures. In this article, we expand the list of available types of structures by adding cyclic structures, as well as complex structural compositions obtained by combining structures of simpler types. We also propose a rule excluding possible anomalies with cyclic structures representation. In general, the proposed methods are based on the concept of artificial chemistry, where programs are considered as analogues of molecules, and program transformations are considered as analogs of reactions. We illustrate the application of proposed notation using examples of the Kekule formula and the cyclic program, automatically obtained in our previous studies. The results obtained demonstrate that the proposed notation and methods make it possible to compose formulas representing computational structures of various and even mixed types.

A Study on Plant Structure

This paper propose image processing algorithms to recognize The Plant structure in Plant Kingdom. Anatomy is one of the oldest disciplines of plant science, and there is a huge amount of accumulated knowledge. At the same time, anatomy is highly important as a linking medium between several key branches of modern plant science. Detailed anatomical studies, these days using X-ray microtomography, allow much more detailed understanding of plant fossils and thus facilitate the accumulation of greatly extended non-molecular data sets. The use of anatomy is one of most efficient ways of increasing the number of characters in data sets employed to link fossil and extant plants. This link is essential for achieving the ambitious goal of acquiring a holistic knowledge of plant evolution combining the direct, but fragmentary evidence from the fossil record and the indirect, though highly informative data of molecular phylogenetics and phylogenomics. Anatomy is one of key tools of evo-devo research. Indeed, analyses of gene expression patterns are performed using anatomical techniques. More importantly, developmental biology of plants explores functioning of plant meristems and aspects of cell and tissue differentiation, the topics that have a long history of research in the framework of plant anatomy. Anatomy provides detailed information of the developmental processes in extant and extinct plants. Obviously, the detailed knowledge assembled through centuries of anatomical research has great perspectives of use in evolutionary developmental biology. Many theories developed in plant anatomy can be tested using molecular tools (e.g. Povilus et al., 2020), but it is important to pose the questions. Anatomy has many implications for plant physiology and ecology and provides an excellent tool for investigating historical aspects of these disciplines, including those related to climate change.

Leveraging big data to uncover the eco-evolutionary factors shaping behavioural development.

Mapping the eco-evolutionary factors shaping the development of animals' behavioural phenotypes remains a great challenge. Recent advances in 'big behavioural data' research-the high-resolution tracking of individuals and the harnessing of that data with powerful analytical tools-have vastly improved our ability to measure and model developing behavioural phenotypes. Applied to the study of behavioural ontogeny, the unfolding of whole behavioural repertoires can be mapped in unprecedented detail with relative ease. This overcomes long-standing experimental bottlenecks and heralds a surge of studies that more finely define and explore behavioural-experiential trajectories across development. In this review, we first provide a brief guide to state-of-the-art approaches that allow the collection and analysis of high-resolution behavioural data across development. We then outline how such approaches can be used to address key issues regarding the ecological and evolutionary factors shaping behavioural development: developmental feedbacks between behaviour and underlying states, early life effects and behavioural transitions, and information integration across development.

International School Sports Development Intelligence And Visual Analysis In The Last Decade ——Based On a Bibliometric Perspective

School physical education development in China has always played an important role in promoting students' physical and mental development, especially in recent years with the continuous improvement of China's physical education science system and more ambitious physical education and health development goals, school physical education development in China will continue to be studied in depth. This study is based on the current research status of international school sports development, by sorting out the developmental evolution of international high-quality research, research hotspots and frontiers; in order to contribute to the theoretical basis of domestic research and provide reference to the research of related scholars. The study shows that the research system of international school physical education is relatively fixed and perfect, and the research frontiers are highly relevant to the research hotspots, mainly including: (1) the optimization of the teaching system model of school physical education curriculum; (2) the functional utility of school physical education activities to promote the physical and mental development of children and adolescents; (3) the assessment content of school physical education teaching. Finally, suggestions are made for specific directions that domestic scholars can study in the future.

Thermal Phenomena in Erythrocytes of the Black Sea Thornback Ray (Raja clavata L.) and Black Scorpionfish (Scorpaena porcus L.) In Vitro

An evolutionary development of the rheological characteristics of blood in the capillary blood flow is one of indicator of fishes’ adaptation for the changing temperature conditions. Our earlier studies showed that large, nucleated erythrocytes of the Black Sea thornback ray (Raja clavata L.) and scorpionfish (Scorpaena porcus L.) had high ecto-ATPase activity. This activity varied from 3.0 to 3.9 and 6.0 to 10.0 nmol Fn/min/µL RBC in rays and scorpionfish, respectively. The use of thermal energy of ATP in the hydrolysis process made by ecto-ATPases in fish erythrocytes provided a heating of the plasma cells’ membrane and the near-wall plasma layer with an aim to improve the rheological characteristics of blood in the capillary blood flow. To confirm the proposed assumption, we studied thermal phenomena in erythrocytes suspensions of fishes by continuous recording of temperature changes in the experimental cell with fishes’ erythrocytes suspension with the addition of ATP (1 mg/mL) in vitro. A higher “thermal” activity of scorpionfish erythrocytes was established in comparison with erythrocytes of the thornback ray, which had the multiplicity of activity of ecto-ATPase in the plasma membranes of erythrocytes of the studied fishes. The presence of heat-producing activity of suspensions of erythrocytes of thornback ray and scorpionfish is evidence of the possible use of thermal energy of ATP hydrolysis by fish erythrocytes, both to maintain the functional state of the plasma membrane of red blood cells and to improve the rheological characteristics of blood in the capillary section of blood flow.

Animal host range of mpox virus.

Mpox is caused by the mpox virus, which belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus and Poxviridae family. Animal hosts, such as African rodents, mice, prairie dogs, and non-human primates, play important roles in the development and transmission of outbreaks. Laboratory animal infection experiments have demonstrated that some animals are susceptible to mpox virus. This review summarizes the current progress on the animal hosts for mpox virus. The surveillance of mpox virus in animal hosts will provide important insights into virus tracing, analysis of mutation evolutionary patterns, transmission mechanisms, and development of control measures.

Scaffolding individuality: coordination, cooperation, collaboration and community.

Processes of evolutionary transition (ET), becoming part of a new reproducing collective while losing the capacity of independent reproduction, seem difficult to track without circularity, since their features-units of selection, individuality, inheritance at multiple levels (MLS1, MLS2)-are products of one process. We describe ET in a non-circular way, noting kinds of interactions among community members necessary for such major transitions that are not instances of those same interactions within community members. Reproducing 'systems' tend to hybridize with environmental components, employing eco-devo scaffolding interactions forming communities. Communities are developmentally scaffolded systems of diverse members engaged in heterogeneous interactions. They may become individuals in their own right with the potential to evolve an inheritance system at the emergent community level. We argue for the explanatory benefits of treating 'individuality' as a special case of 'collectivity'. We characterize an idealized sequence of collective processes-coordination, cooperation and collaboration (3Cs)-which scaffolds transitions to new forms of collective individuality: communities. Hominid evolution and learning draw attention to developmental interactions driving both dimensions of ET: new 'levels of individuality' and inherited 'information systems'. Here, we outline a theoretical perspective that we suggest applies across a wide range of cases and scenarios. From China to fostering rooting innovation in Nanyang: three generations of Malaysian Chinese family businesses in food manufacturing

The purpose of this study is to explore how Chinese family businesses (CFBs) in Malaysia can last three generations through the development of a tacit knowledge innovation by adapting to local markets from traditional food production (Southern China) to fostering rooting innovations in Nanyang (Southeast Asia-Malaysia). The author created this study by using stage model theory of development to compare the evolutionary development of the founding generation to the next generation in three public listed CFBs of food production in Malaysia. The research on business history assessments were obtained from Malaysia’s companies commission house (CCM), annual reports and in-depth interviews. This process is further aided by effectively utilizing tacit knowledge and by introducing new evolutionary CFBs model in food production, a research method has not employed in Malaysia. The findings of this study show that the role of tacit knowledge and innovation is a dynamic process including knowledge creation, evolution, transfer and application, and is also a learning process to sustain the CFBs of food production in Malaysia. These can have an imperceptible influence on and lead to improvements in CFB’s thinking structure, creating added value, self-realization and a competitive advantage in the food industry.

Do Wages Reflect Growth Productivity – Comparing the European East and West?

ABSTRACT The research determines the gap (Great Decoupling) between labour productivity and workers’ compensation in the two blocks of EU countries (Western versus Eastern). The division of countries into two groups provides a basis further to determine whether the previous socio-economic and political evolutionary development of these countries blocks still has a significant impact on the functional distribution of national income, on the extent to which labour productivity growth is transmitted to workers. The results are heterogeneous. In the sample of highly developed Western EU countries where higher levels of labour productivity, as well as high levels of technological development, lead to an increase in labour productivity to be followed by a lower increase in workers’ compensation. On the sample of Eastern EU countries, results indicate different relationships and the strength of causality between productivity and labour compensation. Central-East EU countries had a more positive relationship between real workers’ compensation and labour productivity, compared to the Southeast Europe (Balkan) countries where an increase in workers’ compensation causes a reduction in labour productivity. The results also offer a solid basis for understanding wage/income/productivity relationships d for creating policies for a more efficient distribution of national income.

Marine animal evolutionary developmental biology-Advances through technology development.

Evolutionary developmental biology, the interdisciplinary effort of illuminating the conserved similarities and differences during animal development across all phylogenetic clades, has gained renewed interest in the past decades. As technology (immunohistochemistry, next-generation sequencing, advanced imaging, and computational resources) has advanced, so has our ability of resolving fundamental hypotheses and overcoming the genotype-phenotype gap. This rapid progress, however, has also exposed gaps in the collective knowledge around the choice and representation of model organisms. It has become clear that evo-devo requires a comparative, large-scale approach including marine invertebrates to resolve some of the most urgent questions about the phylogenetic positioning and character traits of the last common ancestors. Many invertebrates at the base of the tree of life inhabit marine environments and have been used for some years due to their accessibility, husbandry, and morphology. Here, we briefly review the major concepts of evolutionary developmental biology and discuss the suitability of established model organisms to address current research questions, before focussing on the importance, application, and state-of-the-art of marine evo-devo. We highlight novel technical advances that progress evo-devo as a whole.

Development and research trends of a polypropylene material in electrical engineering: A bibliometric mapping analysis and systematical review

In order to explore the development and research trends of polypropylene (PP) in electrical engineering, the research literature is quantitatively analyzed using a bibliometric method with the VOSviewer and CiteSpace software. First, the research literature about PP material in electrical engineering applications is collected, from 1990 to 2022. Then, by analyzing the keyword co-occurrence, keyword co-occurrence timezone, author cooperation network, and national cooperation network, the research hotspots of the PP field and its time evolutionary path and development direction are introduced. It is found that the nano-modification, mechanical, and electrical properties are the most popular research hotspots in this field. Most research studies were completed by few specific researchers. A stable cooperative group has not been formed in this field yet, indicating the necessity of further integration. Most articles about PP were published in dielectric and material journals. It is suggested that more open access journals are required to popularize the existing research results among the public and to promote the development of PP. Although the most published country is China, the United States publishes the most cited papers on average.

EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE AND ITS DIALECTS

The article is devoted to the evolutionary development of the German language and its dialects (Bavarian and Swabian — Alemannic). The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that, despite the dominance of the Standardsprache on the territory of modern Germany, local dialects are also sufficiently widespread in it, which have recently gained more and more prestige, especially among young people. The purpose of this study is to analyze the linguistic features of southern German dialects (Bavarian and Swabian — Alemannic) and to identify their genetic links with the modern German language — Standarddeutsch / Standardsprache. Texts (artistic and newspaper) in the specified dialects and identical in Standarddeutsch, dialect maps (atlases) of the German language, ancient and modern dictionaries served as research material. The work uses descriptive and comparative-historical methods. The object of research is German southern dialects (Bavarian and Swabian — Alemannic). The subject of the study is the linguistic characteristics of southern German dialects and their connection with the modern German language. Using the example of the development of German dialects (Bavarian and Swabian-Alemannic) and their interaction with Standarddeutsch, it can be argued that the German language, based on the laws of linguistic synergy, is a complex open information system that is constantly developing, but at the same time preserves information about its former states, and the combination of past and present knowledge provides an opportunity to identify the future development prospects of the system. The results of the study make it possible to predict further changes in the modern German language at all its levels (phonetic, lexical, grammatical), taking into account various dialectological features that are introduced into the German language system. The obtained data on the evolutionary development of the German language and its dialects (Bavarian and Swabian — Alemannic) is of certain importance for the study and teaching of «History of the German Language», «Introduction to Germanic Philology», dialectology, as well as a practical course of the German language.

The implementation of reparations in the Inter-American human rights system

Reparations as a consequence of the harm suffered by individuals is a general principle of law, recognized by States as a mechanism to compensate for the harm caused by others. In the regional systems for the protection of human rights, the courts have made important advances throughout their operation in generating progressive interpretations of the principle of reparations as a consequence of human rights violations by States. In the inter-American human rights system, the role of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights has had an important evolutionary development on the interpretations of how States should repair violations committed in their territories. 
 As has already been indicated in the international arena as well as by national courts, reparation for the harm caused is not simply the payment of sums of money. This would be the simplest form that States would have for having caused human rights violations or even crimes against humanity. For this reason, the Inter-American Court, since its first case, has been indicating to the States that economic reparation is only one part of the State's obligation to make reparations. The most important judgments that the regional Court has indicated in its 40 years are marked by the so-called “non-pecuniary reparations”. In other words, reparations that seek to ensure that the events that occurred do not happen again, that the States commit to train their officials in human rights and respect for persons, build schools, hospitals, and roads to improve the living conditions of the victims, etc. 
 For further more about this evolution, this paper develops the main jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court on reparations and how international law has already set important standards to be applied by States.
