Effects of evidence-based nursing on surgical site wound infection in patients undergoing acute appendicitis surgery: A meta-analysis.

This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the effects of evidence-based nursing (EBN) intervention on wound infection and postoperative complications in patients after appendectomy for acute appendicitis (AA), with the expectation of providing a theoretical basis for postoperative care in AA. Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) on the postoperative application of EBN in patients with AA were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, China Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang and China National Knowledge Infrastructure from the inception of databases to October 2023. Two authors screened and evaluated the literature based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and data were extracted from the final included literature. Stata software (version 17.0) was employed for data analysis. In total, 29 RCTs involving 2848 patients with AA were included, with 1424 in the EBN group and 1424 in the conventional care group. The analyses revealed that patients with AA who experienced EBN were significantly less likely to develop postoperative wound infections (odds ratio [OR] = 0.23, 95% confidence intervals [CIs]: 0.14-0.38, p < 0.001) and postoperative complications (OR = 0.20, 95% CI: 0.15-0.26, p < 0.001) as opposed to conventional care. Available evidence suggests that EBN can effectively reduce the risk of wound infection and postoperative complications in patients undergoing appendectomy for AA, thereby improving patient prognosis. This finding is worth promoting in the clinical practice.

Observation of the clinical effectiveness of evidence-based nursing for patients with a vertebral osteoporotic fracture.

An osteoporotic fracture (OPF) can significantly affect patients' activities of daily living (ADLs). This study observed the effects of evidence-based nursing (EBN) on the occurrence of postoperative complications and ADLs in patients with a vertebral OPF. A total of 90 patients with vertebral OPF were divided into two groups. The conventional orthopedic nursing method was conducted for the control group, and the EBN model was delivered for the observation group. Differences in the Barthel index (BI) score on the first day of admission were not statistically significant between the two groups. The BI scores on the day before discharge, compared with the day of admission, had improved in both groups. The BI score on the day before discharge was 83.67 ± 6.94 in the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05) compared with the control group (76.56 ± 6.89). The rate of satisfaction with nursing in the observation group (100.0%) was significantly higher than in the control group (82.2%) (P< 0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (2.2%) was significantly lower than in the control group (24.4%) (P< 0.05). The implementation of EBN in patients with vertebral OPF improved the postoperative ADLs, reduced the incidence of postoperative complications, and improved the patients' satisfaction with nursing.

To Explore the Application Effect and Value of Evidence-Based Nursing in Patients with Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension Syndrome.

Objective The objective is to explore the nursing methods of evidence-based nursing in preventing serious complications in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension. Methods A total of 80 patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a research group, with 40 cases in each group. The blood pressure, Self-Efficacy Scale score, Disease Uncertainty Scale score, the incidence of maternal and infant complications, the improvement of mental state, and the patients' satisfaction with the nursing program were observed and compared between the two groups. Results Compared with before the intervention, the self-efficacy scores of the two groups were significantly improved, and the blood pressure, disease uncertainty score, SAS, and SDS scores were significantly decreased, and the indicators in the study group were better than those before the intervention. In the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After the intervention, among the 40 patients in the study group, 10 cases (25.00%) of cesarean section were significantly lower than 19 cases (47.50%) in the control group, and the nursing work satisfaction in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of evidence-based nursing interventions and smart medical nursing interventions to patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome has significant effect and can effectively improve the blood pressure control effect of patients during pregnancy.

Application of Functional Exercise Nursing Plan Based on Evidence-based Nursing After Hip Replacement

Objective: To explore the effect of functional exercise nursing plan based on evidence-based nursing in patients after hip replacement. Methods: A total of 150 patients who underwent hip replacement in the orthopedic second ward of our hospital during the research period from January 2010 to January 2020 were selected as the research object. The random number expression method was applied to achieve grouping of patients. Among them, the control group received conventional rehabilitation treatment; the experimental group guided rehabilitation exercises according to the functional exercise nursing plan after hip replacement, and the rehabilitation conditions of the two groups were compared. Results: Compared with the patients in the control group, the bed time (7.45 ± 2.10) days and average hospital stay (15.84 ± 3.29) of the experimental group were relatively shorter. The incidence of complications in the experimental group and the control group was 6.67% and 16.00%, which are significantly different. The difference in Harris hip score before surgery was small, and the difference when discharge and after discharge was gradually increased, showing a better care effect in the experimental group. There was no significant difference in preoperative quality of life scores between the two groups before surgery (P &gt; 0.05). The life quality of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group at discharge, 1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge, and showed most significantly after 3 months. Conclusion: The effect of functional exercise nursing plan based on evidence-based nursing in patients after hip replacement is remarkable, which can promote the recovery of patients, improve the quality of life, reduce the hospitalization time, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and has a positive significance in promoting clinical development in China.

Application Value of Evidence-based Nursing in Patients with Multiple Myeloma and Evaluation of Nursing Quality

<i>Objective</i> to explore the application value and quality of evidence-based nursing in patients with multiple myeloma. <i>Methods</i> A total of 92 patients with multiple myeloma from December 2016 to December 2019 were selected as observation objects, and they were divided into control group 46 and observation group 46 according to the order of admission. The control group was given routine nursing care, and the observation group was given evidence-based nursing care. The bone pain relief rate, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Score (PSQI), anxiety self-rating scale (SAS) score, depression self-rating scale (SDS) score and nursing quality were compared between the two groups. <i>Results</i>: The relief rate of bone pain in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The quality of sleep, sleep time, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction scores and PSQI total scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after nursing (P <0.05). P <0.05); SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after nursing (P <0.05). After the implementation of evidence-based nursing, the quality of basic nursing, specialist nursing, critical care, ward management, and health education nursing care of nursing staff was higher than that before implementation (P <0.05). <i>Conclusion</i> Applying evidence-based nursing to patients with multiple myeloma can improve bone pain relief, improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety and depression, and improve the quality of care.

Application of evidence-based nursing in blind intubation of helico-nasointestinal tube in patients with stroke-associated pneumonia in intensive care unit

Objective To study the effect of evidence-based nursing in patients with cerebral apoplexy in ICU by blind bedside spiral nasointestinal tube application. Methods To choose between September 2016 and September 2017 in our hospital ICU were 140 cases of patients with cerebral apoplexy as analysis object, randomly divided into two groups, two groups all use bedside blind spiral nose long intestinal tube technology, the control group using conventional nursing method for nursing, observation group using evidence-based nursing intervention, compared two groups of a success rate of catheter, accident to take off the tube (unscheduled decannulation rate), reflux hiccups, vomiting incidence of aspiration and patient satisfaction. Results The success rate of catheterization in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the incidence of accidental catheterization was lower than that in the control group. The incidence of reflux hiccup and vomiting aspiration was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the patient satisfaction was higher than that in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion For patients with cerebral apoplexy in the ICU bed of blind plug spiral nasal bowel technology combined evidence-based nursing intervention, clinical effect is remarkable, improve the success rate of catheter, reduces the surprise success rate of tube, unscheduled tube drawing number, reduces the incidence of reflux hiccups, vomiting aspiration, improve patient satisfaction and quality of life. The research of application of evidence-based nursing in patients with severe bron-chial asthma

Objective To study the application effects of evidence -based nursing in patients with severe bronchial asthma.Methods Totaled of 142 patients with bronchial asthma were divided into experimental group （ 71cases ） and the control group （71cases）.The experimental group adopted evidence-based nursing, and the control group adopted the routine nursing.Results In the experimental group, the length of stay and disease median response time was respectively 8 ±1.27 and 1.5 ±1.27days, health knowledge success rate and service satisfaction rate was respectively 90.14%and 91.55%;in control group the length of stay rate and disease median response time was respectively 14 ±3.46 and 4.5 ±2.87days, knowledge success rate and service satisfaction rate was respectively 69.01%and 70.42%, the difference was statistically significant （ P〈0.05） .Conclusions The application of evidence-based nursing in patients with bronchial asthma can reduce length of stay rate and disease median response time, promote the knowledge success rate and service satisfaction rate. The effect of evidence-based nursing on allergic reaction of the therapeutic plasma exchange patients

Objective To explore the application effect of evidence-based nursing in patients with therapeutic plasma.Methods Totaled of 70 patients with therapeutic plasma exchange in our hospital were divided into the observation group and the control group with the different nursing methods,the control group was given routine nursing,the observation group was given evidence-based nursing,the nursing effects were compared between the two groups.Results Acute complications of allergic reaction,sodium citrate,coagulation reaction in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Life quality score in associated symptoms and signs,the protection of vascular access,the ability of daily life and other aspects in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Evidence-based nursing makes nursing more targeted; it can significantly reduce the plasma exchange complications,improve patient life quality. Application of perioperative evidence-based nursing in patients with coronary heart disease underwent percutaneous coronary intervention treatment

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of perioperative evidence-based nursing on patients with coronary heart disease underwent percutaneous coronary intervention treatment.Methods 112 patients undergoing selective percutaneous coronary intervention were randomly divided into two groups, routine nursing group (n=54) and evidence-based nursing group (n=58). The evidence-based group received evidence-based nursing pattern while the control group adopted routine nursing method. The nursing effect of the two groups were compared.Results The incidence rate of adverse effect and complication in the evidence-based group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions The application of evidence-based nursing can promote patients' comfortable feeling, prevent and reduce complications and improve nursing quality. Application of evidence-based nursing in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing PTCA and intracoronary stenting

Objective To validate the clinical effect of evidence-based nursing on early rehablilitation of patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing PTCA and intracoronary stenting. Methods 47 patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing PTCA and intracoronary stenting were divided into the nursing group(24 cases)and the control group(23 cases).The nursing group received nursing with evidence-based nursing pattern while the control adopted routine nursing method. The nursing effect in the two groups was compared in the following aspects such as the incidence rate of adverse effect,average hospitalization days, athletic ability and psychological status. Results The incidenece rate of adverse effect Was lower(P＜0.05)and the average hospitalization days were shorter(P＜0.01)than those of the control group with addition of cardiovascular complications(P＞0.05).The athletic ability and psychological status were also superior to those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Application of evidence-based nursing could hasten the rehabilitative process of patients undergoing PTCA and intracoronary stenting.
