The separation and measurement of 99Tc are independent of each other and the enrichment, which leads to the further extension of the whole analysis process and the increasing potential radiation received by the operator. Plastic scintillation resins (PSresin) are novel materials used to separate, preconcentrate and measure radionuclides in a single step. Herein, a plastic scintillation resin Tc-PSresin was prepared, which exhibited fast removal kinetics (1 h) and high capacity (32.89 mg g−1 for ReO4-, surrogate of TcO4-) and almost not interfered by coexisting ions. In addition, the adsorption capacity, adsorption kinetics and detection efficiency of Tc-PSresin were compared with the commercial TK-TcScint scintillation resin produced by Triskem company. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of Tc-PSresin is 144% than that of TK-TcScint resin, and the equilibrium time of commercial resin was 12 h, which was much longer than that of Tc-PSresin under the same conditions. The detection efficiency of Tc-PSresin for Tc(VII) is higher than that of TK-TcScint resin, indicating that Tc-PSresin has great application potential for the enrichment and measurement of Tc(VII).
